I was not pleased with Heidi's attitude either....

This is also my first time to the Bravo boards. I had to say something after tonight's show. After three seasons this is the first time I really feel like someone got cheated. Allison was robbed. Vincent is easily the worst designer on the show. I think this should be an embarrasment to the judges and producers, can you try to even imagine Vincent at Fashion Week. It's not even a good joke. Allison has been consistently strong in her designs up to now, Vincent has been consistently at the bottom of the barrel week after week. It's not cool to mess with Allison like this.

Quote:

I'm on the left coast too. Sounds like Vincent is getting by each week despite consistently below average offerings. Haven't seen his work tonight, but last week's Very Brady Twiggy dress was, eck. Someone please, tell me Alison's was worse than his tonight...because I just can't imagine it.

Much as I hate to say it, Allison's dress WAS worse than Vincent's. The hairdo was the cherry on the sundae, just like Kayne's makeup was the - well, I'll say twisttie on the garbage sack! Again I believe the judges finally come down on poor construction if two outfits are equally horrible, and Allison's was the more poorly constructed. She knew her model's size constraints and still elected to make something that did not have a waistline. I think she would have sneaked past if her model's hair was a nice plain bun or ponytail.
SarahToups
i agree. i can't believe that they chose allison to go home.

i'm furious. vincent should have saved that 401k for retirement, because he certainly won't make it in fashion. he is a poor excuse for a designer. allison has proven herself in all of the previous challenges. i don't think the producers realized that she would actually have such a following though. she was so cute and awesome! i can't believe it. i really can't.... absolutely ridiculous. this season is going to be hard to watch.
mbnishere
f*ck that sh*t. I thought maybe Runway was above producers wanting to get rid of one of the blondes, but guess not. way to make everyone sure that this show is run by the producers. Good work bravo.
PS thanks for the 13 macy's commercials... Just in case I wanted some cheep knock off purse, I know where to head. Thanks for taking away marshall fields. it was too good anyway.
wannabeme
Allison should not have left... II Vincent is freaky... just weird. That was a very bad decision.
BuddhaDog
You only have to be a size 10 or 12 to be considered a ''plus-sized model". Pul-leez.

and Angela needs to go, completely agree that she has no taste whatsoever. ditto Vincent.

Angela should've been in the bottom three more than Alison. I don't know what the judges were thinking this week.

Thank you! I thought maybe I was the only one who hated her [expletive deleted] fashions.

Rustchic- Your comment about Heidi saying, "recyclable" was great! HAHAHA!!!

Man, these people are going to get a bad name being on this show now. Unless it's their idea to be this ridiculous, but hopefully it's the producers nonsense. Although they should not go along with it. I used to like all of the judges, now I see alot of bad feedback on them.
Chey1
I SOOOOOO agree with all of these posts. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING????? I mean they let Kayne with his "confetti construction paper confusion" go through? And what about that crazy dress that had paper coming off of it on the runway? At the very least Allison deserved to stay for her overall performance on the show. I'm all for awarding creativity and artistry but I would rather have a designer that was consistent in these talents working for me.

Wow, Michael won again. I knew it was between Michael, Laura, and the other male designer who made the green dress. I really did not like any of the outfits. However, Michaels, Laura’s and the other dude did have the best outfits.

I meant to say Allison not Laura.

Go Michael!!!

Jeffrey is angry because his neck is bigger than his waist and he looks like he has down's syndrome.

Poor ugly Jeffrey, spent his whole life getting made fun of so now he has to make big, "artsy", cut-up clothing because he is "deep." And he has to get tattoos all over his neck because he is so "punk."

Whatever Jeffrey, if only your mother had gotten that coat hanger a little further in, we could have given your slot to someone else.
ladygodiva
I can't believe Vincent is still on the show, oh my god!!! His dress was a disaster, he has been a disaster since the first episode!! What is wrong with the judges???? Allyson has been a good designer all along, I can't believe she's gone!!!! The producers should kick out crazy Vincent and bring back Allyson!!!

I think the point is that she's not plus size. Even plus size models don't want clothing that makes them look heavier.

I agree. I don't think Allison lost because she made a plus-size dress. I think she lost because she made a dress that was not attractive for her model's build. I'm very thin, and I'm smart enough to know that fashions that look good on more muscular men don't look good on me. The same goes with thinner or heavier women. A good designer should know how to design for his client's personal build. Allison, unfortunately, failed at that.

Excellent analysis. Also, what was with that cockatoo feather swirl thing sticking way up above one shoulder? Who, exactly, would wear that? You couldn't even get a coat over it.

I do feel sorry for her. The design she started to make looked like it was going to be really eye-popping. When she realized that the paper "fabric" she was making wasn't going to look good as a dress and started from scratch again, she tried making a single color fancy with all those wierd poufs (Angela, watch out, you've got competition) and swirls and clamshell design on the stomach. It just didn't hang together, and it did make her skinny model look fat. What a disaster. Nonetheless, I was stunned when they booted her. Have been so sure that Vincent would get canned before she did.

Michael's dress, on the other hand, boasted a superior bodice with that woven, criss-cross gold lame look and that pencil skirt with just the right touch of detail. What an outstanding effort! He definitely deserved to win.

YES her outfit looked like the sister piece to the tinker toy Bradley made last week. The model looked like a space cadet on acid.

Are the judges insane? Alison was one of the few good designers on the show. Jeffrey is right that the red head's (can't remember her name) outfits all look alike. Take a look at previous episodes. They either all look alike or (more likely) look like an outfit she already owns. No originality there.

Oh, and what is with keeping Vincent? Ratings? I find it very unfortunate that the network has turned to underhanded efforts such as this rather than focusing on the true talent and skills of the desinger as they did during the first season. The show is (was?) good. Why mess with success?

I have been an avid and dedicated fan since the beginning of the show, however I find the show losing it's overall appeal when producers and directors as well as judges have input on design decisions. I will be seriously reconsidering my devotion after this sorry decision. Bad form!

Heidi's come under criticism before for her fat phobe comments. But didn't anyone know that this is HER SHOW? She's the executive producer and not just some dumb blonde. She's a fascist, but then all fashionistas are like that. I have wondered about alot of the stuff she's worn on the show some of it eidelweiss or just making her look FAT yeah that's right Heidi dear, FAT FAT but to quote the President she's the "Decider" not little ole me.
all4dogs
Me too. I can only reply. Many of the page links don't work. Looks like the webmaster "is out".
britneeee
AHAHAHAHAHAH i forgot what it was that Vincent said when they were uh... critiquing his dress but he was like when she turns the corner it turns me on something something something else. oh my GOD. it was such a freaky thing to hear from an already creepy guy
khsr109
The decision to get rid of Alison over Jeffrey is stupid.
The challenge itself was stupid and more lacking in creativity than anything I saw on the runway.
I'm hoping next week is better. As Michael Kors would say, I'm underwhelmed.
damselfly
Does anyone want to comment on not only the plus size thing but how about Micheal Khors saying 2 times that he didn't expect that from a female designer. So wait, Vincent wrapping a woman in a tube that she couldn't walk in the standard woman's dress shoe...heels can be overlooked because he's a man but Allison having to deal with a model who doesn't have a waist ( speaking as a woman whose waist is nonexistant) is unacceptable because why? She should know better. Well listen folks, I read magazine (almost evry magazine) and in those "How too help your body by..." sections they almost never help women whose bodies look like mens...BUT Allison was suppose to solve that in this episode...Well, come on Allison, work a miracle....(that was sarcasim if you missed it)
jinksi202
obviously, the Big W had a say in the decision...

Poor Allison. She looks like she's about to die. ):

I looked just as shocked as she did at my TV set

for them to choose Vincent over her is unbelievable!

I'm crushed.. I have to pick another favorite designer for the finals now.

It's true that while I was watching the show I was wondering how Angela and her had switched "SOULS" and why she was doing an "Angela dress" (what is up with the poof!?) this week but still.. she came through on the designs week after week and was so solid and Vincent hasn't been!

(The happy news for me is that Robert did really good this week! .. but I'm not happy)
FuckTheRunway
I would just like to say that I absolutely refuse to continue watching the blasphemy on project runway. [censored] this atrocious [censored]. Vincent, I don't even know what to say about the repulsive garments he makes. Are you [censored] joking. And Angela, [censored] Christ! That waste of life should jump out the window of their NYC apartment. As for giving Allison the boot, What the [censored] is wrong with the judges on that show. It is obvious that Nina, Micheal, and Heidi are now blind, of course I would be too if I had to look at Vince and Angela's outfits every god damn day.
Jadis
Are you happy Project Runway producers? In your attempt to keep the show drama filled you've perhaps made the worst mistake in the shows history by kicking Allison. So much for trying to save ratings as this move will surely lose you more viewers.
I don't get why they think Vincent is camera friendly either, every time he's on the screen I get sick.
raveneffect
i am sitting here thinking that the judges horrible decision was a dream and that next week alison will be back on. i cant even believe that they would keep basket head over her. the only thing that will make me feel better about this gross misjudgement is if the judges renounce their decision and bring her back. i cant even imagine that the producers are even gaining from this ERROR because vincent is not even appealing. i feel bad for the guy if he cashed in his 401k because the dress he made for tonights viewing reminded me of a kindergarten project i did. Seriously, i am not trying to rag on him so much as just trying to explain how angry i am over this elimination. and from the looks of it, i am not alone. this show rarely disappoints me with eliminations, but this one time has affected me so much, that i have really lost respect for the show. Tim Gunn even questions their decision!!!!! Please, if a producer is reading this, do all of us fans a huge favor and admit that this is so wrong and bring her back. Alison is on the cutting edge of fashion and i would wear her clothes every day of the week. I cant believe they busted on her for being a female designer and not getting fit right for the female body, but i wouldnt wear the "garment" that vincent made even if it fit like a glove...it was just plain laughable.

Hi, all! I am new to the board. Just wanted to say that I am NOT NOT NOT happy with Heidi in this episode. "She looks like a plus size model", "she looks fat", etc. I think her comments were very inappropriate tonight. I was completely disappointed!!!! I am actually pretty peeved!!!!

Welcome to the real world of Heidi.

I love Michael. Man believe me i do. I think he should be in the last three definetly. But in this challenge, JEFFREY WAS ROBBED, THIEFED, PLAYED. IT'S LIKE THERE IS A CURSE ON HIM. But you know what they say. you don't need to win every challenge. you can be second in all of them and stil come out on top.

As I've said many times, Michael is by far my favorite designer this season. And, though I don't think I've said it before on these boards, Jeffrey is definitely one of my least favorites. That said, to be fair, I would have ranked Michael a very strong no. 2 this week and would have given Jeffrey the win.

As I wrote 2 weeks ago, even the worst batter occasionally hits a home run, and even the best batter occasionally strikes out. This week, Jeffrey was the weak batter who finally hit it out of the park, and Kayne and Allison were both all-stars who struck out.

Being a 21 year old who enjoys watching Project Runway, I am quite disappointed in Heidi's remarks on making it seem like being heavy or plus size is a bad thing. I kind of lost respect for her and the show. I guess people like Mia Tyler don't count as models. I'm not sure if Heidi actually reads these posts, but these comments tend to hurt someone like me who is a size 14 and not a size 1.

I understand that but think about it this way. If you're a size 4 you don't wanna look like a 12 and if you're a size 12 you don't wanna look like a 20 or 2X or whatever it's called. That was the point I got from what she said. I'm about an 8. If I look like an 8, a 6 or even smaller I'l very happy but if I look like a 12 I'm going to be horrified.
all4dogs
He is very creepy. I'm still shocked that they picked Vincent over Alison! Talk about BAD TV!
djdesign
As far as people being jealous of Laura; it's not a matter of jealousy, it is a matter of poor manners. Laura is talented, but she is all about herself. She even tried to manipulate and dominate the goodbye time for Allison by starting another raving drama with Vincent. I am glad that Kayne took the attention back to saying goodbye to Allison instead of Laura trying to steal the spotlight. Her fashions are classic and she has talent, but her choice of words are poor taste. I'm sorry, but my mother never talked trash like that about or to other people.
reachmeatlauren
Ok now that I have calmed down it is time for an intelligent post. The two people on that show that create for the younger audience have gotten nothing. Both Alison and Jeffery make clothes for a young counter culture that is steadily growing. The punk scene is coming back strong and the indie scene is growing popularity. As much as I hate my little sub cultures to become pop, it is happening. If the judges really wanted to find someone who could take fashion to the next level then they would give more credit to Alison and Jeffery.
Also why do they like Laura? Every garment she makes looks just like the one before, or all the ones she wears.
laurap70
I have been a fan of the show since season 1, I have not always agreed w/ the judges but tonight was a joke. Allison is a great designer, Vincent has no idea what fashion is...I am so disappointed w/ Allison going home. I am really starting believe this show is rigged and they are keeping the idiot Vincent around for ratings/controversy. Jeffrey should have won the challenge tonight as well...he was robbed.

I am also tired of Laura's designs looking the same week after week...mix it up, show some creativity.

Heidi is also very rude w/ her comments, maybe it's a language barrier or she is just plain ignorant.
thadgarrison
Eh, it's the fashion industry, plus-sized doesn't even register with those people. For them, size zero is morbidly obese.

It's all about fitting your clothes on whatever body type is considered the absolute elite at any given time. Concentration Camp Chic has been in for a while now, so industry people don't even know how to judge a real womans body anymore.

Though, Alison's dress was horrendous - plus sized or not.
uhohwhoopsbroken
I love that!! Too bad none of the judges had the chops to say it.
khsr109
Looks like I'm stupid as well. I meant Vincent, of course, not Jeffrey. DUH!
suomipeter
What the heck! I have been watching PR from the very start. At times, I have disagreed with the choices made by the judges. But tonight tops the cake, seriously!

Vincent is a nut. He is not a good designer, his dress tonight was not only in poor taste, but could have been done by any of the runway rejects. He is out of the loop and not appropriate, "This dress gets me off." What the heck.

Allsion, love her. She has taste, she is current. She made a poor choice, no doubt. But that was the first poor choice she has made this season. Vincent continually makes poor choices.

As for KANE... he is willing to win at any cost. He is petty and he symbolizes what most straight people see gay people as... DRAMA. I think perhaps Michael K. has a bit of a crush here? Just a thought!

Good luck to Allison, she will do great things!!!
ckbragg
Effective Immediately:

We demand the swift and harsh removal of Heidi Klum and her taste (such taste I would designate as bad, but cannot bring myself to even give her taste that much credit).

Although, Michael is the clear choice to take this season's competition; he was obviously not the clear winner tonight.

Moreover, Alison should NOT have lost! I think it is evident that each competition is not judged solely on specific evening's challenge. For if it was, then obviously tattoo neck would have been the winner by a long shot, rather than a close second. And I think we can all agree, if the decision was based entirely on the night's challenge, Kayne is and was the obvious Loser.

But as was proclaimed by the judges during the time of discussion and decision, Kayne, "[knows] how to make clothes."

I say all of this to say Alison should still be with us.

We could easily speak about last challenge (though we will not!), about the consistently poor judging.

May I suffice it to say, the judging can be likened to diabetic food; no taste. Just like Klum's dress and hair-do.

I mean, if nothing else, the judges should have honored Alison's dress for how closely it relates and communicates the style of judging this season.

Today, sadly at challenge six, Heidi is still with us, and regretfully, Alison is not.

Bring back Vera Wang.

Say auf wiedersehen to Mrs. Seal.

Tim Gunn said, "Project Runway is nothing without it's integrity and purpose..."

How can this be true with the current state of judging?

They are far from making it work.

In conclusion:

Michael (a.k.a Kanye to the-) is awesome.

Alison has mad talent and should not have been eliminated based on one not-so-good dress when her others have been above board as well as her style notes.

Tattoo-neck was the obvious winner of this particular challenge.

Laura was slacking in this challenge and really hurt herself with the bad attitude.

401K; I'm glad he stood up for his work. He was proud; We're proud of him.

Michael Kohrs: Keep rolling those eyes, take 401K's advice, and put those Harry Winston's up your nose.

Carry on.

Harry Winston was jeweler in NY at one time, i think his son still owns the busines.. Did you ever see the Marilyn Monroe move (name slips my mind0 where she sings Diamonds ARe a Girls Best Friend? she mentions him in that sing. I also think he bought the Hope Diamond from the owners and donated it to the Smithsonian.

ugh..heidi is off my christmas card mailing list.

i 'got' what she was saying, but she said it so WRONG.

i dont understand why allison couldnt make it though on her past good designs...she hasnt made the bottom 2 or 3 each time...but i dont think there has been a time that vincent didnt...and HOW did angela get through this without a scratch?

i know im not a designer, but i have to say, i think allisons looked better than kaynes...i think his looked like someone vomited some sort of party cake all over his model.

the hair on allisons model though was horrific.

I was really disappointed that Allison was sent home too but I take comfort in knowing that she has gotten some exposure and it can only help her career.
