Welcome to the BravoTV.com message boards thread for Project Runway Episode 308: High Flying Fashion! As you may have heard at the end of Tim's Podcast last week, our designers are going to be taking a little trip this week...
Here's a hint about where they're going: if you've been an observant viewer of the previous episodes' Bonus Videos in our video player, you will have seen Robert sing a song all about tonight's destination. (What a shame he got auf'd last week and couldn't join them on this trip!)
Finally, I should mention that the Bravo "vote" question tonight is going to be rather different than our usual questions, the voting will be continuing this week and next week, and the results will not be revealed until later this season. It's a question that should be sure to inspire some good debates!
Enjoy the show, and au revoir! ;-)

So did Andy ever post a response on his blog about Tim or Heidi's reaction to Kathy Najimy's post?

Hi, everybody! Inquiring minds and newbies need to know about “Da Rules”.
"DA RULES"
All message boards have either formal written rules, unwritten rules, or both. Some general, common-sense "unwritten" rules have evolved on these PW boards. While no poster here has the authority to impose "rules" on everybody else, “Da Rules” below capture the sense of the PW boards regarding what will help everybody have a positive experience here. You aren't "required" to follow them. But it would be great if you could.
1. The Golden Rule: Play nice. Be courteous and try not to get personal.
2. Jumping into the Conversation: Please read back a few pages to get up to speed before joining in. Generally, two pages back is enough.
Important Exception: If you are reading down the board to catch up and you are reading posts which are hours or even days old, please don’t respond to anything that annoys you without reading further. This is important to avoid rekindling the occasional flare-up. On these boards, when you reply to or quote someone, your post gets dumped at the very bottom, smack in the middle of the current conversation. But, if you read several pages more, you might find that the issue has already been discussed, squabbled over, clarified, apologized for and/or resolved and that folks have moved on.
3. Spoiler Alerts: Try to be considerate of those who prefer not to know the episode’s outcome before it airs. Also try to be considerate of Bravo and PR, the nice people who host this board, who have a huge economic interest in maintaining the suspense. Please put all spoilers on the separate “Washington Post Spoiler” board and then discuss them freely over there. It’s ok to mention that you’ve posted a spoiler on the spoiler board for anyone who cares to read it, but please don’t give away the punch line here!
Exception: Any promos, teasers, hints, etc. deliberately disclosed by PR or Bravo are not spoilers. Also not a spoiler is anything Tim Gunn or Heidi Klum says on Jay Leno, the Today Show, etc. These tidbits are being given out voluntarily and, thus, are fair game to be dissected and analyzed here with glee.
4. Off Topic Posts: As the new episode approaches and there isn’t much more to say about the old episode, folks tend to go off topic a little. Please type “OT” or “***off topic*** at the beginning of your post so that others can skip it if they prefer.
5. The Second Golden Rule: Keep it clean. And perhaps even funny.
Make it work. Carry on!

Andy's Blog -- the producer, he writes one of the PR blogs. After the recycling challenge, many were upset about the 'zaftig' comments; Kathy Najimy wrote Andy an email and he published it. I think it is well written, I hope that everyone on staff at PR reads it.

It will be pretty interesting to follow that way. I did it last week, when we were in Connecticut for one day with no Bravo. Stopped at a Dunkin' Donuts in town and my son, who was playing a game on his laptop, informed me that his laptop's software had found an unprotected network and was asking him if he wanted to log on. I made him do it, and we promptly dialed up the boards to get a blow-by-blow of the episode as we were driving. Whenever his laptop told him we were near another unprotected network, he logged on and got the most recent board posts for me.
Talk about being a PR crack monkey! The rerun awaited me at home, yet I had to read about it all the way down the pike!

After last weeks fiasco, I'm only planning to watch the last 10 minutes of the show to see the fashion. I don't need to see the drama and the back stabbing. Let me know when the show becomes about fashion again.

Not to state the obvious, but:
I guess every episode has to have some catch that automatically puts one group at a disadvantage. This time, it's the men. All the women already have experience designing for women, so they don't have to learn new skills. But the men (like Vincent has already said of himself twice) don't necessarily have any experience with men's clothes.
Now, if Keith were still here, those cheat books could really help him.

Ah yes, but wasnt mens fashion his thing anyway?
Also, I've made both male and female pants and the patterns are not that different, I dont know why vincent is being such a whinner about it. Now Jeffrey, see he's can make the clothes and pick on Angela all at once.

So, the designers themselves are the jetsetters, and all the men but Jeffrey seem to be dubious about how to design men's clothes. Kayne's black jacket will have a back and one sleeve of a blue and magenta fabric that looks like a dead moth's wing blown up large, reminiscent of his first skirt in the recycling challenge. Can we say "auf-worthy"?
Man, they only gave about 15 seconds to the Mood fabric selection, then cut directly to the workroom. This looks like it is going to be the ultimate Angela-Jeffrey snark fest! Ooooh, I can hardly wait to see who gets bloodied the most. Both seem to be in such fine fettle.
And the teaser showed Kayne naked from the waist up at his sewing machine. Gads. I thought Vincent in his underdrawers was creepy, now this? Clearly the show is going to break all records for skin and skivvies, as well.

Speaking of skin and skivvies, Laura in a tight midriff T showing off her prego belly is even grosser than Vincent in undies or Kayne topless. I'd rather she go back to her trademark plunging necklines.

Good, I was worried it might bode ill for her. But seeing the designs so far, I'm not worried.
I hate to say that Jeff's looks great, one of the best. But, I can't really see Robert's yet. It's nice to have a fun challenge after last week, isn't it?

What is up with the jeffery bashing on this show? Are they trying to make him out to be a bad guy cause I don't see it. I mean..I watched last season and hated hated HATED Santino. Ironically this season I'm finding I'm hating angela just cause...I get the impression she is trying to find ways other then out designing her co designers. I mean first it was with vincent...she totally refused to help..and then her mom is like plotting with her to take out Jeffery..and I don't care what anyone says..saying purple and then not purple...she was the only one (that I saw) who questioned the designer at all...why? Because apparently in that family the only way to get anywhere in life is to stab people in the back.....*takes a breath* okay mebee thats a bit extreme...I just REALLY dislike the way Angela has presented herself....and I mean....I get a feeling about people...I have for most of my life..and I'm usually right...and with Angela..I get a wierd cheater vibe...not like the guy who got kicked off...but something about her isn't quite right..Time will tell I suppose

Sometimes the one who over does it with the "I'm going to win this challenge" gets sent home. Jeffrey perhaps? As usual, he's cutting on Kayne and others and is acting like the win is his. It does look like Kayne's is a bit tacky though.

She's not only annoying and backstabbing, she cant design to save her life. If the rossettes on the ass dont convince her fans that she's fashion challenged then I dont know what will.

I don't think jeff has a big head...the impression I get is he simply does not like to be disrespected...I haven't seen him just go off on someone without being provoked... I mean if roles were reversed and angela was a guy and he was a girl...would we still feel the same way?..
