Ok, so please help me out here - who was it Brenda went to see where she got high? I did not recognize the dude. Nate, pull your self together!!!
And, tell me what I am missing - Anita is being a total jerk, and is mean to Claire, but she still crashes at Claire's place?? And she and what's his name have sex in Claire's bed? Is this the way young people do things today? If someone treated me like Anita is treating Claire, I would tell her to take a long walk off a short pier, and certainly tell her she is not welcome at my house!!
Was this the episode where Keith slept with Celeste? What was he thinking?????? That is always an employment ending move, IMHO!
Jimmy seems to be an ok guy - at least he cares about satisfying his lover.
And, the trip to Mexico - that scene over the hot tub heater was hysterical!

I don't think we ever saw the guy before. I think it was just whoever she bought her dope from before. He'd said something about not seeing her for a long time. So I think this was his first, and maybe only, stint on SFU. I was happy to see that she caught herself and left without the pot and before she had a random sexual encounter.

I don't understand this whole thing either. It's like they have no feelings or something. I think maybe whatever drug they are all taking is keeping them from actually caring about one another. I couldn't understand how Claire just blew off how pissed Edie was at her. For the last three or four episodes, Claire was like, in love with this girl. Now Edie wants nothing to do with her. I would be devistated. I would do everything I could to mend the relationship!
I felt the same way about that Anita chick. She sure turned into a b!tch. What is her deal with Claire? What'd Claire do to her? And how dare her wear a skimpy nightie in Ruth's house. I couldn't blame Ruth one bit for being mad about that. Yeah, this whole thing is confusing. And no, that's not how all young people do things these days. But some do, unfortunately. I know I said before that I was reminded of my young days, but it wasn't all that! That's just crazy! I would tell Anita to kiss off as well.

Yes, Keith really did a dumb thing. Can't these guys control their penises? Geez! And the little tart went right ahead and put all the blame on him and fired him from her tour, tarnishing his reputation. So Keith is bi, huh?

One more thing I have to say about Claire. I was thinking, how could Ruth not step in and confront her on her drug use? Would you, as a mother, just sit idle and let it go as your kids trip out at the dinner table? I don't care how old they are, if they start that crap I'm sending them away from the table immediately, and having a nice long talk with them later on.

Hmm, good thought - it must be related to the drugs. Their relationships are very strange - not exactly friends, schoolmates, fellow artists, but they don't seem to give a real darn about each other. Their judgements are totally clouded and skewed.

I think her reason for being so pissy with Claire is that she was jealous about Claire's relationship with Edie.
And, yeah, why the heck is Anita in the main house anyway? If she is staying with Claire in the coach house, she has a kitchen there, and does not need to go to the main house. Don't these people lock their doors? George was funny in his reaction, "these young people always like to challenge a father figure - you should see their outfits in the summer semester." I guess we reap what we sow - there was an article I read recently about the sexualization of young girls, pre-teens, and the clothes they wear and the moves at elementary school talent shows as they imitate the pop stars they watch. I think they just grow up way too fast, and by the time they reach college, well, "girls gone wild". Nuff said.

But, if he had been thinking clearly, he should have known she would do that. It happens all the time. The star/person in power takes their moment, then discards the person they used.

True - especially the nice ones, seem to be very short lived in Claire's life. She has really been on a self-destructive trip lately!

Yes, I agree that I would not just ignore it - assuming that Ruth knows that she was stoned. But, I wonder if it is part of the California culture? I mean, her big brothers use
drugs all the time, even Keith, who used to be a cop for heaven's sake, is using. The other thing is that the show really does not show any ill effects from using the drugs, unless you count the messed up relationships and sexual promiscuity as we discussed earlier. None of this is part of my life experience, so it is hard to relate, but I guess maybe I am not typical, or this is a big exaggeration of life in LA?
