I don't think Vincent ever belonged on the show in the first place. He is NOT good drama, his ramblings make me crazy and he is certainly NOT innovative. The biggest problem that I had with this episode was the fact that the judges considered past good designs for some people and then didn't implement that for Allison. That this not showing the integrity they say they have. I knew they would not leave her on the show because she was so quiet, which I think will be Uli's downfall as well. Doesn't matter if they are good designers or not. The other issue I had was all the plus size/fat comments coming from the "judges".
I think Laura's outburst was from being upset that Allison was sent packing. I like Laura a lot but wish she would tone that sort of thing down just a bit. Robert is beginning to act like a child with his comments about Laura, especially since he so far has shown very little fashion sense!!

Remford,
Do you mean that Alison showed little class on the runway or during her post-PR interviews?
I noticed that more than one of those comments on the Bravo exit video (and elsewhere) were, um, sour grapes. I was surprised, quite frankly, that she admitted Jeffrey often says what she thinks. It made me realize that the Supernice Supercute Supersilent Alison was a bit darker than we'd thought. Jeffrey's comments are often of a nefarious nature, dontcha think?
I felt the same way and stated so on an earlier post and my reason was her post interviews where so surprising to me.
I mean here we are bad-mouthing people like Laura and Jeffrey and others for being rude (just deadly honest as far as how they feel actually) on the show but I tend to give them a gold star for at least saying what they think up front in reaction to what was happening at the time. You know where they stood whether you agree with them or not and can take it from there. I can at least respect that.
Alison? a bit two faced and a wolf in sheep's clothing. Respect? zero.

I've seen it, but I don't remember a young, fresh-faced Robert. But that's because I saw it before Season 3. I'll have to Netflix it and watch again. Were there any tantrums thrown directly at Robert?

I just went out in the back yard. It is hot but I think it might have been hotter yesterday. Did get excited, thought it was getting cloudy but the sun had just gone behind a white fluffy cloud.
It can rain all over the area but it does not rain in Arlington at my house. Think there may be a glass bubble over this area that keeps out cool air and rain lol.
I have to take hubby to the Dr in a bit and I dread getting out in the heat and even more so after the car sits at the Drs office, having to get back in it.
I can't get a tech out here until Wednesday for my broadband so I guess I will continue to be up and down until then.

I often wonder why they picked Vincent to be on the show in the first place. During the R2R, I thought there were more interesting characters and, by now, I believe they could have produced better stuff on the runway.
Does anyone remember the "where-the-magic-happens" guy? I guess they wanted a different character type, so they went with Vincent. And, to be honest, I was rooting for him early on because of his underdog status and his bravery in jumping back into the game at this stage in his career.
But I'm getting really tired of his kookiness and bombs on the runway. I just don't find it entertaining or inspiring.

designing as the chosen designer. Can you see Laura having to do one of Jeffs designs? Would Michael go over the edge having to make Angela's rossettes? Could Vincent pull off a Laura design without his trademark wackiness? The designers would have to follow the sketches provided by the original designer and can only use the fabric bought by the original designer. Think of it as a "Freaky Friday" challenge.

You would have a revolt. I can't even begin to see it happening.
I think they're influencing each other and it's happening anyway. Angela won her icon challenge because she made a Laura dress. Alison lost this challenge because she made an Angela poof skirt... more examples if you look at the designs again.

In some way I agree with you, I think she kept quiet during the episodes when she could have spouted off because she was afraid to basically. She is young and just not as worldly as some of the others. I think when it came to the exit interview she felt this was the time to say the things she had restricted herself from saying prior to her auf. I think she also said somewhere that all were very tired or sleep deprived and we all know when you are running on nothing by nervous energy we do and say things one way that could have been said better or less offensively. I kind of admired her for finally saying what she felt. The points she made were in my opinion legitimate I probably am wrong but then...I feel she truly likes Jeffery because of the Keith project. They worked well together. They were thrown into a difficult situation and made it work. (Not to coin a phrase.) I think she probably was offended at some of the things said about Jeffery by the other designers during the different episodes and just let it all hang out when she was removed from the show. She probably should have not said anything but she did and we just have to take what she said as an explaination or as sour grapes. I think she adopted the Uli persona in that she said nothing during the show. I wonder what some of the others will say when they are removed. I imagine living, working, and surviving under the conditions that they are put in is very difficult. I don't think she could have spoken out too much because she was living with Laura and Uli as I remember. Although her choice of time was possibly bad I think we have to cut her a little slack.
I am watching with interest as to how the others will survive now that the numbers are dwindling and the intensity is increasing. I remember or at least I think I remember I never spoke up too much when I was her age and then I would just unload. I have learned over the years to speak up more. She was not given that much air time either as I remember. Not like Laura, Vince and Jeffery. Kayne and Robert are fairly silent too as of late and do not have much time to speak out. Add to that the producers are editing for drama and she is not a drama queen, or appears not to be. My impression of her is that she does her work and keeps quiet, but when specifically asked she will open up. I think as these exit interviews are conducted, they ask the person questions and person answers them because they keep fading in and out. Heck I don't know. I will say I was surprised but just accepted it at face valve and felt she felt this was her time to speak out on how she felt about all that had happened.

Well, I'm not saying she was an angel, by any means...maybe I just need to watch season one again!! It's hard to keep the two seasons straight since I've only watched those shows once, maybe twice. Whereas with season 3, I've watched each episode multiple times -- what an addict I am! Keep me away from the crack pipe or I'd be in real trouble! ==========
I usually watch the program twice, not always, before I log onto the boards because I don't want to be influenced. When I log on and start to read the posts I see how everyone has interpreted what has happened. I find it very interesting and then incorporate the ideas I accept and discard those I just do not agree with. I like to read how others see things and sometimes wonder why I did not see that occurance that way or geeze what are they thinking. We all are, or at least that is my opinion, very strong personalitites. Most will read and agree or dissagree and are not afraid to say what we think. I on a whole feel most do not become offended if you dissagree if you present good and logical reasons for your opinion. I, like most look at the designs and the garments and make our decisions from that and are not really influenced by personalities. We may comment on their personalities but when it comes down to the nitty gritty we talk design not personalities.
I also think that as the week goes on we start to look more deeply into what has really happened. In other words we look past the surface and delve more deeply for possible explanations. Usually there is more than one explanation for what has happened and we all bring that to the table.

I did not think Wendy Pepper was as bad as everyone made her out to be. She was playing the game as they all were.
Even Jay now says he played the production.
In season one I know Jay wasn a lot of people's favorite but he never was mine. When he did his runway show for Fashion Week, I personally thought it was awful. All patchwork, country fashion and those headphones were just stupid. They added nothing.
Wendy did an okay runway but it was nothing to get excited about and I didn't think that Kara Sungs was great either but I think the shoe thing was part ofit. Ifelt if she cheated on the shoes what else had she cheated on while she was creating it.

Vincent is this season's Santino Rice, they are keeping him in the mix for when he has his emotional break down because he is seriously unstable.
Also, I think that since Kieth got knocked out early and they are missing a designer for the season--at some point the viewers should be able to vote our favorite designer back on the show. I totally know who I would vote for..."Allison" even though she did put the poor girls hair into a bow on the top of her head....yea that was a really bad choice....

Wow. I really like it, too. Austin's so romantic! My favorites from Season 1 were Austin, Jay and Kara Saun. I have to admit I liked Jay's runway collection. I wasn't thrilled with the fuchia outfit, but I thought the other pieces were really creative, interesting, and modern. Plus, I think it is amazing that he dyed his own fabrics and quilted that coat. I guess it could be considered country, but he gave it such an urban flare.

I really likes some of his creations others were a little out there for me. I do think that his final design was better served at the Oscars as opposed to the other award show. It seems that each award show has its own personality and you must dress that part. How do I feel about that. Stupid, wear what you want. Don't let the others influence you, be true to yourself.
Actually as of late I have stopped watching all the awards programs because they can be so boring. Whatever happened to the streaker that put Johnny Carson in a state of shock. Now not that I advocate that, but the shows have become so boring, I usually wash windows and it is just background noise.

Were you speaking about Austin's or Jay's gown? From what I remember, Austin was the one that designed a more Oscar-worthy dress for the Grammy challenge. I can't really remember what Jay came up with, to be honest.
I don't really watch awards shows anymore, either. Although I don't remember the streaking incident, I bet it was lively! Things like that just don't happen anymore, unless they are carefully planned and produced. It all just feels canned.

For a show that is supposed to be "Fashion" she looks like a reject and I would love to see what the other experts think of her outfits. If someone else is choosing her outfits for the shows Heidi needs to fire that person. Maybe she is using the Vincent theory, throw stuff at the body and see what sticks. She also has gotten a little nasty in the way she dismisses the auf'd. Have a little compassion Heidi. I don't know but she just does not seem like a good host.

Heidi is a B---h she is so ego centric,a hotty with no brains and a sadistic bent. I've watched for three seasons and every season I like her less. I hated what she did to Jay,refusing to go to his show. Her taste is horrific! I am so sick and tired of her jack-boots and jewelry. She probably offed Allison because Allison had better skin.
She refused to go to his show?? I don't remember that....
If this is from Project Jay, she didn't refuse to go. He asked her if she would come to his show--of course there was no set date, etc. She replied that she would try to come. She didn't sound particularly enthusiastic, but given that he's put off his show a few times ....
She actually may not be able to because I think his show is the same day as the PR finale.

I have a feeling that Kayne, Vincent and Alison were close in the scoring, that maybe there was some hanky panky, who knows. From watching Kayne he knew he was in trouble, Alison too, while Vincent felt his artsy design/garment was so outstanding he felt he should have won that episode and could not believe he was standing there possibly to be eliminated.

This will be my first and my last post ever, because this is the last episode that I will be watching of Project Runway. I really hope that the producers are proud of their cheap and expected production of this show. One of the saddest things is that the producers will not believe that a good designer is interesting on their own. Instead they keep people like Angela and Vincent on the program for drama value only. It was funny for a while but now they are at the point where they are throwing away great talent to satisfy their taste for "bad taste". The judges are obviously in on this as much as the producers, to keep the dress Angela smacked together in the top half of the contestants is an outrage to the other artists and an insult to the bravo and project runway audience. Great job on pushing away your audience, and knowing that this contest is just a big circus.

I have to agree, vevery season her heart seems to be in the show less and less. maybe its because Seal want to keep her barefoot and pregnant at home? she should tell him she's not a breeding cow!! lol

I just saw it again and yes, it's him in a bit of a blink and you'll miss it performance. But, he's also 12 years younger and about 20 lbs thinner.
