I never got the good fortune to meet any of them.

But I do have all of their books and admire the loyalty of the fans. I have gotten to know some of THEM...and would welcome hearing from them even after the show is over. I know all of the guys will have bright futures.

Hey, sweet De!
Here in my area, we got really lucky and NBC is airing old eps of QE at 3pm weekdays. It's really random....you never know which season they are going to select from but I couldn't care less! I'm just excited to have a "date" with Thom every day. I'm really excited that Thom will have another show starting in March on the Style network......to be honest, I'm hyperventilating a wee bit just thinking about it. Happy Valentine's Day to all my old pals on this board.....and to Thom, of course!

After watching a repeat today a.m. on NBC-NY I decided to see how the die hard fans are taking the soon to be canceled QE for the SG. They have been quiet about the failure to renew the show. Poor Decision.
I feel Bravo took for granted their HIT and neglected to nurture.
Did the audience really leave or are they not the I'll-go-to-Bravo.com-to -find-out type, wondering "another repeat? Wait it's on Tuesday night, right? No... what... When does the new season start?!" I'm sure by cable's standard ratings (vs. broadcast) it's still considered a hit. AND all that product placement? As ad revenue continues to drop for networks QE is a benchmark for how a show can logically place product in a seamless way. If Bravo follows through with the cancellation... they have given up on a great show. I love Tom, Carson, et al but in my opinion they are the only two that could hold their own solo. We'll find out TOM!

For the Thom Wives out there,

Thom's apartment is featured in the March Issue of Elle Decor so RUN DON'T WALK to the nearest bookstore/newstand to pick it up.

Rant on precious...

Back in the hay-day of these boards, there was a great comraderie... but the constant bullying by trolls, the broken promises and unfair edits by the BravoBoardBoss, the lack of consistency in scheduling, and the network's mishandling of the show, made us feel like there were no words posted here that could ever get to our dear Gentlemen Five, or Network Mavens... so many just gave up and left the boards.

Many (like me) have written requests for continuation - with only silence in return.

Today I needed something that took me to Bed Bath and Beyond. I walked throught the store and caught myself asking, What would Thom do with this? What would Jay do with that? OH! That's like something Kyan used... There's a item Ted might put in the kitchen... There's Carson's wooden hangers...

I drove home crying.

I pray they all do well in their lives... but the BBB, Bravo and NBC simply don't care. Writing here would make no difference.

Peace, --De

I'm here.....and I got your snail mail but for whatever reason, I didn't have the gumption (um, Tomasulo....I don't think people use the word 'gumption' any more.....at least, not within bull pucky throwin' distance of the big city)....where was I?...oh yeah. I'm here, sweet De. I've been thru the proverbial wringer the past year. As if losing QE wasn't enough, my job of 19 years ended when the product manufactured by my employer was outsourced to China last summer. I took a Certified Nurse Assisant course after being laid off but, even though it was a valuable experience in many ways, I realized that my heart is really in animal care.....people? not so much. So I recently started working in a veterinary clinic and I'm loving it in spite of the 50% decrease in my income. I give meds and injections, feed and exercise dogs in extended care, pick up poop......yup, it's heaven. I make do by watching old reruns of QE and waiting for "Dress My Nest" to begin but Ghod knows, I miss my Thom more than words can say. Yeah...that's right....I said "my" Thom......don't mess with me....I'm a woman on the edge. Thom, Ted, Carson, Kyan and Jai showed me that I still had a heart and I was still capable of laughing and crying, all within a 1 hour episode. I met some of the finest people I've ever known here on this message board and we remain friends to this day. Several of the SG's and their significant others became part of my life....shout out to John Kilcooley.....still sexy at 66+. I received a recipe from Corinne (Mrs. Jeff T.), chatted with Roe (Mrs. Mark F.), laughted out loud at e-mails from Kevin Downey, I met Ted at a book signing in Beverly Hills, tried unsuccessfully to stalk the FF at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, and....dare I mention it again?....received a phone call from Uber-Hot Thom. And I can't omit the tears that I shed after learning of the death of Jamie who will now forever be Jai's angel. QE changed my life....hell...it GAVE me a life that I thought I'd lost when my husband was killed. So, De, I guess it makes sense that it was easier for me to reply to you on this board. I do have an email address so you can contact me there if you want to. judytomasulo@yahoo.com
I've heard thru the grapevine that Thom is in the Los Angeles area at the moment filming his new show. My heart is all a-flutter just at the thought. So far he hasn't wandered up my driveway but you never know.....miracles do happen. I know 5 of them.

I'm soon to go through the same. My company, of almost 22 years, is closing the facility I work at and I'll likely be out by this summer. Your story of finding your passion working with animals is inspiring to me! Thank you for posting that!

Bravo has been showing reruns lately, and I have also been watching my tapes. I'm sure that by now the Fab 5 is all ready to pursue new things, but I sure hope that Bravo gives them the send-off that they rightly deserve. '

I'll be thinking pretty pink thoughts for you, KCee. Remember that tired, over-worked old phrase.....one door closes and another opens. Sometimes it's not actually a door but more like a doggie door or a mouse hole, but my point is, crawl thru it and make the best of it. This too shall pass. Love, peace, and strength to you, old friend. XOXO

BTW - I'm on an alter Yahoo! identity these days as well. As you know - someone else had already snatched just plain old "depoetic" at Yahoo... so I have alterations.

I miss y'all something terrible. ...I had pretty much discontinued watching Bravo in totality - so I've missed any QE reruns of late. I just get ill watching their diluted QE series. (Have you noticed the reality programs are all derivatives of our 5 Gents's strengths?) Sigh.

I am sooo sorry about the reduction in pay - dearest JT - but I know how much you love animals, so I am pleased you are following your joy. How's your "little" girl?

I'm soooo sorry to hear about your job too KCee! I hope you find your bliss as well! It is difficult to start again (as I'm learning everyday.)

You all remember my move to Abilene - well last year I was in the hospital 8 times and had 3 surgeries. I have 3 more surgical procedures that I'm putting off, since they're not life threatening. My father has become ill with a non-curable illness, but God has been gracious and after 3 months of hard praying and Specialists both here and in Dallas - he's getting better.

It has become apparent that we are going to not be moving. ...So I'm having to start over again here. God will provide.

Funny, isn't it? We all came together thanks to the gifts of those who wanted to help others get a new lease on life - and here we faithful are... facing our own new beginnings just as the powers that be are bringing our inspiration's project to an end.

Deep sigh.
I will be e-mailing you dear TJ...
((((((((((((Hugs to all who pass by))))))))))))))))))
Peace peeps. --De

Hi Tomasula...thanks for that shout out, hope everything is getting better with you. It seems that lhings are slowing down on the message board, I guess all good things must come to an end.
I have to admit, this was much more than a good thing for me! I got to hang around with five great guys and I got to meet a lot of great people in this chat room. I hope people stay in touch, my e-mail is kilcool7@aol.com.
Take care and God Bless you and your Family.

seriously.....thank you for reminding me how lucky I was to find the QE message board at a time when it was full of love, compassion, warmth, and understanding motivated by 5 of the finest men I've ever known. I can see by your previous posts that you've wandered over here from the boards for "Workout" and "Housewives". Maybe that explains the misplaced anger and lack of communication skills in your post.

Hello there, JG! How are you doing?
Well, I'm just posting this little message to you to say hello, since it's been a while since the last time I posted in here, and I miss all of you guys so terribly much!!!
I hope everything's great w/ you! BTW, someone mentioned that Jai's mom is far from being cool w/ her son's homossexuality but his dad is o-k w/ that... D'you know if his brothers accept this or not? I really hope Jai can finally convince his mom that being gay it's not a horrible thing, since he seems to be such a cute and sweet son and man, and I'm pretty sure she'll understand this sooner or later, right?
Lots of kisses and hugs!
NAT*-*

he doesn't have a dad so no one knows if he approves or not and jai said his mom accepts him now,so its all good if you go on Tszuji-it.com(I hope I spelled that right)and you go to jai's articles theres an article named dear mami or something along those lines its a letter jai wrote to his mom in people ensponal for mothers day and he writes a lot about his life with her.

Welcome to the forum hon.
So sorry to have you get here after all of us have pretty much left - with the show no longer airing, and all.

It looks like you're reading all our long since past posts... There's a lot of stuff to wander through.

Have a great time.
I hope you have a blessed day, dear one.

Isn't that just like the BBB to get avatars, and PM features AFTER they cancel our beloved show?

thanks for the welcome =] the problem with this whole thing for me is I dont have cable so I never got to see QE on bravo and then it came on NBC but they took it off recently and so I have been really upset about not seeing it and its driving me crazy. And I've been looking everywhere for episodes and interviews that ive missed of them.

If you have any resources or any way of getting to interviews or episodes of them I would really appreicate it,I need my jai!

jai is my favorite one by the way =] I also love thom and kyan too.

Greetings dear one.

I wish I could help you with videos - but sadly I can't. We all lobbied for the episodes to be put to DVD - but all they ever released were highlights. We wanted the WHOLE SHOW.

There may be others who can help you over at Carson's site.

The primary source for all this Queer Eye used to be a site called StraightGirlsEyeOnTheFab5.com
...But since the show's cancellation - the young woman who ran it has closed the site.

Now, many of the faithful still meet at Carson's website:
http://www.carsonkressley.com Just wait for the intro to finish - and then scroll down to the bottom and click on "Community" to sign up. We all come to his board with an appreciation for Carson - but many of us have other personal favorites. The main person to get to know over there is "Snooky" - she's quite the momma shepherdess for the board.
Thom's site doesn't have a message board. http://www.thomfilicia.com
Then there's http://www.tedallen.net ...but no messageboards there either.
Jai doesn't really have his own site anymore... there used to be several I could refer you to - but they have all closed as well.
Same goes for Kyan, unfortunately.

The old guard of Bravo - like me - visit so rarely. But if you need to flag me - this brand new instant message feature will at least e-mail me and let me know to write you.

Take care, hon. Peace! --De
