Absolutely. That's why I'm surprised so many people are down on her. They're unhappy Alison is out but Laura's bad to say it. I agree she shoulda not taken out her annoyance/frustration on Vincent but she felt the same way many of the folks here feel -- people aren't cutting her some slack based on that obvious fact.

I'm not a fan of reality shows at all, but somehow got sucked into project runway. i was really getting into it with this third season, i thought the judges did a pretty good job last season...it was fair and fun to watch.
after tonight though, the show has definitely disapointed me. i don't know why they felt the need to stoop to the level of every other staged reality show. the judges this season have been so inconsistent and it is so OBVIOUS, its just ridiculous. i don't know if michael kors has some sort of secret crush on vincent, but that nutjob should've been out a while ago.
you can't really say that vincent's dress, in real cloth, would've been fabulous without realizing that alison probably would not have been in that situation were it not for the choice of materials. maybe she has less experience with using off-beat fabrics but the judges have been inspired by her designs in the past. i guess they must just feel sorry for vincent. nice excuse.

I too, am reconsidering my interest in Project Runway. I am tired of all the drama that's been going on. Alison seemed like a very nice person and a very talented designer. I have sifted through the last 20 pages or so of posts and I think Heidi was wrong. It also says something about this show when the people on this show think plus size fashion is taboo. I may not know everything about fashion, but I know that just because one person does not represent high end fashion because of her size does not mean that it should be shunned by the fashion industry. I really think that something wrong has gone on here, with Heidi's comments and with Alison's elimination. One final note: I know Vincent is not the most popular designer here. His designs, I agree, are very off the wall and just something that few would wear unless they are very desperate. Yet if I am wrong for sticking up for him, then tell me. If I have wasted all of your time on this board, tell me. If you want me to go away, tell me, because I sincerely apologize if I have wasted any of your time.

I agree what the hell was this!!!!! You wanted to go in and knock someone out, I was fuming spewing at my hubby what CRAP!!!! this was and how the hell they can keep Kayne because he had other successes while Vincent clearly bit the big one everytime he's been up!!!!! If Kayne can stay to redeem his atrocity then the same privilege should have been granted to Allison!!!! Don't get me wrong I do like vincent he does grow on you with his weirdo ways but honestly based on merits of designs he needs to be a packing like last week!!!! I really felt the tears come to my eyes and the lump in my throat; I didn't know how much I liked Allison until tonite.
On another note I would of thought Jeffrey would have won too even though he's a big donkeys...( u fill in the blank), not saying that I didnt love Michaels but there was something about Jeffreys it did look like real fabric and thats about the only thing the judges got right the whole night!!!!
And down to Heidi, oh Heidi, you made so many new enemies; really should watch what you say especially when your not always the best example of High Fashion!!!! Tonite ,yes, cute top and jeans but other weeks it was like "really?" okay whatever floats her boat. And Woman get off the dang color BLACK! will 'ya; what are you trying to hide?!
Ratings guys(spoken to producers), come on now what avenue has the show taken to? Shouldnt it be enough to see the designers, the ones with talent? Integrity my Puerto Rican butte!!!!
Whew! Said a mouth full, sorry first time up here but couldn't resist with the decision being a shameful mockery of what the show is supposed to present!!!!!

I don't think the posts about Heidi's comments are ridiculous at all. We all have a right to our feelings about what goes on, on the show. This just happened to offend some people. Her comments just kinda played into how I personally already feel the fashion industry treats women who aren't a size 2..like it's a sin to look a little heavy......Heidi could have made her point without making the plus size model comment. She could have just said it didn't flatter her models figure. Not to mention it wasn't a good enough reason to kick Allison off the show. Vincent's model couldn't even walk in her dress....
I, for one, am tired of going shopping for clothes, and the nice fabrics, and good looking fashions seem to stop right at the large size sections...I laugh at some of the fabrics that are used for a simple blouse. It's like the minute you gain a few pounds, you don't have any taste. It's insulting.

I just watched the show again and I am convinced that the judges knew what they were going to do before the models even stepped onto the runway. That in itself is enough to make me quit watching. I have been a loyal viewer since season one. Never missed one challenge. when the show is good and appears to be honest, it's great. But they have taken it straight to hell. I hope they're making bags of money, which I am sure they are, but I'm taking my .02 cents out.

i also thought it was strange that kayne got a pass because his design was last minute, but alison didn't. she was first designing that cool looking skirt thing that i guess didn't quite work out, so she had to do something fast at the last minute, too. and yet that totally didn't appear to have been taken into consideration in her case. that kind of inconsistency and favortism in the judging really sucks.

She's no dope, and knows full well that the show has to have some sex appeal to help grab those ratings.
And, not liking the harsh sound of the planned "You're cut," or whatever the original statement was going to be, she came up with the "Auf wiedersehen."

I am sorry but I don't get all the outrage about the "big" comments. I am not model thin or anything and not a plus size either so I don't think I have a dog in this fight. (Is that Southern enough for ya'll?) But the fashion world is built on very, very, thin models and that is the way it is. So that is the mindset Heidi was working from. She is known for being one of the very few top models who is NOT bone thin so I don't think she has a prejudice against "fat" people, I just think she is coming from a world where, to model clothes, you have to really be thin and it is virtually a sin to have a model look any different. So, "lighten up, it's just fashion."
I also think being German, she doesn't always use her English in the most elegant way. Things come out more bluntly than a native-English speaker would say them.
As a decendant of German imigrants (spelling is really off tonight), I can atest to the fact that we can be a rather blunt bunch. She has been here long enough to know how people say things, but she is very blunt, honest, and opinionated. I agree that it probably didn't come out quite right.

Judging on this episode made no sense at all. Jeffery should have won and Kayne should have been booted. Maybe it just didn't come through on TV the way it was in real life, but I really felt the judging was off this time. I'm not a Jeffery fan at all but I do like Micheal and I clearly though Jeffery should have had his win this time. Allison I think they booted just to take the fall for Kayne since his dress was a complete mess so they picked on the blonde girl to save him.

Seriously, i am not trying to rag on him so much as just trying to explain how angry i am over this elimination. and from the looks of it, i am not alone. this show rarely disappoints me with eliminations, but this one time has affected me so much, that i have really lost respect for the show. Tim Gunn even questions their decision!!!!! Please, if a producer is reading this, do all of us fans a huge favor and admit that this is so wrong and bring her back. Alison is on the cutting edge of fashion and i would wear her clothes every day of the week. I cant believe they busted on her for being a female designer and not getting fit right for the female body, but i wouldnt wear the "garment" that vincent made even if it fit like a glove...it was just plain laughable.

He sees Laura as being someone who would even pay money to buy some overly priced diamonds and use them as nose jewellery.
I believe, as one of Vincent's generation, that he would not say where he really meant for her to stick her jewelry. Apparently (according to Robert) she makes no secret of the fact that she has tons of cash.

Ok. I know Laura has ONE actual boobie cuz I just saw it popping out while she berated Vincent about his model not walking. WHY is she such a b****? She is like a dog with a bone who just will NOT let things go. Loved the remark that her dress was something she would wear. Uh, duh. ALL her dresses look the same and are something she would wear. Slashed to the waist empire style I AM AN ARCHITECT plain. We get it. Move on. Stop building A frames and branch out a bit. Maybe a little duplex next time.
Jeffrey. Talent but oh my. Is he always that nasty? He does not have one single nice thing to say about ANYBODY ever. As I watch him week after week making his nasty snide remarks about everyone else I think: Who in the business will ever really want to work with someone like that? Does he not get fashion is a business and making nice, the old iron fist in a velvet glove, will get you further. Just a nasty piece of work. Must be very insecure to be so mean. Probaly the old big neck small penis syndrome.
Michael is in a groove. Flew under the radar early. But consistently talented wonderful outfits. He glides above the storm clouds. He knows how to play nice in the sandbox while Laura and Jeffrey are wacking it out. And I just know he is nice to his Mom.
Kayne and Robert are the cutest couple and need to set up their own Barbie Pagent/Wedding shop thing going. They would be the perfect next Bagdley Mischca.
Angela shut up. You are too old to be dressing like you are in high school and your vocal enthusiasm everytime and OMG faces at each challenge are wearing thin. Gosh golly gee. Unless the next challenge is the angel Gabriel announcing it is to dress the VIrgin Mary in new Annuciation gowns nothing calls for that face at the reveal.
Allison was vanilla. Sweet but no mocha almond coffee. Yes she will be designing stuff with cute matching headbands somewhere else. But you will not be missing her at the end.
Vincent is crazy like a fox. We have all talked about how he seems on the edge of a breakdown. But he is just a menopausal guy with that little fidget going. His meds are working fine and I think we will not see the meltdown we are all expecting. I think he is guy who is giving it one last shot but is missing his kids. He would work better if towards the end of the challenge the door opened and his family piled in and brought wine and mucnhies and "oh gosh dad that is cool" and he could talk and laugh. I think he is probably fun at dinner. And unlike Laura would not shoot you when you did NOT eat the vegetables SHE chose for you.
I think Laura is having her 6th baby to replace the others she left out for the wolves when they did not adhere to her strict standards.
And just WHO do we think this is referring to? Guess anyone?
Ben Widdicome NYDaily News Blind Item:
"Which fashionable reality-show contestant recently made it with that closeted actor who has very specific oral specifications ?"
I did not cut ONE WORD out of this quote because the entire thing deserves re-reading. Hilarious! Great job.

This was the most disappointing show ever. First off, I think Jeff's design was extremely appealing and very different...it was the one dress that could be remembered. I can't believe that Alison was kicked off. Kayne's dress was horrific as well as Vincent's. Kayne's dress was an eyesore and was a mess. Alison's dress showed innovation. I think that the judges had a really hard time with Alison's dress because they thought it made the model look fat. So apparantly in this world it is worse to look FAT than to look like last night's "leftover" keylime pie wrapped in aluminum. I can't even pay attention to Heidi's comments about the "plus size" thing. Afterall, she thought Vincent's dress wasn't the worst----now that's crossing the loony line! Alison is a talented designer who has always shown promise....but her past outfits weren't even considered!!! Yet they considered Kayne's past work when scoring his atrocity....so so so so disappointing!!!
