If I may ask, why damselfly? It makes me think of tinkerbell.
notevayas
A damselfly is like a dragonfly and often gets mistaken for a dragon fly. If you've ever been around lakes or small bodies of water they are the smaller dragonflies that are usually bright blue in the northeast but can come in very different colors. The reason I chose it is because when I was 24, I was single really for the first time since I was 16. So for my birthday I got a tattoo on my wrist of a dragonfly that I designed (very simple) later that year when I met my husband on our second date he said "I've been thinking about your tattoo and I don't think it's a dragonfly I think its a damselfly." He showed me a picture and it really looked more like a damselfly. So, long story long, its sort of been my talisman ever since....not to bore you
I'm not bored.. but I just don't sit still for long at one site..
I don't have any tattoos and have promised not to get any.. which is a good thing because I am an impulsive person and would get something I'd regret in a "mood".. like a snake or a skull or something juvenile.
But you were clever to tattoo your wrist because you can always wear a bracelet or cuff to disguise it.
LOL there are occasional blue dragonflies here but I think they have a very short lifespan. I never knew they were "damsels". I was a huge "Buffy" fan and I think the actress Sarah Michelle Geller has the dragonfly tattoos also, and had jewelry commissioned with dragonflies. So you are in good company.

What do I being from Atlanta have to do with me staying in New York? I've never told anyone where I was from so I don't know where you’re getting your information from. Just continue being the low budget lady you are and keep me out of your posts because I don’t recall ever talking to you. Don’t be jealous because you can't be me and you’re forced to live your sad life on hourly wage. I've told you and others before don't try and get an idea of someone from a few posts on this board you don't know me and sure in the hell don’t want to you know you. We would never come in contact with each other if it where not for the internet. We are from a different social and economic class you are beneath me and don't you forget it.

Just grabbing on. How about all the women from "The View". Or does anyone know a program with several women on it? I don't watch much TV except PR. I think there is more than one "every day woman" because they are making ponchos AND jackets, etc., each designer talks about "my model" requested red & black, Jeffrey's liked purple...etc.

When I was a child, we had those oh, I think they were called Colorforms. It was a picture of some scene with little slick plastic clothes you could dress the characters in. Very 2 dimensional, but fun still. Please tell me I am not the only one who remembers these! I am seeing big bucks in a PR Colorform. Or even better, a Tim Gunn paper doll set.
I know this is a few days old, but I couldn't resist.
I LOVED colorforms! And paperdolls. I still have quite a few of my paperdolls from way back when. I think PR Paperdolls would be a great idea. Add a few pages for people to design their own outfits for the model with a basic how-to. All of them...Nina, Michael, Heidi, and of course, Tim Gunn. Would be great!
I loved Colorforms - remember them very fondly.
I love the idea of PR colorforms or paper dolls, but I want a whole line of PR toys and sets - the workroom at Parsons, the Atlas hotels, the runway, and designer action figures...how about action Santino?

I know Katherine Gerdes is a strange choice. It's not like I'm like her, but if I were to be totally honest about how I would come across on TV, it would be more like Katerine or Bonnie. Just kind of "normal" and out-of-the-way.
This has no doubt been discussed many times before, but don't you think that the designers' personal appearance makes some impact on the judges? Was it Katherine who stood there in jeans, tee shirt, no makeup, and poor posture while she was getting "auffed"? Remember Wendy wore carnival makeup and lost, then Kara Saun helped her and Wendy won the next challenge. I am certainly far from saying that appearance has a LOT to do with the judging. I do think it has to do with the respect a judge awards the designer. I know they are exhausted, frazzeled, last minute rushed, but nevertheless before the judging, I feel one minute to put on a clean shirt, brush the hair, and a little blush and lipstick might be just the edge needed. (No lipstick for you, Kayne!!)

Here is my take on the season so far:
I really like Kayne, Uli, and Michael. I would be throughly pleased if one of them won. I think that they are all very talented and deserve to win.
I am shocked and stunned that Alison was voted off on this episode. I think that she was one of the more talented designers on the show. Vincent has been in the bottom two so many times, it's crazy! His odd style and manerisms should have gotten him kicked off the show a long time ago.
I do not like Laura. I did in the beginning of the show, but they way that she treats all of the other designers on the show for the most part is ridiculous. I am regularly disgusted by her choice of clothing due to the fact that it generally shows her sagging boobs due to the too deep v-neck on her dresses.
Angela is ok I suppose. I thought she was mildly crazy at first, but more recently her designs have not been too bad, I really liked that one she designed for the INC challenge with Michael and Laura.
Jeffery. Not only is he a jerk, but most of his designs are hideous! The dress that he designed for this episode is pretty much the only time I have liked one of his dresses.
Robert is ok, but a lot of his clothes have not been to my taste. While I like him, I don't particuarly like his clothing designs.
These are just my opinions on how the season is going so far. I love Project Runway and am very excited to see the new episode tonight! I am going to guess that they are going to have to design an outfit for Hilary Clinton. Just a guess.

I cannot begin to explain how outraged I was that Alison was kicked off. I am in a state of pure disbelief that Vincent, who will send a Moden down the runway with a basket on her head, is still on. Alison has created incredible designs, succeeded in the face of hardship and has always expressed creativity and innovation... and she was tossed to save Vincent?? Is it because Alison never stirred the pot or caused trouble? She never exhchanged quips with the other contestants? She opted out of the in-house arguments?
BAD FORM PROJECT RUNWAY.
We see right through you now.
Ratings and drama over talent.

I completely agree. They keep saying it's a competition for the models...but I disagree.....I mean, the 'winning' model may get the Elle spread but, really, not by any talent the way it's going this season. It's luck of the draw....look at how many times they've switched up the models, then don't use all the models for each epi, and then the show after Keith was auffed, they draw models from the bag to determine who gets to stay and who goes home??? What does talent have to do with getting your name drawn out of a bag?!?!?!!!

I agree. In the preview, they keep referring to their 'models' as 'clients'...this is what my client wants, etc. The only way I can see around that is if maybe the models are relatives but they don't get to design for their own relative but for each other's relatives. Like Vincent gets to create for a relative of Laura so Laura's sister/aunt/mother whatever is a 'client' to the designer rather than a relative.
