I most certainly can't understand what the judges were thinking. Why after repeatedly "blotching" his runway designs is Vincent still in this?
Allison poor chica makes one "fugly" looking design and poof! she's out.
Where the hell is the justice?
I can't understand what the judges are looking at. Are we watching the same show and seeing the fashions they're seeing? I don't think so....

Can we pleaaaaase start using fabric and see more of the designs. Don't really care about the bitching and moaning. I can watch Jerry Springer if I wanted that. Show more of the clothes or what are supposed to be "clothes"

I agree about the bitching part. I love the Robert & Kayne show but I do want to see more 'fashion'.
womaninthewindow
No, No, NO, NO, NO. What are they possibly thinking? Allison has been consistently good. Vincent on the other hand is mediocre at best. Frankly, I thought Jeffery's design was the best. However, he didn't have to keep rolling his eye. I hope he wins one of the challanges before he shows some real anger. Anyway, I have been watching since the first PR. This is the first time I signed up to comment, since I usually agree with the judges. Not this time though. Better to make a garment one may look a little bigger in than to make one that's dangerous. Heck, your friends would lie to you if you looked a little bigger, but if you fell flat on your face or tore your dress when you sat down, well then I guess Vincent's your man. I really wish the decision was different. Allison could have easily been in the final three. I guess anything can happen.

next week is probably it for vincent. i think they are trying to give him time to show his talent but the clock is ticking. unless someone screw up really bad next week, vincent is gone. i think vincent has good ideas but he is too over the top with everything he does. that was not right for laura to go off on vincent. he had nothing to do with how the judges judged. she was way out of line.

i want to see something different from angela and michael. i hope michael do a pant suit and laura do something daring. jeffrey is too freaking evil. he can never be happy for others. michael on the other hand was happy when other people won challenges. he takes criticism well. when tim told him to do something with that skirt, he took it as a challenge to improve his design. this is why i like him. his designs are good and he has a good attitude.

What is Harry Winston?
What is brioche?
I'm a little S L O W
Do you think next week is going to be plus size models??
or are they going to put the models in plus size suits??

Poor Alison - I must admit her design was awful sorry
Vincent is crazy
Do you think Laura's dress wording something about nuts
was directed towards Vincent??

Answer me

Harry Winston makes diamond jewelry.

Brioche is a french pastry/bread made of eggs and kneaded for a long time. like a french version of challah. very yummy, especially when piped with chocolate. but i digress...

I did laugh that Laura's dress had a rosette (fleurchon?) at the waist and that she was complimented on it.

heidis job on the show is to stand around and be a total idiot.
she doens't even dress well to begin with and shes a model
she looks fat in everything she puts on her body, and shes barely pregnant.
all of her outfits are atrocious so i don't think she even be ALLOWED an opinion on what other people make in short amounts of time.

see? im not the only one that thinks so

Poor Allison. She looks like she's about to die. ):

She did look stunned. I guess if Vincent had been designing for a man and made him look fat, he'd be gone. Just not right. I just don't get what they see in Vincent.
kikidom
Heidi, must have lost her damn mind for kicking Allison off the show! How could she A) make her ignorant FAT comment and then say that the model looked huge! Huge was the wrong word to use in this case, we were watching it on TV and she didn't look HUGE or like a Plus size model. Actually that would be a good challenge...you might want to try it. B)Keep Vincent, is she afraid that he'll commit suicide and she'd be held as responsible? C) Keep ANGELA and kick poor Allison off? It just didn't make any sense. Jeffery will NEVER win and Heidi needs to be a little bit more thoughtful when she speaks...the camera was still on... GENIUS. I'm on my honey bunny Mike's side 100%! I'm really disappointed in this show tonight. I know they say that models lack intelligence but Heidi damn near confirmed that stereotype..simple ass Stick! I'll miss you Allison. SEND JEFFERY,ANGELA and VINCENT PACKING!

I'm part of a Navy Wives Group for my husbands boat. We have book clubs, pot lucks, fund raisers, etc... We also have a program we watch every season. PR has been our show since the first season. It has been very obvious that this season is more about personalities and drama (aka good tv) then it is about talent and fashion. After this episode we have decided to drop PR from are viewing list. There are different wives clubs for different sections. My husband is on gold crew and we have around 200 women/ wives in our wives club. Other clubs on our boat and other boats are feeling the same right about now. PR is not worth a second glance. The judges are not to be taken seriously and I myself have lost all respect for them. So long PR you will not be missed.

Oh, come on people. If they didn't keep some people for their entertaining personalities everyone would be complaining about how boring the show is!

I'm sorry if I sound overly redundant with what everyone else is saying, but I'm one of those viewers who created a new username just to express the extreme disappointment I felt with this episode as well as the direction of season 3. I know that with Project Runway judges are ordinarily supposed to judge based on the very current dress they see in front of them, but Vincent has made so many crappy dresses so far that it would be wrong to not take them into consideration, especially when he was compared to Alison who for the most part was in the top tier of ALL the challenges (and should have won at least one of them, in my opinion). There has definitely been some contradiction because you see Robert who was also in the bottom 3 a few times yet he was explicitly forgiven and got to move to the next round; Allison was never granted the same justice. Of course, we don't even need to get started on how much influence the producers of the show have on the judges' decisions. I also hate how season 3 has focused so much more on the personal drama and dialogue between the designers. I mean some of it does add entertainment value, but this has gotten too out of hand and is taking away from the original focus on the fashion and design. It's like Project Runway is becoming one of those cheap reality TV shows.

Vincent speaks in dated 60s sex metaphors. He needs to stop, because it dates him and makes him sound like he doesn't have a vocabulary. Maybe it's nerves...who knows...but he needs to make a conscious effort to update his language.

ive never really paid attention to what he says. except tonight. because it creeped my out and that alone [besides his terrible designs] makes me wonder why the hell hes still here.
what metaphors has he used exactly? [please dont take that has a malicious response. im just wondering so i can look out for it]

Ex: If I remember correctly, he said it turned him on and he got off on it.( We know he did not have a sexually arousing experience watching his dress come down the runway. We know, actually, that he was having a SPIRITUAL experience because he was praying as hard as he could that his model wouldn't fall over because she couldn't WALK in the ridiculous so-called dress.) Done with this show....if the producers are going to tip the scales for "good" tv, maybe they could be more "innovative" and "creative" and a little less obvious about dumping good designers so they can keep the entertaining ones longer...Remember Santino? At least they now have a caveat in the credits owning up to the fact that the "judges" aren't really the judges after all. I guess what made the show a hit in the first place isn't good enough any more....maybe they were just less obvious in the beginning...Bye Project runway..bye....er....auf wiedersehen. I don't understand this incessant need to pick at Laura...I'm thinking there's a touch of jealousy there. She already has a good job and a family. It feels like that might be getting under the skin of those just starting out or who are unhappy in their life...come on she's not that bad...I mean she's no Wendy....

I ADORE Laura! She's been among my favorites from the first challenge. She's still in my top 3 (along with Michael and Allison). I know a lot of folks think her designs are boring, but I love her classy look and impeccable tailoring skills. It really tickles me when she comes out with an (expletive) or two, especially when she's talking about Jeffrey or Vincent.

I love her, too. But her timing was very poor at the end... talking about Vincent's dress when Allison was saying her goodbyes. Of course, as usual, we don't know how this scene was edited, so who's to say what prompted her remark.

It does not matter what prompted her. Her beef should be with the judges and not Vincent. It's not Vincent's fault that they aufed Allison.
soblueyz
This should not be a debate about Alison versus Vincent.

It's crystal clear to me that Kayne's was far worse than either.

My four year old has a Tinkerbell costume that looks just like it. She was begging me to let her wear teal glitter make up too.

I really think he is this year's Santino. Maybe he will surprise us at Fashion Week and have a great show. Most of Santino's stuff was really awful, but he had a vision. I guess Vincen't has a vision, I just think it is out near Pluto or something that no one else can see.

FIRST OF ALL THIS IS NOT THE EASIEST WEBSITE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE. SECOND AFTER TONIGHTS PROJECT RUNWAY I'M SECOND GUESSING AS TO WETHER THIS SHOW SHOULD BE AN EMMY AWARD WINNING SHOW. NOT ONLY DID THE WRONG PERSON WIN BUT THEY SENT THE WRONG PERSON HOME. THEY MADE A COMMENT ABOUT KAYAN MAKES GOOD CLOTHES A BUT THAT SHOULD OF BEEN USED FOR ALLISON AS WELL. VINCENT SHOULD OF WENT HOME HES BEEN IN THE BOTTOM THREE MORE TIMES THAN ALLISON WHICH WAS HER FIRST TIME ON THE BOTTOM THREE. IF THEY ARE GOING TO USE A "BUT" THEY SHOULD OF FOR ALLISON. VINCENTS OUTFIT WAS THE COSTUME TONIGHT MORE THAN ANYONES. IN MY OPION THIS REFLECS ON WHAT THE JUDGES SEE AS STYLE AND THE FACT THAT THEY WOULD RATHER SEE PEOPLE NOT ABLE TO WALK THEN HAVE A BOW IN THEIR HAIR. LAST SEAON SOMEONE WENT HOME BECAUSE IT WAS STIFF AND THEY COULDNT WALK IN IT WELL WHY IS IT DIFFERENT THIS TIME? I THINK THAT THIS SHOULD BE THE FINAL SEASON OR NEW JUDGES ARE TO BE SELECTED. FORGET NINA AND MICHAEL THEIR TIME IS UP. THEY DONT KNOW TASTE ANYMORE AND I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING OF MICHAELS. AFTER WHAT HE DID TO DANNY AND NOW ALLISON. I THINK HE IS IGNORANT, STYLELESS, AND NEEDS TO GO. VINCENT SHOULD OF LEFT PERIOD.

Please do not use all capital letters. it is consiered "shouting" and is also extremely hard to read. Thanks.

I cannot believe Allison went home! I'm just so upset about it. She had more passion and TALENT than any one on the show this season. Regardless, she is already a star and will go very far as a fashion designer. Why is Vincent still on the show?! Have the judges forgotton what this competition is about? Yeah, talent. The guy is a whack job and I think he lost his marbles in the 80s.

Allison, you have a great sense of style, grace and passion for what you do. I cannot wait to see what amazing, beautiful designs you give to the world. Best of luck.
pacey988
I haven't gotten a chance to post up until now, but these are my observations. I was stunned to see the challenge at the outset, making a dress out of recycled materials. Michael again was a surprise. His and Laura's were innovative considering what they had to work with, though I thought Laura's was rather dull looking. Again, as much as I like Vincent, his was really out there and I don't think he is going to last. I agreed with the judges about Alison's, it just did not look very flattering. I really wasn't sure about all of their designs, but I thought that Jeffrey's was very colorful to say the least. I am very sorry for Alison, and even more sorry that Vincent and Laura's argument obscured her exit. I still like Vincent though as much as people may not agree with me. There is a fine line that one must tread in fashion, and I hope that Vincent decides to do something more in tune with a more common vision. This does not mean, however, that he can't take risks or be dull. That's just my opinion, however you want to construe it, but either way, I am just sticking up for him.

REPLACE EVERYONE ON THAT SHOW ACCEPT FOR THE FEW BRILLIANT DESIGNERS.I WISH THIS SHOW WERE LIVE SO WE COULD BRING BACK ALLISON. THE POINTLESS DRAMA IS STUPID AND FOR RATINGS? IF IT WERE REALLY REALITY ALLISON WOULD STILL BE AROUND.AT LEAST PICK DESIGNERS WHO ARE GOOD THAT STIRR DRAMA NOT THOSE THAT ARE STUCK IN THE FREAKIN' 70S AND THOSE THAT CHEAT! AFTER ALLISON WAS BOOTED I WAS JUST FLOORED, LITERALLY FLOORED.I THOUGHT IVE SEEN ALL THE SCANDAL BUT THIS BY FAR IS RIDICULOUS. WELL LETS HOPE RATINGS DROP BECAUSE I KNOW MICHAEL IS TALENTED AND WILL BE IN THE TOP 3 (ALLISON SHOULD HAVE BEEN AS WELL) I JUST DONT WANT SOME PREDICTABLE ENDING HOWEVER SOME OF THE WORSE DESIGNERS ARE STILL THERE, THAT TO ME WAS UNPREDICTABLE.VINCENTS IN THE BOTTOM EVERY WEEK AND IS STILL THERE.THE ONE THAT HAS MORE POTENTIAL THAN MOST IS GONE!?!?

Allison was my favorite to win aside from Michael. She was consistant like uli and michael. How come those that did poorly every week are still around like vincent the man stuck in the brady bunch era? a few of them make disaster garments week after week. allisons outfit doesnt look bad to me.its made out of garbage what do they want? thats not fair, i was watching just for allison.:(she has so much potential. after last week when she had to work with keith the cheater out of the picture, i think shes done pretty darn well and shown she can work under any kind of pressure, any type of circumstances. VINCENT SHOULD HAVE GONE, HES DONE POORLY WEEK AFTER WEEK!!!! Thats no fair for allison, she was in my top 3!!! if they had a vote of who to bring back i can guarantee you it would be allison.i hope she makes it big!!! she got jipped!
FashionPookie
Its so absurd. Allison has consistantly made fashion forward, young-hip wearable outfits. Vincint has consistanlty made horrible, dated just plain what were you thinking outfits. What is going on here? Oh thats right...its realty TV but nothing about it is realty! They take advance from the producers about who should win and who should go? The producers might as well be the judges. The actual judges are just puppets with no self respect. Pay them enough and they'll bark like a dog for you!

Alison never would have made it to the top three anyway....she's too young and doesnt have any experience....get over it....what i wanna know is how the hell michael won....i love jeffrey so obviously im biased but even uli was better than michael.....jeffrey really deserved that...i never expected him to win the show or even a challenge but then when i saw his dress i thought this had to be his.....this show is ridiculously corporate

I'm plus size and I think it's silly for a plus size person (or a normal size person for that fact) to watch a show about runway fashion, where the models are usually size 0, and get sensitive about body image. Of course it's outside the realm of real women, but being able to flatter the female form is pretty much imperative one of being a designer, regardless of the size you're designing for.

Bravo honestly shouldn't have to tiptoe around and pretend that "excess" fat is universally attractive in the fashion world.

You state that very well. I guess the illusion of being different (Daniel V's "orchid" top, Bradley's poofy top( are okay because it's paired with something that shows more accurately the shape of the wearer (the skirts were tight) but Alison made her model shapeless, which is perhaps easy to do because they got so little to begin with and their thinness is all they got (I don't have this problem).
thadgarrison
Kayne lacks talent? No. Is he a big, annoying, flamboyant pageant queen? Yes. Does he have an incredible knack for design and construction? Yes. Calling him untalented is bizarre - he's done nothing but really strong work before tonight.

I agree that Robert is a total bore, Vincent is a lunatic #@$&!* and Angela is a mess.

But Kayne? No.

I wouldn't get too upset about Heidi's comments. One should never lose sight of the fact that she is there because of her looks, not her brains. She is never paid for her brains, even if a judge and I have often thought it odd that no one complained that she was a judge.

I believe Heidi was one of the originators of the entire idea of Project Runway, is one of the producers, and owns a piece of the action.

I don't watch much reality TV, because I can live without the drama, but this show is becoming just what I dislike-a drama filled pool with a bunch of whining designers swimming around while drowning one another to save face. Most of the time I have agreed with the choices that the judges have made, but this one clearly proves that they are being puppeted by the producers so that the show will get an Emmy nom or two once again.

Couldn't disagree with you more. Season 1 was filled with whining, crying drama queens, and Season 2 had only about 4 competent designers. This season has a very strong field of more mature designers who can concentrate on the challenge. They don't whine at each other or burst into tears in the workroom, they just work with fanatical concentration. They just stop to take the occasional swipe at each other when the cameraman is going around collecting sound bites.

And, I don't think for a minute that the producers intervened to influence this desision. Michael Kors is very partial to the good gown-maker, and this may be what saved Kayne. While there is a huge disagreement among the posters here as to whether Vincent's gown was junk or art, few defend Allison's dress. It was an unfortunate disaster and Allison knew it. She did deserve to go, IMO.

Kayne was warned that he just barely made it, and by Michael Kors, no less. And Vincent quietly fought back with Santino-like courage when faced with criticism of his outfit. He was the only one in the bottom 3 who did.

I don't think being young was an issue with Alison, she was very talented and had a very good chance of making it. Jefferey definitely deserved to win, but I don't think Michael's was as bad as Uli's, I'm surprised she got by (it was ugly and not very innovative)

ha ha...me too!

OK. First, why can't I figure out how to start my own post without riding on someone else?

Second, I haven't read all 32 pages of posts so far, so this may have been repeated ad nauseum.....

but, here I go!

Allison got kicked off because she made her model look fat! That is the sole and only reason for her dismissal.

Heidi said, "you made your model look like a plus sized model" She also said to the other judges, "would I rather look overweight or long and slim" And that was why Vincent and his ridiculous, out-of-date, psycho sense of "style" gets to stay and Allison had to go.

I've lived in NYC for the past 6 years, and I will tell you that the women of SoHo and Nolita would be buying Allison's designs. Her styling is innovative and unique. She made a bad call this time.

Vinnie has made some seriously bad choices throughout, and yet he remains. Vincent couldn't sell his crazy crap to anyone.

This show is ticking me off.

I am sorry but I don't get all the outrage about the "big" comments. I am not model thin or anything and not a plus size either so I don't think I have a dog in this fight. (Is that Southern enough for ya'll?) But the fashion world is built on very, very, thin models and that is the way it is. So that is the mindset Heidi was working from. She is known for being one of the very few top models who is NOT bone thin so I don't think she has a prejudice against "fat" people, I just think she is coming from a world where, to model clothes, you have to really be thin and it is virtually a sin to have a model look any different. So, "lighten up, it's just fashion."

I also think being German, she doesn't always use her English in the most elegant way. Things come out more bluntly than a native-English speaker would say them.

I adore Alison and absolutely hate Vincent. That being said, I think Alison's was the worst. Kayne saved himself by making his dress well put together and by the end it looked 1/4 decent. Vincents was ugly sure, but the combo of Alison's dress and hairstyle was too much. I think that dress may have been one of the worst I've seen in all of Project Runway.

How about Project Runway design for plus size models next year - kind of add a new dimension to the show.

Being plus size - i understand the need for not looking any bigger than i am - i'd prefer to look smaller - so i understood what they were trying to say. However, they said it horrendously. Shame on them for not knowing how to be...let's say...tactful.

Those of you who like Jeffery, that's fine and yes his design this week was very innovative, but the reason he didn't win is right there in the show. They want someone whose sellable. Yah they'll keep the characters around for good TV but if you are going to win you need to sell yourself. Micheal does that, Khors has commented on it twice. They're all so negative about season1 winner Jay. They're acting like they learned some sort of lesson...
