I find myself wanting to solve all of Mimi and Jackie's relationship woes too. HAHA as if. I think that we all identify with parts of the drama. Whether the situations are real or not is our own interpretation. The goofy storyline is what makes it fun. It gets people talking-even if it does come across a bit Dr. Phil-ish.

A lot of times the woman you are in a long term relationship with does become your best friend but if you've had a best friend long before you've met your significant other then you're not going to just dump them. If you've had a long history and bond with your best friend then that will still remain along with your current relationship. So I guess to answer your question it's like having two best friends I guess, one platonic, and one that's more.

I just wanted to say I have found this show inspirational. I am a stay at home mother of 4 girls. I just had my last daughter 6 months ago. My husband works 12 hour days so I do not get out much. I am over weight and needing to lose about 50 pounds to get down to my pre four girls weight.
I absolutely love Jackie and thinks she is very inspirational to her clients, look at her for godsakes, she is not snickering in the background about them. She makes you comfortable and tells her clients they are progressing and makes them feel good about themselves. I have gotten up every night since I first saw the show 3 weeks ago and worked out, I even made my husband go out and buy me weights.
I don't care who Jackie dates, it is her buisness, all that matters to me is her work ethic and trainers. Who cares who she dates. We have all had a bad relationship, and sometimes it takes other longer to let go. That is stupid to say a physical trainers show sucks because you don't like who she is dating. Would you like her to kick her butt or something on screen? Would you like her better then for just giving up?
The way she is with people is inspirational. When she was saying if she sticks with this lifestyle she will be the beautifull woman she has dreamed of becoming, that struck a cord. I will continue to watch this show. Thanks to it I am tired of wallowing in being stuck and do something to make me feel good for me. So thank you Jackie!

Easier said then done. Love is a strange thing, and even stranger is the opinions and perspectives of those looking from the outside in. Women are emotional creators by nature in "my" opinion. And the connections, bonds and relationships we develop are founded solely on that emotional kindling...........anything and everything else is just an added bouns.
Granted, it doesn't appear as if the relationship is mixing well at all.............but people, we're talking about a history of four years here. I can't imagine what the initial attraction was, but obviously it was enough to last for four years.
Jackie, I would never assume to be so self righteous as to tell you what you "need" to do, but if I may "suggest" you take stock. If you can't manage to get your partner to understand that a relationship is about comlimenting and empowering each others life, then the only thing it can accomplish is complicating it........Gail

Well, think about it this way. Straight women are not attracted to every man they see. And straight men are not attracted to every woman they see. It's the same with gay people. Lesbians can have lots of female friends, and not have an attraction to any of them. Friends are friends.
I think we can be best friends with our partners, but also call our closest friend outside of the relationship a "best friend" too.

Let's just stop for a moment....I think we ALL can see how transparent the 'reality' is here. Truth be told, this show is SCRIPTED PEOPLE!! C'mon!
It's all about Jackie and the 'drama' in her life. What they DON'T focus on is the fact that Mimi is a talented artist...who has accomplished QUITE a lot in her 26 years. Not only does she create some amazing paintings, she's also a photographer..she's had many shows featuring her work (Brazilian Consulate being one) and is a social activist.
What you are seeing is TRULY ONE SIDED...and I think she's gotten a really really RAW deal.

People throw the word hot around, but my definition of what makes a person hot includes a lot more than beauty or someone's face. I think Jackie has a gorgeous body, great hair, and a pretty face. But for me, what makes her hot is her confidence and the way she carries herself. A person's maturity and behavior also add to the overall "hot" package. The way Jackie listens to people thoughtfully. And how she doesn't yell at Mimi, she tries to reason with her. The way she keeps a cool head. To me, that's sexy. Throw all that in with the body, and she is most definitely hot!
From the previews of 106, it looks like Mimi is going to throw a wine glass across the table in a club. That is NOT hot, and would be a deal breaker if she was my gf. I can't stand to be out with a date who makes a scene in public. Whatever I thought was attractive about them before dies right there.

I totally agree that Mimi's talents have been left out, and all we've seen is her worst features. But even if they had given Mimi's life equal time, I'd still think she was immature.
Nobody forced Mimi to be on this show. It might be somewhat scripted, but nobody forced her to pretend she likes to bite. Or forced her to pretend to be jealous. I can't imagine the producers saying, "Okay, we want you to bite Jackie a lot on the show." Why would anyone allow themselves to be that misprepresented if that's not how they were in real life? I'm sure she's very talented, but I'm also sure that we've seen the real Mimi.

I agree she is getting less and less hot as the episodes roll on. sort of like real life when you meet someone and they are sooo hot then you get to know them and they become not so hot. when jackie is helping her clients and being the boss from hell i think she is hot when she is dealing with mimi and going after unattractive young girls I see her as someone with major issues and thats never hot.

As a gay woman, I'd really like to like this show. And in the beginning, I did. I'll save my soapboxing, but uh, is there a college degree between the two of them? The conversations they have sound like two high schoolers, "Are you mad? Don't be mad. Are you mad?" And the age difference--what could a 24 (?) y/o and a 38 y/o possibly have in common outside the bedroom? Jackie is a doormat, the girlfriend is dim, and there is nothing interesting about this show whatsoever. So why do I continue to watch it?

they are 26 and 37. college degree has nothing to do with it. many people without college degrees are capable of having a decent mature conversation. I have a masters from harvard but you can through all that out the window when you are talking about feelings and emotions. what i will say is that this relationship reminds me of my high school years.

I also was psyched to see the first episodes, thought it might get me gym-motivated but as the episodes came and went, the situations just seem so contrived, like when Angela was left in charge and they all went bonkers and the one trainer brought her DOG to the gym. Mimi and Jackie are not the only ones no synapses firing up there in the old brain pan. Now it's just boring.

I have said this already but I will say it again. Mimi probably did not know what the end result would be. Even if she had some clue Jackie probably persuaded her a bit. Sometimes people do crazy things for love.

And who cares if people react to the show? If you go to a soap opra board I bet people will be giving advice and what not just like here, They are referring to the characters of the show not the real people.

Love the show!! Hey eveyone seems so out to get MiMi. She is a little immature. Look at her age. Typical for a 26 year old in a mature relationship. I can't say anything for the bitting(I do that myself). I was a little upset at how Jackie was acting when going out with all those other girls. I think that MiMi will change after seeing how she was portrayed on the show.Can't wait to see what happens next. If it's been true love for 4 1/2 years then it may be something that could be fixed.

I do wakeboard, ride motorcross, and just like to do fun things. I am so not a health nut, dont watch what I eat, or anything to stay in shape other then enjoy life. so I know that it is possible that jackie does no crunches. I'd like to stand next to her and see who's abs pop more. 15 years ago i was a freak, a woman with definition like mine was a sideshow, i am really glad that women being well toned is now in fashion.

This is very true, the whole perspective is definitely one sided (Jackie's side), but is that any reason for Mimi to handle the situation in that manner(throwing tantrums and fits)? If she is so damn unhappy why doesn't she just pick up and leave, if she is this "Talented" artist why doesn't she find someone who will appreciate her and give her the attention she is looking for??? If there is anything I have learned is ARTISTS ARE NEEDY PEOPLE! Only the truly "Insane" can come up with amazing art.....no offense to any artists our there, but Mimi definitely has issues.

In pictures jackie's ab look rock solid because of the touch up work but when she was giving herself the injection and when she was training in palm springs with her tummy out she has average looking abs. I don't see anything amazing or out of the rhelm of normal about her abs. her tummy is flat and her body is relatively tight and toned but she doesn't have an unattainable "i have been working for 10 years to get this body" type of body. I know women who don;t work out religiously at all who have her kind of body. I run half marathons and weight train for the toned tight look but no bulk or too much definition. Jackie does have a nice body (though her butt needs a little more lift) but its a body that your average 37 year old can have with some dedication. I mean I'm sure there are people out there who know people who have just as good a body as jackie's correct ??

also I must say that mimi's behavior is not typical for a 26 year old. there are many 26 year olds that are married or have graduated from medical and law school. many 26 year olds supporting families and many 26 year olds that are not biting their partners or ripping up pictures. many 26 year olds that know how to communicate. i was 26 a few years back and i was not doing that type of behavior. i know what editing can do . but editors even if they are trying to create a character still need the right material to work with. and so far mimi has rambled on about her name change, has gotten on jackie's case about silly things, has bitten jackie several times, and has exhibited serious child like behavior . thats not up for discussion

When I'm in a relationship and either my partner or I go away on a trip I expect to talk to that person(via email, phone, text mess. telegram, etc.) at least once while they are gone. I also expect that my partner is not out flirting and discussing my personal business with a stranger they've known for about an hour on a "reality Show".
This show is completely contrived. Jackie in every episode talks about making her business a success yet EP 5. the focus was on Jessie and not PEELER WHO IS TRYING TO STEAL HER PRIZED TRAINERS AND CLIENTS (is PEELER not more important than jessie messing up her house???).
JACKIE BE A MATURE WOMAN AND STOP PLAYING YOUR MIND GAMES on MIMI INSECURITIES, SINCE YOU KNOW SHE IS AS YOU SAY IMMATURE (call her, stop fibbing about your clients- I may wear glasses but that woman from ep.4 was not old or fat-well unless the definition on fat has changed) & Finally can you wait more that 1 minute before you start dating (and why date the same young(er) women in their early 20's).
ITS CURIOS TO ME THAT FROM EP1-EP6? MIMI's confessional outfit is the same while everyone else including the trainers have diff. clothes on?

I started working out at Easter to change my lifestyle and get healthy again so I won't die an early death like my father did (massive heart attack).
When I saw the previews for this show I was excited. I knew there would be reality show drama, but I was looking forward to seeing workout techniques and getting ideas for my workouts. Plus I wanted to see some transformed lives through the trainers pushing people and getting them to believe in themselves.
Instead what we get is Bravo's continued quest to force the homosexual lifesyle on it's viewers.
This show has NOTHING to do with working out. It is all about celebrating the homosexual lifestyle.
I'm done with the tripe and hope it ends with one season.

yeah getting bitten and having a crazy girlfriend will surely lure alot of women into lesbianism. quite the celebration. what i found interesting is that you continued to watch the show. i think episode one clued everyone in on the fact that jackie was gay. correct ?? bravo has queer eye and gay weddings but i don;t know why people who are offended by these shows still watch and support and even post on the bravo website. when i take offense to something or someone i stay away.

Careful careful. Every single show on network TV features straight characters. And just about every feature film. So if anything, the straight lifestyle has been shoved down our throats and up our asses for GENERATIONS. The gay lifestyle is here to stay baby. Better get used to it.

I started working out at Easter to change my lifestyle and get healthy again so I won't die an early death like my father did (massive heart attack).
When I saw the previews for this show I was excited. I knew there would be reality show drama, but I was looking forward to seeing workout techniques and getting ideas for my workouts. Plus I wanted to see some transformed lives through the trainers pushing people and getting them to believe in themselves.
Instead what we get is Bravo's continued quest to force the homosexual lifesyle on it's viewers.
This show has NOTHING to do with working out. It is all about celebrating the homosexual lifestyle.

I concur with your suggested title "Jackie's Lesbian Adventures" might be a better fit.
Basically, it's just a show about this 'power lesbian' trying to build her business...okay? So? I recall in one of the earlier episodes (when her Mom was there I think) it shows Jackie walking into a building and her voice over saying "I've made a lot of decisions today." Like it was some monumentous deal. Okay??? So...?? Dont' we ALL MAKE DECISIONS EVERYDAY? The difference is we're not pimping out sponsors (a la Harley Davidson, the dealer that her BMW came from, Propel water, etc)
I think Bravo's script writers wanted to turn this more into a 'gay drama' than really about 'Working Out'.
WE GET IT BRAVO...THERE ARE (Attractive) LESBIAN BUSINESS OWNERS...and they're lives are probably about as drama-filled as most heterosexuals...the rub here is that they've edited the other 'characters' to be 'controversial' or have 'issues'. (Mimi, Peeler, Jesse, Zen, boohoo, boohoo)

Has anyone tried to schedule work out time with a trainer at Sky Sport and Spa? I send an email a couple weeks ago...got the $$, got the time, didn't get a response. Either it really is a crock of sh*t or they need to hire more office staff. I caught half of the show again last night and was thinking about what posters here wrote. It is odd that there are only a few people working out and it's odd that a lot of the trainers are the ones in the classes.
Also, did anyone else think it was weird when Jackie was talking about going out on a date with Raquel, she mentioned that Raquel had been to some of their parties (and she was exercising in the "boot camp" class)...then at dinner, she was explaining how she and her girlfriend were having a hard time like the chick didn't have a clue about her personal life. Hmmm...
Also, isn't Jackie the one who was running the boot camp class for brides (trying to squeeze into their dresses) a while back?
As far as the missing scenes (did Peeler get in trouble for trying to steal clients and breaking the vase?), maybe they edited them out for more manufactured drama?
I'm just glad that MeMe, oops I mean Mimi, is going to be going by her real name "Elena"...whatever. For being together four years, they don't seem very "natural"...they seem ackward and wooden.

I have to say as well, I agree. Although I don't think Bravo is in any way pushing ANY lifestyle on anyone, I do think that this show has nothing to do with working out...it has all to do with a dramatic lesbian relationship and dramatic side characters. I think showing a successful woman (gay or straight) owning a gym is a great idea, but the way they misconstrued the idea really stunk. Now its like a soap opera-who's flirting with who, who's breaking up with who, who's messing up what.

but don't we have enough of those shows? about life...about relationships? yeah, great that it shows a lesbian relationship, but in all honesty, im starting to not care about their relationship. its so tired and dramatic, im over it. i actually would like to see some more of Jackie's clients and see success stories and see Jackie having fun with other people. The relationship with Mimi...so over. And life, honey, its fake. No real life here.

This was my first time watching the show... and I LOVE IT!!! Im just sorry that I wasnt able to watch the previous shows. I must agree... 6 epsiodes... is that all? Jackie is totally hot and needs to definitely get rid of Mimi.

I think this show is Straight Garbage!!!!!
jacki gets on my nerve - I can't even feel sorry for her with the way Mimi treats her.
I think Bravo shouldn't cancel the series - they should go to a different personal Trainers gym - they should revolve....Cause I can't stand watching these bland, boring, dull people. Even jodi Watly didn't spice up things.

I agree. I was so excited when I saw they were doing a show featuring a lesbian. But her love life is so pathetic, that I want to see more of Tess. I can't wait to see how much weight she's lost. Yeah Tess! The biggest inspiration of the entire show.
