Yes but then if she's a plus sized model why would her looking like a plus sized model be bad. Was Allison expected to make her a regular sized model out of thin air?
No, Allison was supposed to realize what size her model was and design an outfit for her that made the model look nice. I think the model looked like she fell into a hay baler.

(Piggy-backing on brillke's post -- hysterically funny, by the way! :-) )
Wow, for someone who goes on and on about other people's spelling and grammar, "legendary" could use a few remedial lessons, methinks.
1. It's "brillke," not "brilke"
2. There should be a comma after "Brilke."
3. It's "you're responding to a post" (as a contraction of "you are"), not "your responding to a post."
4. There should be a comma after "ago" before "darling."
5. There should be a semi-colon after "leave" before "now."
6. There could be a comma after "now" before "I'm," although an argument could be made that it's not absolutely necessary.
7. There should be a comma after "back" before "sweetie."
Corrected version: brillke, you're responding to a post that was sent about four hours ago, darling. I did leave; now, I'm back, sweetie."
I'd respectfully suggest a brush-up on punctuation (especially the use of comma and semi-colon) and use of contractions.

that Alison got kicked off after that horrible display of a dress Robert did. All of his outfits have been weak in show and she has always been really good. Why did they consider everyone elses previous talent , but when she has one iffy dress they all don't consider her previous talent? Robert has to be one of the worst ones...All dresses he's done have been tacky and Alison has had nothing but praise from them. What's that all about?
Oh, nooooooo, don't dis Robert! I love my Robert, he is the only witty one in the bunch plus he is so cute. I am allowed to love cute because I think all the Allison fans liked her mostly because of cute. I agree that "auf"ing Allison was kind of like kicking a kitten but keep away from my Robert.

Kayne sounds like Michael Kors, only with a Southern accent
Michael, Uli and Laura are, in my opinion the best
I hope Michael and Laura don't fall out or argue
I don't particularly care for anything Kayne has designed
Robert has done some good things, but what happened with the Jackie O thing?
I did like Bradley. He was so unblemished. I liked Malan, but he could probably get on your nerves.
I was sorry to see Bonnie go

Vincent??????? over Alison. give me a Bleeping Break,
Vincent has been on the choping block to many times already, but to let Alison go because of ONE outfit, is an outrage,
the only reason i can think is because Heidi seems to like
Vincent for some reason, like she said, i know his dress was bad but he has talent. or something like that. HE DOES NOT. and i liked vincent at first maybe because i felt sorry or something for him, but he just has no Talent next to Alison, i dont even know what more i could say, something is Fishy there, how could they not take her past into account?

Laura needs to stop wearing the plunging necklines. Her boob was almost popping out during her fight with Vincent!
What Boob?
I was waiting for these comments!! Boy, do we need some comic relief tonight!! Let's talk boobies!
There are no boobies to reference to. Just rib cage under a plaster white sheet.
Wrong. We clearly saw one about the size of a large olive. Geez, with all that money she can't get a proper boob job? If she can get all that botox, and what looks to be fat sucked from some other body part and injected into those fakey-looking overly round cheeks, then why the heck isn't she getting those little cupcake hooters fixed, too?
FF1, this comment is not directed at you, but rather to this whole boob discussion. It seems ironic to me that we can be so up in arms about how offensive one "plus-size" comment from Heidi is to larger women, yet we ourselves apparently find it completely appropriate to mock someone as less of a woman simply because of her bosom size.
Do I think that less-plunging necklines would better flatter Laura's form? Yes. But do I think that she should be derided because she chooses not to have a boob-job just because she likely could afford it? Absolutely not.
I frequently find Laura very irritating and condescending. But I respect her for being a middle-aged woman who is not ashamed of the individualities of her own body.
Please don't be offended, it was all meant in good fun.
But, while Laura is a very individualistic person, she should still rethink those plunging v-necks. The rack o' ribs look just really isn't flattering. It's rather creepy, actually. And, if she doesn't plan to get a boob job, fine. But cover up the tiny tots, already. I'd chide a woman of any size who displayed her body in such an unflattering manner.
Perhaps I make fun of her because, in those few moments in my life when I am actually skinny as a rail, I have little more chest than she does. It is a true art form looking feminine when you are not well-endowed. But it certainly can be done. Laura, as a professional and an architect, should be able to design something that flatters her figure, rather than highlighting it in a bad way.

I just hit reply to gain access, nothing I say is directed at anyone it is just my take...
I said I would never post here again because of a OT problem. I have noticed the person that ripped on me and someone else who left also is more than guilty of what we were accused of doing.
After watching last night's episode, I was compelled to come here to see what was being said...
Personalities of the designers removed...this is how I see it...Angela, Kayne, Alison and Vince were the weak designers, while Michael and Jeff had the best designs.
If you look at the two best, I feel the overall product Jeff put forth was more creative in the things he did with the materials he had to work with, I felt his painting of the belt could have been better. Michael I felt was better in a more spotty kind of brillance. The gold top was very well done, his skirt was good, that celephane thing was not that great in my eyes. I understood his explanation but I have to say in my very humble opinion his design was not as creative as Jeffery, I felt Jeff was robbed. But then what do I know...
Now for my pick of the bottom four. Angela's design was ok not award winning by ok, it was clean appearing in the fact that it looked crisp. I can understand why she moved on. Kayne, geeze, he said it right, I hate this dress, I just need to design something that will get me to the next episode. His creation was somewhere floating in the gallaxy of Trash and Crash. I guess maybe he executed it well, I mean he put it together well because I kept wondering when he would light up her hair with a match and she would launch like fireworks on the fourth of July. Alison definitely was short on creation or an interesting design. I understand she did the best she could after she decided to move from her original idea. Since she had started to glue the first design with a glue gun, maybe she should have finished that design in a modular fashion and glued it together on the model. Since she moved to a new design she I felt in my humble opinion should have maybe pleated the skirt instead of letting it flow. Maybe she could have used the mid section of the dress, trimed it down and made it a halter top. Making the outfit a two piece thing. Heck she needed help with that. Now for Vincent, it is noticably obvious that he can not stand criticism. I think the judges got a taste of what Angela put up with in the one challenge. He basically told her to get out of his life and shut up. Go to the corner for a time out. Most of the designers stand almost mute when being criticized, not Vincent, he went toe to toe with Kors and Garcia. The judges gave him their opinion and he did not like it. Judging at best is subjective, judging at its worst is subjective. Personalities aside, Vincent was slightly more creative in his use of the materials than Alison at least in my humble opinion. They are supposed to be judged on that episode's creation, not on past designs.
Now factor in the personalities.
Michael is nicest of the two best designs.
Kayne is funny and we all enjoy his funny comments.
Alison was the probably the nicest of the those in the bottom group. She probably was nicest of all of the designers.
Vincent to me seems to be walking on the thin line of success and disaster. His design was slightly creative and innovative. He should have cut off some of the bottom of the outfit so the model could walk. Either that or made the front shorter and the back longer tapering between the two.
Now past performance.
Angela could have been ousted although her designs have come a long way.
Kayne has except for last night done a great job on his creations. They have looked good.
Alison's work has been consistently good, not episode winning but good. I did think she was robbed in the animal challenge. But that is my opinion.
Vincent's design quality has escaped me. Maybe the judges see something I can not see.
If based on past performance and given a break, Vincent should have had to pack his pins and gone home.
Now based on the antics on the show.
Angela jumps around a lot, and will probably jump herself into the ground and off the show. She possibly should have been gone.
Kayne has gotten a little catty lately. Yes I agree, his model is talkative. But that scenario could have been handled better. He told Laura where to get off this episode. He has been controversial but he is basically a solid designer.
Alison has been totally non abrasive during all the episodes. Her behavior has been basically above reproach. Does this make her boring, no, but not good TV drama. She should have been retained for nothing more than not being mean, nasty, or evil.
Vincent makes for good TV drama as does Jeff. You have to look at Vincent and think, Geeze what will he do next, antics or design it does not matter. He would be a great character for a soap opera based on the fashion industry. It could be called, "As Vincent Turns." or "Various Ideas From a Far Off Galaxy." or "Fashions From the Phantom's Sewer."
In my unfashionable opinion it was a close call between Alison and Vincent. I probably would have picked Alison to stay and Vincent to go, but then...
What is with Laura, if she is truly pregnant I figure she must be suffering from all day morning sickness. If she is not pregnant she must be pmsing on an everyday basis lately. She seems to be an extremely protective person when it comes to people she likes, this is not a bad trait. To barge into Vincent's space was a little off in my opinion, she knows he would never admit to anything that could be construed to be negative regarding himself. What was with Laura and Kayne and her comments there. That was strange to say the least. Good for Kayne for making the comment about not being trashed on television.
Now if they start eliminating for being non confrontational Uli will be gone in the next few weeks. On the non confrontational elimination, Robert and Kane will follow Uli.
Then we just need to build a boxing ring for the remaining designers, and let them slug it out however they decide to fight/
If I like or dislike the remaining designers is really not important. The designers should be judged on designs not which one I like or dislike, which ones boobs are flashing in the breeze, whose neck has more tatoos, who has suffered from stress related problems, who is gay and who is not, who is confrontational or not or whose just is the pits of society and who I think is the "ugly designer" in the fashion world. I defer to the judges, they supposedly are the experts, although I question their taste at times.

All I guess I'm trying to say after all this is that she had a hard job to do...
I wonder if the bow alone auf'd her. Tim hated it. I know she did try to tape it. It just wasn't as successful as it needed to be.
No, it wasn't. I've been thinking about it and I'm having a hard time remember a stand out piece from her. I wonder if it had been her or Kayne or her or Jeffery, wether we would all be sitting here angsting about it. Or if it's just that Vincent survived, yet again, past someone who was better (which is anyone)
Her dog ensemble was a near winner.

I honestly don't know why you people don't like Laura. She seems competent to me.
Kayne and Robert are the snotty ones. All they do is act like schoolgirls.

You know, I have liked Robert from the beginning, but I am not so crazy about his cattiness. If he had listened to Vincent (believe it or not), he might not have done so poorly on the Macy's challenge. But, noo, he had to be smart alecky about it. Seems like Vincent's opinion wasn't so wrong in that case. But for him to want to sit around and trash the other designers, especially Laura(of whom I am no fan), I thought was tacky and catty. Kayne totally won my respect by making nice comments about Laura's dress, even though he obviously doesn't like her. He also seems to be the type that doesn't really talk behind people's backs. I got the feeling that everything he said to Robert, he would have said to Laura (he did sort of later) I thought he was going on the "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" principle. It was Robert totally attacking her. Kayne just seems like good people, even if he is a little wacky. I absolutely love Michael and his personality. He seems like such a real person and to not play the politics. These are my two favs (especially now with Allison gone) You go guys! Keep it real and keep it courteous and civil!
au totally contraire, Kayne, Laura and Robert are kidding each other, as the boys make clear in their interview (see Project Rungay.)

That was a decent post if I must say so myself. However, people I look down on while eating atop the Essex House drinking Bordeaux never could rouse my feathers. See you people tomorrow off to dinner.
Wait she's coming back...?
Yes,and apparently she has feathers(no class, but LOTS and LOTS of feathers)
I wonder how long it's been since the peopl at the Essex House have seen a cockatoo drinking bordeaux

So glad my class is not all in my toe nail
Imagine just how painful that would be
For if it was stored in my toe nail
What a fool that would make the rest of me.

[quoteI saw that. I don't like Angela but I don't like Jeffrey's fighting with Laura so I'm open a bit on this.
I'll tell ya, I know who I'd want on my side in a fight (verbal, designer or physical) and it's not Jeffery! Laura kicks ass when necessary.
She sure takes no prisoners. Me neither.

Unfortunately, the Southern way,as u and I know,is to be complimentary but in a catty way.Like when Alma wears the same dress again, and we say 'You know Alma, that dress gets prettier everytime I see ya in it.Pass the punch, hon.'We aren't being evil(OK maybe a bit) but it's just our way.A lotta gay men use humor as an armor.Think about it,if you had to defend yourself everyday from the macho a-holes of the world and fight for your lil corner of taffeta,u might strike back with a quick zinger to keep from geting your hindend kicked. So,like some groups of women(note:I said SOME) they're a bit gossipy and catty, but Laura would be the kind of woman who would understand them....and they're smart enough, hopefully to appreciate her too.
YES! You have it in a nutshell. Take heed, all y'all Northerners. This is just good clean Southern fun. Stop taking it so seriously and "lighten up, it's just fashion".

Hahaha I love your song.
Really a classy person would never say they are better than other people. Or try to say having money makes them a better person. If it was somehow proven that one person on this planet was the classiest person to ever exist and God himself came down to agree and the entire planet knew of this all.... that person would say "oh gosh i'm not that classy" because being modest is classy. TELLING everybody you are classy is NOT classy. So saying "i have more class in my toe than most people ever will in their life" automatically makes her not classy.
Besides isn't the common saying I have more class (or talent) in my little finger than... just wondering if she changed it unpurpose or out of...gasp...ignorance
Actually, she just has really big toes.

Project Runway was different. So I actually watched it fairly regularly, but it is the only TV show I really pay any attention to (besides news and business/economic trends on CNBC). It has been a pleasurable escape from an intense corporate life.
Unfortunately, by losing Alison BRAVO TV loses the demographic of normal mainstream professional women's audience who were actually interested in the substance.
This is because we are all in shock at the lack of the judges' ability to choose based on consistent, long term performance of contestants like Alison. Disappointing.
Once we lose faith in the judges, we really stop caring about the entire contest.
Now that I think about it - we should be BRAVO's top target demographic! But they've lost us, and the money we representatively spend with advertisers.
I heard there is a rumor afoot by pissed-off fans to boycott Project Runway. Not sure it makes much of a difference, but I know I will.
Can't believe how upset I am over a dumb TV show.....

I like Laura too! I think she just doesn't put up with the badmouthing and bs that the other designers, ie jeffrey are handing out. and as for talking back to Vincent? who cares?? he is weird!! "I get off on it"? about a dress? about a dress that was a piece of crap? I think they are just keeping him around so he can be the Santino of this season although jeffrey is a close second!!

Kayne and Robert actually like Laura and respect her work. I like Laura alot, shes in my top 3. I like her so much in fact I want to be adopted by her. Maybe I could talk her out of plunging necklines and she could pass on some of that wealthy lineage Ive recently read about.
