You go girl! Do you need somebody else to help you guard the boys? I know you want this job all to yourself!
I like punk and alternative too! I just picked up the box set "Left of the dial" with all this 80's alternative bands on it-it's really great!
Okay, back to the first part can I maybe slip some food under the door to Kyan and Greg?!

For buying "Left of the Dial" you get to go in for an hour with a tray of food & champagne. But that's it. And no posers afterwards just to get in; there'll be a quiz.

I did check out the clock out on ebay, it looks really cool!
Well, I did check out pictures of Thom from the Jane Pauley show on a fansite, but i didn't get to watch the show because they dont screen it here in Malaysia. Sigh. I even missed ThomThom on Oprah many moons ago cause I don't have cable either. Even my local tv station that shows QE skips a few episodes...I've yet to watch Lawson C and Wayne Hollander.
Hmm, I have a few faves etched in my mind, such as the Michael Coffino episode, where Thom bends down and shows more than he should, lol! And the Chris Lim epi where Thom's hip tip involved something about threadcounts. I can't be sure, I was rolling all over the place in glee. LOL
But of course I appreciate the talent that man has! He does wonders to every house, even my friends were gawking at the amazing transformation he did to Winston Shih's restaurant. And every single straight guy's homes
Other than that, his great personality's really a turn-on, as is his eye-rolling! I'm a major eye-roller too. I basically like him for being Thom OK, speech over, lol. I could go on forever about Thom and the rest but I'll stop. For now. =D

I'm afraid if Thom held me like he would a baby, he might strain his back and not be able to decorate for a week. Don't be jealous of him holding a baby, that's why God made them so small. I'd be happy with a hug from Thom.

Some Fab Five Info (mostly Kyan):
Can't tell you who told me, but Kyan is filming his first TV commercials for L'Oreal next week (for Highlight Styliste and Vive). Directed by the guy who did 'Unzipped' (the Mizrahi thing). I'm not sure when they'll air, but I'll keep you posted.
Also, the FF (well, at least one of them, I'm assuming all of them) will be in CA this weekend for the Golden Globes, so look out for them.
'I Love the 90s Part Deux' starts airing this coming Sunday on VH1. It's comprised entirely of unused footage from the original series (which Kyan was a commentator on, in case anyone doesn't know), so I think there's probably a good chance he'll appear.

The Fab 5 are the ultimate cure for the crud that passes for most TV. While I am a straight fellow, one of my friends is gay so I do have an open mind. One night there was nothing worth watching so I surfed over to Queer Eye and just starting laughing my tail off. Then I started taking note of the cooking and grooming suggestions given on the show. The Fab 5 are GAY in every sense of the word and their happy exhuberance shines through in every episode. My wife likes the show too. (especially since I do more cooking as I try out some of the wonderful recipes on the show. May you five FABULOUS guys keep on helping us straight guys become gentlemen for many years to come.

Hi! I'm so glad you could join us!! Pull up a chair and join us in a drink! We got martinis, margaritas, champagne, the normal beer, and the most wonderful wine around! Don't like alcohol or too young? I got some Pepsi, some Coca-cola, virgin margaritas and just about any kind of juice you can think of! I also have water if you prefer that.
As for the ratings, I also heard that they were dropping but I think with the recent start of the season and the incredible response to it, I think the ratings are back up.
As for what could happen if the ratings were to drop too low, the show might get canceled. I don't know for sure if that's the standard response to low ratings but I would think it is. We won't let that happen though will we? (I'm expecting a very loud NO! soon)
For all the newbies out there, who do you think is your favorite guy in the Fab 5?

Re: Ratings. It is true the ratings have dropped a lot, but Queer Eye has always been in an interesting position regarding ratings vs. the general success of the show.
Some figures first: the first episode was the highest rated show on Bravo, with 1.6 million. QE still holds the record for highest rated show on Bravo. They reached a peak of around 2.8 million (for the July 28, 2003 episode; I'm too lazy to look up which ep that was right now), but rated consistently in the 1.5-1.7 million range for the first season. The episodes that aired on NBC gained ratings of 6-7 million, which is perfectly respectable for a show of this type and budget. After the initial huge success, the ratings did start to slip, reaching a low of less than half a million by the time the second half of the first season (the episodes that are included as the first season but were filmed later), continuing to fall during the second season.
QE is in an interesting positon, in that its cultural significance and power far exceeds actual ratings success. This is where I would go into a big speech about the many ways that QE is an important, culturally significant show and its impact on gay rights if it wasn't late and I didn't have to be up really early tomorrow, but I probably wouldn't be saying anything all that new. In more measurable terms, QE has commercial power (look at the huge upswing specific brands and products have had as a result of being featured on the show, and the impact QE is credited as having made on shopping habits in the US, particularly mens shopping habits, in general). Relatively speaking, QE has never been a big ratings success, although relatively is a difficult word.
A couple of interesting facts: Queer Eye gets lower ratings than CSPAN in certain key demographics.
Yet it remains Bravo's top rated show.
I could go on and on and I probably will later because there is more to say, and this is far from complete and probably doesn't really answer much. The short answer is, yes the ratings have slipped considerably, but there are many reasons for this and many reasons why this should not sound a death knoll for the show. By Bravo's standards it is far from a flop and advertisers are still willing to throw money at it. I for one am not planning to go into mourning anytime soon.
