Welcome to the message board thread for Top Chef season 2, episode 204. This time, our chefs are split into teams and they get to make an entire meal - entree, side dish, and dessert. First off, Betty needs to shut her mouth. She started it by being mean to Marcel. She needs to apologize to him and get over it! If someone told me that i that they were glad that I was having having problems then i'm allowed to be mean back. She shouldn't complain about him!
And Mike needs to go home- he's a fool!

Who wants to worry about calories when watching a cooking show????
Why were people surprised about the amount of cals. in oil? Helloo???

Yeah, the surprise about oil is silly. But this is the same as every other challenge. One or two people have an edge (this time Sam) and everyone else is out of their comfort zone. I'm seeing this as the recurring theme.

I think what happened on this episode just sucked. Marisa knew that they were not paid for either. She should have never left the store without checking. To me she should have left and not Otto.

I agree that Betty should'nt have done what she did, but who were the others that used the olive oil? No one else fessed up to breaking the rules and therefore she should'nt have been singled out to go home. So I think the judges made the right decision. Are we going to get an extra episode out of this?

Actually no. Remeber Tom C. said that Otto would have stayed if he owed up to his mistake. He did but in doing so he bowed out himself. Betty owned up as well and so he's not being inconsistant.
I'm glad nobody left because that is a really difficult challange and not reflective of the skill involved.

As far as the editing goes... the cookies weren't even at issue. The Pizza was the kicker and no one called the pizza card. It may have been where the Olive Oil call may have been going but t was never said.
I say (in the words of Mikeis) "Screw this... screw the challenge".
The bottom of this is to call in the nutrition girls and re-calculate the cookies if it is at issue.
The "Crap on a plate" the other teams offered is still "Crap on a plate".
