How well did our boys whip up this trifecta into shape?

I luv the Fab Five but let's face it: there's not much anyone could do for a lazy, boy-man like Pete Sr. Whitey was cool and didn't need any help and Pete Jr. needs more than a shave and a haircut to look better--how'bout an exercise program to lose that gut, he kept sucking in?

Wow, what a difference in Thom's demeanor from the Miles G. episode to this week's episode! The old Thom is back.....thank Ghod! The guys looked like they were having a blast with this family. My late husband was from a New York Italian family and this brought back so many wonderful memories. Especially the lasagna! I can't remember the exact words, but I loved it when either Ted or Carson paraphrased the famous quote from The Godfather, "leave the gun, take the cannoli". Thom's decorating talent was in top form once again. Cin cin, my love!

Bravo Bravoaholic! But even an exercise program couldn't help Petey Jr's FAT face...

Yeah, you're right tomasulo - it really looked like the guys enjoyed this one - maybe it was because Petey Jr was giving them all hum jobs between takes...

So...was I the only one who couldn't stand these 3 guys? Three gorwn men who don't even know the very basics of taking care of themselves? And Pete Sr. really came off as a chauvanist who thought he was so charming. (You honestly expect every woman you date to act like your mom and clean up after you? Please.) Ugh.

Good point, MidniteBlue. It was like taking a step back to a much less enlightened time. I can't imagine the attraction but perhaps there are some other qualities that we just didn't see....um......kind to stray cats?........remarkable sense of humor?........enormous line of credit on his AM EX card?.......okay, I'm out of ideas. (You can't see me but I'm forming the letter "L" with my hand and holding it in front of my forehead )

That certainly wasn't what I intended to imply.....not even close. I know you're probably just joking (I hope) but that kind of remark is a little crude IMO and even smacks a bit of the gay/promiscuous/stereotype remark that I don't usually see on this message board. And it certainly doesn't reflect the characters of the Fab 5. But I suppose it's a free country....sort of. Peace.

I really liked this episode for being fun and more like the slobby-straight-guys I got hooked on, but I have to agree about the chauvinistic attitudes. Well, mainly with Peter Sr - the grandfather did appear to be willing to make an effort to take care of himself. He's also from the generation where it was normal for women to do all the work. But Peter Sr... aacckkkk!!!! There may be a reason why he apparently can't keep a girlfriend. Like, they won't give him unconditional love, perhaps??? While they are doing all the cooking and cleaning. Yikes.
And who sleeps on the couch to keep from messing up the bed? Like, how is a messy bed in that apartment going to make things worse??
My husband and I were very amused, though, because I have to admit we're horrible housekeepers, and neither of us irons unless it's a total emergeny (that's what the anti-wrinkle spray and driers with damp towels are for) and we kept saying, "oh, no!!! It's US!!!!" Except we can't convince somebody else to do all our cleaning and ironing and housekeeping for us.
I'm not even going to comment on that....cutout in the livingroom.

raindog: Housecleaning isn't one of my strengths either. In fact, I always joke that I need to find a wife.
And the Bush cut out?!?!?......Don't you mean "throw out"? Yuck !

I loved that middle Rotondo bitching about women getting their "thing" and being all squeamish and Kyan was just like "their period, yeah." Seriously, if you want to find out if a guy is gay or straight, just mention the word period.

I had forgotten about that! Didn't know that was one of the ways you could tell! lol
Kyan seems to make references like that a lot....
In the England episode, remember when he found that jar of cream on the nightstand? And I'm not sure but in one of the older eps, didn't he throw a damp (sanitary)napkin up on the wall to see if it would stick?
