I know what you mean, I wish there were more Angels too, it was so fun when you guys took over for a while, there's nothing like Angel energy! And there are fewer newbies and it isn't as crowded as it used to be. The reason is because of the QE tv & cultural audience. Like many of my posts I'm talking to you and anyone who wants to listen.
A while ago I went through QE websites and checked all the links to other sites, most were gone. There are very few up-to-date active sites (so support them if you can). And very few Boards to choose from. The initial hype is over and we're settling into the next era. There's an unanswerable debate about the ratings having gone down. Only during Season 3 will we know, because it looks like NBC/Bravo finally understands it diluted the ratings with so many reruns.
I've got to say again how much I appreciate this Board. It's a safe place for young people to hang out, a haven for conversation, and my favorite Oprah saying, a soft place to land. All that allows for the best kind of coummunity. A place to express our creativity and humor and share whatever's going on in our lives, or especially what's in our heads or hearts without censoring. And I respect and like and enjoy everyone's posts. How many places can you say that about?
"Human relationships always help us to carry on, because they always presuppose further developments, a future…" No matter what the obstacle, I get up, dust myself off, and say "what's next?" again to borrow from West Wing. I only watch the ones before Sorkin left, remember the Ep when Josh woke up from surgery and whispered that? Man, that show gets me. Anyway, my point being, what ever happens to QE or our guys or this Board, I'm making the most of today and bringing my best game.

The only ones of those that I don't have on tape are John K and Butch, so even though we're not getting the marathon here, I suppose I'm not missing too much.
Just saw the longest ad I've seen for the Australian Queer Eye. The guys seem nice, but nothing compared to the originals. I suppose I should give them a chance, but we'll see.

I'm glad so many other people liked this one too. It's filled with great moments, but especially since it's an unconventional Ep. I'm more a fan of the offbeat rather than #1 & 2's conventionally good looking, but no personality. I mean of course in real life they have personalities, but not on the show for me. John turned out really different than how he appeared on the show if you followed up on Casper's myplace. If not, & you enjoyed the show, forget I said anything. Just a judgment call on my part from afar.
And yea! Sean turned up in the top ten!

While watching the marathon yesterday, every so often I'd see a snippet of something that I didn't recognize. Usually, just a single line or something. I was wondering if perhaps Bravo added stuff. (Which, means they'd also have to take away stuff to get the timing right.)

Unless I'm going daft, which is entirely possible, I didn't notice anything different. I have most of them on tape, so if you remember a line in particular, I'd be happy to look it up.

I've noticed that in several publicity shots. I understand that professionals shoot dozens of rolls, well, depending. But you know how it is trying to take a family picture, you get back the photos from the lab & people are moving, caught blinking, half-smile, Thom's making the V sign behind Jai's head, the usual, so I wonder where all those negatives are? Ooo, let's do a Ocean's Eleven and find the loot.

Yes, it was supposed to be on Dec. 11. I found out two days before that it had been rescheduled. I had the Kyan signed underwear all ready to go! Well, now it's closer to Valentine's Day so ahem if Greg doesn't mind all the more reason to ask for a hug! Also, I'm praying the weather will cooperate that weekend too!

Hmmmm, if they removed the mid hip-tip, maybe they are adding stuff. As I mentioned on another post if I notice anything definite, I'll let you know.

I know it is truly sad that the Kyanites cannot witness the wonderment of "The Tanning Booth again. Oh well, at least in my heart it's No. 1!
This might be old news but I just found this website:
sidewalkstv.com and they had interview video clips of Kyan and Carson from 2003 there. Very nice! Carson admits he thought George K. was a hunk of burning love and Kyan's well I had to replay it a few times cause I really didn't hear what he said the first time! Oh boy, am I in for it in February!

I too voted for the John V. episode. I think all Kyanites probably did! I am ashamed to admit that my tape of that episode is just about worn out! I am keeping my fingers crossed for those DVDs! Or at least a rerun , so I can tape it again!

I was just over at E-bay and someone has one of those huge Thom Pictures that hang over the counter at Pier 1 for sale.
They have it against a door so you can see how big it is. I found it by just typing in his name only. Thought you Thom Wives might be interested...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! I did it! I did it! I did it! I fixed my broken Queer Eye tape!!!!
I couldn't sleep so I thought to myself 'Now what can I do to fill in the time until I'm sleepy? I know, I'll try and fix my broken QE tape. Maybe if I sticky tape the snapped part of film together, I might get it to work.' And it did.
Now I have John K, Chris L and Al D back. I miss a tiny bit about 10 minutes into John, but I think that may be it. I don't know. I haven't watched it all yet. I'll go do that right now. Please pray for me that it works and continues to do so for a long time to come. I'm a bit worried about it.

After watching the marathon last night I switched over to my local PBS channel and "In The Life"-a gay and lesbian newsmagazine was on. I saw they were talking about gays on reality tv so kept the tape in. All of the guys except for Jai are in the segment along with David Collins.
