Discuss Jeff T.'s transformation from "Scary Garcia" to short-haired, blues-singing male model/cool dad.
marymac703
I'm glad Queer Eye is back, but this episode was a little disappointing. Normally I'm rolling on the floor laughing because of the Fab Five, but this episode seemed really tame and family oriented. Carson didn't even say "tzuj" once!!! I hope QE isn't taking a turn for the more "family oriented" type show...
jeffh
Definitely worth the wait! By far, the most touching show yet! The John Bargeman episode was a gem and a hard act to follow, but this one was the best! Kyan's best and most profound transformation to date. A terrific episode!
Melinda
Wow!! Wish Jeff was my blues singing postman! He looks 20 years younger and I think he will keep the new look. Really enjoyed his family's reaction; what a sweet daughter and what a lucky wife! The decor transformation was great. My favorite episode so far.
willem
Man! When they first showed up at the house I was scared that one of the Fab Five was going to be stuffed and mounted, that guy was SCARY lookin! Yeah, he did look like Snowy River Bowie.. I was suprised to see them shopping in Thomasville and Orvis..who knew? They nailed it..again!
willem
I know what you mean! I don't think they're selling out, though..I think they just adapted to the family situation...I kind of wondered if they could do it..
grndragon
WOW!!! Talk about a totally unbelievable transformation. Jeff looks awesome. He seemed really psyched about the new look. I think this postman is going to have more than dogs chasing him.
willem
Know what? as amazing as Jeff's transformation was - am I alone in thinking a touch of quick 'spray-tan' could've helped the alleviate the 'ghost beard'? I saw it...
DNBursky
Kyan gave Jeff a hair spray for wet hair and also another hair product. This website lists various hair care companies and the products used but did not mention which ones were used on this episode. Hope someone can assist.

Okay I really thought this guy looked so hot afterward! He looks amazingly like David Bowie, and I was just so impressed with not only the Fab Five, but with what a terrific guy Jeff was the whole time. And, if I may say so, his son is really hot, too! Dang! Well I loved it; terrific episode all around!

Yep, I was surprised they didn't even him out a bit more. Jeff could have looked even more amazing with a more consistent complexion.

But wow, didn't Thom do a great job with those two rooms? He's fantastic, really. I wish I was a candidate for his skills.

It was great. The best episode so far. It marked to things in Queer Eye history:

-Carson was seen driving for the first time.
-First straight guy tip.
Joan
Great episode! Could have done without the teen tagging along though; but, the best line of the night? When they were driving to go shopping and Carson said to her "Let's to the mall and pick up boys." Thom's transformation of the rooms was amazing; both the rooms were so warm.

I have to agree with MaryMac703. I have loved Queer Eye since Day one. To me it is one the best show on TV. But last nights show was too sappy. I dont want this show to turn into family night either, because I feel they will lose the edge that made them #1. Dont get me wrong, this guy looked great - as always - but just a little disapointed. Also, dont like Thom's new haircut.
Ashley
You're not the only one - I thought so too! Once I saw him clean-shaven, I thought "Wow, that's WHITE."
jws52151
I agree...this family also looked as though they could certainly afford to make the changes themselves. Did ya'll get a load of the size of their clothes closet? I say stick to the guys who need it the most!Every episode is a hoot. (As a bit of advice to Richard M. in the upcoming episode #115, do you REALLY think that no one suspects you're wearing a rug?? I can spot 'em at 50 yards and yours is definitely scary. Bless your heart, you haven't fooled anyone)I'm a single mother of 2 grown (young) children and I LOVE these guys. This is the freshest and funniest show to hit TV in ages...and I can't get that damn theme song outta my head! You go guys.....what funny, talented hotties!

This new episode was worth the wait. It showed the FAB5's sensitive side. Oh my god! Jeff was handsome before but after his makeover he looked out of this world. I was touched by the way his wife could not take her eyes off him. If she could I think she would have done the nasty right there on floor. FAB 5 RULES.....keep it coming gentlemen!
Rachel
I couldn't believe how funny Thom was in this episode.

Know what? as amazing as Jeff's transformation was - am I alone in thinking a touch of quick 'spray-tan' could've helped the alleviate the 'ghost beard'? I saw it...

No, I thought that too. He still looked good though.
Lacey
I agree -- I was thinking it was a much more family oriented show than what I'm used to from QE. Although I did very much enjoy the episode, it was pretty tame in comparason. I think my fav aspect of the episode was what an awesome family they are, I think that touched me the most. And wow!! what a beyond fabulous makeover!! He does look like David Bowie :-)
I just hope they're not going too mainstream.......
CITforMe
I totally agree!!! The last time I saw such a transformation was with Butch (Brian). That was one of my favorite episodes, and so was the one with Josh the crew guy.
Quiddler
Looks like it. Let me be the first to say: I liked him better BEFORE. I was watching the show, simultaneously drooling over him and dreading the moment when all that fabulous hair (head and beard) was going bye-bye. Unfortunately, for the FIRST time, I gotta give a thumbs down to a Fab Five makeover.

Oh well. The House looked good.
witchgirl
I thought that this episode was sweet. However, having the fourteen-year-old along really cut down on the comments involving sexual innuendos, which are really funny.

Unless it's to the floor, I don't mind a man having too much hair at all - just keep it in some kind of order. Jeff's wasn't bad and his look wasn't bad, he just had it too long. Now when they shaved off the hair, my goodness, no way I could argue with that - he looked just like David Bowie! I was saying in Yahoo group that he could model again! I really like teen daughter tagging along for this one. She's obviously very close to her father and he seemed to value her opinion too. The whole family really was cute - sappy or not, it is the way more families should be. I also thought it was great that the kids held no prejudice against the guys. I think the guys did an outstanding job in this episode (George K will always be my fave though). The boys aren't selling out, they adapted to the situation at hand. If you're crossing the street and you drop a coin in the middle of the road but a truck is barreling down on you out of control, are you going to stop and pick up that coin like you usually would or move back, let the truck pass, then go back and pick it up. The boys will pick up where they left off in a much more appropriate environment. Adaptation does not equal selling out so don't worry

I have to agree...this episode was the best one yet. It was a major transformation. He looked good before the makeover...and looked awesome at the end. He now looks 20 years younger. That was their best work so far. I am so addicted to this show....My boyfriend is hooked as well. I am so excited that there will be more new episodes coming. I can't wait to watch and see what happens. I actually cried last night at the end. Very emotional episode. Bravo to the Fab Five.

I thought Jeff T's transformation was AMAZING! While I like to see long hair on a man, he has to be able to pull it off. Jeff is one of those men who definitely looks better with a short style. Oh, and I thought the family-oriented approach was a nice change, but hoping it's not a permanent theme.
SewQueen
OK, I felt that at first the Postman was a little intimadated by my fav 5! Especially, when they were perusing his house and his stuffed animals. But what really rocked my world, was the wife's reaction or lack thereof, to the fabulous transformation of the house. Did I detect typical female cat kingdom, fangs and fur rising? Or do I know the Green Monster syndrome too well?
kwalker
What a disappointment. Yes the makeover was fab. (Thom is absolutely amazing), but the show had maybe one laugh total. I agree this family could have afforded to just hire a decorator and do this themselves. And, come on, did he really need any tips? The guy was a model in the 70's, so he knew everything he needed to do. He had just chosen to stop trying. I sincerely hope they don't start including the families. It does seem to cut down on the snide/funny/ borderline dirty comments, which help make the show so great. It hurt the last show where they tried it (when Carson took the girlfriend shopping) and made this one tiresome to watch. Let's get back to the real shlubs who need so much work!

Oh mah Gawd I loved this episode!! It is my FAVORITE besides the Andrew one. I just laughed my butt off at that one at how many funny things the fab 5 had to say. This one...was just plain awesomeeee. His son is realllllyyyyy hot and he was also pretty good looking. You 5 did an AWESOME job and I hope the rest of these new episodes and the ones to come in the future are just as good!! Snaps for the Fab 5!!

Butch is my favorite episode. Plus, it was Andrew who was the crew guy.

Couldn't agree more. I kept asking my husband, who was watching with me, "When are they going to get him a little tanning help for the lower half of his face?" But he did look TONS better. It was funny watching the Fab Five having hysterics because Jeff's family used paper plates and disposable glasses. Where was this filmed? The setting of Jeff's house was incredibly beautiful!
Kitchenloner
This episode was great! My straight eyes were nailed on the screen.
But I think Ted could have asked the straight guy to do something more. The fish roll-up sounds exotic, but I expected something more wild (e.g. duck or rabbit) that could match the magnificient interior design Thom worked on. I'm really sorry about the plastic cups. The family should have watched Ted's tip on the wine glass!
DistilledSpirit
I totally agree about the ghost beard situation... and I too agree that Jeff looks like David Bowie... but I was also thinking Richard Chamberlain... what do you think? I really thought the rooms looked marvelous after the transformation.

Two things. One. Jeff looked 1000 times better. Two. QE hasn't "gone family." What I love about these guys is that they aren't trying to make others like themselves, but they are all about helping others be what they want to be. This was a family guy and they went with that. I love how they cheer people on at the end of the show when the straight guy transformation is revealed. I wish I had friends like this.
Minx
I absolutely LOVED this episode!!! The family theme was cute, loved the way carson and Jeff's daughter got along so well...EVERY member of the fabulous 5 did their jobs well...Ted keep the great recipes coming Sexy!...Thom...you rule! Carson...I bow to the Frank Sinatra of fashion you are just too cool...Kayan and Jai...when I finish drooling over you I'll think of something wonderful to say about you as well...Keep the great shows coming guys! You're the BEST!

My "boys" did good, once again. I frankly can't wait for them to reach the West Coast ... boy, do we need you out here or what? Enter me in any contest that includes spending a weekend with my "boys" ... a few Merlots {yes, in Glass ...Ted} and with lots of candles {Thom}...I would love to veg with these guys ... happy happy
Chiflada
You're not alone. I thought a little bit of make up/spray on tan was in order. Even though, I still thought Jeff looked great. He went from Greg Allman to David Bowie - unbelievable!
speedyc
The guys did an amazing job on Jeff and the house. The reaction of his wife to the transformation was great. You could tell that she loved it. The house was amazing. I agree that they could have afforded to do it themselves but sometimes it takes an outsider to set it in motion. The daughter tagging along was ok because this family is a close knit group but hope that this will not become a regular thing.
reneelee15
Loved IT!!! Best episode yet! He looked so fabulous!!!!! Bravo! Ha no pun intended!
BratzBoyDylan
Wow, what a difference a gay makes. That was one of the biggest transformations I've ever seen. He looked like a totally different person. The Fab 5 are awesome, they're my heroes. When I grow up I wannabe just like them.
afreire001
The episode was a little to FAMILY for me. The family was obviously well off and its a shame that they got a free makeover when so many others cant afford it on there own. I love the FAB 5, so regardless, I enjoyed the show. They definately worked their magic on the straight guy.
Mia1
The "ghost beard" drove me crazy too. I was really surprised they didn't use some spray tan. They have in so many other episodes.

P.S. My boy's name is Willem. Don't hear it often.
CatandWolfy
My first thought was Richard Chamberlain...looking good. This guy was great looking to start with then transformed to gorgeous.

Double Bravo to Thom...this place was OK (few too many animals)turned into FABULOUS.

I love this show. It is the only show I will not miss...

The FAB 5 need to make their way to Texas...lots of fellas could use some help down here.

Loved it!!! I was SOOO glad they went into Orvis (my favorite). I enjoyed the fact that the daughter came along, changes Carson approach to his sexual inuendo. He is dammed clever.
MicahJones
I really liked this episode. I'm a Fab 5 addict though, so I'll love anything they do. LOL. The ghost beard was a little drab though, but hey, look at how wonderful he looked with his new look! Very great.
Carsonfan
It was different and fun that they had a whole family, instead of same-ole Straight guy and Girlfriend! I loved Carson's line to the teenage daughter: "Lets go pick up boys at the mall!" It was touching how Carson included her while dressing up her Daddy. Bravo Carson!
Carsonfan
"Ohmi...god." as Thom would say. Did you not see his Wife's reaction to his new look? That's what it is all about. And he looked ten years younger! He looked alot like David Bowie. One of the things the show is about making straight men more appealing to their own wives, and her reaction was JOYOUS so, I disagree with you wholeheartedly, it was a QE success!
jowsha
My fiancee and I thought this episode was FABTASTIC!! The dramatic change in Jeff was unbelievable. The family was so cute. This is one episode the Fab 5 should be proud of! We fell on the floor when Ted hooked Thom and said "Hey look! I caught a [expletive deleted]!" What a hoot! Each of the Fab 5 has such adorable and funny personalities. We love the show. Keep it coming!
ilovejaiandkyan
I loved the episode. The guys did a great job once again. Jeff loved so much younger. It was so worth the wait. I can't wait to see next week.
willem
Yes! Chamberlain - good call! He actually looked alot more like him than Bowie..HA!
willem
One more thng about this episode...TED FISHING! HAHAHAHA!!
That's worth the admission price right there! I absolutely love love this show!
I hope there will be action figures in time for Christmas.
