Ha!
When he arrived at Bravo town he stopped into an inn
He called forth a hosteler and boldly he walked in
He called for liquors of the best and being a rambling blade
He quickly fixed his eyes upon the lovely chambermaid.
Then she took up a candle to light him up to bed
And when she came into the room these words to her he said
"One sovereign I'll give to you all to enjoy your charms."
And this fair maid all night did sleep all in the King's arms.

Golly, I sure hope so for Seans sake. I know I am in a minority cuz I'm not in the club of Sean groupies (I did enjoy his show, but the "I had no friends growing up, not even my brother would play with me" stayed in my mind. and tonight, that is a real pity party about only getting sympathy invites, and being all alone tonight. I think Kyan said it best, in Seans episode, there comes a time to get out and be social. Sean IS a CUTE guy, but this show was about improving attitude, not just clothes and furniture. On that note, in the Lone Star State, it's only 1 1/2 hrs to midnight, and I'm waiting to be picked up by friends. I don't drink, I don't dance, but I can enjoy PEOPLE's company. Sean, the boys told you to get away from the computer!! do it!

Sean's post could be interpreted that way. He also not only wears his heart on his sleeve, he wears his loneliness, his emotions, his insecurities, all the things I do a real good job of hiding. That sleeve is so full, did you notice he leaned a little when he stood? LOL!

Back when this episode was on I was in a relationship with my boyfriend of 4 years. The entire time I watched this episode all I could think of is..."Why can't I meet someone like Sean?" I know it sounds so cheesey! So...jump ahead to today...I was talking to my friend about how we should go to speed-dating, and I was trying to explain to her about this episode and how Sean went to speed-dating. If there were a guarantee that speed-dating would actually have someone like Sean...I'd be in for sure. The guys talked about Sean being a basic computer geek, but I swear I was in love. Not only was Sean a hottie, he was so sensitive! When he was crying...I was crying right along with him! I felt like I had so much in common with Sean. I know that is strange because he was on a television show and I was sitting on my couch watching him...but I promise you it was there! Maybe I can find a guy like Sean in California?! Or maybe he can move to California so I won't have to look any further! Ha! Ha! I know there are other girls out there that know what I am talking about...so no, I don't feel bad about expressing myself via the internet. Sean...you have no reason to be shy because you are so hot and you seem to have a lot to offer!
Bye for now...

How true, how true, how true, Sean is so cute, and was really really hot in his undies, (the new ones, anyway) and is just generally a really nice guy, it seems. I rewatched his episode today for the third time, and yes, he is a sensitive doll. It's just too bad that he is so darn attached to that computer, cause from moment #1, the guys were on him to get rid of that attachment. He admitted to 17 or 20 hrs a day online and that is what the guys wanted him to STOP doing. Sean, take those baby steps, after the experience of being a SG on QE you should NOT have been home alone on new years. you will never be able to stop whining about having no friends if you don't go out and meet them.
you are so handsome and the self pity you're wearing on your sleeve (ok, the sleeve thing was Thomsdesignfan words) is not a cool part of couture! lose all that and you'll find love and friends, truly!

While I too was home alone on NYE, partially by choice, I am shocked that Sean would be home as well! I am not a self-pity queen (well sometimes), people say that I am pretty (I am trying not to sound shallow), and I am not really that shy...but you would have thought that someone like Sean would have been out, especially since there are so many of us out here who can fall in love through the television!!! Ha! Ha! If not for the miles between us, Sean could have come to my house and stayed home with me on New Years. Ha! Ha! Well, Happy 2005 to you all!

actually as it happened it turned out i wasnt totally alone; i didnt go out but my good friend called me and got me on the line with a bunch of other mates on conference. then another good friend called me. it was better than i thought it would be, and no hangover the next day as im sure a bunch of people had :-)

Hey, Sean, how's your palm tree doing? I recently did some research on them and found that you need to fertilize them regularly, either with a solution that has magnesium it it - Nutricote, Dynamite or Schultz Multi-Cote all make a magnesium version -- or if you can't find that you can use Miracle Gro and add Epsom salts to it. I couldn't find the magnesium stuff but did find some epsom salts in the fertilizer section specifically for plants. You just add it to water and use it every month.
SO, if yours is still among the living, that might help! Sadly during all this research I also found that majestic palms don't usually do very well inside. They need lots of water, misting, and a fair amount of light. Mine are going to have to come inside soon, so I've got to get a plant light and hope for the best.
ever since i gave it more light i think i saved her!
also bought a cute little money tree for my room, and a nice leafy plant for the floor to replace the one which died. :-)
I had a money tree once. I loved it. It was beautiful! Then my sis stuck it out in the summer sun one day and killed it. Money trees don't like direct sunlight.
It just seems like it could be bad news to kill a money tree, in a personal financial crisis kind of way....

Had a palm tree, it died...was picky about water and light. Want a sturdier plant that still looks good but can stand up to hard times? Aloe Vera always works, just a bit of water every now and then. Same for the Cobra Plant (I've heard it also referred to as Mother-in-Law Plant) and Angelvine. I love Angelvine because it molds itself to anything, taking on its shape. You have to water it a little more than the others though. Until Thom's site makes it up, try P. Allen Smith's site:

Oh Sean! I'm so sorry that your tree died!!
Mine are probably dead right now, they're back at college and I don't leave until tomorrow. They haven't gotten water in about a month. I'm hoping that since palm trees don't get a lot of water, they'll survive. Maybe my new roomie will give them some water when she gets there, I can only hope.

You have an extremely good point about not wanting to go out on NYE. My best friend invited me out to a thing at the Queen Mary in Long Beach (Not sure if any of you have heard of it or not). I thought about going and realized that 1. I would end up ditching her because she is so annoying when guys are around, 2. I didn't know anyone else that was going and didn't want to end up with the others she had invited, and finally 3. I had no intentions of getting drunk with a bunch of people that I don't know, and winding up totally sick in the morning! Not my idea of fun! So, whether you felt it was out of pity that you were invited or not, you shouldn't feel so bad about being at home because many of us were home as well! You're hot, and I highly doubt that anyone would invite you anyqhere out of pity! Now that I have blabbed on and on...have an excellent 2005!

Oh, no! Mine aren't looking too good either. I have five (yes, FIVE) in my livingroom, and they've all got brown fronds to one degree or another. One looks awful - several of the others are at least getting new growth amidst the brown fronds so I'm hoping they'll pull through till I can put them outside again.
I notice Thom uses them a lot in his decor. I think he needs to come on this board and tell us how to take care of them properly!

I second the aloe vera nomination! I got one as a sprout about six years ago and it's gi-normous right now with almost zero help from me! I water it every four or five days. It sits outside in all kinds of temperature extremes and just keeps growing.
Another one I've had really good luck with is the peace lily, although it requires a bit more maintenance.
Just FYI....

I have a jade plant, and judging from the fact that it's not dead yet, I'd say they're pretty resilient. You don't have to water them very much, and they don't need all that much light, either.

What's this? Suggestions for replacing a palm tree that Thom placed in a sg's apt. with a different plant? That could throw off his entire design!
Blasphemy, Sacrilege! I'm burning another candle on his altar for Thom's forgiveness.
Seriously, we have a UC County Cooperative Extension that have Master Gardeners that give free advice. I've taken in sick looking leaves & they've told me what the cause was and how to care for the plant. I've taken lots of branches & they identified all the trees & shrubs on my property when I moved here. These guys are serious plant nerds, I love talking to them. There's got be something like that in every area, right? Maybe out of a local University? Or is it just because I live in Cal?

I think most places have that kind of stuff. Ours is through the local library system and I've had good luck just walking into my local nursery and questioning the first person who asks to help me.
Blaspheme?! Say it isn't so! As loyal subjects to King Sean we were merely stepping up to offer advice in Thom's stead. We certainly meant no bad karma or wonky mojo to result. Perhaps we all can be forgiven on our sparkling good looks and noble intentions this one time?
King Sean can grant us a pardon in Thom's absence, right?

I'm not sure if King Sean has those powers yet. He just got here a couple days ago. While I was laying out a card reading, I heard him still arguing with Carson about refusing to wear hosen. Thom's command of these decisions is much stronger. Speaking of Thom, is that thunder I hear or his he riding in on his ivory steed, a white knight to the rescue of his palm tree? I think we can coax a pardon out of....oh no....when tomasulo and her band of Wanton Women hears he's here..... Quick we'll whisk Thom into the castle for hugs...I mean safety!

As the handsome knight rides to grant the pardon, a young woman emerges from the stable. As she curtsies to the knight, he dismounts and hands her the reins.
Tomasulo (passing by the pair): "Oh. My. Gahd!! Look everyone!! Its Sir Thom! Of the Queer Round Table!!" The million who consider him their husband start running after him. He slips into the gates of King Sean's castle as they close on the women.
Reanna: "We love you Sir Thom!!!"
Sir Thom: "I love you too, but I'm sorry, ladies, but there is some important business I must attend to. I'll see you soon."
Tomasulo: "He said he loved us!" (she faints)
TTB: "He said he'll see us soon!" (The women scream as he walks up the driveway and into the palace.)
As he walks into the palace he is greeted by a young servant girl who has been instructed to take him to the King's chambers.
BFOJ (curtsying): "If you will please come with me sir, I will take you to see the King. He has been expecting you."
Thom: "Lead the way!"
As he passed through the palace, he looked around at the decor.
Thom (to himself): "I like the design of this place! I wonder who it was that did it...oh yeah! It was me!"
He passed the kitchen, and peeking in, he saw Sir Ted assisting the palace chef as he made a roast chicken with herb butter and garlic roast potatoes. He passed the ballroom and noticed Sir Jai instructing the younger knights and ladies in the Cha Cha.
BFOJ led him into King Sean's chambers where he saw Sir Carson and Sir Kyan assisting Isa and JG in preparing His Majesty for a royal announcement that he would make later that day.
Sir Carson: "Your majesty, please make sure you wear your hosiery!"
King Sean: "Not on your life! It makes my ankles look huge!"
Isa: "Your majesty, please come here and let me make sure your royal robe is the right length."
King Sean: "I haven't gotten any taller! So far that I know of it hasn't gotten any longer."
Sir Kyan: "Sire, will you let me do your hair before the announcement?"
King Sean: "Yeah, come see me...when would you suggest?"
Sir Kyan: "I would say about 45 minutes before the announcement."
JG: "Sire, I have your crown ready." She presents it to him on a maroon velvet pillow with gold tassels.
King Sean: "Is it shining? Can I see my reflection in the sapphires? Are the diamonds sparkling? Is the gold shimmering?"
JG: "Yes, your majesty."
King Sean: "Wonderful, good job." JG curtsies and leaves the room.
Sir Thom (bowing): "Your majesty, you wanted to see me?"
King Sean: "Ahh, yes. As you know, I'm making an announcement today and I want you to be there. You will be addressing the country."
Sir Thom: "I'm what?! I mean, yes, sire. What is it that you would like me to say to the people?"
King Sean: "There are some citizens who are afraid that they have, how should I put it? They fear that they are on your bad side, as they have given some suggestions for new plants inside the palace, to replace the ones you brought in."
Sir Thom (chuckling): "Don't they realize that suggestions are always welcome?"
King Sean: "I guess not. Anyway, I'm going to be deferring to you to make a pardon for those citizens.
Sir Thom: "Whatever you wish of me to do, sire, I will do with pleasure."

But our concierge, JG will provide the info AS SOON AS SHE WAKES UP. Did you hear that JG? I think I need some warm tea, after yelling across the border. Why doesn't she just get one of those bells on her desk we can ding incessantly? BTW can also have I a have cup of that esspresso you're drinking?

To my Dearest Sean!
I "echo your sentiments" about New Years and true friends not that it is my bussiness, anyways I just wanted to say Im a big fan of yours. Seriously this maybe strange but its true. I look to you as a role model for socialising esp with the oppiste sex. After seeing you on that episode I went and asked out this guy out that I have loved for a long time. Nothing came from the relationship but still I was proud that I took a step in my life I never thought I could do.Your courage was an inspiration!Thankyou for showing me its not so scary out there.
By the way did you keep up with Capoiriea ?(sorry about the spelling) . Well I hope all is well with you in the land of New York. And Sean, yours are the sweetest eyes I have ever seen!

ok- so since I am NOT slayed by the looks of Sean (he's adorable, no doubt, but his dirty apartment and porn freaked me out)- and am one of the minority of TWo that didn't think his episode was the ultimate---
here's a comment! you have given him credit for the most popular posting board, but did you take into consideration that of the 1100 or so, something like 300 are his? look at other populasr SG's threads, they may have less posts (like 480) but only 10 or so are their own.
the point for Sean? he was told get away from the computer, get out there, he's not living it! Reach out, Sean, the ladies are all thinking you are so hot, go do something with it, you have proven you cn't do it the old internet way, so try the way the fab five showed you. Your cute, go make a statement out there
