Nate finds parallels between his own life and that of a man whose missing body was discovered in the forest after 25 years. Ruth sets the ground rules for a new live-in apprentice named Arthur; David meets an old acquaintance during an LA Gay Men's Chorus rehearsal; and Claire agrees to be Olivier's assistant, but is surprised by her responsibilities.
Discuss!

YES - Brenda is back!!! Bring it on....... Get rid of Lisa - now she has maneuvered herself into not returning to work until Maya starts kindergarten? Without talking to Nate? He is so busy being agreeable, he is letting her walk all over him. Yes, relationships take lots of compromise, they take lots of sacrifice, but they also talk lots of discussion, and both people have needs to meet, not just one!
Brenda seems to have done a lot of soul searching. Which of course does not mean that she is a different woman, but does mean she may have a better understanding of why she behaves as she does.
The new apprentice - I will go out on a limb and say I like him. I don't know if it is his upbringing, the fact he was homeschooled and might not have had a lot of social interactions, or perhaps he has a disorder such as Aspergers, but his formality and calm demeanor make him interesting. I look forward to seeing more of him in future episodes.
Keith, Keith, Keith - you need an anger management course. 'nuff said.
Claire - don't shove Russell away - he obviously cares about you a lot. Don't believe what Olivier said about losing your creativity or drive to create or whatever!!!!

Okay. Saw it.
I have to say, I thought it would be so overdone the way they parallel that guy's life they found in the car, and Nate's life...but they did a good job! That was cool. I think I like that new guy. He's totally weird, which is cool. I can't wait to see how he works out in the future. Hopefully this one will stick around, unlike the woman they hired when Federico quit. I would have liked to seen more of her and how she worked out. This one seems to be showing likenesses toward Ruth, which should be interesting.
Brenda!!! I was so excited to see her. I was wondering what the heck happened to her. Though I hated what she was doing to Nate previously, it sure was a lot more exciting than the Lisa/marriage thing. I didn't realize how much I liked their chemistry until she wasn't in the picture.
I wish I could go back and watch the last episode of season 2, because I could swear that the jogging shorts/t-shirt that Mr. Fisher was wearing in Nate's dream was the same ones Nate was wearing when he was in surgery and in his dream then the bus pulled off to the side of the road. Remember? The season ended with him stopping and looking in the doors of the bus that had pulled over? Hopefully it is just my paranoid "Nate is really dead and this is all a dream" side of me talking. But it was weird in that dream when Nate was all of a sudden wearing a suit, then his dad was wearing those shorts and a T-shirt, and I noticed when I was watching it the second time around that Nate had fallen asleep wearing a black T-shirt and Jeans. Then in his dream his dad shows up in a suit, and suddenly Nate is in the suit and his dad is wearing Nate's usual jogging shorts. It's all just too weird. It all seems to me to be pointing to Nate being really dead and this all being a "life flashing before my eyes" type of thing. Oh, let it not be true!!!! I'm still tempted to go buy the box set to find out, but it is fun coming on here and speculating. it's the little things in life, you know?
Anyway, this was a cool episode and I'm glad I finally got to see it. I realize now I didn't miss all that much of the second episode from Monday.
It was a little dreary and boring to me when David recalled the episode where he and that Choir guy had a jerk-off in a restroom. Seems so gay-cliche to me still. That's a good term, I think. Gay-cliche. Please, I'm straight so if there is any gay people out there reading this, correct me if I'm wrong...but does any of that stuff actually happen??? What is the deal with that? This show seams to paint gay people to be so seedy. That's the best I can term it. Seedy.
I hope Claire doesn't let that weirdo teacher mess up her life. That Russell guy seems super sweet and totally into Claire. I say, go for him baby! Don't be a total, fall for a cheap line, idiot, Claire! Can't you see this teacher is going to use you to suck the life out of you for his own self and leave you bleeding in the gutter???
Okay, dramatics aside. See ya next episodes!!!

Oh, yes, I agree about the woman they hired to replace Federico - she was quirky, but really, not that bad - she was interesting!!
And, yes, the new guy - he seems to have OCD tendencies.

I have been taping the shows, and will try and find time to go back and check on clothing. I totally agree that the speculating is so mcuh a part of the fun of all this!! And, attention to details is something that gives you the little clues. 8-)

I think she is just in awe of him - typical really, when you think about it. When I was in college, I was awe of several of my professors. I got over it, but I just think it is a natural part of growing up. As a parent, I so want to keep my kids from making these types of mistakes, but really, I can't.

I love 6 feet under it was ground breaking. No wonder they were always busy having Dexter working there! lol
