It was pretty funny to watch Ron talk about his matrial relations...Kyan and Jai really hung in there...trying to get Ron to open up...I don't know who was more frustrated Ron or Jai..I felt sorrry of the wife, thou she may have treated their relationship like a teacher to student Ron never helped much...I wish their marriage alots of luck. They certainly gave Thom a hard time about the stripes ...he did a excellent job-when doesn't he...the bed was a dream, loved the flowing drapes....

I just want to say thank you to the Ron B episode. For some odd reasons - FAB5's advise works so much better than a wife's complains. My husband and i have been married for about 2 1/2 years and the sex life was exactly like Ron B and the wife. After watching the episode last night, the husband made an effort to man-scape, washed the dishes, gave me a message and we had some action in the bedroom after almost two months of no action. Thank you!

This one just made me sad - Jodi seemed so unhappy to me. I'm hoping it's just the way she looks, though. I realized about halfway through that she looks a whole lot like Shirley Henderson, a Scottish actress nobody's ever heard of. Although Googling her, I see she was Moaning Myrtle in Harry Potter, and she was in the second Bridget Jones movie too. I know her from Hamish MacBeth and Wilber Wants to Kill Himself - but ANYWAY, go google her - they could be sisters. And she always looks kind of depressed.

I think I was a little taken aback by all the....ummmmmm - props, too. But hey, whatever works!

I loved the lavender Thom used, although I have to say all those stripes in the hall were kind of giving me vertigo. The color was gorgeous. I'm thinking I need to use that for some painting myself. And he got them one of those bizarre branchy-arm mirrors that he used for Toupee-Richard - I LOVED that mirror. I don't know what it is about that mirror, but I'm crazy about it.

Shame on Tom! First we eat endangered Sturgeon Caviar now in this episode we eat endangered Patagonian Toothfish referred to as "Chilean Sea Bass" Responsible chefs are removing endangerd fish from their menus. Google Monterey Bay Aquarium for list of endangered fish to avoid eating.

I didn't like this episode as much- I watch the show with my teenage daughter, and thought that this episode had too much sex, and not enough funny. if I had been watching alone I would have enjoyed it, but being with my daughter, and having pr/queer eye be part of our bonding experience, made me upset that she had too see it. I guess I should be more upset that she wasn't surprised by some of the things shown!

After viewing this episode, I was snapped into reality. My husband Ron and I had the time of our lives filming this episode with the Fab 5. They are everything you would think they would be... on and off camera. While we are thankful and forever grateful for the four fabulous days of filming, hanging out with a great crew, and receving an incredible apartment (thanks Thom!) and other generous gifts, I cannot overlook the fact that parts of the episode were tasteless, inappropriate for young viewers, and completely misrepresented. When you agree to be on a reality TV show, you sign contracts allowing the producers and editors to "represent" you in any way they deem necessary. We agreed, knowing the past episodes of QE and simply expecting an hour of them ragging on us. For the record, we are happily married, dealing with stressful factors, as other married couples do. Although not our fault, we apologize to anyone watching with their children and/or were offended by this episode. We were embarassed by the segment with Tracy Coxx and feel the show would have been great had that not been included in the depth that it was. Obviously, Bravo felt the same way since the show was scheduled to be aired on Saturday morning and it was changed to another episode. Thank you QE and Bravo for this experience, but we are disappointed in your editing.

Joni! Thanks for posting - I think it's very very easy to forget how much editing plays a role in what ends up on screen. And how reality shows are always going to go for what they think will grab viewers, and somehow the tasteless often seems to win out. I was a little shocked by that too - Queer Eye isn't LIKE all the other reality shows, so I wasn't expecting it to be quite so... explicit. And I thought, are her STUDENTS watching this??? Oh no!!!! That has to have been really awkward!

I'm very glad to hear you guys are just going through the normal stresses of being married. I came away just being really sad about the show, so it's good to hear that was editing too. AND that it was as fun as it always seems like it would be, racy editing aside!

I wasn't really offended by the "sexpert'" scene so much as annoyed. Waving around sex toys doesn't bother me at all, but it was tacky and rude to suggest that Jodi and Ron's former girlfriends had been faking it. Even if it's true that 70% of women don't orgasm through penetration (which I really don't think it is), that doesn't imply anything automatically about THIS woman. Don't tell a guy that you don't even know that his wife is faking it. Period.

But you know, if a big part of the hook for the show is putting the spice back into somebody's marriage, it's not exactly a shock that they're talking somewhat explicitly about sexual things. If it's scary to think of kids watching that, then perhaps it's a golden opportunity to talk to your kids about sex.

Joni, not Jodie. Sorry.

Oh, it WAS Jodi. Never mind!

Anyway, I thought the "date" thing was kind of weird. The idea should have been to make R&J's time together better, not just give her stuff to do when he's not there. I'm sure she's got plenty of good books. And I'm also sure it's hard to get romantic when there's a camera guy there...the QE guys freaked out too much about the mood going on.

Okay, really going to stop posting now.
