The only way I see marvcel winning is they don;t bring back the eliminated competitors for a team cahllenge like season 1 or he somehow manages to get a team of Elia, Mikey, and someone else who doesn't completely hate him.
I would like to see Marcel in the fianl with a team of Ilan and Betty. Afterall, this season is all about drama, not food.

I think part of it WAS that he didn't want to work with Marcel. Probably the biggest part. BUT, I do believe he wasn't making any effort to be a decent host. I don't remember watching his tape very much, so don't remember if he did any front-of-the-house work. It reminded me of the epi when Mia left...he started out acting like the leader and when he had done his best to NOT listen to Mia, he said that Elia was the leader, leaving her in the position of being canned. JMO, for what it is worth.

My daughter is going nuts over this. She can't believe it. She just mentioned Bopp Chapel too. We lived on Bopp Road in Des Peres. This is way too strange for her. She is freaking. Well so much for West County being so safe.
Well, he went out of his area to nab the kids. Beaufort & Richwood way south of St. Louis. He had introduced the Hornbeck boy as his son. Who would think of such a thing? Just amazing.
Just jumping in here, but 60 miles is NOT that far. Seems like someone would have noticed the young man and I am sure his picture was posted all over the news. Don't know the area, but here in CA, they post pix of missing kids from one end of the state to the other. Just wondering why nobody recognized him.

To a certain extent, I think that Ms Brown judges the women much harsher than the men and takes looks into consideration. Couple of seasons ago, there was a lady who was pretty good singer, but was heavier than the average starlet hopeful. She was first to go. She wasn't the worst by any means. And this young lady wasn't overweight like the first one, but not as skinny as the others. I am sure I will get bashed for this, but having been both over weight AND thin, will vouch for how different people will treat someone.

I tend to disagree on Elia's hair. Yes, she wasn't bald, however it was extremely short! Reminds me of the Steven Stayner case. He was kidnapped when he was 7 & when he turned 14, Parnell kidnapped another little boy, Timmy White. That was when Steven realized his parents probably hadn't given him to this man because he misbehaved. He took Timmy to the police station & save a poster of himself on the bulletin board. Steven, unfortunately, was the brother of Carey Stayner who killed those Yosemite tourists.
Still love that move, "I know my first name is Steven". What a sad story. I also remember when the Yosemite killings happened, and they arrested that guy, his name was so familiar! Took me a while to place it and then was amazed! So sad for their parents to have this kind of tragic life.

I think part of it WAS that he didn't want to work with Marcel. Probably the biggest part. BUT, I do believe he wasn't making any effort to be a decent host. I don't remember watching his tape very much, so don't remember if he did any front-of-the-house work. It reminded me of the epi when Mia left...he started out acting like the leader and when he had done his best to NOT listen to Mia, he said that Elia was the leader, leaving her in the position of being canned. JMO, for what it is worth.

To a certain extent, I think that Ms Brown judges the women much harsher than the men and takes looks into consideration. Couple of seasons ago, there was a lady who was pretty good singer, but was heavier than the average starlet hopeful. She was first to go. She wasn't the worst by any means. And this young lady wasn't overweight like the first one, but not as skinny as the others. I am sure I will get bashed for this, but having been both over weight AND thin, will vouch for how different people will treat someone.

Actually, it isnt fantasy. I interviewed both Frank and Marcel and yes, the glasses were broken. Marcel did say he agreed to pay for them but wasnt sure if he had broken them. To date, he has not paid for the glasses.
So, the fantasy argument does not work this time.
