Peeler needs to be fired that mans an ass. For him to get a second chance and still be a [expletive deleted] is just horrible. I'm sure if he is still around he won't be much longer once Jackie watches the show.

As for Mimi I think her childish ways and biting is cute for some reason. I don't know why but I do like her she is amusing.

Erika is uber hawt I could stare at her all day.

Um is it me or was there ALOT of excessive touching between Jackie and her new client? I loved how the camerman zoomed in for every shot.

Has anyone seen the clip of Jackies date? I can't wait for that episode! It looks like Jackie has a thing for young latinas. Haha is ' I am going to the ladies room" secret lesbian code or something? I could have sworn I heard a moan when they were in the bathroom.
ambivalentsins
am i the only disgusted by that little man in black face at the entrance of jackie's home? he's a little statue wearing a servants uniform.

and i thought she was this liberal woman. the truth comes out!
tracy727
ok this episode was boring and uneventful compared to last week's . i didn't find anythig appealing about this episode.

1)it was stupid for jackie to let jesse watch her house. and why did jesse just leave without cleaning up or attempting to make the house look better .
2)please stop with all the boxing - no one is doing it correctly and it looks stupid. but Tess did look better boxing than Jesse. he looks really stupid boxing and so does jody watley. Jackie doesn't even look good boxing. so please stop working the mitts.
3) for some reason jackie wasn't as hot in this episode . not sure if it was her makeup but i didn;t find her as visually appealing
4) the socialite rich woman is ugly
5) mimi is not cute and sooo inmature and its getting old to me so how does jackie stand it unless she is a total misfit herself.
Hmm1234
Uh would it make you feel better if the statue was a white person?
tracy727
i find the statue a little weird too. my question is why would anyone be attracted to that statue enough to buy it or accept it as a gift ?? that is what i find interesting- and just because a person is seen as liberal in one area of their life doesn;t mean they don;t have hang ups, insensitivities or prejudices in other areas.

I actually liked this episode. Well I mean I was yelling at the tv more because of the antics of the staff in house and in spa, so I guess that means it stirred me up.

1. Totally agree. What kind of human doesn't even clean a damn house that you stayed at....and messed up? Good drama though.

2. LOL...that makes me laugh as well. I just accepted that it's "cario kickboxing" not kickboxing or boxing. Good thing they don't punch bags (those stand up bags are nothing) cause they would all have some serious injuries.

3. The hair I think...something

4. I thought she was very attractive...I liked her sarcasm, I think that added to it.

5. Agreed. Jackie HAS TO have some issues to stay with that lump of something called mimi.

I'll add some things. Did anyone else think the dog poop was fake? Looked like store bought gag stuff to me.

I also wonder what jackie told tess about the wieght gain. Isn't is much more likely water? I'm not sure muscle mass can grow that quickly in a week....even on the most out of shape person. My guess Tess's body is going thru the shock of exercise.....she was throwing up.....eating differently....the body holding onto water makes much more sense.

True...jackie doesn't need to go by the scale, but.....I sort of felt she was BSing tess. Should have just said it was water......it's perfectly normal......and it will come off.
ThatGirl9
shady shady shady..'J' is a player!!!! Seeing other people behind mimi's back..so f--ked up.
everyone talks [censored]t about mimi but "j" causes the drama..
not telling mimi where she is or where she is going till the last min. hardly ever calling her..and being set up on a blind date..WHOA so wrong! mimi I like you.
you are sweet.
be careful 'j' is running wild now.
i wonder if they are still together now???
tracy727
yeah the dog poop did look perfectly symmetrical to me too. and no mention of jackie's eggs - when are they coming out. I could not believe mimi tore up that pic and stepped on it. she is a such an actress. no one can be that stupidly jealous . she is trying to make jackie think she cares and has actual feelings so she acts overly jealous. psychology 101.
sugarplum35
Finally a thread for 104!! The things that got to me yesterday were
1. Why did Mimi have a need to throw all her things on the floor and mess up the picture?
2. Jackie, keeps claiming to be in love but I think with a little "push" she may cheat and why not bring Mimi along? Mimi may be a pain but she may have a point or two....
3.Why did one of the trainers put a ball in his pants and claim to be Jackie? what's that suppose to mean???
4. Some of the things the "trainer in charge" (can't remember names) made sense.... dogs need to be at home
5.What was that about the guys what want to start their on business?

Still a great show though
ohiofarmgirl
I didn't get to see the show, but the trailers for it gave enough information to figure out what was going on. I definitely agree with not having an employee watch my home while I was gone. I have a lot of responsibilities in my job, but watching my employer's house is not in my job description. AND...doesn't Jackie have dogs? There are people she could (should have) hired to come stay with her pets while she is away. These companies are liscensed, bonded, and insured, and...professional. I have a small zoo of my own that keeps me from travelling freely. With 5 Dogs, 4 Cats, and 2 Bunnies, I don't go anywhere unless I have a professional sitter here for them. It's expensive, but I know the sitter and the company will respect and care for my babies as well as I do, and respect my personal property. I'm sure Jackie is in a much higher tax bracket that I am, so the cost of caring for two small dogs is definitely affordable for her. I guess I can't understand how she could possibly put her dogs into a dangerous situation. The ads showed a wild party...yeah, real good idea when there are two little souls wandering around, probably scared out of their wits with all the commotion.
Hmm1234
The thing I don't get is why Mimi didnt house sit. I know Jackie said she was busy but she couldnt take 5 minutes in her day to check on things? Maybe she did and it was edited out who knows.
curiouswatcher
I agree, Jackie may have a history of cheating. Sure seems she was ready to do so with the socialite.

Love the show, and the drama:-)
curiouswatcher
They are still together, Mimi actually posted under the episodes thread (she claimed to Mimi)...very interesting post - referenced her website- said she's a trainer by day and artist by night.
Alisa007
When the cat's away the mice will play? The trainers acted like children and were totally disrespectful to Erika. So Erika doesn't sign their paychecks, but Jackie does and she put Erika in charge while she was away. Erika is loyal to Jackie and will tell her what went on. Who would want to be trained by these undisciplined oafs after watching this episode?

1. mimi being mimi

2. The show did bring another dynamic to the relationship...we heard about jackie's jealousy and see that she does flirt heavily. Hmm..I wonder what she would do with a bit more wine in her

3. I think that was a pear from a bowl of fruit on the bar behind them....and it looked like he was going to put it back in! eeewwwwwww. Guess they think jackie's got balls.

4. Yeah she wasn't that bad. At least what we saw. The place was a pigstye, the trainers were acting terribly in front of clients, the one guy wore jeans (which I guess is against their dress code). I hope some of it was drama...cause if it's not...I'm sure jackie is boiling watching it.

5. I guess brian wants to start his own gym so he can have his cardio boxing classes. Good for him....he doesn't seem to want to conform to what jackie wants so........

I can't wait till next week....
sugarplum35
Good point.......I just don't see a need for a woman that you can't go to the doctor with, wouldn't house sit or at least stop by to see how things are going, rude to your mother etc

I bet she is really good at "the other thing" though.....
jackieOH
et's face it. it's been proven that reality shows are not REALLY REAL. Some or if not all acts and scripts are dramatically improvised for the sake of creating more DRAMA to entice viewers to get hooked to the show. It's like a soap opera with REAL people, not MODELS. also, i'm sure there are also numerous cuts and retakes in reality shows in order to depict the right emotion and drama. a case in point: the fake dog poo and the childish ways of mimi - throwing clothes on the floor and stepping on the client's picture. it makes us reaffirm our hatred for mimi and love jackie more.
sugarplum35
Thanks Kia for clearing things up for me....I think I may be getting addicted.

First time posting here...A few thoughts on the show so far...

I admire Jackie a lot in the sense that she has obviously worked her ass off to have such a great body, and she seems so determined to build up her business and make a success of herself. Far from making her out to be a superhero, though, the show is making her look as flawed and vulnerable as the next person.

1. I totally agree with the comment someone made about the black servant figure by the front door in her house. I noticed this for the first time on this episode and found it very shocking. I can't believe that someone like Jackie would have something so offensive in her house. If she can't see why that is so wrong, then she really has a problem!

2. I was not impressed at all with the way she dropped Paul McCartney's name as a client of hers when talking to the woman she was training. It seemed like she was desperate to impress this woman, which in itself is a little pathetic.

3. That woman she was training was completely uninteresting. She seemed like a bored housewife who just wanted someone new to play with for a couple of days (and I'm sure being on tv wasn't lacking in its appeal either). In my opinion there isn't anything enviable about having to cater to those types of people all the time, even if you do get to fly around in their private jets.

4. So far I don't think Jackie's gym is as fabulous as it's cracked up to be. It seems small and the quality of the equipment doesn't seem any better than what I have at my gym. The outside space is nice, but seems very impractical for doing serious classes or serious training. Honestly I don't blame Brian for wanting to get his own space. For people who are serious about their gym, and who are not just bored rich celebs and LA socialites who are only interested in dropping a name, there is honestly nothing too impressive about her space.

5. As far as Jackie's relationship with Mimi goes, it really seems like Jackie is the one who has the most issues. On the one hand she says that she has years, not months, with Mimi, and is even contemplating raising children with her. Then on the other hand she says she doesn't know if they're suited for each other and wants to explore seeing other people. It really sounds like Jackie doesn't know what she wants and I'm sure that is really frustrating for Mimi.

6. Regarding Mimi--I really have a lot of empathy for this woman. She is being treated very unfairly and the comments that have been made about her on this board are horrendous. I was in a difficult relationship with someone for 7 years, and I know for a fact that it takes 2 people to create that situation, but the show is consistently portraying Mimi as the villain. I doubt however that Jackie is the victim in all of this. I'm sure she has participated in and contributes to their problems. Everything on the show is so out of context. It is all packaged and edited to present a story that may have no bearing on reality whatsoever. When Jackie is giving her interviews in front of the camera, she is always wearing different outfits so obviously those segments were all filmed at different times. However, it's all packaged together to make it look like it all fits together. We have no idea if we are even seeing events in sequence or over what space of time these things happened.

I love the show and find it very entertaining, but it's just that, entertainment. The problem is that these are real people with real feelings, and some people have been and are being really hurt by this, and I get the sense that everyone (including Jackie) has been used and manipulated in the course of making this wonderful show for all of us.

I liked last nights show for the most part. It is very inspiring to watch some parts of it, like Tess. I really hope the trainers have a little more common sense then they actually showed on this episode. Showing up at your boss' house to party while she's gone...hello??? you don't do that! Bringing your dog to the work place because your boss has...hello???? common sense you don't do that! I think the trainers are little kids!
I watch cause...Jackie is hot, her dogs are adorable, she has great tips on working out and her clients are inspiring!

Regarding Jesse leaving Jackie's house in a complete mess, does anyone think that this was done purposefully by the producers to create more drama? Just a thought!
Tazzy
The socialite (Sarah Siegel-Magness) is the creator of So Low fashions, jeans and undies and everything else that goes so low...she pitched a tv show idea to Bravo that would center around her professional life, and Bravo put her on Workout to give her some face time. http://www.rockymountainnews.com/drmn/news...4868067,00.html
Anyway yes, coupled with her hubby's worth (about 875 million) she is just what Jackie said, "Filthy rich." The restaurant she and Jackie went to was Las Casuelas Terraza, and it's on the 'main drag' in Palm Springs called Palm Canyon. Very good food and atmosphere.
Did anyone notice how Jackie touched Sarah's stomach when they went back into the house after their night out? Jackie was very attracted to her, you could just tell, but I wonder if this socialite was just playin' with her...

I don't know why Jackie wants to be a mother. She already has Mimi! And YES Mimi, I read your entry on the Episodes link and I do believe it's you. Mostly due to your written English.

The person who gets fired next week could be Jesse (not likely, he's so new), Brian (an obvious choice, what a dumbo he is), or Doug, who intruded on Jesse in the first place.

WATCH WHAT HAPPENS!
Hmm1234
Oh one thing that pissed me off about the episode is when Jackie said she thinks her homosexuality is because of genetics and social upbringing. WTF? Isnt she the same person who said you cannot become gay you are born gay. If your gayness is because of social upbringing (BS!) then that means you became gay. I think people are born gay and its not because of genetics or social upbringing (what a retarded comment).

Sometimes she says the most dumbest crap like in episode 3 when she was talking about having a genetic child and if she didnt freeze her eggs she would never be a mother. Well screw all the needy kids in the world! If you wan't kid so badly there are millions out there that need a home. Why is it a MUST for you to have a genetic child?
tracy727
my thoughts as a gay woman - some people do chose the gay lifestyle. for ex. if jackie had slept with the socialite and then started a relationship does that make the socialite someone who was born gay ? i don;t think so. well that type of scenerio happens all the time in real life. whats the big deal about being born or choosing. is choosing such a terrible thing ? being born gay means someone has a genetic disposition towards being gay - well there are other genetic dispositions that people are inclined to have as well some negative and some positive. some people are said to be born with a predisposition towards violence do they get alot of sympathy for the way they were born. if it were proven that some people are born gay anti-gay people would just call it a defect not something meant by nature but a defect . my point is i do believe some people are born with an inclination towards being gay but i do believe there are just as many people in gay relationships that chose their partner based on what makes them happy and fulfilled . whats wrong with that ?

and some women gay and straight want the oportunity to have biological children - i don;t get your point with that.
Tazzy
Who knows. Like I said, she has Mimi, and perhaps Mimi would make a mother out of anyone.

Not being gay myself but having lots of gay friends, I don't find what Jackie said to be strange. I do think her mother has some issues perhaps with sexuality in general, and I found it interesting when she responded Yes to Sarah's question of 'is your mother a lesbian?' She said yes or a closet one I think. Genetics is pretty close to saying 'born that way' and 'passed down'. I have straight friends who've had major issues with sex because of what their mother or father did in their own lives before the child came along, it never seems to fail. Just like a medical history, some things follow you down the line, esp. if violence was involved.

Off the soapbox for now!
ohiofarmgirl
I think Mimi is exactly the way Jackie continually describes her in her life, a "Girlfriend", not "Significant Other" or "Life Partner".
Mimi may be good between the sheets, but everything else seems to fall short of reliable and/or dependable and/or respectful. Think about it. Would you let her watch your pets? Would you trust her in your house?
Fact being that Jackie always refers to her as "girlfriend" implies that there is a lack of committment to Mimi on Jackie's part (from what I've seen...good reasons too)
I'd be willing to bet that Jackie may have another or other "girlfriends" Why not? She's young, attractive, successful. Why in heck would she want to settle down with a not-so-bright, self-indulged child. Jackie said she'd kill Mimi if she caught her cheating with another woman. I'd bet big time that both are good at not getting caught. There has to be at least an ounce of truth to Mimi's jealousy.
As for Jackie chosing Jesse and not Mimi to look over house and dogs...the lesser of 2 evils, i guess. Hiring a professional would have been safer.
Lana3
This show is really starting to turn me off. We finally have a show on TV about a real lesbian couple, and they're completely dysfuntional, lol. I know, I know, it's a reality show, and nobody would watch unless it had drama. But as a lesbian myself, I was hoping for that aspect of the show to be portrayed more "normal." Society already thinks gay people are just into sex, and that they could never function normally like a heterosexual couple. For those of you who aren't gay, please don't think Mimi's biting is a "gay thing." It's a "Mimi" thing. Their relationship doesn't reflect all gay couples.

I'm also beginning to think Jackie is full of it. She talks about being a feminist, and acts offended at Rebecca's constant sexuality in the workplace. She was offended when Peeler invited her to a strip club. She doesn't like that women are objectified and sexualized. How many times have we heard her say, "That's just not appropriate." She has a golden opportunity to put her money where her mouth is. To show the world that lesbian women can be strong, but respectful, and can function just like any other couple. And YET, she allows her girlfriend to bite her over and over like a 2 year old, on TV!!! And all she can say is, "Ouch, stop, that hurts." Wow, that's so disappointing. If she worked on her self-esteem as hard as she does her body, she could be a lesbian for all to admire.

I don't know about the rest of the drama here, but I DO know that I have kicked up the intensity of my workouts several notches since I have been watching Workout.

The show and it's characters are inspiring to me on so many different levels.

As a Self-Made Millionaire, I can totally relate to what Jackie is going through with the demands of being a woman, building an empire, while managing all of life's responsibilities. I have a reality show in the works about my company's start up and it is challenging to pursue things most people never dare to attempt. The thing I love about Jackie is that she is having FUN.

I am not going to rip on Mimi or analyze their relationship. While it's fascinating and often perplexing, there is obviously something special between them if they were together 4 years. I just hope they're fulfilled and enjoying their journey separately or together.

Intense, driven people are often attracted to intense, driven people.

As an intense, passionate, driven person I know I am drawn to the same type of energy in friends and lovers. It's always exciting, that's for sure. Entrepreneurs are a unique breed and are usually attracted to other unique, interesting, creative people.

I'm focusing on the positives and right now that's cranking up the intensity at the gym.

Live Your Dreams,

Jill Koenig

uh - your point about the girlfriend thing. yes they have been together awhile . but i know many straight couples that have been together awhile that still call eachother boyfriend and girlfriend. because they are lesbians that have been together awhile you have certain expectations of what they should be calling eachother ? what are your expectations for long term straight couples - what should they call eachother ? I don't know any unmarried straight couple that refers to eachother as partner or significant other. my best friend has been with her boyfriend for 8 years and she refers to him as her boyfriend.

That's what makes America So awesome...Diversity. I also have friends who are straight and not married and in a long-term relationship, and deeply commited to each other. The folks I hang with don't call each other "boyfriend and girlfriend" because they feel it is a sophomoric description of something they take seriously.
Since I've been in a lesbian relationship with my partner for the past seven years, I feel proud and honored to refer to her as a sincere part (half) of me and the life we share. In the group of folks I hang out with, it's a matter of respect for my partner. She's not my girlfriend - we're way past that.
ohiofarmgirl
Cool point, but wouldn't that get a tad mundane after a short while? Where's the spice? What about the old addage "opposites attract"?
No, I'm not picking on ya, just disagreeing a bit.
I may not have millions, but I have more than most who do.
erthmaidn
Here is my theory on the Jacki/Mimi combination. I think that a person can be as jealous as Mimi is. I have seen it first hand. Someone that jealous has a tendency to make people pull away. Hence, Jackie exploring her options. I think that chances are that they aren't together anymore, and if they still are I question its longevity. In episode 3 Jackie told her mom that she wanted to get married and have children with a woman, she didn't say with Mimi. I think that in itself says alot. If you have been with someone for that length of time and can't say that you want to marry them, there is an issue. As far as Jackie contributing to the drama, sure, it happens all the time. But if I was Jackie I wouldn't put up with Mimi's crap. I have been in relationships like that before. Where you spend most of your time justifying how you spent your time to prove that you haven't been messing around. Maybe Jackie has a tendency of cheating, or maybe Mimi was cheated on, or she might even be insecure knowing the results of her actions.

I personally would like to see Jackie with someone that makes her happy, gives her the attention and the freedom she needs.

I love this show but it is so blatantly scripted to create the most drama. I'm wondering now how much of it is actually real. I know almost all "reality shows" are edited to create the most entertainment and a lot is taken out of context, etc., but this show is really bad about that. It's SO OBVIOUS Jesse was told to leave and not clean the place. Most anyone who was watching thier BOSSES house and things got messed up would clean it up. My g/f and I just looked at each other and was like, are you kidding me? We are really supposed to believe Jesse would leave without cleaning the place. I could go on and on about other things but I'll leave it at that. I'm going to continue watching but not really believe anyting that happens is the truth, it's just a show NOT REALITY.
Lizalv
Mimi is crazy. Jackie needs to open her eyes. She is mean, overly jealous and will just get worse. I've been around women like that and you will just spend the rest of your life arguing. She will not change and Jackie needs to move on, like she is doing now. Hooray for Jackie!

Well its all based on the two people involved maybe if i called my girlfriend of 7 years girlfriend maybe it can mean all that your significant other title means. to each its own. sometimes it seems to me that people do things for appearances or to make a statement to other people. I'm not into that. Alot of so called marriages and partnerships are BS so if two people have something real and fulfilling whether they are gay or straight, live together or not , or call eachother significant other or not it doesn;t matter because one is not a condition of the other.
Hmm1234
Ladies and Gents I just found the REAL sky sport and spa website and have come to the conclusion that this show is 100% fake. I knew reality shows were perhaps tweaked a little with editing but the only thing that is real is the fact that there is a Sky Sport and Spa. Jackie Warner is infact a co-owner of Sky Sport and Spa BUT she is also an actress because on her SP&S bio which is on the real website it says "She then began working in the entertainment industry, gaining experience in modeling, acting, production, and script coordination, eventually writing and selling her own script.". None of the trainers are on the REAL sky sport and spa website. So yup its all acting and probably the reason why the show only has 6 episodes is because the REAL owner Jillian Micheals got pissed off when she saw the show. I would too I mean the fake trainers make the place look like crap.

All I have to say is kudos to Bravo this is the best fake reality show ever! MTV should take notes. And if it was Jackie who created the show which she probably did good job! But couldnt she have written a script with a better lesbian relationship? And whats with all the little damn pecks ? I mean if your going to act like you are with someone then act!
ohiofarmgirl
Like I said "Diversity is a good thing". From my life and those in it as well as those who are around it (friends), it's an issue of respect, not gay or straight, simply respect. I agree that most folks get themselves into "BS" relationships. I bet that would happen a whole lot less if respect were as important a part of the relationship as love.
erthmaidn
I don't think that it is entirely fake. I think that there are some aspects that are created to increase ratings. But on the Sky Sport website it has ALL the trainers from the show, and how much it costs for them and the other trainers.

As for Mimi and Jackie. I am sure there is a lot of underlying issues and doubt that their relationship is fake. Granted we have no idea what their relationship is really like. But it appears to me that they BOTH need to be happy either with eachother or someone else. I think also that most of us condemning Mimi's behavior also in some way wish that if it does end than maybe we have a shot. Have to remember, this is tv, not real life.
LabDude77
I totally agree with Nikki. When Jesse was looking for the puppies, you could see some of the rooms were cleaned up, but not the bedroom and the pool where Brian made out with some girl and broke the vase.

I don't think Jesse would be fired. They usually showed something dramatic in the preview. He's so cute. I don't want him to be fired. ^^

Wow! Hey, at least it got a bunch of folks out here talking about some serious issues amidst the crap!!! Way cool. They fooled me too, but at least I got to see some insights on issues from both sides of the sexuality fence. Kudos to Bravo. Well done! This is probably the best way to get folks to read so many opinions of relevent issues! I have to admit I'm laughing at myself for getting sucked into the boards, but you have to admit, they are so much more entertaining than the show.

Wait a sec...Yes Jackie was being a lil too flirty when she is still dating Mimi...but I also think that comes about cuz the relationship w/ Mimi is really a bad relationship and I think when you are in a bad relationship and someone else is showing you a side that is lacking in your own relationship it is kinda nice and maybe Jackie was indulging in that a lil too much....and about her going on a date....I think she broke up w/ Mimi before that....I haven't looked at the sneak peek yet if that shows more than commercial.
And not that I can really judge Mimi cuz I don't know her..but from what the show shows..that girl has to go!!! I think she needs to work on herself b4 going into another relationship! I have been on both sides of the tracks and to me it seems lesbians are SO much more jealous than a straight person! I don't get it!

Yea I know its just TV but I figured reality show= lots of editing with a few fed lines here and there and real people. But this is pure acting with actors. And as for the website to see it you have to type "jackie warner jillian michaels" and then click cached.

type in google (forgot to add that)

I don't think she broke up with Mimi because the sneak peek shows her on the date saying her grrl, refering to Mimi.

Theory of Lesbian Relationships:
There is a very small lesbian community (6 degrees of seperation), I think this causes lesbians to worry that their partners will return to their exes, find someone better, afraid that another lesbian will make passes at you current love. Because it is common for lesbian nesting, this creates a sense that maybe you moved to fast, the the bond that was so quick to form, isn't fully formed. There are a lot of fears of lesbian relationships. Not to mention most of us never grew up with a role model to show us how same-sex relationships work. Every relationship is learning. In some ways different rules apply to us vs. the hetero populations.

I really am hoping that Peeler gets fired next week. You can almost overlook his tendency to be a complete ass because you couldn't expect much more from him. I think it's ridiculous that he didn't take responsibility for breaking the vase/ashtray on the pooldeck and then seemed to wonder why Jesse was asking everyone to leave. Also, it is totally unprofessional and most likely a breach of his contract to ask about opening his own gym and encouraging Doug to go with him. Dumbass.

I, too, can't believe that Jesse didn't even make an attempt to clean the house up before he left for the day. Any rational person would have started cleaning up right away - especially the broken ceramic.

Overall, though, another great episode. I LOVE this show!

Actually Jackie contradicted herself. Didn't she tell her mother in the last episode that she believed that her homosexuality was due to genetics? Then she added this nurture crap to her explanation this week. Personally, I think the nuture theory is a load of horse crap. What about genetics? Maybe, but we're yet to isolate a "gay" gene or genes.

And don't expect to see such a gene uncovered in the future. If scientists did uncover such a gene or genes, society would have to completely rethink the way it approaches issues affecting gays. It's not like the government considers it top priority enough to fund such research (LOL!). What an understatement. If such a breakthrough came to be, we would be forced to change our policies & laws affecting gays. Yes, that would mean striking down laws that prohibited gay marriage.

Actually I believe the explanation regarding the "etiology of homosexuality" most logically may be found in embryonic development. We all start out as female in the wound. It takes a little longer for the male to develop a penis and testicles during embryonic development. In the male, the clitoris develops into a penis and the labia into the scrotum. The sex hormones, estrogen & testosterone, are major players here. We all have both hormones. An inbalance of the sex hormones in the wound may very well be key here. What about the role of the sex hormones in the development of the brain? I believe this is the most promising area of study in regard to etiology. Not only is hormonal balance significant during embryonic development but throughout life.

You'd be surprised to discover how many people don't realize that we all have both sex hormones. I spoke with a guy just the other day that refused to believe that men have estrogen. He was an elderly guy. I wanted to tell him to think about the reason that he developed flabby boobs as well as general "flabbiness" after he reached 50, but of course, I didn't want to be rude (LOL). Conversely, why do many women grow a mustache after menopause without the benefit of exogenous estrogen? Hormonal balance. It's key throughout life as well as in embryonic development. I only lend credibility to the developmental (hormonal) or genetic theories. Both provide the basis of the nature argument. IMO, the nuture argument is invalid. Further the nurture argument is often used to cast "blame" on parents. This is nothing short of cruel and, IMO, barbaric. Regardless, no one chooses to be homosexual. You just are! BTW, the nuture argument makes no claim that homosexuality is a choice either. This is a huge misconception. It argues that your nurturing or your environment helps determine your sexuality. You still have no choice in the matter of your sexuality.
