Hey, theheartchick! Well, you don't need actually to have a black and white pic to have it black and white.. You can copy the pic you liked and paste it on a Word doc. and then you can change the colors on the pic's Word toolbar by selecting "grey scale", then you can turn a colored pic on a black and white pic... I do this quite often when I want/need to print a photo and only have black ink...And the quality of the photo is really very good! I hope this can be useful to you, hun!

Heeey! Oh well, I just wish I could at least have a friend who's applied to the show, so I could be on his house when the boys went there... Friends and relatives are very lucky too! :-) Geez, I'm so happy the Sony Television bought QE! YAY! Thanks to them I can watch the boys on every Sunday!
Mmm... I have pretty close Taurean friends, but few Virgo friends too! *looks at the ceiling, thinking* Geez, I wonder why! :-) I used to have a friend in highschool who was a Virgo, but it's been so long since the last time we spoke, so I think it doesn't count... I had a Scorpio friend for 12 years, but she really disappointed me and even after all this time, we're no longer friends anymore.. She started to act pretty jealous and for someone who was there for me, just like her mom and family, during my hardest times in childhood, I guess she shouldn't have treated me the way she did, but it's past now, I hope she's happy...! *smile*

I've painted a picture once, not that good since I like to draw in black and white too... Sometimes I think that when you put color in your painting, it just doesn't get so good as it should be if it was in black and white... I think that a black and white drawing really makes it look more detailed, because you can give the person who's seeing your sketches an 'idea' about what the colors were supposed to be, but it's all up to the person him/herself...

P.S: Oh, and if you use that tool I told you, by copying the pic and pasting to a Word doc. you can also enlarge the pic in wich size you want to, I do that sometimes too, when a pic's so small and I loved it so much, so I enlarge it and turn it on a black and white pic, when I have/want to! think i said this before, but -- NC was my favorite childhood state of residence. nice seasons, usually. no hurricanes when i lived there. houston -- reg summertime activity (along w/ the big sweats) is charting storms in the gulf. what a nice thing to have in common! almost as nice as joining the confederacy!

We're almost balmy here at 36 degrees, ten am. AAGGHHH!!! I'm in the mountains of NC. Very pretty, but the weather and I don't agree. I did live in the Piedmont for a few years - Durham - and although I didn't like Durham, I loved the weather. Shorts till November, things start blooming in February. Here I've seen snow in late May.

About my meeting the fab five... Actually, there's not much to tell. It was last February, and the fab five were doing a book tour for the QE book. At the time I was a senior in high school (I'm now in college). Anyway, I read somewhere, I forget where, that the fab five were going to be signing books in NYC during my school's February vacation. As luck would have it, I happen to have some relatives in NY and I arranged to stay with them over school vacation. So my Dad, who was unemployed and had nothing better to do, and I drove down to NY, and stayed with the relatives. The next day we took the train into Manhattan to go to the book signing. We arrived like three hours early so I was one of the first people in line for the book signing. There was a lot of screaming when the fab five walked in. There wasn't any question and answer session or anything like that. The boys simply came in, had their pictures taken by the press and everyone else, then sat down and got down to buisness of signing books. I did manage to tell Thom, however, that they inspired me to come out as a lesbian. I believe Thom's response was "Oh my God." I told Jai that I loved the QE CD. At that point, my book was signed and the lady in charge was looking for it's owner. I did, however, see Kyan paying attention to what I was telling Thom and Jai, and I did see Carson whispering something to Ted, so I assumed my story had travelled down the line and that all five boys knew that they had inspired my coming out as gay.

Not much to tell?! That was great! They've been quoted lots of times that one of, if not the most, meaningful things the show's done for them is when they meet kids who've told them the show has made it a little easier to come out to their parents or friends.
I don't think I'd have much of interest to tell them, but I'm sure I'd get inspired if I had a chance to meet 'em.

Thanks guys for making me feel welcome. I've actually been lurking around for awhile, but I decided to come out of lurkdom. I supose I should tell you guys some stuff about myself. Lets see... I'm a Jewish lesbian in Massachusetts. I go to college. My birthday is June 23rd, the day after Jai's! I'm really obsessed with Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. My college doesn't actually get Bravo so I go home, which is only about forty minutes away, on weekends so I can watch the reruns of each weeks episode of Queer Eye. Seriously, I have yet to miss an episode.

Welcome witchgirl....this is a great place to be!!! BTW - in case you couldn't tell........I'm a Thom's wife....which means that I would walk to the ends of the earth for Thom.....I would give up chocolate for him.....I would pick up his Starbucks coffee for him in the morning...I would walk his dog Paco, anytime (uh..although I live in Baltimore, but whatever..)...well, you get the idea.

I'm a mix of Mexican, Irish, English, German, American Indian, etc. I was raised Catholic, although I'm studying/interested in most religions, including Wiccan if that's what your name refers to, and attend a Unitarian Universalist church. Straight girl, recently came out as having a crush on k.d. lang. LOL! Got a B.A. in Art 13 yrs ago, although it was really in fine art B&W photography. Birthday April 30th, complete Taurus. I'm a straight girl from Washington where I also go to college. I am proud to say that I have not missed an episode since I joined the hoards of fans, even if it means that I'm up until 2AM with an exam in my 8AM class the next day. Its about four hours to my parents' house so I'm really glad that my residence hall gets BRAVO, I think I would cry if it didn't. I'm quarter Irish, quarter Scottish, half Panamanian (I'm great at parties). JG's one of the sweetest peeps on this board. Not my oldest friend (that award goes to the amazing ThomsTeddyBear) but one of the most valued for sure. And she's right about the "peacemaker" title....she's stepped into a quarrel or two and calmed me down with her angelic common sense. I live in California and I was widowed when my husband (named Tom...coincidentally) was killed on his motorcycle. I have 2 children.....one who thinks the world of me and one who doesn't. (I stole that line from the Gregory Hines character on Will & Grace....it touched my heart and it describes the situation really well without going into any details that I can't deal with at the moment.) Thom's my guy and he was the inspiration for the screenplay that I wrote for the Fab 5. My birthday was January 13th. My father was English and my mother was half French Canadian and half Mohawk. My husband was Italian and his parents came from Prado Verde, Italy (hope I got the name of the town right). I'm an animal rights fanatic and I particularly love dogs. Several of the wonderful people I've met here are the straight guys and their wives. (Hi, John K., Ari, Sean, Kevin D., Jeff & Corrine, Brian & Rachel, Mark & Roe and of course Karly!) I wouldn't trade this experience for anything....QE is a "make better" show in every sense of the word. I know they've made my life better.

OMG!!! Dear, you can come here, stay in my bedroom (there's lots of the Fab5 pics on the walls) and make yourself at home! There's wine in the refrigerator (I'm following Teddy's tips as best as I can... It's a Merlot...!), lots of food and chocolate candies inside a cute vase I made myself (at my 1st and only pottery class! lol)...Oh, the bathroom is the first door at your left and if you need some place to dance and sing around, you can just use the corridor! lol So, you can come here and I'll go there, NOW!!! lol Geez, I love winter, speacially if it's a snowy winter! I did manage to tell Thom, however, that they inspired me to come out as a lesbian. I believe Thom's response was "Oh my God." I told Jai that I loved the QE CD. At that point, my book was signed and the lady in charge was looking for it's owner. I did, however, see Kyan paying attention to what I was telling Thom and Jai, and I did see Carson whispering something to Ted, so I assumed my story had travelled down the line and that all five boys knew that they had inspired my coming out as gay.
Oh, by the way, Ted's books are available on Amazon.

Like Isa said, I bet they're very happy to know that they're really an inspiration for everyone who wants to officially come out to the parents and friends, and I'm sure they were really happy to talk to you and to hear what you had to say! I'm very happy for you!

I live in Brazil, I'm in law school right now, mostly to be able to bring some justice to eveyrbody who needs it, like me... You see, my dad tried to kill me when I was little, he put a knife on my throat and then he ranaway to Canada with his mistress and never gave me and my mom any support... Now I'm fighting to get something fair, but it's very hard and I was really depressed until I met you guys! *snuggles* Anyway... I'm a model too, mostly magazine photos because I'm too slow to change outfits that fast! lol Iv'e done it before, but I rather take photos, is much more tranquile! I'm a straight girl who happens to have such a huge crush for Ted, after all I'm a TeDelicious, hun!, and just like 'luvsthom' with Thom, that would be me with Ted! I'd do anything too, because my admiration for him is really huge!!!
I fell in love with the Fab5 and the QE from the 1st time I saw them on TV, and I just love the show and everything they do to and for all the straight guys they help to improve...! My favourite band is the White Stripes and my favourite place on the internet is... Oh, HERE, of course!!!
Hun, I hope you could've known me a lil' bit, and of course we're gonna talk almost everyday, so we all will know each other better day by day!!!

I've painted a picture once, not that good since I like to draw in black and white too... Sometimes I think that when you put color in your painting, it just doesn't get so good as it should be if it was in black and white... I think that a black and white drawing really makes it look more detailed, because you can give the person who's seeing your sketches an 'idea' about what the colors were supposed to be, but it's all up to the person him/herself...

P.S: Oh, and if you use that tool I told you, by copying the pic and pasting to a Word doc. you can also enlarge the pic in wich size you want to, I do that sometimes too, when a pic's so small and I loved it so much, so I enlarge it and turn it on a black and white pic, when I have/want to! I hope you got it! :-)
i need to convince my parents to get one for our computer! it would make life alot easier my mom kinda wants one anyway so it should be easy

Heeey! Oh well, I just wish I could at least have a friend who's applied to the show, so I could be on his house when the boys went there... Friends and relatives are very lucky too! :-) Geez, I'm so happy the Sony Television bought QE! YAY! Thanks to them I can watch the boys on every Sunday!

I have pretty close Taurean friends, but few Virgo friends too! *looks at the ceiling, thinking* Geez, I wonder why! :-) I used to have a friend in highschool who was a Virgo, but it's been so long since the last time we spoke, so I think it doesn't count... I had a Scorpio friend for 12 years, but she really disappointed me and even after all this time, we're no longer friends anymore.. She started to act pretty jealous and for someone who was there for me, just like her mom and family, during my hardest times in childhood, I guess she shouldn't have treated me the way she did, but it's past now, I hope she's happy...! *smile*

hey Nat!!! yeah i agree, it's good to meet soooo many people who ALLL love the boys!!! i'm not alone in my obsession!!!!! re your friend ... that sounds really hard. it's so hurtful when friends turn on you after so long. i had a gemini friend like that and it really hurt but ce la vie! i wish her well too and i'm grateful for all the fun times we had. that's what i think we need to hold on to.

I don't see Ted in a parental role.....to me it seems like they all jokingly chastise eachother equally but just as friends.
