*drooling* How do you make them? I mean, how do you prepare them?

Cut bacon strips into thirds.
Wrap bacon around the chicken liver, secure with a toothpick. Bake at 400 for about 20 minutes.

Andrew did pretty well with his kid tho---I liked it when he called the kid chef. What I was waiting for was Spike to take a kids chef's hat.

OMG! I was thinking the exact same thing! I figured since the kids were explaining what they had cooked, spike's little helper was either going to sport his own or snatch Spike's. tongue.gif

Some people put a touch of mustard on the liver before wrapping, but another nice twist is to add a slice of water chestnut.

Again, with my cooking style, it's something insanely easy but tastes fantastic! biggrin.gif

Get a pot of water and put both cauliflower and broccoli. You're going to let it rise to a boil with the veggies inside (this will obviously take a lot longer than just boiling water, but you want the veggies to actually be a little over coocked so they're very soft.

Drain the water out and mash the cauliflower and broccoli as you would with mashed potatoes. Season it with salt and pepper. Put in some cream softened cream cheese and mix it in thouroughly.

Have a bowl of flower waiting. Depending on your tastes, you can either leave the flower plain (since the veggie/creamcheese mixture is already seasoned), or you can add either paprika for a more classic taste, or even chili powder or cheyenne if you want a little kick!

This WILL BE STICKY! take some of the veggie/creamcheese mixture and put it in the flower. Make sure it's well covered with the flower as you form it into a patties.

Have a pan hot and ready to go with some vegitable oil (you can use olive oil if you prefer). Then, fry the patties until they're a golden brown and a little crispy around the edges.

You can eat them as is, or even dip them in ranch dressing!

Thanks, and I dare say you'll get comments on your caveat blush.gif

Sounds wonderful -- only for me, I would need to add two final steps to the recipe --

Take double dosage of Lipitor to counteract massive cholesterol overdose.

Put ambulance on auto dial in anticipation of emergency need.

(I so-o-o-o miss the days when I could eat liver. Whether beef or chicken, I just love it. mad.gif )

I thought liver was supposed to be good for you?

Radyms and Mluv have you tried chicken livers stuffed with dates, wrapped in bacon and finished with an apricot jam/horseradish glaze (could also be used as a dipping sauce)? I can't remember the exact name. Something like Devils on Horseback or Angels on Horseback.
Maybe it was the Devil and the Angel Ran Away With Each Other. I just can't remember. laugh.gif

It's no stranger than the fact that I worship the very ground Drew walks on, and he's a huge fan of the Orioles and Ravens. I even go to Charm City, a town I can barely tolerate, because that's his home.

Now, Phil and I are going to "Iron Man", and then we're meeting Drew at Nationals Park to see the, now red hot, Nationals play the Pirates. I'll have a couple of chili dogs, some Boardwalk fries, and a couple of brews for all youse guys. That should be really heart smart, but, at least, I won't be smoking.

Catch youse folks on the flip-flop, and I'll give all here the 411.
