Marcel lovers also take an idea,say it aloud, it then becomes fact. To me, that hurts their case, not help it.
I so disagree about the non-Marcel fans being loud,crass and cruel, similar to Betty and Ilan. Sure, a few have probably gone a bit over the top but I would say the majority has not. I am one of the not-a-fan-of-Marcel and do not think Ive been as dramatic or so convinced my theories are fact.
So yes, it is a serious question after all.

Well, then I think you can't see what I see and many others see. But that's pretty human. We all have blind spots. What is clear is that the Marcel bashers also love to bash the Marcel supporters...Bottom_Chef and WhataJoke being the most glaring examples. That sort of ad hominem attack reveals how weak their shrill arguments really are.
I suspect that the next show will reveal the quality of the constestants chracters with stunning clarity.

Consideration and maturity should fly both ways!! He's no child that needs someone to be taken care of and coddled!! He has some skill, but his arrogant personality will continue to inflame his fellow chefs!!

No we didn't have to pay to get in or for any of the food/beverages. I beleive the producers put a posting on craigslist or something like that, however a friend of mine worked for the show and told me to be there extra early to make sure I got in (they had to shoo away at least 1/2 the crowd waiting).
In responce to your other question- no I did not taste any of 'M.E.C's' food, so I guess that comment was ill-stated.

I cannot believe that any of you would that hate Marcel would think it's a great idea to cut his hair or do any other childish prank to him. These people are supposed to be adults and should act like it.

Funny. My reading of the posts show that Marcel supporters are only too aware of his weaknesses and failings. It is in the way he handles them that endears him to us. He takes responsibility for his actions and doesn't lash out at the other chefs. Marcel supporters don;t accuse other posters of being sociopaths and unable to distinguish right from wromg. We simply find much to applaud in this talented, albeit socially inept, young man and admire his pluck in the face of the nastiness he has encountered.

Then something goes down that is called a stupid joke & the judges want to talk about the behavior as the camera doesn't show us what the chefs look like when they walk in room & the judges mouths drop. The rumor is that Cliff came up w/ the stupid idea to shave Marcel's head & the others contribute to it & then they all shave their heads to try not to get in trouble. Now, I can't stand Marcel but if Cliff shaved his head then not only should he be fired, but arrested for battery. Yes it's hair & it grows back but that is just a line you don't cross.

Of course their all screwed up, they wouldnt have cast them if they weren't. But when just about everyone has a problem with the same guy its not by accident. According to some people around here Ilan might as well cook Fritata for the Spanish Inquisition, Sam is a greasy serial killer and Cliff has aparently made the final call back to be the next Idi Amin. Me personally I wish they brought back Otto, who was TOTALLY screwed IMO. (Marcel said Otto should have gone too, just an FYI)
But barring that I find the fact that someone got fed up with MC Foamy and gave him a trim to be fabulous on too many levels to describe.

Hate to tell you JayC, but I think that is what happens. I know, it is insane how they have acted. NO, I am not a Marcel fan or hater...don't care for him, but that is JMO. I didn't care for many of the chefs; Josies' voice drove me nuts, Marissa thought she was "all that" and wasn't, Betty...OY!, Sam, too sneaky, Cliff, too sneaky and angry, Mike, not a TC, but funny, in a weird way. Others may or may not agree.
I watched the show again this morning, just to see the previews and it does show Cliff sneaking up on someone on the couch, and it is being filmed but doesn't say who is filming. Lawsuits? Maybe, don't know what will happen. People react very differently to things. Maybe BRAVO gives Marcel (if he is the victim, which is most likely) a big chunk of change to NOT sue..only time will tell. these are all just my opinions, your's may vary as will the rest of the board.

Arrested for shaving somebody's head while they sleep? are you serious? Dude, it was a joke. First of all, Marcel has had it coming to him the entire season. Secondly, its not that big of a deal. If he would press charges, which I don't think would ever hold up because of how ridiculous they are. I can't wait to see what happens.

What if the chefs all do in fact cut Marcels hair? What if Marcel isnt upset and in fact thinks its funny? Yes, he might be upset at first but then he laughs.
Maybe I am being too soft on this one but I would like to see the show before I condemn the chefs. Plus, with nephews around the age of the chefs, I know how they can act.

WHOA THERE NELLIE! I never said anything about suing. Someone else did. Did Marcel have it coming? Not hardly. Verbal attacks are one thing, physical is all together different. Others may or may not agree.
I watched the show again this morning, just to see the previews and it does show Cliff sneaking up on someone on the couch, and it is being filmed but doesn't say who is filming. Lawsuits? Maybe, don't know what will happen. People react very differently to things. Maybe BRAVO gives Marcel (if he is the victim, which is most likely) a big chunk of change to NOT sue..only time will tell. these are all just my opinions, your's may vary as will the rest of the board.
Also very possible is a clause in the contract they signed that stated they couldn't sue for anything that happens on the show.

Agree brillke, anything is possible. All I know is, they all seem to have short hair all of a sudden. Who does what to whom will all be settled in less than a week. Should we all wait to condemn? Of course. Will we all wait? Not likely. For me, lot of fun guessing and throwing out possible scenarios. All of them or none of them could be true. Five days until Chef-shear 2007!

Just tagging on here to get my 2 cents in....Agree with you on this part Brillke, think I need to wait before just assuming my particular scenario is the actual one. With that said, I have to admit, I'm grossly disappointed. Seems to me that, regardless of age factor, with that much on the line....money, media, reputation (look at Harold, Lee Ann, and Dave!) and the making or breaking of your career, especially in a field we presume you have passionate vision (else why be there???) you think triply hard before doing something that falls into a very juvenile prank category (and yes, potentially very hurtful!) You not only damage your victim, you damage your own credibility.

Hate to tell you JayC, but I think that is what happens. I know, it is insane how they have acted. NO, I am not a Marcel fan or hater...don't care for him, but that is JMO. I didn't care for many of the chefs; Josies' voice drove me nuts, Marissa thought she was "all that" and wasn't, Betty...OY!, Sam, too sneaky, Cliff, too sneaky and angry, Mike, not a TC, but funny, in a weird way. Others may or may not agree.
I watched the show again this morning, just to see the previews and it does show Cliff sneaking up on someone on the couch, and it is being filmed but doesn't say who is filming. Lawsuits? Maybe, don't know what will happen. People react very differently to things. Maybe BRAVO gives Marcel (if he is the victim, which is most likely) a big chunk of change to NOT sue..only time will tell. these are all just my opinions, your's may vary as will the rest of the board.
Also very possible is a clause in the contract they signed that stated they couldn't sue for anything that happens on the show.
If thats the case I guess I'm disapointed Cliffy doesn't give MC Foamy a Wedgie so bad that he could floss with the waistband hehehe.
Now I say this without knowing exactly how the laundry facilities are....EEEEEWWW! Only Mike has the underware fetish..or at least the only one we know of.

Just tagging on here to get my 2 cents in....Agree with you on this part Brillke, think I need to wait before just assuming my particular scenario is the actual one. With that said, I have to admit, I'm grossly disappointed. All true about their reputations. Makes me wonder if because Mike didn't take all of the challenges seriously enough for them, that Wine and Roses wouldn't take him back, thinking his rep would ruin theirs? Just something else to talk about besides hair cuts.
