I caught this show last night - very disappointed. My husband and I have been working out with trainers for a while now and thought this show would be affirming of our goals and methods. Hoping for some good info too.
All I saw was an egotist in a power position (Jackie) calling another person egotistical (Brian), debasing him in front of others and playing mind games with his head. Not a good management style. Mentoring doesn't seem to be a possibility here just power plays. Talk about being insecure.
For someone with such a great life experience and in such good shape physically and economically how can Jackie put up with an abuser of a girl friend? Mimi exhibits not one iota of acceptable behavior. Made me ill and not life affirming at all. I won't waste another hour on this one.

I agree and think Mimi is a total basket case. When Jackie said that Mimi was 11 years younger I thought she was kidding. I thought Mimi was OLDER than Jackie because of how insecure she acted and because of how dehydrated she looked. Sorry but the biting thing---- I bite my husband but not leaving abusive marks-- like, "Just KIDDING" -- never actually biting him because I love him. I would never want to hurt him, playing around or not. Mimi has to go. I predict by the end of this show's season that the BLEEP is gone. Jackie can do better. I could say that I do not mean to be ripping on Mimi but -- I DO mean to. She is an incredible NUT. Her behavior was uncalled for. I WISH that when she confronted the flirty girl about mooning Jackie-- that the flirty girl would have mooned her too. I can't wait to watch the show that is coming--- the dumping show.

I would imagine that when Jackie and Mimi, et all, watch the show, they will "see" things from a different perspective. Often we can't see the whole picture if we are too close to something. Being filmed will allow the trainers, Jackie and Mimi to see their behavior, choices and attitudes in an entirely different light and that should prove edifying.
And as an aside, these individuals are basically strangers to us and we absolutely DO NOT know the full context of their lives and therefore are in no rational position to judge them or offer advice on their lives.

I was not in a position to judge... I watched the behavior and saw the bite marks.
No, we cannot see everything and yes we only see what they show us....but I saw enough. Jealousy and insecurity are not attractive.

3% body fat, 97% drama...love it, love it, love it! Like some others have mentioned Jackie has quite an ego, but what successful female entrepreneur doesn't! From one boss lady to another - Rock on honey! Oooh! and can't forget to mention, it certainly doesn't hurt ratings that Jackie and her staff are sexy!

I have a question I hope someone can answer. It seems like all the trainers -- and several of the clients -- are wearing the same necklace. It's a black string that hangs down pretty low and has a metal doughnut shaped disc attached to it. Can anyone tell me what this is... who makes it... a link to it...? Thanks

Also, am i going crazy or did the coming attractions for next week show jackie sticking her stomach with a needle???

She does look like Scarlett and another thing I noticed is that Erika looks like Angelina Jolie, I know that may be a far fetched opinion BUT i totally see it and was like WOW!

my sentiments exactly. I can't help but wonder what's driving her angst over this guy; worried about him recruiting her girlfriend to the other team? Or perhaps he's the only one in the facility NOT brown-nosing (which also explains the relationship with the esteem-challenged g/f). I just didn't get the point of singling HIM out, especially when there's an attention-starved basket case mooning and flirting in the workplace.
Jackie is no role model for anything except what a leader/manager is NOT supposed to do.
Like it or not, Peeler has more physcial strength than she because God made him that way. I commend him for showing restraint with this head case.

I think this show is FABULOUS!Every one that is saying that Jackie and Mimi should break up are CRAZY!!! They are the most adorable couple u have ever seen on tv. They might be a little rougher with eachother than other couple but so what?!?! They look EXTREMELY happy together. No one has the right to say anything because no one knows what goes on when the cameras turn off. Every couple is unique in their own way. And people who say there is to much drama...hello, check out the slogan..."3% Fat, 97% Drama"!!! Jackie is a very strong, gorgeous, out going, independent, successful woman! Way to go Jackie! I love the show and i except wonderful things from it!

Hey...I noticed the needle scene too, maybe Jackie is diabetic! Still, more interesting than the needle scene is the upcoming episode where lil' Mimi has a fit and throws a glass at Jackie in a Restuarant/Bar! LOVE THIS SHOW...OFFICIALLY CLEARING MY CALENDAR ON TUES. NIGHTS @ 9PM!

I thought this show was awful. The abuse was so obvious which showed that Jackie was a [expletive deleted] at work, but a weakling in her relationship. The idea that Mimi is a trainer might end with this show because who wants an abuser in their life. They both need therapy. Jackie likes to play mind games, and she wants the best trainers, but lets face it they bring in the clients. If they leave so do the clients. The guy should have put her in her place. Demeaning him in front of his customers and peers is not cool, mentoring, or anything else. I saw an angry women who liked to pick on a guy because she gets abused by her woman. Funny she did not deal with the inappropriate behavior from the girl who mooned her. She let her girlfriend do it.
I think this show is a one season thing and then its off and I have a feeling that Jackie and Missie won't be together or really training anymore. Bad behavior brings consequences.

That is what I thought. For someone who seems to EXPECT respect from people and gives the impression she exudes confidence, she does the total opposite with her partner. I lost a lot of respect for her after viewing those scenes. and apparently there is more to come. I will watch but I hoping she dumps this person very soon.

Throughout the episode I noticed that the trainers and their clients were wearing a distinct necklace around their necks. It looks like a black cord with a silver hoop attached. I was just wondering what they were for? Anybody know??

Looks like a fun show to watch, can’t wait to see the blow up knock down fight between Jackie and Mimi. After 4 years of being together I think the new gym and TV show demands will put a fork in that violent relationship.
And that trainer Erica really needs to lighten up about the flirting issues and turn her upside down smile right side up.

I just caught my first episode and missed some of it so I am not sure if they said the name or not. I have one question and it is killing me so I hope someone can answer it. The girl Brian was training when Jackie was eyeing him looked so familiar. The one who told him Jackie was eyeing him. Does anyone know who she is? I know I have seen her on something before.

i like enjoy watching this show. i really like jackie; she is goal oriented and just seems nice. her trainers are definitely a mixed bunch w/ a lot or personality, which makes the show more interesting. as for her girlfriend, i think the biting thing is cute. in addition, i wonder if jackie or the trainers have any fitness advice or regimes in the form of magazine articles or dvd's. does anyone have information about this?

Hi. Couldn't agree with you more! What a waste of time.
Thought the show held some promise, too, but seeing an insecure woman in charge who's "my place ,my rules" style of
management was demeaning to her staff left me cold.
Then, as if to confirm her insecurity, they bring in the girlfriend !!! Well, at least the show has a sense of humor.
I won't be watching it again, but I did get a grin out of the
p-whipping. ;-)

I love love love this show!! Thank goodness Bravo repeats their programming , even though I recorded the first episode, I watch it over and over again. Its great to see an women and a queer woman handling her business. And I guess Jackie is kinda cute. I love working out, I just started a quest to lose some weight and change my body. Working out has really changed my life. I find exercise so transformative, for your body as well as your spirit.
I am considering pursuing a certification to train. BC I love working out that much, and it can really help create real change in someones life.
Bravo put all my favorite things together, drama, lesbianism, weights and cardio.
Can't weight till Tuesday night..........its so delicious

I LOVED the show, my girlfriend and I fought during and after the show, it is every lesbian passionate affair. Plus, you have a spicy Latina and a a very open butch and you get DRAMA. As far as the biting comments, come on my girlfriend loves to grab my ass, and I think she gets so excited she ends up clawing it, I swear it burns! Same thing. In a het- relationship guys will grab a tit or some females will mess up there mans hair. I am sure we all have gotten so excited we went a little over borad, so MIMI I got MAD LOVE U!!! I am in teh same boat, see I think everyone has lost a little something called respect for ourselves and our partners in addition to that the anything goes attitude has 80% of marriages end in divorce, of course EVERYONE wants to be able to do whatever they want and have their partner not say or feel threatened but the truth of the matter is that those of us that love our partners DO care! I LOVE THSI SHOW LOVE JACKIE AND LOVE MIMI.

Jackie, I love the show and everything you represent. Especially for the Gay Community. However, I am afraid I will have to delete my season pass on TIVO for the primary reason I cant TOLERATE Brian. What a Jack@##. Of all the people that you could pick, that typical meat head is not someone I can watch. You should have fired his a@## when you had the chance. Come on Jackie...wake up!

This is one of the cheesiest additions to the reality line-up. The trainers are vapid, one-dimensional morons and the "lesbian gym owner" and her cliche' driven relationship are an embarrassment to any forward thinking (and acting) queers. The premise is SO superficial and 90's retro. I mean, really, gyms are for going in, doing your thing, and getting the hell out. Any supposed "drama" that takes place within the walls of a gym is too embarrassing and empty to even contemplate let alone set up for the cameras. BAD idea, Bravo. The upside is that I'm inspired to spend more time doing crunches than sitting in front of a box watching these idiotic Hollywood media [expletive deleted].

OMG! Drop the whole biting/domestic abuse thing!!!!! Jackie is 37 years old, a successful business woman, and not to mention....she’s an absolute knock out. She's got a lot going for her now, so if she wanted to get out of that relationship she would. We've seen approx. a 3o minute synopsis (which is completely edited for drama) of their 4 year relationship. Does that really give us insight into their so called "dysfunction"? We don’t know the first thing about them (and never really will)! I'll keep watching...and if Jackie stays w/ her, it's proof that Mimi’s obviously doing something right. Lucky girl....

Well, since i'm in title of an opinion; here i go, i think the people are misunderstanding Jacki's behavior, in such a wrong way. I totally agree with her convictions and totally agree on the way she approach every situation relate to HER gym. Also i would like to say, the she need to get separated from "Mimi", she is a total "Pain In The Back". It's better if she just finish with that relationship, not because of the "lesbian" thing, but because this Girl is not ready for a commitment, she's constantly acting like a child, instead of doing what a woman should do in her case, plus i always say, and this is from expirience, a person (no matter what is his sex orientation), a person who acts with such a jelousy or possesive attitude, is more propense to end up damaging themself or the one next to them. This is just an advice, you can take it or forget it, but in the short period the i've been watching your show, i believe the you deserve a lot more than just another paint on the wall. Get Rid Em Of Her!! Do it while is not too late!!

So, I just finished watching episode #2... there STILL isn't a lot of working out. The few clients they did show were so uninteresting. So you want a boob job. So your dad is famous whoopdeedoo. What's with the gastric bypass woman? I saw it on teasers for next week. I'm interested to see how THAT is handled.
I know this is a drama, and I'm all for it. But Grey's Anatomy is also a drama - that deals with the actual space they occupy - the world of medicine. Please, Bravo, Jackie, whoEVER... let's have a little more meat.

jackie did an interview with the advocate and stated she didnt have a circle of gay friends. if she did, i can guarantee her sistas would tell her to RUN away from mimi. its possible jackie just hasnt had a lot of experience with women like mimi (juvenile, immature, needy, whiny, clingy). thats why we lesbians need a support system to help us see the symptoms of a toxic relationship.
notice jackie said she 'lost' her phone, then it 'wasnt charged'. why didnt she ask to borrow someone else's phone, as mimi suggested? why didnt she just use a payphone?
because she knew mimi would be enraged that she didnt call. that was jackie's feeble attempt at control, of showing mimi 'who' exactly ran this rel'p.

Ok for me this is reviews of Episode 102.
Much better than the last one Episode 101.
Had more varieties with bosse's business. A+
Boss needs to move forward with business, get rid of your girlfriend, but leave the doors open, girlfriend needs to re-evaluate herself, and wake up!
So far seen the better teamwork bonds for business, that was exciting to watch "bootcamp". Before and After.
Still missing some meat of the show, I mean after all this is a work out Gym and Spa. where's the work outs (the missing 3%)?
I like that the owner and righthand woman, beleives in excercise before the "knife surgery". A+
Overall this reminds me of "Breakfast Club" but with Gym Trainers.
That was good depth of backgrounds of Gym Trainers, was interesting, with that in mind, I have changed my viewing points to neutral from bad. Looking forward to seeing the outcome of the next episode 103.

Thanks Lori, I am also disappointed to not see more of MIMI on any photo's, or advertisements of the show, and yet she is probably one of the main reasons people watch the show. Lori, thank you for your post! Let me know if you find anything out on MIMI. In NewCity magazine here in Chicago, they say she is a Brazilian model/trainer, nothing else.

shooter, I agree that Brian is full of himself, egostistical, and very vain. That is life, why wouldn't you expect to see a guy like him in the gym? Also, did you notice that Jackie is also to a degree like him? I may be wrong, but she seems a bit jealous and intimidated by Brian, and when Jesse came along, Brian totally did a Jackie. I also Love her for representing on BRAVO

okay okay!!! yesterday's episode was not as exciting as the first. I am extremely interested in the next show, because of the relationship Jackie has with her mother (reminds me of my own) I have recruted everyone from work and my lesbian friends to watch we are going to "workout' every Tuesdays and alternate homes. Wine and cheese will be served. We do this for the L-word too Good job BRAVO I am addicted to your line-up

I actually wasn't even going to bother watching this show when I first saw the previews. I thought Jackie was too in your face & aggressive & I just didn't think the show would be that interesting. But.. I'm hooked. I think Bravo has great shows & this doesn't seem to be any different. I love that there's a mixture between little workout tips that I plan to use & some entertainment too.
And for all the people harping on Mimi...get over it! Obviously Jackie is in love with her..they've been together for 4 years & it looks like they want to have a child together. Apparently their relationship works for them. No one is perfect, but as long as you're happy, do your thing!

Ps. Forgot to mention... as much as I think Jackie handles her upscale gym well, I completely disagreed with the way she spoke to Brian in front of his client. She may be the boss, but that was still disrespectful. You shouldn't belittle someone in front of other people. Especially if it's in front of someone that you're trying to teach & gain respect from. She really should have called him into her office or waited until he was through with the session & then asked to speak to him. Very unprofessional.

omglikewhoa, I've watched both episodes so far. And I think they are really good. The trainers are amazing and I wouldn't mind them training me. I know it's just reality TV and that's prolly not how Milena (mimi) is in real life, but I have seen enough of her and think Jackie has got to let her go. They make a very hawt couple and everything, but Homegirl seems very selfish and insecure about the relationship. And that is just so unattractive and annoying. OMG, Jackie goes on a retreat and she didn't tell you. It's not like she's planning to hook up with someone there. And then she doesn't call you, and you flip out? wow, they have a great relationship. It just annoys me to see Mimi behave like that. Shoot, I'm not a lesbian or anything, but if that's how it is, then I don't know.
If I was a lesbian, I would totally go after Jackie. She has an exceptional body. It's like whoa.

I think their necklaces are actually microphones because I remember seeing them on the Manhunt guys.
