Heh, heh, I read somewhere that Sebelia had the breeding of goat and I had to chuckle. (Anyway, like I am perfect hardee har.) But I would watch the show if you have it taped. I really enjoyed seeing all designers' good stuff. I think it is worth a look!

I would ask you to show a little more respect! To say Jeffrey Sebelia has the breeding of a goat is really not funny.

I have tried - - but your stereotyping of women is pathetic - ridiculous - and angers me.
I am woman - - not only am I woman - - I have 2 daughters and a granddaugher.
You have an extreme narrow perception of beauty - - which you feel you have the right to prescribe to all women.
I fully understand classic beauty - - - but I also understand Fun - - - something that obviously escapes your narrow minded persona.
You seriously need to grow up. I reiterate - - - you act like a child.

Now back off or I and a few others on this board will be your huckleberry...I can stamp out a flame war! You are wrong and untill you spend days reading all of Tams post on this board from the start of the season you have no right to protect Oscarsimon! I'm telling you the truth go back about 20 pages only on this board and you will see there was a misscomunication between them because of all of the newbies posting their hatred! With only 19 post you have no idea! Like I said read all of the post ! I have, therefore I know what I'm talking about. Now please back off your flameing the wrong person! Slate: Yes I can defend myself without a possee. So can Oscarsimon. So unsaddle that horse and ride off into the sunset.
I was having fun thats all I like to laugh and I have an irreverent sense of humor, but I am not unkind I dont think.
Anyway, as long as you feel you have the right to attack me in the name of Oscarsimon then I guess my friends have the right to post also.
As far as Oscarsimon, there is nothing bad between us, I understand that she and I both are sensitive and with a lot of posts going by we both thought the other posted something we did not.
One thing I was going to post after I posted about her being in a straight jacket was the following:
"OH yes why do you think I was at the rest home ? We are tag teaming the Xanax and designing each other’s straight jackets! I did hers in dark purple with periwinkle blue trim, and she did mine low cut with feathers and metallic fringe, in honor of our faves! "
That thing you posted where she referred to herself as a grandmother, she posted a lot of insulting things about me but that was before we made up. However if you read what you yourself posted, she called me a child, and said I was narrow minded and dont have fun. Well I may be all that but I love to have fun
Relax and chill out for gods sake. Life is too short for this

You Know Slate I don't know you from Timbucktu...but if you are going to attack a poster like Tam then YES i will be her in her corner. I don't know what your problem is. Tam and all of us were thanking Oscarsimon on her post because she was trying to be the voice of reason as to why Jeffrey won this season. Has she answered your post? No because she misunderstood where Tam was coming from then got it, They made their peace. I still wish you would go back and read the incredible prose the wrote each other! I hate it when one jumps to a quick and rash judgement. We have been on these boards the entire season and have read every board! Should we get a life maybe. But you come in at the last part and jump into nothing you know about and attack a person. How would you feel if we attacked your daughters or granddaughter with no bases other than maybe three pages of script? Ridicules! Now go back spend 20 minutes of your time and read the post. Be red in the face or be a git I don't care! Got it?

I disagree. All of the collections showed some class... except Micheals. When I watched it the first time I thought of Jay, the first season winner... who was a designer for a porn company before PR.. I think Micheal's designs belong more there.. or on a hooker. I know the music industry is really into that style.. because they are selling sex... so perhaps this particular collection would do well there.. but it has been done before.. so I am not sure of that. I really don't see too many hot pants and babydoll dresses around.. except on MTV and the hookers on the corner. All of his clothing in the collection was too tight and too short... it was awful.
Besides I don't think color had anything to do with it.. and speaking of ethnic.. If I saw my niece wearing any of that I would rip it off her and burn it. During the show he was one of my favorites... I was very disappointed when I saw that mess. If he would have stuck to sportswear I think he would have done well. Don't get me wrong.. he has talent.. I just think this particular collection was horrible.. I know he can do better.. and hope he does.

i agree with some of what you said. michael did disappoint me in his final collection. he did beautiful work all season. i think he was trying something different n failed. his sportswear is great n some of the dresses he did. he is young n he will go far when he matures a bit i think. he has great potential. some one will snatch him up n lead him in the right direction. i also think uli n laura will go far also . their collections were fabulous.

I agree earthgodss To me I see always black americans among very best dressed people in NYC that I have seen.
So when people suggest that those who didn't like Michael's collection are euro centric ... those people are missing the point. There is only one show that I watch besides PR and TC and that is GIRLFRIENDS and all those girls dress like goddesses they do NOT dress like Play mates. To see someone as beautiful as Nazri and Clarissa and see how Clarissa "got" Laura's clothes and WORKED THEM and looked like a dream walking in those clothes... how can people just disregard that ?

ROFL. I can't tell if I agreed with any of your other points. After this little rant, I had to completely dismiss you.
IMO, Tim Gunn is one of the nicest, kindest, smartest, and certainly most gracious men ever. I think both his good nature and kindness were tested again and again this season, and I can't imagine how hard he had to fight the urge to dope-slap some of the designers at times. And how sad that you can't imagine anyone could find a modest home charming and adorable!
A phoney, pretentious, pseudo-intellectual snob? In the words of Oprah, "You spot it, you got it."
Well said ChaCha
I like Tim Gunn too, but after this season I wonder if he didn't sell himself. He had to know what crap the producers were pulling. I don't know what to think; he does come off as very sweet and genuine. If he did sell himself out, I can only hope that Parsons will pull out of the deal with Bravo, although I would certainly miss Tim.

Okay - I'll stand up for her. She's not flaming, but offering an opinion in nicer language than some of Tam's posts. It was stated that in 30 years some of T' s rantings will be considered immature. I agree - I found some of Tam's comments to be rather ridiculous and flaming, not very informed and quite simplistic. And I found it quite amusing that others were her "posse." I know some of my posted comments were not understood (and I'm not stating by whom particularly) either owing to a lack of understanding, or wisdom, or willfull posturing. In any case, wisdom may come with an open mind and age.
On another note, thanks to the poster who so correctly pointed out that some misunderstood my analogy (those of you who need to will understand this).
And to the staunch defenders of those who post what the defender believes in - there is no way for you to know who that poster is - s/he could be a 47 year old 354 pound guy who stand 5'3", neo-nazi, with a book of "famous quotes" at hand to impress the easily impressed, rather than a tall skinny French chick. Not that I have anything against fat older guys who are short...it's a description used for comparison (literalists, please note).
Anyway - it's been interesting to read the informed and uninformed of this board, and it sure tells me lots about your country.
cheerio - I'm off to TC, sure that some of you will chuckle, and some will be incensed beyond words...

LOL Alice!! once again! Are you sure you are not my long lost twin sister?
lets see my mom was born in ireland so thats close to france lol could be someone slipped across the channel.
i think we agree a lot no matter our age difference( n there is one lol) we like women to look beautiful. some of the designs today are geared towards the younger set n( not meaning you of course). other women that still want to look nice are left out in the cold.
i loved laura n ulis collection. watch their progrees as opposed to jefferys. i think we will see a big difference even though he won.michael knows a owmans body just has to mature n he will. dont like some calling him a hip hop street designer her proved he wasnt in the challenges. whereas jeffery kept at his rocker look for many.
love your long lost relative lol

~And to the staunch defenders of those who post what the defender believes in - there is no way for you to know who that poster is - s/he could be a 47 year old 354 pound guy who stand 5'3", neo-nazi, with a book of "famous quotes" at hand to impress the easily impressed, rather than a tall skinny French chick. . . .
'tis the quality of the masquerade that counts, uh, non? such a long season -- seams were bound to show, eventually.
Forgive my latecoming. Life sometimes interferes with virtuality.
I just want to add that sometimes how we write tells more about us than what we say about ourselves. And I would say that on the internet, since we are not here to find a date, we are dealing with each other on a thought to thought basis, and Tam's posts match what I would expect of a young idealistic person, not some jaded old game player. The only amazement I have had about Tam is that her English is so fluent, but that is only for the good.
Another reason that I believe tamarinden is because of her choice of a name which is neither masculine nor feminine, but refers to an exotic spice. That is not to razz OscarSimon who has freely identified as a woman. In the past, many women used masculine pen names to publish under and OscarSimon has also mentioned that she is 60, so that fits just fine. So would OscarGrouch somedays..
whiskers is aptly named for her devotion to animals and the environment which over the years is consistantly apparent. If someone posts as Sweetiepie16, then I wonder..LOL
It is obvious Tam does not need me to support her as she is very popular, not for being a tall French beauty, but for her passionate posts championing Laura, and my fave Uli. Although from a design perspective, Jeff's collection was, as Fern Mallis so aptly stated (about his zipper dress) full of "ideas", I agree with Tam that his collection did not celebrate the female form, but was more about his own vision. It is my opinion that the bad decision to elevate Chloe's "pretty and shiny" aesthetic over the more refined and thoughtful collections of Santino and Daniel was partly responsible for Uli not having real consideration this season.
Uli has more than great skill, she has great natural artistry. But IMO because she uses this artistry to enhance the natural curves of a womans body rather than design around/despite them like Jeffrey, her ideas seem more limited because she was designing within parameters of a certain sense of beauty and taste while Jeffrey felt freer to flaunt those conventions.
This all brings me back to Nick Varios from Season 2 and his decision to construct a suit for Daniel in the "Make-over" challenge that had neither buttons on the jacket nor pockets on the trousers. This was deemed completely unacceptable by the judges. But for women there are few if any rules of functionality or dignity in style. So a designer can basically splatter paint on a female model in a short sarong and send her down the runway and be hailed a genius, but not so much for men.. yet anyway. But since Project Runway is about womenswear, the designers who basically see women as blank canvasses for their whims will always be seen as more innovative than those who design for human females with needs and requirements from fashion that are sometimes different but just as important as men's needs and requirements from their fashion.
Just some thoughts. Maybe for the show's reputation, it was good for them to send a signal that they were more interested in "design ideas" than any one standard of beauty or the perceived persona of the designer. I just wish in Project Runway's zeal to have a winner who would not embarrass them, they accepted a man with his own design company and celebrity clients and passed him through the challenges despite his overt failures.. "everywoman" and "black and white cocktail".
Just my Opinion. (I would have loved to see Kayne's runway.)

What I don't understand is how they can even allow a designer to be on the show who already has his own line and his own store. Isn't the point of the show to give unknowns a chance to get started in the fashion world? I really didn't care who won, they were all great, but I still don't understand why they gave it to someone who was established already. I think that anyone other than Jeffrey should have won. Michael is a little "green" yet, but he has fabulous taste. Uli was clearly the judges favorite, and both Uli and Laura will definately have careers in fashion. Can someone please explain though why they let established designers on the show in the first place, let alone let them win the whole thing??!!
