Frankly,I love seeing her ribcage. It reminds me of the movie "Alien'.I keep expecting something to burst out....
Yes,she must take Heidi's 'fat' comments to heart...

I am so dissappointed. This show has taken so many wrong turns this season. I used to be a loyal viewer, but now I am not so sure. I'll give it one more episode and if this continues, Auf Wiedersen.

I wouldn't get too upset about Heidi's comments. One should never lose sight of the fact that she is there because of her looks, not her brains. She is never paid for her brains, even if a judge and I have often thought it odd that no one complained that she was a judge.

I believe Heidi of Project Runway, was one of the originators of the entire idea is one of the producers, and owns a piece of the action.

dont get it twisted....you really think she "was one of the originators of the entire idea".....shes not that smart....there is a reason shes a model

I'm part of a Navy Wives Group for my husbands boat. We have book clubs, pot lucks, fund raisers, etc... We also have a program we watch every season. PR has been our show since the first season. It has been very obvious that this season is more about personalities and drama (aka good tv) then it is about talent and fashion. After this episode we have decided to drop PR from are viewing list. There are different wives clubs for different sections. My husband is on gold crew and we have around 200 women/ wives in our wives club. Other clubs on our boat and other boats are feeling the same right about now. PR is not worth a second glance. The judges are not to be taken seriously and I myself have lost all respect for them. So long PR you will not be missed.

Oh, come on people. If they didn't keep some people for their entertaining personalities everyone would be complaining about how boring the show is!

Not if you really enjoy fashion

I seem to remember one of the complaints about this season was that everyone was too good and there was no one like Santino or Andrae to spice it up. I think that season two was the best. I was cracking up every episode.
artisticdoodle
Well, I believe that tonight definitely proves that this season of Project Runway is RIGGED! I mean, Alison = OUT? What the hell were you thinking judges? Oh, I know. RATINGS! DRAMA! LET'S KEEP VINCENT!

For the love of God Vincent should've been kicked out on the first episode, but no. Let's keep the crazy, kooky designer who seems to be on crack most of the time! Our ratings will surely go up! After all our fans will love whatever we do! This shall be the Vincent Show! Hooray! Instant success!

Thank you to the producers of Project Runway. Thank you for your input in the judging and the "scripting of this show". If Vincent makes it into the final three - let alone win - I will surely be one pissed teenager. Who, not to mention has less experience than him, can create ACTUAL clothing that a person can WEAR and LIKE.

Thanks for the injustice.

I'm plus size and I think it's silly for a plus size person (or a normal size person for that fact) to watch a show about runway fashion, where the models are usually size 0, and get sensitive about body image. Of course it's outside the realm of real women, but being able to flatter the female form is pretty much imperative one of being a designer, regardless of the size you're designing for.

Bravo honestly shouldn't have to tiptoe around and pretend that "excess" fat is universally attractive in the fashion world.

I get the feeling that next week's challenge features models that are bigger and may even be the designers mom's. Something about the way Angela reacted like she knew the model. That would be interesting.

no, i think they really went too far with this one. they think they are making alison a sacrificial lamb for good ratings, but i think this one is going to backfire on them. when the flack over this episode has subsided in a few days, i think a lot of fans will be left with a really bad taste in their mouth when thinking about PR and how corporate it has become, instead of being hip and young, like it started out. the show tonight was complete BS..
the final two should of been kayne and vincent with VINCENT being 'out'

I'm extremely bumed out that they chose to eliminate allison because
1. she was my favorite and the main reason why i watched the show
2. she had A GREAT sense of what style is
3. she has SO much potential
and 4. all of her previous outfits were all beautiful and couldn't even be compared to vincents trash.

this episode made me question if i want to keep watching :/

this was by far one of the worst decisions on the judges behalf and i hope they looked back and regreted it.

as for allison, i'm looking forward to seeing her clothes in the future.. shes marvelous.

Being plus size - i understand the need for not looking any bigger than i am - i'd prefer to look smaller - so i understood what they were trying to say. However, they said it horrendously. Shame on them for not knowing how to be...let's say...tactful.

I do agree that H wasn't very tactful. If she wants to be a vocal and public persona, she should probably work on that.
SafetyPinndSally
And your point is?

I will agree that all of the seasons have had their fair share of drama and yet this is the only season where I have plainly noticed someone being robbed in favor of ratings which disgusts me in the highest form.

I don't really care about what Kayne made or who should of won, what I care the most about is the fact that this show is using false advertising just for ratings sake. They claim to have integrity and yet they obviously don't, so they could at least be honest with the loyal viewers and just come out and say that the whole [censored] show is fixed.

Oh and I will continue to watch this show, but it would not shock me if it didn't last much longer, at least ending at season seven or eight.
Jadis
Tim Gun's blog reveals he was just as shocked that she got sent home, the head of Parsons design school even thought this was a wack decision so in your face judges/producers. haha!
Good luck Allison!

I cannot believe Allison went home! I'm just so upset about it. She had more passion and TALENT than any one on the show this season. Regardless, she is already a star and will go very far as a fashion designer. Why is Vincent still on the show?! Have the judges forgotton what this competition is about? Yeah, talent. The guy is a whack job and I think he lost his marbles in the 80s.

Allison, you have a great sense of style, grace and passion for what you do. I cannot wait to see what amazing, beautiful designs you give to the world. Best of luck.

I think someone said it earlier. They think Vincent may have a breakdown very soon and they want to catch it on tv.

Sweetie, you have to quit candy coating and tell us how you REALLY feel.

Allison got sucked into Angela's bubbleskirt fetish, apparently.

I think what has people so upset about the plus size model comment, is that it somewhat implies that heaver people just can't possibly look good in their clothes. Not to mention she said it in front of the model. That showed no class on Heidi's part.

Did anyone get next week's challenge hint? Heidi said something about "real life woman"... So I'm guessing that means a plus sized (normal sized) woman. Ironic given Heidi's apparent revulsion of women over a size 2.

Yes, Vincent's dress was a sack with trash all over it, but if you looked carefully, the lines of the gown were exquisite and the bodice was quite arrestingly cut. In real cloth without the trash doodads, this gown would have been worthy of Laura, Michael, or Kayne. The judges do see something in him, it's just hard for us out in TV land to see it as well.

Michael Kors has mentioned in previous challenges that Vincent's construction is good. For all we know, Allison's construction could have been discussed and we just didn't see it. I still think she should have stayed, though.

I don't watch much reality TV, because I can live without the drama, but this show is becoming just what I dislike-a drama filled pool with a bunch of whining designers swimming around while drowning one another to save face. Most of the time I have agreed with the choices that the judges have made, but this one clearly proves that they are being puppeted by the producers so that the show will get an Emmy nom or two once again.

Couldn't disagree with you more. Season 1 was filled with whining, crying drama queens, and Season 2 had only about 4 competent designers. This season has a very strong field of more mature designers who can concentrate on the challenge. They don't whine at each other or burst into tears in the workroom, they just work with fanatical concentration. They just stop to take the occasional swipe at each other when the cameraman is going around collecting sound bites.

And, I don't think for a minute that the producers intervened to influence this desision. Michael Kors is very partial to the good gown-maker, and this may be what saved Kayne. While there is a huge disagreement among the posters here as to whether Vincent's gown was junk or art, few defend Allison's dress. It was an unfortunate disaster and Allison knew it. She did deserve to go, IMO.

Kayne was warned that he just barely made it, and by Michael Kors, no less. And Vincent quietly fought back with Santino-like courage when faced with criticism of his outfit. He was the only one in the bottom 3 who did.

Once again, FFI, you have noticed something I totally missed: that Vincent fought a Santino-like fight for his dress. Excellent point, and, I think, it's the reason he's still on.

These replies about Heidis comments are getting a tad ridiculous. So lets summerize shall we?

If that model looked plus size, then Heidi is morbidly obese.

yet I myself, im not skinny not fat. Ive got a tiny waist, but i am aware how one certain cut can make my tiny waist look extremely wide and it completely ruins everything.

also, we are NOT seeing this from their prospective [as in IN PERSON].

but still Heidi needs to stfu.

and i also think its unfair that one week someone will win because of a certain style and design then the next week someone will get completely ripped apart by the judges for the same thing. EX: they say somethings are just too plain "a blank canvas" if you will, but then Micheal wins and the judges love his dress because it was SIMPLE.

excuse me? this is wrong.
heatherd22
What were they thinking? I too am a first time blogger, but it took my breath away when they said Allison's name. She is so refreshing with her designs, and Vincent is horrible. What a poor decision based solely on ratings! Boy is this going to backfire, because I for one am finished with Project Runway. Especially after the Plus-sized model comment.
mliz
I did not appreciate Heidi's comment on
Allison's dress making her model look like a "plus-size model"! I would love to see the designers challenged to make clothes for the average American woman, the average American woman is 5'4", 143 pounds, and wears a size 10 or 12 ... one-third of American women wear a size 16 or larger. It would be interesting to see high end couture designs for the actual average woman!

What is brioche?
I'm a little S L O W
Do you think next week is going to be plus size models??
or are they going to put the models in plus size suits??

Poor Alison - I must admit her design was awful sorry
Vincent is crazy
Do you think Laura's dress wording something about nuts
was directed towards Vincent??

Answer me

Harry Winston is a famous NY jeweler. Laura is rich, so presumably has lots of diamonds. A brioche is a bread product, like a croissant (crescent roll). It is puffy and fat. They will NEVER, and I repeat NEVER, do plus sized models so ya'll quit asking for it.
sioned47
First off I cannot for one moment fathom the fact that Allison got kicked off. I have liked everything she has designed so far, and although her outfit for "Waste not Want not" was not the best it was certainly not the worst. I have lost all faith and judgement in the judges themselves. I don't know if I will continue to watch.

Vincent - what is it that makes the judges keep him on. He has been in the bottom three from day ONE. Not one design he has made has been constructed nicely nor are his designs even appealing in an artistic way. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN OFF INSTEAD OF ALLISON, THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME SHE HAS BEEN IN THE BOTTOM THREE and the judges should have taken that into consideration. I think the judges are afraid Vincent is one step away from leaping off the roof of Parsons School and don't want to give him the final prod. I mean that's the only reason I can think that they would keep him over Allison. Please I need to understand. Can anyone honestly say that they have liked any of his designs. The only thing he did that was half way convincing was the challenge for the dog. AAAAGGGGHHHHH!!! Can we be done with him all ready. I now feel the show is rigged.

Jeffrey - Okay I admit Jeffrey can be a jerk at times but I felt that his design should have one over Michael. I have been wowed with everything Michael has designed but felt a little bored this time. Jeffrey's design would have been great even if he didn't paint it. He should have won and I felt bad for him that he was passed over.

Robert - did a great job this time around so I can see why he was saved.

Kane - Like Allson, Kane lost it this time around and made a big blunder. His design was alot worse than Allison's and the judges still saved him because of his previous work.

To wrap up I think we need a re-vote. I have no more confidence in the show and am sorely dissapointed. Poor Allison, I wish you well and I am sorry you got the shaft to save a horrible washed-up designer on the brink of insanity.

Michael Rocks@@@ I love him He really rocks!!!!

Vincent should have left and not Alison!!!

Not only was it a low blow....in its own way, a slam on all of us plus size women who watch the show! I know it's already filmed and so on and so on.....but Bravo...TAKE NOTE!
Jazzie
PS: and would those of you who have bought into the "plus size" comment as being the model is fat, please rethink your statement. My fat little self might take it personal, doncha know! *smile*

Just a comment, in the fashion world i believe a "plus size" model starts at either a size 10 or 12. More than 50% of the women in the U.S are a size 12 or larger (it might be a 14 or larger). As a plus size myself, it always makes me wonder when i go shopping where are all the nice clothes for the majority of us out here???

If a 10 or a 12 is a plus size, what does that make someone who wears a 22 or 24? Yes, I am fat, and yes, I am plus plus, but just what is the technical term for it?
Legion442
I can't help but think that it is because Alison's model looked plus size that brought out such an ugly reaction from Klum and the other judges. The comments were outrageous, and the meanings behind them glaringly obvious-

"To me she looks huge"

"She looks like a plus model, and that's just not flattering at all"

"Would I rather look like a fat mini-mouse, or would I rather look slim and long?"

"We can't believe that a female designer could be so careless with the female form"

This wasn't about Alison's design. This was plus size discrimination plain and simple. Project Runway merely reminded us just how much the plus size woman is hated in this industry.

Alison is very talented and has a bright future ahead of her, but I hope that whatever she does she will remember what happened on this episode tonight and be a designer who is willing to work with women of all shapes and sizes. Not just the waifs.

I agree. The judges must have popped some pills before the show or something. TIM himself made a comment in his blog about how he thought Allison could have won and that Vincent should have been auf'd many times over. They obvisously take in past work/ challenges that the designers have done (which is why Kayne is in) so why is Allison auf'd on her first time being on the bottom 3 and Vincent is still here after being in the bottom group over and over again?! Can anyone say, "Fabricated drama=RATINGS!"

Heidi, must have lost her damn mind for kicking Allison off the show! How could she A) make her ignorant FAT comment and then say that the model looked huge! Huge was the wrong word to use in this case, we were watching it on TV and she didn't look HUGE or like a Plus size model. Actually that would be a good challenge...you might want to try it. B)Keep Vincent, is she afraid that he'll commit suicide and she'd be held responsible? C) Keep ANGELA and kick poor Allison off? It just didn't make any sense. Jeffery did do well tonight but he still will NEVER win and Heidi needs to be a little bit more thoughtful when she speaks...the camera was still on... GENIUS. I'm on my honey bunny Mike's side 100%!
