Oops! One more pointer. If you remove material because you don't wish to re-quote it, it's a good idea to also remove the "quote" in brackets from the front end for each complete message you're deleting, as well as the "/quote" at the end of the individual message. Otherwise, everything winds up indented further than it needs to be.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh! Thanks again!

Ummm....is there an underlying joke here or am I reading into this because following this particular thread is a whole lot more humorous then I think it's meant to be ~chuckle~
No jokes intended. I had merely noticed that some folks were having problems with the Quote function, making it difficult to separate new messages from material being quoted, and I offered my tutorial services and was accepted.
It's all a selfish ploy on my part to make it easier for me to scan the postings! >snigger<

One in particular that stands out is Bradley's hideous gold balloon blouse (still can't figure out what the judges, especially MK where smoking that night...wow! He actually thought THAT was flattering on the model????) and blue skirt. He didn't even bother ot press his darts!!
loved it
as did Nina
MK was not there. Vera Wang was.
I can see why this one was confusing.....Vera's pic is in the episode. Ivana Trump judged this one along with Nina and MK.....the dog show.
Vera Wang was the judge on this show, I remember because she made a comment about how well the colors went together and it was a all female judging. I thought that perhaps if MK had been present he would have looked at Vincent's dress and not just at the dog trying to take it's hat off, which I think all the ladies were looking at.

Hello wl60, D, et al,
I've only been here a few weeks, but one thing I've noticed about posters that turn out to be trolls: They do not introduce themselves to the board when they first start posting. Their first posts seem to fall into two categories; provacatively nasty, or provacatively nice. Sometimes they seem to target other posters to stir up the board. They don't ever seem to come here and say, "hi ya'll, I've been reading your posts and want to join the discussion". I've noticed posters fabricating information to elicit a response, and not necessarily a response from the poster they're quoting or responding to. They hide in the margins, then deliberately post inflammatory opinions, trying to get a rise out of someone, anyone, doesn't matter who, as long as they can get someone going. In fact, I know there's one here now trying to p*ss me off, it ain't gonna work, because I don't talk to people who don't bother to say hello. Oh yeah, D, love the Valium idea! lol

Absolutely right! It's easy to remember that it was an all-female judging panel (Vera Wang, Heidi, Nina, and Ivanka Trump) because Uli had outfitted her dog with the "Hi Ladies" outfit.

Hey AI!
Just been reading a lot the last few days and adding a tidbit here and there. I do agree about some of the posters, I'm coming to see that there are several different types. There is the newbie poster who felt an overwhelming need to vent about an episode which hit close to home. Typically this poster is frustrated by behavior portrayed by a designer and outside of this distinct circle they feel they have no one else that will understand. And you what? IMO, that type of posting is okay. I read it and digest and sometimes I respond. I don't even mind if there are a few expletives because I can read between the lines how passionate they feel.
There are the posters that are so dang funny and witty that I look for thier post just to get a good laugh.
There are the posters that are maybe not so funny but they always impart information or give us helpful hints and I thank them for that 'cause God knows I need all the help I can get.
There are the posters that allow us a glimpse into their personal lives and sometimes substantiate their opinions with shared "real life experiences".
Some posters are eloquent and some are not.
Then there are the posters that seem to be determined to gain as much attention as they can for as long as they can by posting some of the most inflammatory remarks they can think of. And you know what? That's ok too. I just use my remote as I do on the tv and surf on by. I learned a long time ago to not reward a tantrum by paying attention.

(just piggy-backing here ...)
I hope you folks realize that you've created a monster here. Thanks to your recommendations, I watched a good chunk of the TC marathon on Monday, including the finale. The next day I was scouring the web to see if there was a DVD compilation of the first season available (as far as I can tell, there isn't). I found the TC section on Bravo, with all the recipes.
I LOVE to cook. When I retired from Amazon.com in 2003, I thought seriously of going to chef school in San Francisco (California Culinary Academy), but ultimately decided to finish my music degree instead. I've been collecting cookbooks since 1981, and currently have over 2500 in my collection (and I read them like other people read novels).
OK, so I'm hooked on TC. I can't believe I missed the first season (probably because I thought it was going to be just another dumb "reality" show). I'm counting the days until season 2 starts. On Wednesday night, I **dreamt** an entire season of TC, including a bunch of whacko challenges (do a meal based on the color "blue," for example). Tiffany was in it, but got eliminated in epi 4. This is sick! :-)
So I just hope you all are happy! ;-)
Hee hee, got another one. Addictive huh? Did they show the reunion too? Omg, if they didnt, youll love it. Isnt Tom hot? And what did ya think of momotone Katie?
brillke
Katie was absolutely the weakest part of the show (other than being reasonably attractive, I cannot imagine why the producers had her on the show in the first place). I don't remember seeing the reunion -- I may have been taking a short break unpacking (I'm still moving here -- a few boxes each time I visit Seattle and return to Bellingham).
I really hope they release a DVD compilation of the first season, like they have with PR. I missed about half of it on Monday. At least I can get some of the recipes. :-)
NOW I get what you all have been talking about.

I have been afraid to post on this board, as people have been quite vicious.
What I find interesting is that most of the vitriol comes from people who defend Jeffrey. See a connection? I do.
The reason the designers aren't having as much fun this year is because of the bully in the room. Jeffrey's demeanor is dragging everyone down.
Can we respond to the posts and not the posters?

It's become very apparent that even though people call this place a discussion for PR, they talk more about things like Top Chef, weaning puppies and people's acerbic "posting behavior" than the actual topics at hand.
I guess I'll go along for the ride though..'cause AP physics hw sucks.

On a PR topic. does anyone know if there is a decoy show this year? Someone on my quilt list said that there wasn't but didn't say where the info came from. Since there will still be four designers after this week's show AND the runway show will be this Friday (that's right isn't it?) it would seem that there would have to be a decoy designer as in the past. I am an occasional poster. I read a few different PR boards and come to this one only because it's the Bravo board (which, for some reason, makes me think it's special). I like to read the PR-related posts. I occasionally write posts or reply to others' posts. I skip over most of the personal ones because I'm really interested only in reading the PR (and TC) related stuff. I try to avoid flame wars.
I am, however, a Jeffrey defender (I suppose) because I do try to point out that he's not the devil incarnate. I think he's wildly talented and I think he's had a lousy edit. I don't consider myself vicious, however. In fact, many of the posters I enjoy (OK, I'll name one--dcjewbear) are "Jeffrey defenders".
I don't intend this as an insult to anyone. I guess I'm just tired of sitting semi-quietly, reading posts aimed at those of us who simply voice an opinion that is different from the majority.
Vitriol is not exclusive to the pro-Jeffrey camp, BTW.

I actually meant it as a funny term... "could be changing bedpans..." whatever... EVERYONE takes things so personally here..
point is...IMO MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS... probably shouldn't be judging or diagnosing jeffrey (or anyone else for that matter) on a message board...
SNARK SNARK - I apparently just have a different sense of humor...
Sorry Toto.. I guess we're not in Kansas anymore...
Unfortunately, sometimes humor and sarcasm don't come across as they are meant in print. I've gotten in trouble for it a few times at work. Never meant any harm, but my sarcasm/humor was taken literally.

Luz,D etal,
I have been taken to task as well. I will admit I failed "Interpreting Tone 101". I have stated many times that analysing designer's personalities is projective/subjective and is not my cup of tea but I still read posters' opinions, some I enjoy and some I do not, but I would not limit anyone's right to express themselves in this venue. Being a Mom, I always want to say.."Play nice" but I am learning to keep it to myself.

Someone mentioned that it had something to do with shoes (two of them). My idea was that the guest judge was Tamara Mellon from Jimmy Choo. I checked the website and the shoes the model has on in the home page look like the shoes that were sitting in front of Kayne in the preview. Here's the website. . .

Surprisingly!
Anybody have real info about this?

Let's go a step further and guess what the benefits for winning challenges are (not immunity anymore obviously).
This has definitely been stumping me and I really want to know what she means. Maybe it was something from the other two seasons, but I haven't seen those as of yet.
I've thought about this and the only benefit I can think of is that the number of wins by each contestant may be considered in the final decision.

OT : OMG It's sunday already...I'm counting the days, The teasers show's Tim w/ Laura all stressed out..do you think it's really her that's gonna be kicked out?...I find that most of the time, the one's that give comments more than the others is usually the one in the bottom 3

A Prayer For The Stressed
Grant me the Serenity..

Also, help me be careful of the toes I step on today as they may be connected to the @ss I may have to kiss tomorrow.
Help me to give 100% at work...
12% on Monday
23% on Tuesday
20% on Wednesday
40% on Thursday
5% on Friday
And help me remember... When I'm having a really bad day, and it seems that people are trying to piss me off, that it takes 42 muscles to frown, and only 4 to extend my #!% and tell them to %$@!~

And what did ya think of momotone Katie?
brillke
Oh, it wasn't enough that I watched EVERY SINGLE AIRING of Top Chef the first time around...I just HAD to watch every epi of the Marathon, too. Whenever Tiffani would make one of her "faces" my Mother's voice would blast in my head..."do you want your face to FREEZE that way?" God, those pursed lips made me NUTS! BTW, I gotta admit I went to Stephen's website and after catching several typos therein, I just HAD to email him saying how disappointed I was that considering his attention to detail he could let something like that slip by...LOL (tongue planted firmly in cheek)...So, get this, he writes back! (We are, after all, neighbors) and tells me that after viewing the show he realized what an A&&hole he appeared to be and has since done everything possible to change his ways! How cool is that??? Best news for Season Two...No Katie Joel...yaaaay! OMG, could she bore the leaves off an artichoke??? And, yes, that VOICE...arrrghhh!!! Now, Tom, on the other hand...hunka, hunka burnin' love!
Regarding our PR subject matter:
Deserted island = Laura...for sure her husband would send the troops
Vincent's demise...what took soooooo long??? And what was the deal with Heidi's defense of him? Edgy???? I don't think so! Poor Catherine...talk about grace under fire! How did she not slap him upside the head??
Kayne's dress...mea culpa, mea culpa...I looooooved it! Unfortunately, he'll be the next to go.
Uli's dress...been there, done that. I mean, [expletive deleted]-hum, folks. The fabric was gorgeous, but c'mon guys, it's the same thing we've seen, ad nauseum, ad infinitum!. Where's that damn tweed suit??
Michael...I don't want to talk about it....
Laura...I wore that EXACT same dress to a wedding in the 70's...I was the belle of the ball! Classic is Classic.
Jeffery...definitely Santino's EVIL TWIN, without ANY redeeming qualities (including a sense of humor). I totally agree with a couple of previous posters who mentioned his lack of self-esteem. This guy has ISSUES, big time, especially with women.
Well, I guess I've made the most of MY 15 minutes of fame (cuz it's gonna take you that long to read this!) and I do apologize for yakking up a storm! Be gentle, it's my first post!

Or come to a military funeral here in Missouri (or Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa) and see that Kansas church group disrupt the furerals claiming that the military (therefore this country) are out to destroy straight, God-fearing, white Christians.

Not sure. . . it sounds too simple to just have them design evening wear to accompany shoes newly designed by either of them, doesn't it?
BTW, the only benefit of winning previous challenges that I can think of is that they may get an extra perk if they make it to fashion week ???
Well, I'm off to wash hubby's work clothes for tomorrow and then off to beddy bye! Good night all. . .Pleasant thoughts and sweet dreams.

OMG - what about Nick talking about "Shatangy" (?sp) Zulema's alter ego! That was hysterical!

I thought of the hairspray thing too. I was yelling at the TV, turn it upside down and spray hairspray on the underside of those ruffles! *sigh* She didn't hear me. The neighbors did tho.

C, The grandmother I was named after was a minister's daughter! LOL Preachers' kids are always a little wild. My grandmother caused a huge scandal in her little bitty Louisiana town in 1924. She was 16, had never cut her hair, it was down to her knees, and she had it bobbed. At a (horrors) men's barber shop!
