If you're sitting or standing next to Padma, you'll have to get all your nutrition thru a straw or IV!! She is very small and thin!! I don't know how she does it being a true gourmet!! Anyone watching the Food Channel with Emeril or a couple of the Iron Chefs?? Those are some beasts!! Padma wouldn't be the equivalent of a chicken leg for them!! lol!!

Padma is one of those lucky persons whose metabolism allows them to eat and not worry too much about packing on the pounds. However, Padma did say in one of her blogs that now that she is in her 30's she has to exercise a bit more to keep the pounds off.

I'm in Tampa. Just not close enough to Miami to be able to "dish" any dirt. Do we have any Miamians here on the board?

Poor, dear Padma. I can't wait to hear her thoughts on exercise when she hits 40 and joins the rest of us "desperates."

Top Design almost killed my interest in Bravo!! Shear Genius is alright, but there hasn't been much activity here on the boards!! Where is everyone??

Top Design was just bloody awful, and I think it turned the taste of Bravo sour for a lot of folks. Shear Genius is better than TD, but it definitely doesn't measure up to Project Runway or Top Chef, even at their worst.

I still wonder if Bravo hasn't jumped the shark with all these 'clones' of their initial successes. Instead of trying to recreate mild success with bland copycats, they should be putting more gusto into the shows they know folks love already and will tune into. I'd rather see a souped up season of TC or a decked out season of PR--complete with new and improved elements from the ground up--than a bunch of new shows that are haphazardly slapped together just to try and keep viewers satisfied until the real shows they want to watch come on again.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'd rather just have to wait it out for PR and TC than to watch the obviously rushed hand-me-downs the network has been trying to pass off lately.

It's like passing up the offer to have your prom dress designed by Nick Verreos in favor of shopping at the local "Fashion Bug" because you don't want to wait a month. Me? I'd rather wait for quality than be dissatisfied with a quantity of clones.

I have to agree with you there.... I watched the first 2 episodes of Top Design and quit due to nausea; as for the hair show I just did not have enough interest to even look. Maybe Bravo can take a hint and kick up the production of those shows that actually are worth watching.

I HAVEN'T REALLY CHECKED INTO THE TC BOARDS

PERHAPS JUST A FEW TIMES

SO SOMEONE MUST HAVE BURIED THIS ONE

OH YEAH FORDMAN

THAT TD WAS A TOTAL FLOP

SHEAR GENIUS HAS PROVEN TO BE PRETTY GOOD FOR ME THOUGH

I WAS CURIOUS JUST HOW THEY WOULD EXECUTE THE CHALLENGES

SO FAR SO FUNNY LOL

THE JUDGING THOUGH "COLD" AT TIMES

HAS PROVEN PRETTY FAIR

AS MANY FAVORITES WERE ELIMINATED ONE BY ONE

IMO THE REMAINING ARE JUST OK

BUT I GUESS THAT ADDS TO THE INTRIGUE WITHOUT THE USE OF

UNECESSARY DRAMA

JMO THAT IS wink.gif

YOU ENGLISH PROPER NOW IC LOL wink.gif

I LIKE THAT BLOODY ACCENT biggrin.gif

THE WAY I LOOK AT BOTH TD AND SG

ARE EXPERIMENTS IN ALTERATION TO THE BRAVO REALITY RECIPE

IN TD IT WAS SO OBVIOUS THE JUDGES PLAYED FAVORITES

SG HAS PROVEN THERE ARE NO FAVORITES

AND ELIMINATION (AS IT SHOULD BE) IS BEING DONE

EPISODE TO EPISODE BY CREATOR PERFORMANCE

SO FAR

AS I VIEW IT

THERE ARE NO LARRELS TO BE RIDDEN

JUST BECAUSE ONE WON THE PREVIOUS COMP

DIDN'T MEAN THEY HAD FAVOR

A GOOD THING I THINK biggrin.gif

UNLIKE PREVIOUS REALITY OFFERINGS BRAVO HANDED DOWN

INCLUDING TC

A PRE DESTINED WINNER AND RUNNER UP ISN'T OBVIOUS IN SG

KEEPS US ALL GUESSING

ANOTHER GOOD THING wink.gif

AND THE GRAVY ON THE ISSUES AT HAND

MOST OF THE OL' GANG IS BACK

WITH MORE TOOLS ON HAND TO ENJOY LOL

AND IT DOE'S SEEM SEVERAL ARE HAVING A REALLY

REALLY GOOD TIME LOL wink.gif
