This week's episode is extra large for your viewing pleasure! (15 minutes longer that is.) In this episode, the chefs must design a dish based on one of SEVEN colors. Then for the elimination challenge, they have to create a dish based on one of the SEVEN Deadly Sins. (I guess that's why they called the episode "Seven".) Works out, since there are only SEVEN left!

I hate that my puter is in a different room than my TV. Can't hardly run back and forth through the house, Hubby will call the men in the little white coats for me. (Plus will scare the pups) Once the show starts, have to sit there glued to the couch so I don't miss any of the "drama" Hey, do you think Betty will be envy, as in pen!s envy?? LMAO!! (Or maybe that would be Marcel) Maybe Wrath would be better for Betty as she is always full of wrath at Marcel.. Pride-- Cliff, Lust-Elia, Greed-Sam, Gluttony-Ilan. Ilan and Elia are hard, but those are my guesses, accurate or not.

I really think it was only a matter of timing, what with the holidays. Almost every show I watch (Heroes, Lost, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, Friday Night Lights [thank goodness for a new ep tonight!], Grey's Anatomy, My Name Is Earl, etc.) has gone on hiatus until after the holidays, so I really doubt Bravo's decision was any more intentional toward its fans than any of the other networks.

I'll be honest: I actually thought about Se7en, the Brad Pitt/Morgan Freeman movie by David Fincher. I guess the episode premise makes more sense.

I give Cliff lots of credit too for having created a good purple dish while being colorblind. I myself probably would have made something like black raspberry ice-cream. LOL

Agree 95% 5% goes to my vote for Marcel. I STILL haven't seen a single thing he's done wrong. What I see is an over arrogant bunch of assh*les picking on the kid.
On a better note its great to see Marcel finally sticking up for himself. Funny as hell when he told Ilan to shut the f*ck up. Would have been even funnier though if he would have punched Sam in the face at the store.

I've been rooting for Sam until his public display at Wild Oats... I feel like he really lowered himself, as f*cking irritating as Marcel might be. And Ilan's attack surprised me. Betty is annoying as always. At this point I really hope Elia or Cliff wins.

I don't hate this cast, but I do hate how they're starting to gang up on Marcel. Marcel probably deserves it to some extent (he probably should just shut the kcuf up once in a while), but the entire cast ostracizing him seems uncalled for.

So I wonder if all the Marcel-bashing is foreshadowing for tonight's elimination. I was feeling that "theme" given the scenes they started out with from previous episodes. I think he's gonna be eliminated. I've actually gotten to like him and yeah we did see an angry Sam tonight. As Marcel said it's pretty ironic because Sam's "sin" is anger.
Tom C always has something bad to say about Mike, God give the guy a break!!!!

I am really impressed with him too! My son is colorblind, to him red and black are the same (black), green and orange look the same (tan)... I cannot imagine all the guessing Cliff's done over the years while cooking!
There should be an 8th deadly sin...the others certainly are serving up a dish of "nastiness"

I also find it ironic that everyone seems to think Marcel should just try and go about this competition on his own, but Ilan felt it was necessary to try to instigate an argument with Marcel. I thought it was a little hypocritical on his part. Just the fact that Ilan tries to bring out the worst in Marcel, tells me a lot about Ilan's character. I like Ilan as a chef, but not as a person.

For some reason, I didn't realize until very recently that the actress who played Henry Hill's lover in "Goodfellas" was Debi Mazar. I first took notice of her in "The Insider" (dir: Michael Mann). She's terrific!
What a bunch of poor sports! I hope Marcel wins this challenge! He has skills and doesn't play it safe. He definately pushes the creative envelope. I liked Betty at first, but I see that her sunny disposition covers up some real ugliness.
