9) I would really like to get a look at those judges scorecards!! I think they should make public the scores (or at least the scoring method?). There must be some numeric scoring, because Heidi always says, "Your scores have qualified you for the next round."
Thoughts?
I have often wanted to get a look at the scorecards myself! I was wondering if, at the beginning with so many outfits being shown, they have tiny little pictures on them to remind them of which designer made what dress!
Too embarrasing, perhaps? What if Michael Kors is writing "garbage" and "God help me" on his cards, or Nina Garcia is doodling on them? Or if Heidi is writing, "memo to self, make sure that ALL the models have shaved their legs" ?

**The problem with the "fresh start" theory is that it leads to a tyranny of mediocrity. The good designers have a bad day and get kicked out, others just make it and squeak through week after week.
The problem is bad enough as it is -- look at how long Kara (ugh!) lasted in the last show.**
On the other hand Kara's decoy collection was much better than the three who were there for real.

**And to all the people who sent me personal posts about how dare you you east coast snobs who spend 10,00 on clothes who cares blah blah. You missed my point entirely. Or made it actually. I was re-plying to a post from someone who said Bravo was losing an ENTIRE demographic of purchasers because Alison left and how dare..blah blah . I said they were NOT losing any demographics with buying power over a silly TV show. And the amount spent on clothes was NOT the point. Some of you are so personally offended all the time it is amazing. Spending that much on clothes is not weird or rich or extravagant. Add up what you spend. It is a lot more then you think. People spend 1.000 on clothing items sometimes, people spend 10,000, people spend 100,000. If it is not you, fine, But people do. A 3-400 jacket, a suit for 200, some shoes you like for 100. It adds up. And it is not a 'rich' person thing. Kids everywhere are walking around in jeans from A&F that cost $150 and 200 sneakers and on sale at every mall in this country.**
That kind of annoyed me as well. If you are a person who works with the public and lives on the tips that your "clients" send your way then it's a damn smart thing to look..um..smart. After reading your post I added up what I spent in the last year on clothes and, while it's not $10,000, it is in the neigborhood. If you're going to send someone to a multi 100 dollar dinner or show you need to look like you know you would be comfortable there yourself.

"Upcoming challenge-peoples Moms? Uh-Uh. Let's not assume they all have Moms or talk to them or they are available to be dressed up and paraded down a runway looking fashionable"
THAT is exactly what I said and meant Damsel. A simple innocuous comment that I did not think they would do Moms because there were a number of reasons not to, like no Mom, no relationship, not available, whatever. Nothing personal or nasty. I do not need Maxximo to defend me but thanks. And I am sorry about your Mom Maxx but that is what I meant. What if there was no Mom. God you people can take any comment and add the word nasty, tone etc to it and make it worthy of even more postings. It is very sad people feel such negativity and will now even comment on THIS.
LOL Maxx at the Alison thing. That was funny. I have yet to see one person who looked at her website say they would buy or wear ONE single thing she makes. People are like I cannot wait till September to see her designs. Why wait. Go look at her website. They are horrendous and I dare anyone here to send me a photo of you wearing one of those horrid Star Trek gone jersey pieces of crap.
Funny people get so outraged at eliminations but when you ask them if they have bought or actually looked at what the designers have gone on to make and sell not one person here seems to have bought them or wants them. The real fashions seem not quite as beloved as the challenge ones. I went to the Kara Janx opening at girlshop here and they were these jersey shmata things that maybe my aunt might wear. Yeah yeah. Iknow. It's a kimono. And that is EXACTLY what it is. A wrap around robe thing and been done a million times before
Come on. Who will put their money where their mouth is and buy one of these things? And don't even start me on Angelas stuff. I cam SPEECHLESS over the "80's skirt shredded like salad." One of a kind. Well yes you took a used skirt and shredded it. How, how oh how very junior high of you. Do you take credit cards. I will be sure to pick one up at Salvo this weekend and make a veggie course with it. Vincent. I will confess also. I'm also curious as to the sequence of events when putting the show together. Silly me, I think I've always assumed that each episode is edited and put in the can after each challenge. But, I just realized that it's likely that they film the entire season, find the winner and use this info to select the snippets they include in each episode.
Thoughts?
I disagree with FF1 to a certain extent. They may recut and re-edit shortly before the season begins, but I am convinced that Tim's, Andy's, and Rucker's blogs are done immediately after the episode because they are so full of minute detail. Surely they would forget most of that by the end of the season! (I would forget it by the end of the next day.)
I couldn't tell you what I did a month ago at work (except that I always do the same stuff every month ... but I don't believe (at least) Andy's and Rucker's blogs are done waaay in advance. They refer to more recent stuff (Rucker about Heidi on Conan) or talk to the designers about how they like seeing themselves on TV .. stuff like that .... they probably take notes and stuff!!

We are all willing to “play nice in the sandbox” together but you made the decision to throw the first sand in our eyes and then thought it was fun to continue. When that happens here, this board comes back with buckets full of sand. So now that you are buried up to your neck, you want us to stop? Some may still be picking the sand out of their eyes.
Want us to play nice? Then just stick to the PR topic and quit throwing the "made up lifestyle" at us. People who truly live the lifestyles you dream of do not spend their time throwing it around on a Reality TV show chat board.

I just went and looked up Jay's dress that you refer to...other than the color (silver), where is the similiarity? Jay's dress was a micro-mini strapless dress with purple adornments and a shrug. Robert's dress was not strapless, had a layered look to it, and a ruffle on the bottom. No other colored adornments, no shrug. So...again, besides the dresses both being silver...what else is so similiar? Not trying to be rude by any means but I just don't get how Robert's dress is like Jay's???

What do you mean they have a blind spot where Michael is concerned? They will make sure he wins? Please! Michael has been the most consistent designer on PR this season. Every challenge his designs have been worthy of the top three or win. They don't need to give Michael anything sweetie. Granted Jeff had one good challenge but his clothes have been garbage before this episode. Perhaps many of you lost sight of what this challenge was about. Perhaps you guys need to take a closer look at Michaels garment. The frayed edges the flawless make and detail. But I do understand that most of you on this site still buy off the rack so I won’t bother to debate or make you understand high fashion.
Most of us here probably have to buy off the rack because not all of us can afford "High Fashion". And honestly, even if I could afford it, I doubt I would buy it. Most of it is "costumey" as MK says.
This is too anonymous a venue to assume we don't know or understand "high fashion". We all know what we like and look good in. Most of the stuff for the runway is for a specific figure type and it has gotten away from the adaptability of all figure types.

I think Kors isn't a fair judge. He defended Kayne even though Allison's work has been great as well.
And Vincent needs to go. He is trapped in the 1960's- and no one wants to wear that stuff anymore. It was nice back then, but people today are different (heck, even most of the people who were young in the 60's think differently). Retro styles look ugly unless they are adapted for today's attitudes. That's just how it is.

I think the worst dress was Laura's - its always the same- such as the clothes in her back with different colors. Too boring!
Who I thought should be taken out was Laura. And Laura, enough of the slit to the tummy dress- its not flattering to you,I can see half of your small boobs plus some wrinkled tummy. I hope she can wear some jeans and loosened up a bit! Her clothes looks similar. She doesn't have a creative design bone in her

Not only that....but runway fashions don't translate into what will actually be sold. What is sold in stores is nothing like what you see on the runway. What's on the runway is over-the-top dramatic version of what has inspired what will actually be sold. Other than Bjork, who wears such costume-y, over-the-top clothing?!?!
