Mark is a Cambridge qualified doctor who ditched medicine to become a pupeteer. How well do you think he did of removing any skepticism from his drastic career change?

Lord help me, I'm trying, I really am.
Let's go for positives first--I do like the energy of the UK5. They seem sincere and seem to enjoy their mission.
As usual, the flat was greatly improved.
Thought the puppets were fascinating throughout and enjoyed when the Five played with them. I think it was Peyton (the bald one?) dressed up to look like one of the puppets and I laughed.
That was a very good haircut Tristan(?)did. Really made the MB's hair look fuller. I do like that Tristan does the cuts.
The couture was pretty straightforward and low key. A good choice for this guy, I think.
The culture guy will never be Jai but he seems to tune in to the MBs and has good listening skills. This poor MB was SO anxious! Did you notice when he was talking especially to the culture guy that he couldn't keep his hands out of his hair (twisting it at the crown) or away from his nose (he tried, he really did!) I think my favorite part was that the culture guy introduced Mark to the consultant woman who tried to give him some advice for the evening. She was right on, however that the speed dating scene was really not his thing!
Now the negatives for me. First LOSE LULU! Sure she is cute. And she's the only name I'm really confident I have right. But who brings an unhousebroken dog into a stranger's home (no matter how cluttered and dirty) and laughs when she poops in the bedroom? ICK!
Too much of the activity still mimics the US Fab Five. Speed dating two weeks in a row with only 'the pond' separating them? And poor Mark was really not a good candidate! He only began to relax near the end. His giggle made me crazy! That poor man was so far out of his element for most of the episode. And a DOCTOR? Not on my body with his questionable hygiene and less than stellar communication skills, thank you.
Again, when the decorator went into the shop he almost mirrored (but not nearly as well) Thom's dive onto the divan/sofa/bed.
The subtitles worked quite well during the speed dating sequence where the noise level was high.
I missed some of the episode between showing the flat and the reveal so I will need to watch again before I comment further.
I think this guy needs to hang out with his puppets not with patients.
Cheers,

I was recording this while arguing on the phone with my Uncle about getting the heck out of Dodge - or Gulf Breeze, FL as the case may be... So here's what I gleened from a quick scan of the tape...
Yes, SignladyB! I AGREE! Julian needs to walk the doggie more often - or bring puppy pads with him! I was also alarmed at the way he lets the pooch run about without a leash to keep him out of the street! Yikes! Are there no leash-laws in England?
I was struck by how lost Mark seemed to be most of the time...
(**De sends lashes with a wet noodle to his parents for naming him "Mark" with a last name like "Down!"** -- Shadows of Johnny Cash's song: A boy named "Sue"!! No wonder he has an identity problem!)
I wonder if it was his parents idea to send him to medical school - and that now he was rebelling against it? Hmmm...
I liked the clothes... although... Carson, darling? When did ripped hems become fashionable? Did I miss that runway walk on E! ???
I thought the apartment was well designed - and it took Dane to be brave enough to hit a MB's apartment with BOLD HOT PINK!!! So I'll give him snaps for that. He still isn't as devistating as Thom - but it's a different flavor.
I was absolutely struck by Jason and the whole scruffy to Miami Vice look during the episode. Meep! I did love the relationship expert that he took Mark to. I think I would have liked to see that on Sean's episode in equal detail. Her advice could translate well to men and women. (Although - I'll sit legs together, thank you. )
I liked Peyton's answer to the raw bar - buy everything pre cooked! LOL! ...Oh, but Peyton, my darling... find a mesh glove for your straight men so they don't slice their fingers off! ...And... I DIDN'T KNOW THAT YOU WERE EATING OYSTERS LIVE!! MEEP!
It was a lovely little distraction for a very worried lady... and I will watch it again - if for no other reason than to bring Star86 the list of words they had to translate for us!
Peace pets! --De

To leave the medical profession to become a doctor is a BIG change! But if it is his dream and he wanted to go for it, then I have no problem with that.
I don't remember much of it because I haven't watched it a second time yet. The first time I'm usually trying to concentrate on what they're saying, thank Bravo for subtitles! Plus I was very tired.
I DO remember the "Thom shirt" as my daughter calls it...and I've embraced it...because Thom wears alot of striped shirts

De,
I hope all is okay with your uncle and others in your family that you have recently mentioned who are hurricaning. My daughter's father is in Ormend Beach FL on the Atlantic coast. He sat out Charlie, I guess. My daughter is planning to go see him early in October.
Blessings for the weekend,

Me again.
De, thanks for naming everyone. Maybe now I can remember--I wrote them down for myself. I loved your comment about a boy named Sue--funny song--good analogy.
Blessings,

Do I like this speed dating episode or the Sean K. one? Prob. Sean K. but I am getting to know the UK boys better each week. But how come Tristian gets to cut the SG's hair and our dear Kyan can't?! I was kind of envious of the UK guys being shirtless outside next week, would our guys ever do that?

I was all ready to write a long notation on the show from Wednesday night... and there isn't a thread to be seen. Has the BBB dropped their knitting? I wanted to "virtually" write the David's again - and suggest a revamping of the episode. I think our boys could do a much better job... shirtless... Peace!
