Sean, Sean, Sean! What's a lil' hottie like you doing wandering the internet 17-18 hours a day? Hon! Unplug the computer and step outside! It's really nice outside... step into the light... all are welcome... all...Ok, so now I sound like the weird little psychic lady from the movie "Poltergeist!"
What a cute show! Jay was a doll working on expanding Sean's artistic interests and getting the guys to help with date-like encounters... (down Carson!)
Thom was wonderful as always - making the apartment functional with both an artistic and functional Disc Jockey flair. He really knows how to read our SG's needs SO well.
Ted showed dear Sean how to find one of the best Markets I've ever seen - and WOW! I honestly didn't know about chicken NOT being yellow! Oh my goodness!
Kyan's choice of Martial Arts Studios was amazing! I loved seeing the methods of defence mixed with dance. (And Ummm... Band Camp? Ky? What instrument, darlin?)
Carson simply had me rolling before he had a chance to open his mouth. Lawdy - NO ONE can carry off color like Carson!!! From the "Splits" machine - to the date mauler - he was just amazing as always... even IF a certain network that shall remain stamped on the top of this page DID compare our beloved mesmeric cutie to a certain British Dachshund!
I loved that dear Sean got 14 of 20 women to like him - but the buxom blonde? ...Obviously it was time for her medication... LOL! (That took some guts to do on a worldwide TV show... or maybe she was counting on the cyber response from the world audience! )
Sigh... my time is not my own these days - pets... I must away. I swear I'll be back to write more about this cute little cyber geek gone chic! I hope you are all well tonight!
Peace and grace to all! --De

Hi folks, it is so good to be back after a couple of weeks of personal hell. About the only good thing I've done in the last two weeks is to watch a lot of gymnastics.
I was so glad to see a new episode. Personally, even if the olympics hadn't filled my time I'd not have watched the twins again. I remember how disgusted I was with them the first time around. The only good part of that episode was David(?)'s heartfelt poetry.
So Sean! I went in with feelings of trepidation. What does a 25 year old recluse have to offer a woman twice his age? But he was SO CUTE! and so ready and willing to learn. I loved his intellligent questions of all the guys. And it was so clear that he was having a good time as were the FF. The Brazilian martial arts class was so neat! Loved Kyan playing the drum. Did you see the smile on his face? He was really enjoying himself.
How can anyone say this show is scripted? The range of emotions shown by the SG and the FF alike are so genuine!
I thought each of the guys really added so much of themselves to the make better. And Sean just soaked it all up.
Loved the apartment. Where did the 'room mate' live? Carson's couture was wonderful as always but Sean really got into it and added some nice touches himself. I liked how he stuck up for not caring for the flowered shirt. I personally liked the shirt, but I was impressed that Sean could and did give a good argument against it for himself.
Jai was so sensitive and caring for Sean. Really brought Sean out of himself and helped him to be more comfortable.
The portion of the show with the internet porn was SO funny! And the comments of the five about the bodacious bodies at the 5 minute date event. 'Ta-tas,' 'jugs,' and I've forgotten Carson's comment for the moment but it was the BEST!
Great show.

At first I thought that sending this guy, who had few people skills, to a speed-dating event was crazy. But then I realized how right it was because a guy like that probably couldn't keep a conversation going for more than 5 minutes at a time! (Though, he handled it incredibly well!) Good going, Jai!
And, Kyan was right on the mark with sending him to those karate classes (or whatever it was). Good way to take one of his current interests and expand it to force him out of the house. Good going, Kyan.
Thom & Carson were especially good at bringing color into this guy's life, without it being shocking. Bright colors wouldn't work on this guy, but softer colors were the way to go. Good going, Thom & Carson.
Hmmm, we never did get a chance to see him cook anything. But, Ted's always good. Good going Ted! LOL
I liked this episode. I'd nominate this guy for a Christmas follow-up visit.

Oh! I know! I watched that and thought "that'll end up being me." He was a total cutey and he did really well at the speed dating. I was suprised he chose to approach the one girl though. It looked like he connected better with one of the other ones.

Ted: "Clean up in aisle 4!"
SG drops more food
Ted: "Again with the clean up!"
Omg, I haven't laughed so much at an episode in a while! Some more fave lines...
Carson on Sean's phone: "Hey, no he can't come to the phone right now. He's with a man right now."
Sean on seeing the new turntable: "If I was gay I'd kiss you guys!"
And this was where Sean first started to cry - he was so cute and all I could say was "Awwww!"
Carson: "This is not underwear, this is birth control." That was so harsh.
And OMG - THOM!
Thom: "Mmm hmm. How you doin', honey."
Sean: "What's your name?"
Thom: "Lanochitka."
Sean: "Lanochitka? That's a very artistic name, where are you from?"
Thom: "You don't know me!"
ROFLMBO!! I was in tears!
So the boys finally got their shower scene without a closed door or swans blocking the way. For an isolated comp nerd, he was stacked! He couldn't have been just sitting at the comp, he had to be doing situps and pushups or something while at it because he was seriously toned!
On speed dating - I could NEVER do it, but he did pretty darn good! Especially since he had to deal with one who was clearly tipsy, one who's a nun by day and dominatrix by night, and the ever changing partners. I liked the first one and last one but was pulling more for the first one. The one who was all over him for marriage...omg, what the HADES was wrong with her! Most straight guys are less aggressive than she was! Poor Jai was so thrown that he ended up on the floor in fright.
I love everything the boys did in this epi - especially the apartment changes that were effective without changing the color of the walls. I think the landlord may have had a problem with Thom painting the walls. But his brilliance couldn't not be stopped! He tossed in color here and there, nothing overwhelming, and it came out PERFECT for Sean! As if it would be otherwise?
The c-a-p-something session Kyan introduced him too looked fun! It actually had me thinking about it until I realized I only wear skirts or dresses.
So on a scale of 1-10 - I give this epi a 20! It really had it all

Yes, notevayas is a bit shy and spends too much time on the Internet. (It keeps him out of trouble!) (mostly..)
But this is about Sean. Sean the cute and clueless! Sean who had a beautiful girlfriend for five years. We know that she is beautiful because she appeared in the family/friend comment part of the show. We know that she has class because she spoke well of him. And I bet that she was included because it was she who asked for the Fab Five to help him!
But this says good things about him as well. I don't doubt that he was honest about not wanting marriage. And maybe as time went on, and the bio-clock started ticking, her attitude changed. Maybe. But to have an amicable split after five years is impressive.
Anime is fun. But pornography per se is off limits to me, so it was kind of galling to see Jai (who is younger) watching it. Lucky for me that words can be so much sexier than photos!
Speaking of sexy.......w00t! Sean did not have the body of a man who spends 14 hours a day on-line!
And the speed dating was funny! Especially when the ladies had a bit too much of the vine.. Personally, I favored the girl with the tinsel scarf. Theoretically of course.

Oh my gosh! Sean was so sweet! Just the fact that Thom made him cry-oh! I can't believe that he actually spends 17-18 hours a day on the computer! What is there to do for that long?
I have to say that I did like Ted's hip tip the best. I liked Jai's too, naturally, but also that Ky was included in it. Ky was all like "I'll see you later..." That one girl who wanted to marry him? I agree with Jai-she's crazy! Crazy for wanting to marry him after one date that lasted five minutes!
Overall? Great show!

LOL! Good one, BBB! Y'know, usually I write about my guy Kyan first, but I remember all those jealousy-inducing scenes of his so...I think this time I'll mention Sean first =^.^= (OMG, I actually remembered one of their names for a change )
Yes, I totally have a lot in common with this guy. Also, like myself, he really knew what he wanted food-wise. I dig a man who knows what he wants. There are too many wishy-washy types out there. Also, neither of us are good runners. And, just like "Queer Eye for my_guy_ky", he appreciated Jai's help most of all!!! Oh, yeah, and we both have tats, too. -- Hey! Get it? "Tats""too"? "Tattoo"? SIP! (I guess that one didn't go over too well ) He has way more ink than I do, though, and in much more visible places. I really liked his eyes. They remind me of a hot athlete I used to know. Similar nose, too, I think. Yeah, I'd shag him. (Shhh...don't tell Ky) HOWEVER...I wasn't so hot about his hair before or after because I don't like the whole spiky porcupine look. Also, this guy could stand to have better posture -- Hey! Get it? "Stand"?"Posture"? SIP! See, it's a pun! (Okay, maybe it'll be quite a while before Tomasulo lets me join her comedy tour.) Maybe I nitpick because I'm trying to compare him to the hot athlete, who was even better looking. (Yeah, just as hot as Ky, and straight - but married ) The Brazilian thing (whatever it was called) looks like fun - if you're coordinated. I'm glad he was so grateful to the FF and very receptive to Ted's advice - but wait - he never had to cook after all. No, instead he went to a noisy speed-dating place. I couldn't hear most of what was said, and I don't know how he could hear over the background noise. I liked the pacing of this episode, especially the beginning.
Okay, now back to my boyfriend: His hair seemed to have a case of product overload this time. I didn't really care much for the shirt he was wearing during their time with SG. Whatever happened to "I'm coming over there, tuck it in." I'm really tired of seeing so many guys in real life going around with their shirts untucked. It's sloppy and makes them look fat. Also, I noticed Kyan had the cuffs undone. Now, in the loft Kyan looked luscious as ever! What was he nibbling on? Too bad it wasn't une parte de moi. I love when Kyan wears beige slacks in the loft and sits with his legs apart so I can get an eyefull of his nice male contours. In his Hip Tip, was that dog Kyan's pet? Although, like Tick, I'm not a doggy person, I had always been curious as to whether he had any pets.
Jai looked so cute with his earrings and yellow pants and flip-flops. The SG had mouse poop in his kitchen, like Ralph S. If Jai's pets are mice, maybe he could give these poor guys advice about that whole mouse poop sitch. =^.^= I think my favorite part of this ep was Jai's Hip Tip with Kyan! Okay, LJ fans, it was just an act. But I was all SQUEE! when I saw the way Ky looked at him! Yep, I did the "50 years old" kick again. I don't even know what Jai said.
When Ted was going through SG's kitchen and found some chicken nuggets, he asked, "What part of the chicken is this from?" It reminded me of a fast-food ad that said, "Chickens don't have nuggets." Um, hello, actually they do, if they're male. I loved Ted's advice about how chicken shouldn't be yellow. I honestly didn't know that. I also loved what he said about prepared side dishes being used to complement the main dish. "Duhlishus!"
Carson's outfit suited him well. He really got into the SG's stretch machine. I loved his "Coffee Talk" impression. It was so cool when he said, "Sean can't come to the phone right now. He's with a man." I'm glad he did his trademark flirting with SG in the fitting room. Carson picked out some amazing undies for our Sean. Or maybe Sean just filled them out well? Hhhm. "Let's pull it off now." Hee!
Tomorrow we get to see a UK ep. Ah, those lovely accents. And Dane.
Hey Note, did you catch the O-b-z ad?

Sean seems a whole lot like me, not to mention at least 10 or 20 people I know. Too bad he's about 100 miles too far away, 'cause I'd totally date him -- he's cute, nice, intuitive and sensitive, and he's actually close to my age, too. I was practically melting into the couch watching him get all teary-eyed over all that the boys did for him -- it was such a touching moment.

First, I want that shirt Carson was wearing. Maybe in a different color, since I don't do hot pink very well, but I want that shirt.
Second, Thom needs to tell me how to care for the great big palm tree he put in Sean's apartment. I have FIVE of them out on my deck right now, as a barrier between my deck and our neighbors. Who extended their house 12 feet in our direction and cut down the trees between us, so now our decks might as well be merged. My trees are doing great now, but I'll have to bring them inside when winter arrives. And around here, that's probably going to be, oh, next week.

ENOUGH ALREADY!!! I am so sick of the Kyan/Jai moments during the hip tips I could just start screaming and never stop. While I realize that it stimulates the imaginations of the multitude of fifteen-year-old fic writers on live journal--and I'm sure that's who the producers are appealing to here--it just does not ring true. Kyan's great, and I love Jai, but there is just no chemistry between these two. Sheesh. *breathe, Clarissa, breathe*
Having said all that, this show was one of the best of the season. Sean K. is a wonderfully expressive person who was a joy to watch.
Thom is just too hilarious and talented; if my admiration for his many talents keeps growing in the leaps and bounds it has this season, I might have to ask his "wives" for an honorary membership. I just love watching his playful side; too bad they won't let him play with Jai much anymore. Those two are such a terrific comedy team.
Augh. Twenty-five AP papers graded and my brain is fried. I just hope you will all be patient with the ramblings of a harried English teacher.
Peace.

I'm glad there was such enthusiasm for this ep, but I have to say this because I find it a bit frustrating when I and only a handful of fans post on the night of a new show:
Even if you aren't too crazy about an episode because it's "meh" or the SG isn't a cutie, please weigh in with your thoughts, even if they're negative. The peeps at Bravo probably read this stuff, so it could be used as constructive criticism. The squeaky wheel gets oiled.

Welcome to the posts kruisinkw! This was a wonderful episode to start watching! If you couldn't tell from my name, my favorite guy is Jai. So...what about you? Who's your fave?
Greetings,

I loved that dear Sean got 14 of 20 women to like him - but the buxom blonde? ...Obviously it was time for her medication... LOL! (That took some guts to do on a worldwide TV show... or maybe she was counting on the cyber response from the world audience!)
I've been wondering about that. Did everyone at the Hurry Date know that this was being filmed for QE? Obviously, they knew it was being filmed but I wonder if they knew what for and that Sean was the SG/MB? So many questions and only one SG to answer them...Sean? Are you out there? As De said, come toward the light. "Cross over children. All are welcome. All welcome. Go into the Light. There is peace and serenity in the Light." {{shudder}} De, you started it!
I thought the young blond was cute! And gutsy. Her bravado certainly made for entertaining television.
I wonder if Sean has stayed in touch with any of the women he met?
Mommy, where are you? I can't find you. I can't. I'm afraid of the Light, mommy. I'm afraid of the Light.

Sean is a bit shy and spends too much time on the Internet. Sound like anyone we know...? Nahhh.
LOL! Good one, BBB! Y'know, usually I write about my guy Kyan first, but I remember all those jealousy-inducing scenes of his so...Hey Note, did you catch the O-b-z ad?
MGK--
I had a full on post about this episode, and my computer punked out...AAAAGGGHHHHH!!
And while you were writing your post, MGK, were you wearing your "Leave It To Cleavage" blouse?
This was a great episode. I think Thom is starting to enjoy making the straight guys cry-he got Sean to do it twice, and each time, he reacted in such a brotherly way...
Is it my imagination, or is Ky's contributions overlapping with Jai's areas? It seems Jai is focussing more on the psychological aspects, and Ky is working the phys. ed. angle. The only comment about Sean's new haircut was the one line in the van on the way back to the house.
And Carson's pants! He must have had them made from my auntie's muumuu. Anything that disguises the contours of his back end where it's like an op-art piece is nearly seizure inducing. Of course, I couldn't take my eyes off that part, so maybe that was Car's intention all along.
And I'm hoping one day there will be a dvd of outtakes, because I'm sure by the way Carson was edited with the splits machine that there were further comments about his position.
And yeah, the way the guys reacted after Carson brought Sean out in his new underwear was exactly the way I was reacting. Oh, my!
And altogether now---SIP!
Peace and love, Rjaye

Brown eyes! Dimples! Oh, yeah...this was a hottie! I felt like possibly Sean was emotional because it had been a long time since anyone had done anything so special for him. Am I close, Sean? And, btw, I LIKE the Anime figures and I LIKE the dragon sculpture.....but don't tell anybody. Celtic Wench: You totally got it right! Thom's face after Carson made Sean show off his new underwear was precious!
Knowing Sean like I do.....oh, wait, that would be not at all.....anyway, I think he skipped the shaving product routine that Kyan taught him because he was afraid of getting it wrong. This looked like a familiar avoidance technique that I've used because of self-esteem issues.
I loved that Thom picked the very first woman in the "hurry date". To me, it says more about Thom than the woman he was "betting" on. Clearly he is a people lover...so eager to like the candidates who are willing to risk the rejection that could come from this sort of situation. Okay...the Kris Kringle candidate made him snark...but, hey, he's only human!
Jaw dropping moment: Thom in those black jeans! (Thank you, Ghod!!)
Favorite comment:
Thom (in the swivel chair): "She has a nice ass" (swivels) "...oh, she has a nice ass."
Other favorite comment for personal reasons:
Thom (responding to the woman who proposed to Sean)): "I'm not even straight and I had a heart attack with that question!" (note to Thom: nice recovery on that "gay" story, Pumpkin)
Sean, 14 women circled "yes".........make that 15, Cupcake.
(Get the cold shower ready....tomasulo is outrageously flirting...again!)

I joined the message board just to comment on this episode. This has to be one of my all time favorites! I'd definitely recommend him as one to follow up on, I'd be curious to find out how his dating and life has changed. He seemed so grateful and appreciative of the FAB 5. He even made me teary eyed
Great Episode throughout. Cheers to the whole Queer Eye team.
Greetings and welcome to the bords, hon! Wasn't this just the cutest episode? What a Sweetie.
I'm so glad that it inspired you to come visit the boards and post how it made you feel. I do hope you consider returning and joining in our wild conversations! Pull up a chair and sit a spell, hon.

De, did I catch you spelling Jai's name with a "Y"?
"Jay was a doll working on expanding Sean's artistic interests ..."
I didn't mean to be snarky...I'm just bored because I didn't have a chance to see the episode, so I have to wait for the re-runs to play....

OOOOooooo! Is my lettering red! I'll have to go back to look! ...And it would have been a Freudian slip at that! (Plus very precious little sleep while drowning in paperwork...)
Forgive me! ...You'll have to watch me close - I'm catching myself really messing up on my writing lately. Nothing a little 30 hour nap wouldn't cure - but I'm pushing a deadline in the non-cyber and saving my posting time when I take breaks! You keep watching! I don't want to start spelling Thom without the "H" - or Carson with a "K" or Kyan with a "C"! LOL!
Peace hon! --De

The way I figure it, watching someone's hair get a trim or shaping (which is pretty much what Sean got) isn't as exciting as watching a total transfomation (ie, Jeff Toale). So in these cases Kyan will work on other aspects of the physical being such as exercise, yoga, etc.

LOL. I wasn't crazy about those pants either. Didn't like that busy print on Kyan's shirt either.

More than that, I think that Sean was utterly captivated, yet not overwhelmed by CarsonTedThomKyanJai.
I thought so too. When Ted was explaining how to cook the chicken, Sean was gazing at him with absolute adoration. And I loved how he said, "You're so much fun!" to Carson.
I really liked Sean - he seemed like a terribly nice and sensitive guy. I'm glad they got him out of the house, though. Spending 17 hours a day on the computer will only make you a disturbing recluse in the end.
And, to agree with Lady B's comment that I cut out here, where WAS the roommate?? It seemed kind of odd that they never mentioned her - where was her stuff?

In a New York minute, babe! But alas, CW is too old for the likes of Sean. I would keep thinking about how when I was going crazy in college as a freshman, he was {awk!} 6! Maybe he has an older, single brother

CW does her little happy dance around the room and chants "I'm a Loyal Viewer, I'm a Loyal Viewer, I'm a Loyal Viewer and wonders to herself just how many to the next level.
A note from CW's alter ego, Celtic Wench:
CW doesn't mean to insult all those poor, pathetically sad posters who are still on the regular viewer level and below by her gloating. Honest. It just takes so little to make her gitty.
