man, that laura is really a conniving self-serving b!tch. nice way to make unfounded allegations with ZERO evidence that amount to little more than SLANDER. anyone with any decency at all would have confronted jeffrey about it first before whining to Tim. anyone with any integrity would have waited until they had actual EVIDENCE before slandering someone based only on their so-called "gut." laura is threatened by jeffrey's great collection, so she has to try to sabotage him, taking a page right out of angela's playbook. respect level falls to zero. i hope sebelian kicks her pasty white @ss at bryant park.
so i gather you dont like laura. hmmmmm oh well

Kenny Rogers..The Gambler
On a warm summers evenin on a train bound for nowhere,
I met up with the gambler; we were both too tired to sleep.
So we took turns a starin out the window at the darkness
til boredom overtook us, and he began to speak.
He said, son, Ive made a life out of readin peoples faces,
And knowin what their cards were by the way they held their eyes.
So if you dont mind my sayin, I can see youre out of aces.
For a taste of your whiskey Ill give you some advice.
So I handed him my bottle and he drank down my last swallow.
Then he bummed a cigarette and asked me for a light.
And the night got deathly quiet, and his face lost all expression.
Said, if youre gonna play the game, boy, ya gotta learn to play it right.
You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.
Now every gambler knows that the secret to survivin
Is knowin what to throw away and knowing what to keep.
cause every hands a winner and every hands a loser,
And the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep.
So when hed finished speakin, he turned back towards the window,
Crushed out his cigarette and faded off to sleep.
And somewhere in the darkness the gambler, he broke even.
But in his final words I found an ace that I could keep.
You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run.
You never count your money when youre sittin at the table.
Therell be time enough for countin when the dealins done.
You got to know when to hold em, know when to fold em,

jeffery. of coarse he didn't cheat. that's retarded. even if he had someone else sow some of his stuff . . . what does that have to do with the design?
i don't understand why nobody on that show or watching the show has paid attention to the fact that he's designed [censored] for jennifer lopez and lisa marie presley and other celebs.
that is a big deal. perhaps his work was as nice as it was because perhaps he knows what he's doing!
the only reason why anybody doubted him to begin with is because he's clearly the most talented.
that michael guy..all the [censored] he designs is just altered recreations of other peoples fashions and if it turns out that he won . . . then the show will lose all it's credibility.
lauras got 5 kids . . . and i dont believe she worked non stop and just ignored the [censored] out of her kids. that's [censored]. if that's true than she's a one note AND a bad mother!
they had months to work on things and then when tim went to michaels house, he made 1 outfit and had some crappy designs with some sparkly [censored] on the wall. something a street [expletive deleted] would wear. it was so ghetto tacky.
and "zeee oooooley"...i don't know what the judges are looking at but everything she makes is the same thing. they sit there and say, "oh she designed something new and unexpected" and then you look at it...and it's like we're watching a rerun from from last week and the week before and the week before and the week before. give me a friggen break dude!
all this feel good . . . give the minority the prize - not because he deserves it or because of his talent - just give it to him because jeffery's mean and michael is a poor black boy - is friggen rediculous.
i swear, ever since those people in comptan rioted and beat the [censored] out of that white truck driver, it's like all of television is geared to not piss of the black people. why aren't black people insulted by that?

do you understand the concept of "evidence?"
No one has to have evidence in order to bring accusation against another. All citizens have the legal right to accuse an/other citizen(s) of illegal behavior and/or activity. Laura isn't required to show evidence before bringing accusation; our legal system NEVER worked that way, thank goodness, and hopefully NEVER will.
It's good that you feel so passionately about Jeffrey's innocence but don't let it blind you to reality.

You need to stop that garbage right now!
Louisinna whites and Louisanna blacks have a history longer and closer than any of your nasty comments/rant will ever have. So close that when a black person sneezes on one side of town, a white person catches cold on the other. You would know that if, and I repeat if you have ever been there. There are parts of NOLA, where you can't tell the blacks from the whites and whites from the blacks. In fact, a whole lot of the south is that way. SHUT UP.
If anything, Laura was drawn to Michael's southern, gentlemanly manners and he to her southern mannerisms (though not obviously visable at first). She reiminded him of his mom or aunt, sister(?); he reminded her of dad, uncle, brother(?). Are you so jaded you don't see that? The south pretty much got over that civil war thing and has made astounding progress past the turbulent 60's. Yeah, there are still your isolated pockets, but judging by Laura's and Michael's relationship, she was not in any of them.
Get a life, explore America, see the south for yourself. Learn it's history, meet its people. Read a book or two. No condescention there, just a lot of love and mutual respect.
Now, in the words of my mom, from Chattanooga, TN and my dad, Petersburg VA: I sincerely apologize for sounding so harsh, but honey chile, you don't know sh** from shinola. (LOL)
Thanks for bringing that to the table though. Now that its been presented and cleared, desert anyone? Oh look, we have cookies! Eat up ya'll!

I think a lot of people don't understand the mechanics of sewing. The thing that is upsetting is that Jeffrey has fewer sewing skills than Laura to be sure, yet he offered Leather pants and chemise. Leather is the most difficult medium there is to sew properly. It requires industrial grade machinery, which is why you will not see most amateurs using equipment of this calibre. Add to this certain linings and finishings that are way above Jeffrey's observed abilities and Laura realized she is competing against a professional organization.
I am at a loss to explain why Jeffrey was allowed on Project Runway, as he owns a design studio with all the goodies which the others do not.
Put it this way. If you took Jeffrey away from his studio, and his machines, and Laura too, and gave them both a needle and thread and a customer, Jeffrey could not compete with Laura. Laura would be able to design and sew a perfect garment for this person. Jeffrey would not. In the bonus video on Bravo, Jeffrey admit he has not sewn a stitch in 2 years! And he further states he is weak with patterns. Laura is the daughter of a sewing teacher and she has exquisite taste and skills. In an environment such as I describe, she could not lose. It is for this reason I adore her, and I find it sad that the winner would be determined posibly by dint of have access to skilled seamstresses and a design studio.
Tam, how can you say that Jeffrey has fewer sewing skills than Laura? Her mother taught her... He went to school for construction and pattern making... he knew more about the machines in paris... I think you might be making assumptions about Jeffrey... I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.... Yes laura can sew... but, no one has wanted to believe that Jeffrey has a successful business in LA... especially Laura... HE STARTED his business making leather jackets.... He didn't have a staff working for him when he started... please... give the guy a break... you don't know him... or Laura... either do most of us on this board..
you write a lot of things ... like you are the authority here... I guess we'll all see on Weds. ... but jeez... the way you say things like they are the undesputed truth...
I'm sorry, I think it's uncalled for... I realize , however... that it is your opinion... and in the words of Robert... "you are entitled to your wrong opinion" IMHO
I could be wrong, but having sewn all my life, its a hard skill to master. But the biggest thing is that Jeffrey SAID HIMSELF he has not sewn in 2 years, and that he has always been weak in patterns.
Plus people who have seen his work at the Macy's window report that you can see seams and hanging threads.
Just because you like Jeffrey does not mean that you can ignore his own words where he speaks to his sewing skills and his pattern making. Brushing up on them, he never showed particularly good sewing skills as far as finishing during the competition.
If you disagree fine. I could be wrong. So could you.
He also said that he spent some serious time brushing up on his skills before he got there.
He might be a "natural"... I train athletes for a living... there are just "naturals'... and the rest have to work REALLY hard to try to keep up...
you say ... some people saw in Macy's! ... people only see/hear what they want to see/hear... that should be very obvious by now... I have also read other's accounts that said his work was impressive....
I have come to respect Jeffrey's designs... I don't like the way he behaves... he probably wouldn't like me... and I seriously don't think we could hang out...
but,
I think it's entirely possible that he could go back to his place and sew just as Fabulously as Laura... even more so... because he is DOES have a successful business and professional equipment...
Laura designs vintage looking clothing... that's fine... if that's what you like...
but, no one... should act like an authority here... not me...not you... and the flamers... should just be gnored...

The Winner Takes It All - ABBA
I don't wanna talk
About the things we've gone through
Though it's hurting me
Now it's history
I've played all my cards
And that's what you've done too
Nothing more to say
No more ace to play
The winner takes it all
The loser standing small
Beside the victory
That's her destiny
I was in your arms
Thinking I belonged there
I figured it made sense
Building me a fence
Building me a home
Thinking I'd be strong there
But I was a fool
Playing by the rules
The gods may throw a dice
Their minds as cold as ice
And someone way down here
Loses someone dear
The winner takes it all
The loser has to fall
It's simple and it's plain
Why should I complain.
But tell me does she kiss
Like I used to kiss you?
Does it feel the same
When she calls your name?
Somewhere deep inside
You must know I miss you
But what can I say
Rules must be obeyed
The judges will decide
The likes of me abide
Spectators of the show
Always staying low
The game is on again
A lover or a friend
A big thing or a small
The winner takes it all
I don't wanna talk
If it makes you feel sad
And I understand
You've come to shake my hand
I apologize
If it makes you feel bad
Seeing me so tense
No self-confidence
But you see
The winner takes it all
The winner takes it all......

If he has such talent it would have been apparent during PR. It was not. There were several comments on his finishing and everyone agreed that his finishing was not particularly brilliant.
Those are the facts as I have seen them. If I am wrong, I'm wrong, but I have the right to speak and if you and the other Jeffrey supporters think I am full of it, you have the right to post that also.
I'm sorry if I seem like a know-it-all, but I am pretty sure that I know what I am talking about. As I have posted every post, I COULD BE WRONG.
To me it sounds like the Jeffrey contingent is pretty jumpy now. If you don't want to read my posts, dont read 'em.
I just hope you do not think I am a troll cos I am not. I am maybe too opinionated for my own good but its just how I am

========================================
Are you actually stating that she called him on the phone and told him he was "pretty disliked?"
.
Yes, that is exactly what she did. I think she found it funny, but I am at a loss to explain why she did it really. Besides, its not like Jeffrey doesnt realize he is detested. He said he has been shocked by the hatred his behavior has generated in an interview.
. I am not too surprised at anything any of them say ON the program. What I was surprised at that she called him at home after the program had started to be aired. That means she stopped what she was doing and called him up. Maybe she was showing him how people disliked his behaviour, but that is not her job is it???????? .
Will someone please give me the source of the claim that Laura called Jeffrey?

But we all present our opinions as fact at times here. Just take a few of our new friends into consideration. Someone here has said recently, in no uncertain terms, that Laura is a b*tch who deserves to have a miscarriage. Is that supposed to somehow be filtered out as "opinion" as opposed to "fact?"
If so, then what's the criteria for accepting something as "fact" as opposed to "letting something slide" as merely opinion?
Lia
You did not read my post closely. I said nothing about how we accept the information, I stated how it was presented. The writer has no control over how things are accepted, they do have control over how ideas are presented.
I do not for one minute believe that Tam has any personal knowledge of either Jeffrey's or Laura's sewing skills beyond what has been presented on the series. Yet that does not prevent her from making statements to the effect that Jeffrey has poorer sewing skills than Laura on all fabrics under all conditions - even when he has an established business, superior equipment, and has experience sewing garments for celebrities.
While some people may operate under the assumption that everything posted here is an opinion, there are others who look at the tone and the way things are presented to make that determination. I am one of those people in the latter group.

The Winner Takes It All - ABBA
I don't wanna talk
About the things we've gone through
Though it's hurting me
Now it's history
I've played all my cards
And that's what you've done too
Nothing more to say
No more ace to play
The winner takes it all
The loser standing small
Beside the victory
That's her destiny
I was in your arms
Thinking I belonged there
I figured it made sense
Building me a fence
Building me a home
Thinking I'd be strong there
But I was a fool
Playing by the rules
The gods may throw a dice
Their minds as cold as ice
And someone way down here
Loses someone dear
The winner takes it all
The loser has to fall
It's simple and it's plain
Why should I complain.
But tell me does she kiss
Like I used to kiss you?
Does it feel the same
When she calls your name?
Somewhere deep inside
You must know I miss you
But what can I say
Rules must be obeyed
The judges will decide
The likes of me abide
Spectators of the show
Always staying low
The game is on again
A lover or a friend
A big thing or a small
The winner takes it all
I don't wanna talk
If it makes you feel sad
And I understand
You've come to shake my hand
I apologize
If it makes you feel bad
Seeing me so tense
No self-confidence
But you see
The winner takes it all
The winner takes it all......

IronChef, ABBA?!
You are honorary gay!
My fave is "(Gimme Gimme Gimme) A Man After Midnight"
ABBA
"Gimme Gimme Gimme (A Man After Midnight)"
Half past twelve
And I'm watching the late show in my flat all alone
How I hate to spend the evening on my own
Autumn winds
Blowing outside my window as I look around the room
And it makes me so depressed to see the gloom
There's not a soul out there
No one to hear my prayer
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase the shadows away
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day
Movie stars
Find the end of the rainbow, with a fortune to win
It's so different from the world I'm living in
Tired of T.V.
I open the window and I gaze into the night
But there's nothing there to see, no one in sight
There's not a soul out there
No one to hear my prayer
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase the shadows away
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight...
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight...
There's not a soul out there
No one to hear my prayer
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase the shadows away
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Won't somebody help me chase the shadows away
Gimme gimme gimme a man after midnight
Take me through the darkness to the break of the day

man, that laura is really a conniving self-serving b!tch. nice way to make unfounded allegations with ZERO evidence that amount to little more than SLANDER. anyone with any decency at all would have confronted jeffrey about it first before whining to Tim. anyone with any integrity would have waited until they had actual EVIDENCE before slandering someone based only on their so-called "gut." laura is threatened by jeffrey's great collection, so she has to try to sabotage him, taking a page right out of angela's playbook. respect level falls to zero. i hope sebelian kicks her pasty white @ss at bryant park.
umm...investigations are how you gather evidence. How do you know they are unfounded allegations? Uli says some of the work isn't perfect....yet these leather jeans are better than anything they've seen. If he's good on one garment...shouldn't be good in all? Why the inconsistency in the work?
So she confronts him before she goes to Tim...which BTW looks like Tim came in the room before she had a chance to tell jeff. So jeff says the same thing...I didn't do anything wrong. Then she goes to Tim....what is the difference exactly? She was very honorable in telling jeff what she did so he wasn't blindsided.
Why would she be threatened by jeffs collection? Tim is gaga over hers.... how does Angela come into this?
I believe that when the film crew saw what was coming down they called Tim to come into the room and that was why he arrived so promptly, even before Jeffrey had a chance to get back. That's why Laura talked to Tim before she had a chance to confront Jeffrey. You saw Tim in the room already when Jeffrey returned.

courage, lol. she has no courage at all. she saw an attempt to cast doubt on another contestant (who's superiour design skills are threatening her chances to win), and she did it with no evidence and no facts to back up her claims whatsoever. jeffrey almost ALWAYS finished first in the challenges, i remember distinctly him being done while the others were still working on at least a couple of other times. she's talking out of her "serious-ugly" @ss just to try to trash someone. what a sleaze.
If you remember so "distinctly him being done" why don't you list those times? Laura was completely finished with the dog challenge and taking a nap while the others were still working; she finished her first challenge (the coat with the rug/fur collar) and was working on the bling while others were still cutting fabric; she had completely finished her dress (and told Tim so) for the coutour challenge and was just working on the collar; and during the last challenge you saw her dress on the dressform while Jeffrey was still working on the halter of his gown. Since I can be so specific about how she was the one who almost ALWAYS finished first and when she finished first, I am going to challenge you to refute my claims with specifics with regard to Jeffrey.

Sometimes we are not aware of how the ideas we present are taken until someone speaks up. How we respond to that "criticism" speaks volumes about who we are and how willing we are to listen.
