OK kids...here goes.
1- Yeah Marcel and Sam..congrats on the QF win.
2- Comment about Mikey feeling like the last kid picked for dodge ball...unnecessary and why they all think Marcel is an ass.
3- Anyone else notice that in the car to the "restaurant", Marcel is in the middle, but when they get there, he is first out of the car...what did he do, climb on Cliff's lap? LOL
4- Lalalina..cute. Sorry Sam lovers..guess he has a girl friend. Even Ilan does so...but the talk in the car on the way, "hope Marcel goes home"...funny, 2 out of 3 losers were on your team.
5- MAC...also cute (though not as cute as Lalalina) Cliff, when he was saying he wanted to do the front of the house, I KNEW there was trouble brewing. Said that is what he does in his own restaurant..hmmm
6- Agreed that not much of the food was overly impressive. Both deserts looked gross to me.
7- Even though Mikey did the dish shopping, they all made the decision on what do buy. When there was no money for wine (BIG MISTAKE) he put the wine glasses back. Not sure anyone else would have thought of a plate for olive pits. I know I sure wouldn't have.
So, Mikey is gone. At least he made TC history with his double win last week.
NOW, the previews for next week have me wishing for a time machine! Not sure what the heck happens, but got the impression that maybe someone put something in the shampoo or shower gel and everyone ended up with funky colored skin. Just a guess, based on Tom saying "wait until you see them" and they all walk in and the judges just stare! I am betting the school yard antics got out of hand...tune in next week for another exciting episode of....TOP CHEF!

the only other idea i have come up with is, elia says she quits for making a huge mistake in the kitchen, my other idea is after making that huge mistake they all go in and protest to give elia a second chance since she diserves a fair chance since she is so fair to everyone else

Sorry Stella, but I disagree about this. Marcel is bringing most of this on his own self. The way he continually talks down about everyone else when he himself, can not make anything unless it has "cat spit" dripping off of it. I have met chefs like him before. And it seems like the more they talk about how great they are, the more I can't stand their food.
I have hated Marcel for just the way he talks about how great he is. A good chef does not have to tell everyone they are great. Their food speaks for them.
And his little comment in his "rap" about holding back on hitting them? Well, I hope he has a brick in his hand if he does work up the nerve to do this because I see him only getting one shot in.

I'm a little curious if Sam is EVER going to take responsibility for what he does or what he says? This epi when his watermelon gnocchi is criticized he says, "If I were Mario Batali they would have loved it."
What? Isn't that pretty disrespectful of the diners and their palates? If the food was bad then it was bad. Gail said it made her nauseated. I don't think that would have changed if a world famous chef had made it.

Ok just viewed the Episode and I have to agree with the Judges.
In regards to Marcel - someone mentioned it already about pac mentality and it bringing the worst out in people. Marcel has been confident to the point of arrogant but I haven't seen anything that warrants the attacks he gets from some of the people in the house.
TOP CHEF: Looking at tonight episode I really have to say does any of the chef's really rank as being a Top Chef?
As it stands I can't honestly say I would pick any of the members to be Top Chef. The flaws showing thru for each individual is glaring.

Yep. I read somewhere that Hellman's and BestFoods are practically identical (same parent company) but Best Foods is just a touch sharper. Same ingredients but one change in their order.

They're so indignant, but, Marcel is playing
by the rules, not letting the bullying make
him quit, and saw Mike taking vicodans
and beer. It's ridiculous. These guys have
been so rotten to Marcel. They're dead

IMO if you are a arrogant ass, which Marcel has been all season, you reap what you sew. Its that simple. There are people in life just like Marcel that you can walk away from and not deal with. Thats not an option for people on this show.
Honestly I am dreaming of a sweet reverse Mohawk for weasel boy. He could win the whole contest and still never live that down. Classic.

I don't see it, at all. He's kind of cool, in his
own sweet way. I don't see arrogance, just
defensiveness when he's attacked.
I'm with you. I don't remember Marcel doing one thing to bring on this unmitigated hate. He's more willing to help out than ANY of the others. After watching week after week, it's difficult to not feel protective about him now. If nothing else, he can take solace in the fact that while the rest of them are looking like unbelievable jerks on national television, he has managed to go from being made out to be the early production villain to the late production underdog that you now feel compelled to pull for, unless you're a juvenile, bullying, thug yourself.

And San, Ilan and Cliff haven't been immature asses? The very fact that they sink to such childish behavior is commentary enough on what kind of character they have.
Uh have they been asses to anyone else but Marcel. Sorry but when 3/4 of the cast hates your guts you probably deserve it. Just like the "Last kid in Dodgeball" comment to Mike, Marcel constantly rubs people the wrong way. You reap what you sew.

Yeah he definitely has an issue with communicating...almost like he was raised by wolves or something. I feel like he doesn't mean it though. He's socially inept.

I got livid when betty was like "marcel snapped at me" he clearly didnt snap at all all he said was dont go lol man talk about metapause.... I think this is the first time betty actually ever had "friends"

I truly do not see why people stand up for marcel let alone like him. He's arrogant self centered and his food doesnt look apetitizing at all. if they wanted to fix people picking someone or them being like marcel. All they would have to do is bring back some of the chefs that were eliminated and judge the ones remaining. if you like marcel or stand up for him i hope you get a cat scan real soon because something is seriously a mis in your brain. I've met and fired many chefs like him but he did say one thing i agree with its not a personality contest judge the cooking not the people. still his cooking is lacking. however i'm ashamed that the judges have kept him as long as they have in the contest. they've had numerous times where he could of been eliminated and by all rights should of been eliminated. especially in the group challenges when you have to work with someone like that, they bring down the overall quality of the product. Mostly because if everyone is at each others throats because of him being arrogant and what not no one is paying attention to the food. coach's have said there is no I in team however one person can cause a team to fail horribly. That is the case with marcel. He should of been sent home a long time ago. Now the other chefs they are all good ilan and sam work in ny i believe sam owns his own resturant. Elia while i do agree she acts as if she has no backbone but i believe shes one of those rare people who are truly good. I also think she cares about everyone so it bothers her. her friendship with marcel scares me makes me think she too has something wrong up stairs. Bottom line marcel shouldnt win period under at circumstances for his behavior or his food. either of them are not top quality in this contest. To restate what i said before who ever stands up for or likes marcel i seriously hope you seek medical attention asap because your not thinking clearly. That or maybe i cant see it from your angle because my head isnt up my ***.

Come on...be fair. The "last kid in dodgeball" comment wasn't a slam on any level...he was apologizing to Mike for choosing Cliff and leaving him to be last. If people are going to hate on him, the least they can do is not make stuff up.
