So far, I love it. It's so great seeing the "old guys" and how cute they still look. And I loved seeing my favorite "Greek Mama" and the interactions with the guys. It was nice to reminisce and I hope the magic of these shows can be continued. I don't think anything can quite compare to the first season though because it was so raw and new. Love you guys, keep up the good work!

Shocked and surprised, is the best way to describe how I felt when I saw all of the guys getting surprise visits. I really thought that most of the guys would revert back and they didn't. Congradulations to everyone that was a part of the holiday show. Always awsome!

I LOVED the show!! It was so great to see how the guys (mostly) kept up with their regime! Seeing George K. was especially great, and he and his mom are still top notch sweeties
I was sooooo worried about Adam Z. but he turned out to be the best out of all of them! >>>APPLAUSE<<<< to you, Adam!
On the music video, I loved watching the making of it - watching Thom walk through that club...YOW!! But it was too short and it would have been great to see the guys faces at the end. Oh, Jai did a great job dancing in the club!

OMG...Adam lost weight, and is actually keeping it up. He looked great.
George and his MOM.....how can you not love them. And dude lost the hair, and found a woman...
Butch...can I say DAMN" that boy actually had skin care products , and he is obviously using them. He looked good.
And JOHN.....All I can say is...
"HOT BISCUITS & GRAVY...THAT'S A BEAUTIFUL MAN!"..... did you notice that the camera man loved him too...they kept coming back to him....But I 'm not complaining one bit. I was so happy that that girl said yes when he proposed...but now...I wish she had said "NO"....cause I WANT HIM...and I want him bad

I really thought that George would have been dating the girl who jumped on his bed the night of the party! Maybe that was just a little too forward for him. Everyone looked FABULOUS!
And to anyone reading this that has any push and/or pull on production of this show: I think that it would be really cool if John and Tina actually did have the Fab Five as their "Best Man" at the wedding, Thom should design and plan the whole event, and it should be taped as a special episode! That would be outrageous!!! We would love to see that.

Wow! I had to jump on here and say just how much I've enjoyed this holiday episode. I absolutely love to see whether a make-over sticks or not, and this was a really fun and festive way to do it!
I loved the hip tips sprinkled throughout the show, and all of the nice gifts! The Fab Five are so thoughtful.
And hey - you just KNOW that the Fab Five have to be "best man x5" and that this will be a special episode: Queer Eye for the Straight Groom!
Thanks,

I loved the holiday reunion. I think all shows that do makeovers should follow up with the guests later. This was fabulous as I knew it would be. It's great to just laugh and see people being nice to each other for an hour. (Also, they were on the rerun of Oprah tonight!)
I must say though, I'm SO curious about the ones who were not at the party. lol Did they visit them and they were back to their old ways? Did they not want to be on the show again? What's the story?

Oh my, my, my, my, my where to begin-
Lets see, Thom, Ted, Carson, Kyan and Jai all looked fantastic as usual. The straight guys were incredible.
John: He looked good but what happened to his hair? Its just my opinion but it looked better the first time around. Carson's gift of a Ralph Lauren wedding tuxedo was unbelievable and so like Carson to make sure the guy looks perfect on his wedding day. Can you imagine the Fab 5 as best men? That will be a day they never forget. And how about those squiggley mirrors? I guess he just can't part with those.
George: Geez, I wonder if his old girlfriend is kicking herself square in the you know where by now? Too bad for her - great for Jennifer because he looked great. They made such a cute couple. I thought George was so sweet when he told the guys his experience with them really changed his life for the better. It looked like he was going to tear up. And mama is just the best. To see a relationship like they have is heartwarming. His only faux paux were the wire hangers. Oh well...
Butch: Surprise, surprise he kept up with the program. He still was put together and considering what his apartment looked like before I think he is doing a great job. And Kyan was so thrilled to see all the product he had. Nevermind about the disposable razors. And I had to laugh when Kyan pointed out all the tissue boxes. By the tv, by the computer. Poor Butch.
And then there is Adam! He looked fabulous! He lost 20 lbs and has kept up with the waxing and manicures! Thom was right when he said the house looked almost like he left it. The whole house was amazing. I had to laugh when they got to the bathroom with all the crap in the shower. It had to end up somewhere. I think we all have a room like that in our home. The kids room they redecorated looked fantastic. He deserved the award for best overall.
The show could have easily been a 2 hour special. I especially enjoyed the "best of the worst" clips. I hope they continue with a season end episode like this again. It definately was worth the wait.

My favorite Carson quotes from the show were:

"Lets take a walk down psychopathic lane" and
"Its making me positively moist"
any other favorites?

Loved the holiday episode last nite. Just a few honorable mentions. Not fair showing Thom and the disrobe hip tip again. I was just pulling myself back together from the first go around.
Ted was so funny tonite. I'm glad he is speaking up more. And his hip tip where he is sitting on santa clauses lap was hysterical. And I'm beginning to think if Thom only wore a potato sack (or maybe fig leaf) he would look good in it. He would be able to pull it off because how about that suit tonite? But he got away with it - he looked scrumptious....

It is great. I can't believe John Bargeman still has those roller rink mirrors that Thom absolutely hates (Krabb mirrors from Ikea). Speaking of John Bargeman, when is the wedding day? It will probably be better than Trista and Ryan's wedding.

Having Jai as emcee was a great idea. It allowed him to be more charismatic. He's so cute and deserves more credit than he gets from some critics out there. I loved John B.'s hair now, as well as Kyan's shirt when he visited Butch. Carson was funny when he saw Butch's grooming products nicely lined up on the bathroom shelf and said something like, "I'm feeling a bit moist". LOL. I loved Jai's tip about serving coffee to end a party. The Santa at the end with Ted was so hot! I want him - shirtless Santa, I mean!!!! Shhhh...don't tell Kyan.

December 17, 2003 - 12:49 AM
Shirtless Hot Young Buff Santa could be the sixth member of the Queer Eye team. I know the others each have an area of expertise in which to perform, but this Santa guy's job would be to just sit there shirtless in every episode.

"And hey - you just KNOW that the Fab Five have to be "best man x5" and that this will be a special episode: Queer Eye for the Straight Groom!"
Don't you think though that just seeing some scenes would be better? This is corny, but as much as I think it would be fun and voyeuristic, a small part of me wants to think they said "okay" NOT because of the publicity. That said, I was so proud of the guys too in how they kept it up. I know if someone did my place over, I would try my best to keep it the same (and would probably keep the note on my shirt too) but my bathroom would NOT be organized!

This is a good Idea...
Also, please don't go 'NETWORK' on us and start dilluting the Fab 5 or those they make over. Our Favorites were those shown on this show... Keep those qualities in your candidates, this is what makes this show Emmy Award, People's Choice Winners...
I cried when Thom was talking to the 'newsy' kid about being 'gay' he was SO sensitive with her. I kept saying, Mind your business kid... and stop doing the 'bedroom peak' as so many are want to do these days. Thank you Thom for not answering her 'newsy questions' and keeping it real... Oh my god!! What two great shows!! I could not believe those straight guys and how they, for the most part, kept up their part of the bargains!!! I was shocked at Adam. Wow, did he look great! And John asking the guys to be "best men" at his wedding? How cool is that!!! I was touched by that, and I think they were too!!! Did you see Carson's face when John told him? I think he was trully surprised. And George and his mom, how sweet, and he has a girfriend! And MY GOD, Butch and his skin care products? What more can I say. I think Kyan was thrilled! And the making of the music video right after was so much fun!! I do have to say that I wish the video itself was longer. I loved Jai's dance at the end. He is too cute! And Thom could not have looked more handsome! I just love that guy. I also have to say I think Carson is getting better looking as they go along. I think he looked great in the video. Anyway, as usual I am trully in love with these guys. You know, they were on Oprah yesterday as well, and one of the guys that Kyan made over actually broke down and cried. It was so emotional. I just love the way they really seem to care about all the straight guys they make over.

Very Very Cool!! I really enjoyed this episode. If Bravo had created a survey when the first season was over about Which Straight Guy do you think will be LEAST likely to keep there "new and improved" self together.. my vote would have definately been for ADAM. But he surprised us all. The only disapointing moment of the night for me.. AND i love Thom more than my luggage.. BUT his orange suit was HORRIBLE... Did anyone see Oprah after the show last night? It was probably a rerun - but I hadnt seen it so it was new to me... The audience got to ask the Fab Five a question - and I was thinking if I was there what would I ask them and my first question would be.. Thom will you marry me.. and when he turned me down .. I would ask them WHY do you RUN everywhere.. is that how you stay in shape.. ANYWAY.. THANKS QE for a 2003 filled with Laughs, Great Tips and Love. I wish you continued success in 2004.. Dont ever change....

The show was fantastic, of course. It would have been nice to have updates on all of the straight guys but either the show would have had to be much longer (yay!) or they wouldn't have been able to spend as much quality time with the holiday party "guests". Adam was the clear winner, but snaps for Butch and the other straight guys. I would love to see John and Tina's wedding! George's girlfriend was adorable and a good sport. And Mama.....I love you!! I got a little misty seeing how sweet the guys are with her. Message to TTB: you're a sweetheart. I have no problem sharing Thom with you. That sounded kinky but "it takes a village...."

I am so pleased with the Hoilday reunion. If this episode came out on DVD I would buy it. All the straight guys looked great. Much respect to Adam. John B looked hotter than last time. And to the Fab 5, you are more famous than just about anyone right now.

Did you notice the gift Carson gave to John was a tuxedo from Ralph Lauren Purple Label? Didn't Carson get John a tuxedo at Ralph Lauren when they went there for his episode? I remember Carson specifically saying something about it, and even John trying it on, in conjunction with that pink coat too. Also whay was it in a box, of all things! Tuxedos should go on a hangers (wooden or even better silk) and in a garment bag.
Nonetheless, Carson was supurb as always.

She was a wee bit too OBVIOUS wasn't she...just a wee bit, lol. Like one of George's friend's said at the table, she'd known him for 13 years but was just noticing him (superficially). The guy was a total sweetheart (apparently) for all that time so if she could not love him for who he was inside, then she never really could love him at all.

I enjoyed A Very Queer Eye Holiday. It was great to see John B. and George K. again, as theirs were the more affecting stories from the first set of episodes. I think that John B. looks great with his hair grown out. He's gone from cowboy to metrosexual.
Updates on straight guys who've had the Fab Five treatment should be a regular part of the show. I'd especially like updates on Josh Diaz and John Verdi.

A Double Dose of the Fab 5 last night was great! It was really cool to see how the straight guys have come along. After both the episode and the making of the music video, (and after watching Are You Being Served), I flipped the channels to Letterman and Leno -- both talked about the FAB 5... they are HOT HOT HOT. Besides being on Barbara Walter's top 10, Ted was on Ali & Jack this morning. I am totally on cloud 9!

The reunion special was awesome! The guys did a great job of keeping up with their make-overs, I am so proud of them! Kyan looked so hot, but when doesn't he? I loved the music video too! It seemed like they all had a lot of fun. Jai's got some nice moves! I couldn't help but hear that me and Kyan both have a thing for John Taylor from Duran Duran. I thought it was interesting, but I think Kyan should like me instead! Can't wait for another new episode! I just love the FAB 5!

Ted...there's a new fan in town. I'm your #1 fan and want you to know that you were fabbest of the Fab 5 on last night's show (every show now that I mention it). If I wasn't married with 11 kids, I'd have your baby. I've learned to respect asparagus because of your tutorage and I've also learned to seperate egg whites. On to the "others".
Kyan, as usual the hair and skin were perfection. Not that your's isn't Ted, but I must speak the truth.
Carson, I have that blazer...alas it looks better on you. You have a sense of humor like my own...alas that also looks better on you. (Sigh..)
Jai, you dance divinely and are quite a little hottie yourself. Not as hot as Ted, but then again who is?
Thom, what can I say...the suit! Now I know you all say that straight men should take a chance and have fun...Not that much fun. You are the king of decorating...still trying to find a chofa in California.
Needless to say the straight guys that kept up their looks are to be commended.
George and Mama...nothing but love. You two are my all time favorites. I cry each time I see that episode. By the way, I'm glad you didn't get with the girl who jumped on your bed. The nerve.
John and Tina, can't wait to see the wedding photos, and that tux?! DAMN!
Butch, what can I say, the skin/hair products...I'm vaklempt.
Adam, you deserved the prize. To say that I was shocked is putting it mildly. Everything was just fabulous. Keep up the good work.
I know I'm long winded but one last item. The well to do married straight guys...I just don't care. No seriously, I just don't care. See it's the single construction workers, the single guy working for the sanitation department, the single butcher down the street...these are who I need to see have the makeovers. You know deep down what their apartments and houses are looking like. They deserve them most. Remember the little people. You know I'm right.

It's not that she was being nosey, it's that she is a child and she and other children will naturally have questions. The shame would be to not tacticfully answer the question to the best of your ability. Thom and the boys approached it delicately and handled it well.
I am very proud of my daughter. In school she hears negative comments about being gay. What I teach her is it doesn't matter if you like what someone does or not, you still treat them nice...in short, do unto others as you would have them do unto you. She has seen Thom on my wallpaper and asked one day, "Mom, not meaning to be mean or anything, but is he gay?" and I told her he is. A few days after that, she asked if she could watch QE with me, again I said yes. I think by watching the guys she can see that what she hears about in school is not always true. After watching the first episode, she got up and re-arranged my bedroom, lol! She loves QE now and always asks to watch my tapes. And she loves Carson because he makes her laugh...Jai is her second favorite (Justin Timberlake factor...lordy lord the posters on her wall).
So if a child asks a question, there is a right way to go about it and a wrong way to go about it. Completely ignoring the question is opening them up to what they hear on the streets; taking the time to try to explain it in a way that is appropriate to their understanding will foster understanding for those who are different than themselves.
(I would have put this on the general comments board, but the question was here)
