Our own Andy Cohen, Senior VP of Programming and Production for Bravo, best summed up tonight's events in his blog today:
Big stuff on Bravo and BravoTV.com tonight. First off, the premiere of what will probably go down as our most controversial episode of Top Chef in the show's short history. I don't want to give anything away, but it's big and it's weird.
Right after the show, I can pretty much guarantee that you'll be hyped up, freaked out, and wanting MORE. So what you should do is immediately log on to BravoTV.com and watch the live premiere of our web series, Watch What Happens. I will be live joined by whomever is eliminated from the show and Judge Gail Simmons. We'll answer your emails, calls and texts.
Yes, you read that right: Bravo is going to start running a LIVE ONLINE SHOW every Wednesday night, starting...tonight! It starts at 11 PM Eastern, right after "Top Chef" ends, and it runs about twenty to thirty minutes.
Tonight's "Watch What Happens" show will feature judge Gail Simmons and another guest from "Top Chef" that I think you'll all really want to talk to...which you can do through e-mail, SMS, or our brand new toll-free phone number! So start thinking of questions you've always wanted to ask Gail or Andy or the special-guest-who-I-can't-name. Next week's guest: Tom Colicchio! (And others.)
Since it's live, west coast people will have to wait until we get the "archived" version of the show up onto the website much later in the night (sorry, guys), unless they want to tune in to "Watch What Happens" before watching "Top Chef" and thereby totally spoil the episode. We don't recommend that, especially since tonight's "Top Chef" episode is pretty shocking.
So tune into "Watch What Happens" tonight on BravoTV.com, or watch the archived video of the show late tonight or tomorrow. And get ready for part one of the Season Finale, coming in just seven more days... Hawai'i, here we come!
