"Jeffery's outfit looked like a bad version of what Dave Nevaro and Tommy Lee wears...so how is that any different than Micheals outfit looking like Puff or Jay Z. I think I'm just saying it could have gone either way IMO. "

Good point. I did think of that later. I think his color choice for the jacket and that weird thing with the jeweled fly sort of set it apart.
By the same token, the tie things on Michael's pants sort of set his apart. I think the producers gave it to Jeffrey out of pity. Ya think maybe?

Kayne was so great in the beginning and one of my favorites. What has happened to him? :-(

To me, Jeff's Rock Star Hip is the same as Kayne's Hillbilly Hip. Both would have a limited clientele, but a valid one.

Now, Michael's is truly hip... modern, original but still classy.

Uli's is just what we've alway's seen from her.
Same with Laura's.

But both are good enough to stay.

Will tacky trump boring?

hmmmm.....

It usually does!

Another example of the judging inconsistancy.... Why did Katherine get auf'd for being boring but not Vincent this week. I just don't get it.

from what I could tell, it was very well constructed & fit well. Even though they didn't say it, it may be because he had never done men's wear before. I really liked it. Looked very comfortable for travel. I agree with whoever said they could see George Clooney in it.

I just have to point out Jeffies major problem, he has no chin! I'm sure this has caused many to taunt him over the years which in turn has made him nasty, jealous and small. The Tattoo does not hide this, although I think he thinks it does. Angela may have been a rube but she had a chin. Maybe if he wins he can buy a visit to Dr 90210.

Hmmm... he adds tattoos to cover up his inadequacy chin-wise. And he added crotch bling because.......:-)

Tacky. I'm gay and you do not insult the jewelry. Not a good post.

It's in the Bonus Videos. Tim tells Jeffrey he has immunity for winning this challenge.

Where are the bonus videos located parlez-vous ? merci
KGWATCHER
Hi all,

Just jumping in to agree with Gltyplsrseekr and Tamarinden. I always watch the bonus videos and exit interviews each week before jumping to the boards. I was truly impressed with the classy way that Angela handled her aufing. She said she knew before leaving NYC that it was her time and had already said her goodbyes prior to the (in my opinion) anti-climatic and rude au revoir in Parsons Paris. I think it was really cruel of the producers to take the designers on a long flight just to send one of them home. I believe the decision had already been made regardless if the guest judge agreed or not - it was Angela's time to go, so why put her through all that? She handled it with grace and dignity. She said she was glad that Jeffrey had finally won because his outfit was worthy, and she believed he needed the validation of the judges. She also believes that a lot of his posturing comes from his feelings of insecurity. I know this is true from personal experience; there's always one in every office or family who feels the need to put others down in order to build himself up. Jeffrey may have talent, but his people skills are sadly lacking. This show is all about finding the next great American designer, and Jeffrey's audience is limited at best. I hope that Michael, Laura and Uli step up to the plate in the next few weeks!

Kayne's was tasteless, he could've worn his to a high class party and been hailed as Elvis redux-period-its a joke garment. Vincent could have worn his to any chichi party and he'd have fit in as a sophisticate. Vincent actully does have talent. Laura sews well and has some design sense. Jeff is churlish but talented. Uli is a one-note tune (a beautiful, lyrical note, but only one note). Michael wins it all. Kayne or Uli aufed next...

Kayne has had his head in the vicinity of the chopping block for three episodes now. He started strong and then just petered out, sad to say. Five bucks says he's auf'd next.

Robert was given 3 chances and he didn't wow the judges...I think Kayne has a very good chance of going next. This was only Uli's first time being told it was too "one-note".
tamarinden
Quote:

Quote:

Has anyone seen Angela's exit interview. It showed her to be a graceful and kind person that I truly felt that she is.

She addressed many issues including first perceptions of her and seemingly her own culpability.

She said that the criticisms on her garmet were right and that the garment was NOT fabulous. She said that she knew it would be her to leave and the garment was the one thing she felt bad about that she designed.

She said that made her goodbyes to Laura, Michael and Kane.

She said Jeffrey should have won this time and that he has gotten dogged and that he wanted to be validated. She said she is glad he won, and that he did a "bang up " outfit.

She showed true grace and breeding and made me proud that I supported her because to me its how you get there that is far more important than where you end up.

Bien dit! Dites merci!

I think the dull and tasteless writers of this board that feel sorry for Angela and trashmouth Vincent need to be voted off, or tossed off the airplane. Last night's challenge was pure karma, in that Angela and her nut-job mom both conspired to do a number on Jeffrey in the previous challenge and she has now truly reaped what she has sewed. The repulsive self satisfied Angela lacks any introspective criticality, and anyone who thinks her Macy's outfit was better than the Kieth/Alison/Jeffrey collaboration obviously hadn't thought through the logic that Project Runway didn't want to embarrass their sponsor by having the winning outfit designed by someone ejected for cheating.

The only thing that could have made last night's episode better is if they had also kicked off "Mark of Kayne," the tattler who ratted Kieth out, as well. This was his second "Pass" and I hope he's next.

There is a political correct bias that Michael is profiting from that will ultimately probably win him the competition. I didn't like his urban outfit, and Jeffrey's recycling outfit was much better than his.
This board is too dumb to continue writing.

You are entitled to your opinion. But before you go, let's look at the facts.

1) The infamous velvet bag consigned Angela's mother to Jeffrey.

2)Jeffrey had no problem completing his own very structured and complicatingly embellished three piece ensemble for himself in the time frame. Sure, he probably makes his own clothing so fitting is no difficulty, but there was a world of difference between what he did in other challenges and what he did for Darlene. He is probably typical of designers who design well when the model/customer matches their own aesthetic. Look at the number of designers that simply refuse to make anything larger than a size 10 or 12.

3)Take a look at the Bravo Preview for the next Episode. Jeffrey's popping on his loud shaver right in front of a sleeping/dozing Vincent(?), is passive-aggressive behavior at its finest. So is Vincent Jeffrey's next target for the designer in his mind not worthy to continue competing? Does he have to pick on "lesser beings"in order to boost his own sense of self? As someone on the receiving end of such behavior--a lesser being--during most of my many years ago, from what I've seen of Jeffrey on PR3, he is a bully, a put-downer.
And he seems more happy at Angela's aufing than winning and getting immunity.

Hopefully drama will move from personalities and back to design, fashion, and lots of Paris!!

Cindy, I'm sure it was accidental, but from the way you cut out the second quote, you made it look as though dcjewbear made the tasteless comments you are disagreeing with, since your post shows as responding to him. In fact, you cut out bear's own comments disagreeing with the underlying, offensive tone of the original poster.

And finally, some haiku:

Jeffrey's rhinestoned crotch,
Trendy look or quite bad taste?
The judges loved it.

Kayne's "Elvis" jacket,
Is this really high fashion?
The judges thought not.

Uli's patterned dress,
Is she really a one-note?
The judges hint so.

Laura is preggers,
No more rack o' ribs dresses.
Now belly will show.

Michael's hip hop look,
A stunning vision in white.
Better and better!

Vincent's shirt and pants,
Oddly boring and normal.
At least they fit well.

Angela's brown pants,
A wrinkled mess with rosettes
On her BUTT? Oh, yuck!

Tim Gunn in Paris,
How fitting it seemed to me.
Such a stylish man.

Thank you, FF1!

I have finally read all the posts and am really amazed just how nasty some are. What's the deal? I am sure there are other battles being waged on the show besides the Angela/Jeffrey thing but the editors have just cut that stuff out, example Laura mouth at times.
Although I do not approve of some of the behaviour I just look at it as two adults(?) not getting along in the Project Runway sandbox. Hope it will stop now.

According to the Bravoverse peek into the future, Darth Jeffer will now turn his razorsaber on crazywaves setting back onto Senator Vincerino's brain. Since Darth Jeffer discovered that the Senator left his protective aluminum lined basket hat in his suite on Atlas star while hurriedly packing to make it in time to the Delta Ship to travel to Planet Paris, Darth Jeffer has seen his chance to take down another senator in his bid to destroy the Galactic Fashion Senate.

I am hoping that the final three are Laura, Vincent and Jeffrey. I didn't like Jeffrey until everyone started attacking him, and his style isn't mine, but I can see that he has talent and viewpoint that he puts into his clothes. Laura is hands down, always good. Vincent is a bit shaky, but better him than Michael. And I agree that Kayne and Uli will probably not make it beyond the next two episodes.

Just watched all the bonus video and yes, Tim said Jeff had immunity. The Vincent/shirt thing really cracked me up. Threatening to quit over his laundry...sheesh!

My favorite, favorite video though was Jeff asking all the other designers what's a fluerschon (sp?) I was laughing so hard at Uli and her story that they are like cockroaches and are starting to make her aggresive. Too funny!

As I remember Heidi announced that there would be no immunity with this challenge. I would find that if there was it would be unusual because now were are down to the nitty gritty and it is a matter of getting rid of people "not worthy" of going on.

This next lil gem just made me all warm inside...

The next piece of literary magic is goose bumb worthy...

"There is a political correct bias that Michael is profiting from that will ultimately probably win him the competition. I didn't like his urban outfit, and Jeffrey's recycling outfit was much better than his."

I think Laura and Uli have been told by the judges when they were evaluating their garments, they had better add some new ideas and stay away from the signature designs. Laura did a garment differently this past challenge, even though she still had a high waist. Uli was told in this challenge. I felt it was a poor time to tell her because she was designing for herself but then? I think this was their only time left to hit on that. I think (geeze I am thinking again, oh me) they were letting them know either change or you are out.
I liked Vincent's outfit for traveling although it was pretty boring but it was comfortable and would not show stains from spills. I wondered about Michaels choice of color on his hip hop outfit. No one travels in white because of the spills. Laura's outfilt was also a candidate for spills and stains. I also agree it washed out her skin tone. Should have been blue or something else. Jeff's outfit was totally rock star and a good choice of color. As for the crotch rinestones seen that before on rock stars so that did not surprise me. Someone commented on the rinestones on his shirt. You can buy that stuff already done by the yard but don't know if he did that. Kayne's choice of color, black, was good and his fabric choice was also good. I personally did not think it was all that Elvis like. I mean an Elvis costume that the judges said. Elvis very seldom appeared without a cape in his outfits or in total leather. Did I like the outfit no not really but for traveling it was right on.

Michael is going to win because he is black?????????????? What kind of mess is that? Why can't he win because he is talented. I guess every white contestant wins because they are white. I have heard it all. Jay won because he is white. Chloe won because of her face. If that is the case. Project Runway is the most racist show then. Give me break. Michael is talented and a good designer, nothing more nothing less. If he wins is because he deserves to win. If Michael does win, what is wrong with that. He could be a role model among the black community, showing that you can achieve your dreams.

Hi Swiss
Have you been to Graceland and gone through the museum with his (Elvis) costumes? It was many years ago but I went. Most of those costumes are not leather. He wore black leather in that comeback show in Hawaii. He also was not as large as everyone thought there at the end. They had his last stage costume there. I think his face was just so bloated that people thought he was fat also.
Kayne had the style of those costumes but not the total flavor lol.
I have also been to the Liberace museum in Vegas. Now those are some really out there costumes and he was not all that large of a person either. They are fabulous though.
