It's Top Chef season 2, episode 205, and it's time to par-tay! Our intrepid chefs, after surviving a rather gross QuickFire Challenge, are off to cater a big bash for a certain well-known comedic actress. (Hint: she's Stifler's mom!) They're split into teams of two and each duo is assigned a course to prepare. But yeah, there's also a twist, this time involving the ingredients they're allowed to use for the party.

Got a bowl of hot and peppered applewood bacon, smoky cheddar and baked potato soup at the ready, and a plate of sweet onion scones for dunking! Got a hot Canarino and lemon vodka toddy too, just in case things get out of hand!

I havent seen any commercials for this one...which is fine, so I dont jump to any conclusions!

For some reason, I do...
LOL....sometimes I have a hard time staying up for the episode, so this way I can get what happened, read the recaps, then watch at my leisure later in the week. As to movie endings....depends on the movie (and the person telling me the ending)!! When I was in college, my bf would go to a movie, then take me to see it, and tell me all about it during the movie. I got him back, when we sent to see the Poseiden Aventure (the first one, my age is showing LOL) I had read the book. So I sat back and spent the whole movie telling him what was different from the book. *grin*

Way to go, Sam! I'm not a fan of "offal" in general, but Sam's dish was about the only one that sounded remotely appetizing to me, so I'm so pleased his knowledge of the appropriate flavor profiles panned out for him to the tune of immunity!

Yeah this event is like a microcosim for the season for me. Its Sam and Cliff and then a wildcard will round out the top three.

I think they will win this one. Their plate looked the best and sounded like it tasted the best.

While Mike and Ilan were up there receiving their congrats, Tom calls out Mike, asking him "How does it feel like to be in the winner's table?" Mike's response (paraphrasing): "Yes. I had to put it out there more. I was playing it safe in the beginning." This from the man who put together a cheetoh and snickers bar. :-)

Just tagging on. I just lost all respect for this show. While I agree Marisa should have been sent home, there is no way Josie should have been cut too. Yes maybe they had to get rid of two but not her. Just wrong.
