I think there is always one that goes overboard and one that waits until the very last minute to get started. I cant wait to see who is the new " Wendy, Santino" You know the one we all hate and they leave in until the end.

I'm so anxious to find out what this bunch is all about, Although I feel like the claws are about to come out as early as now...What's up with the Guy with the British accent?...He sorta reminds me of...Lestat...CREEPY

LOL! He reminded me of Heinz, the Baron Krauss von Espy, from Intolerable Cruelty (played by Jonathan Hadary).

I can not deal with another Wendy/Santino. >< Though...Malan has rubbed me the wrong way. Who gets accepted to Project Runway then declines only to chow up at the next season?!?! Does not make any sense.

I didn't hate Santino and he was talented. I think all three of the finalists, in fact most of the cast, in the second season were better than those in the first with some exceptions but no exceptions amongst the last three. I like them all better than Jay, Wendy and Kara S.
I am getting that feeling about Malan too.

I love these people.
My Favorites:
Keith
Laura
Jeffrey
Alison
Least Favorites:
Malan
Robert
Intermediate:
Michael
Bradley
Kayne
The Rest: I don't think they have a chance
There is a really big couple of factors here with this new crew. I've read over every Bio. Its basically Education Vs Experience, Compared with limitations.
I love some of these characters, all original personalites.
Keith is like Emmett except he has a lot more experience, Laura is hilarious and reminds me of Joan Crawford's Mommy Dearest: Love that comparison.
Alison has nice experience and personality, and reminds me of Chloe. Jeffrey is the new Santino in line with Malan. Michael reminds me of Zulema, except he is nicer. Robert Reminds me of Daniel Franco.! Enough Said

After watching the first Episode, The Harvard girl did a very similar booboo that alabama Heidi did in the second episode. She was also similar to a Marla by not really knowing how to sew, but I really would have loved to see how her education could have stretched out. I think Robert Should have been out. He's just rediculous! I have to say that I am happy that Keith Won, He is my Favorite, but I think I love Laura and her Personality! And...why are the gays so bitchy! Why can't everyone just be nice, I hope there is some smack down in this show. I'm upset I also didn't get to pick who i thought the winner and loser because they just updated the website, and we also can't rate the runway, nor can we see Tim's Take: I'm so impatient. I have to say that I think everyone though has a lot of potential and has a lot more creativity than some of the people in PR2. Can't wait to watch more!!!

I totally think Malan is a vampire. The accent, the pale pale skin, the jet black hair, the evil laugh...oh my God. Creeps me the hell out.
Anyways, I thought Robert should have won, his dress was fantastic. Keith's was good too, though, especially for his first dress ever.

I agree. He has a "Dr. No" kind of thing going and it is..well, not endearing. They should call him Dr. No.

p.s. they gave the show away with that commercial before the judging even began.

brillant! the designers work well with the challenge. vincent however, has a 70's love for fashion and that era was cute but his outfit needed modern appeal not a hat. stacey design was sophisicated, summer like, commfortable, and romantic. unless vincent moves up to modern age, the judges are going to disappointed

Posted this in the "Designers" thread by mistake, so I'm reposting it here:
It's not easy to peg the contestants this early on, but right off the bat, I've gotta say that I agree with those who've said Malan's rubbed them the wrong way. Something about him just seems all affectation and little substance, but like I said, it's early yet.
And I adore Keith, but who knows, maybe it's just because I think he looks a lot like Jude Law!
Already can't wait for next week's ep!

I was HIGHLY disappointed when Robert did not win the first challenge! His dress with the red bows and beads was awesome! And, the winner's dress was merely a bed sheet. Granted, it was very pretty, Robert's dress was amazing. It was a let down.

I thought overall the designs were pretty good.
My top picks were Michael, Robert, Keith, Laura, and Kayne. Very beautiful executions. Their outfits seemed so wearable.
My least favorite was Vincent. What was he thinking with that thing he called a hat, but innovation has to count for something I guess. That looked totally crazy.

I am so excited this show is back!
Before I start I had to say I am biased because I know Robert Best.
That being said my favorite of the show was the designer that did win.
Creepy Milan makes me feel like I need to take a shower, wear garlic around my neck and a huge fricken cross to ward him off. EEEEWWWW
Fried brain guy with the stupid hat is probably not going to last long.
My husband can not stand to look at the woman with 5 kids and lips that look like she had bright red seared into them with a tatoo needle. Very few women can wear red lipstick and she is not one of them.
Hood guy is creepy in a different kind of way and I see him as being the next Santino.
Can't wait for next week!

I think that Malan is scary and will fall flat on his face later on in the season (at least I hope).
The best designer won tonight, that dress was really cute and Keith (is that his name? It usually takes me a few episodes to learn all the names) seemed on target. The commercials previewing his delve into jerkhood scare me though.
Vincent should have been gone tonight, but I think they kept him around for entertainment.
I really didn't get a sense of all the others, but I am definately not a fan of Vincent, Malan, or the female from Ohio (she seems too crafty for me).

Wow!!! This is going to be a great episode. I can't wait til next week. Vincent...strange, Jeffery...also strange, Malan...even stranger. Who knows what will come.
There will definately be a designer who will stands out like Austin, Santino and Wendy. Hurry up next week.
Oh yeah, I have to type a comment from my daughter...
My daughter thinks that Stacey looks like Eazma from The Emporer's New Groove (an Disney movie)
see ya next week.

I think the challengers did a good job with creating a type of fashion without the fabric. I just wish the producers of the show would also express their oppinions on who and why they choose who they do.
It would be nice to see the ballance between fashion and production/entertainment.
sorry about the rambling...i really enjoy fashion and how entertainment and fashion effect people in such amazing ways....I just suck at spelling, can't type, and have a hard time getting my words to fit what my brain would like to say.
Have a good night.

It's bad timing for a vote, when we haven't even seen the clothes yet. They should take the online poll after the runway show and compare the results with the actual loser to see if viewers agreed.

I loved the challenge and thought that the designers showed a lot of personality, was very impressed with Laura pulling off the jacket in only eight hours but worry that she is going to be like daniel last season and be to consistant to her taylored conservative lines...could see the judges getting on her for that real quick....
I agree I liked Roberts dress, but in looking at it the beads and bows were very "barbie"
I guess I respect Keith for being smart enough to pull off the extra's he didnt believe in and keeping true to his own style...
havent picked a favorite yet think it is pretty early.

In the words of Michael Kors... I am underwhelmed.
What happened to the Banana Republic endorsing? I really am upset about that. I always looked forward to the Banana Republic design challenge. It usually got the best work out of all the designers.
Malan better be the one "going home early" or else I think I may need to stop watching the show. That accent is so fake it makes me sick. I am going to hear that laugh in my nightmares.
There are definitly some good designers, and I liked the first challenge, especially the fact that they came back to the rooms they trashed, but I'm not too sure yet.

The vote thing is stupid and for $$ only. The problem I had with it was that it gave awy who the three worst were before the clothes were even shown or judged! If you saw the commercial you knew who the bottom three were already. That was VERY bad timing for a money making stunt.

Okay Dear,
Before you assume that I am even including race when it comes to personality and talent, I suggest you refrain from judging what I infer, especially when racism had nothing to do with my comment. Michael's designs so far from his portfolio and his sayings on commercial remind me of the confidence of Zulema--thats all I meant. I don't feel I should map out every comment out for those who are sensitive--so please, don't assume.
On another note, I did plenty of comparisons with other designers and no one mentioned that I was comparing any racism remarks with the white people--
Please, not to sound pretensious, but please I don't want ignorant people responding to my posts! Thankyou

I think we've all agreed that Malan is strange beyond words. However, if you've noticed some of the early promos, Jeffrey says something about sabatoge....soooo, yes, I'm looking forward to see just who it is that they ask to leave (cuz it's got something to do with something that is not allowed in their contract for the show)

hhheeeeyyyy, color me disappointed. There were all these promos of Tim Gunn saying "You need to leave..." and supposedly shocking moments. Did I miss something? a shocking first on project runway? what what what happened!!?? Who got chucked off? did they smack some one? Hit a crack pipe, what??
And just as a little side note, I like that Barbie designer the best. He's a cutie and professional and his dress was completely charming. I'm glad they ditched Stacey, her dress looked like something I could come up with, please. I also like the snowboarder girl and the little blonde. If anyone has any idea about wtf those ads were about and someone getting asked to leave, I'm all frickin' ears. Thanks

It was a [censored] commercial that implied it would be in the first show - they showed it again at the end of the first show without the bait line. It pissed me off too especially considering the commercial that gave the bottom three away.

My first impression of the show was "wow, the apartments are so much better decorated than last year. They rock! Then that challenge. I can't believe they trashed their rooms and pretty much used bedding and stuff they didn't need. Take the sheets and leave the beds people! LOL!
Good thing Stacy went home....she doesn't have to worry about having to learn how to use a sewing machine now! I knew they would keep the "bad boy!" Jeffery loose the hoodie dude. And he isn't like Santino. Santino would have GLUED the feathers onto the garment.
Bonnie designed Serena Williams' famous "cat suit?" Ewwww. I wouldn't admit to that. That design did not impress the tennis world.
Keith really did design an elegant dress. He is a tad arrogant though. But I adored the dress by Robert. It was so "Audrey Hephburn."
Best use of materials: Michael for using coffee filters!!!! And it looked so pretty, too!
