We have talked over beers at a bar here in NOLA extensively about each and every contest and the insight and the critisiam he gives to the food in the challenges is incredible.He agrees it is not about the food anymore...He has not been a Chef for a number of years but was a graduate of The Cordan Blue has cooked all over the world and the last 12 here in NOLA as a chef before he decided to take a break.I think personally too him it is about the food not being a world famous chef. I think the reason if he gets selected and chooses to participate in his mind it will be about the food and showing the world what NOLA chefs are all about..IF he gets on..then the other chef's should be very afraid...lol

After seeing what this seasons cast went thought I would be shocked to see any real legitimate chefs apply. But who knows what 100 large will do.

As if Marcel had anything to apologize for in that particular situation.

Actor I agree but the least Bravo could do was to give them decent accomidations with some AC and more than one Bathroom for Pete's sake. Like I said before when MTV and a Show that wants its contestants to fight, The Ultimate Fighter, Give their contestants accomadations that are leaps and bounds better than bravo you know something is wrong.
I may not agree with alot of your posts WAJ but I totally agree that Bravo SUCKS for the crappy accomodations. Imagine what it was like at the beginning with 15 people in those holes with bad AC and so few restrooms. Heinous!
The when the accomidations on a tv show begin to resemble one of those trains in India with the people hanging off them you knwo its bad.

Just jumping in to ask a question, maybe Actor and/Holster or whomever...
With the rules clearly stating, threatening or actual physical contact can get you thrown off the program, do you think if they had either repremanded or thrown Frank off the show (like the just did with Cliff) when he threatened Marcel it would have prevented the craziness (scuffle) that happened on the last episode?

never trust what you see on tv or film. Editors work magic.
watch close. there's a cut as we see Marcel walk into the bathroom. then another cut as he comes out and whacks the camera. How do we know the scene of him walking in the bathroom came AFTER getting jumped by Cliff. That could have been shot 2 weeks earlier. <shrug> there's no way we could possibly know. It LOOKS like he's dressed the same, lighting is the same but anytime you see a cut there's a chance of editing.
Why would he go in the bathroom and take off his T-shirt and pants? If you just got jumped; would you strip down to your boxers? what if Ilan jumped him or Sam. who wants to fight in their boxers. that's a pretty vulnerable feeling. Most people would keep their clothes on in that situation. I certainly would.
I'm not taking a position on this. I wasn't in the editing room. But, it is something to think about.

Hubby's cousins do a lot of traveling. Bike shows, car shows, etc. They also go to Indy and Taladega (sp) Once a friend took a remote control car, removed the body and put a baby car seat on it. Then they put the dog in it and drove him around in the pit. Guess all the crews were taking pix and stuff. Sounded pretty cool.

We have talked over beers at a bar here in NOLA extensively about each and every contest and the insight and the critisiam he gives to the food in the challenges is incredible.He agrees it is not about the food anymore...He has not been a Chef for a number of years but was a graduate of The Cordan Blue has cooked all over the world and the last 12 here in NOLA as a chef before he decided to take a break.I think personally too him it is about the food not being a world famous chef. I think the reason if he gets selected and chooses to participate in his mind it will be about the food and showing the world what NOLA chefs are all about..IF he gets on..then the other chef's should be very afraid...lol

Shame on you bravo for trying to make this look less than it was. Poor decision on the parts of the editors to make it look that way. And now I'm upset with Tom's blog seeming to state the same event when he implies that he saw the original video. If that was so than obviously you knew all along that they attacked Marcel first.
I would also like to point out that Cliff only apologized after he was kicked off the show - after he had been caught. If he had been a real man, he would have apologized immediately or first thing the next morning. And before he left, it was Marcel that initiated the bridge for a reconcilliation of some sorts when he told Cliff "sorry it had to work out this way." As if Marcel had anything to apologize for in that particular situation.
I'm thoroughly disgusted!
Saw those too. You know that Marcel must have agreed to all this. There is no way they could have done all this lying and not have him co-operate...JMO, take it or leave it...(O:

will still need investors. What good does an article in Food & Wine do unless the restaurant is open? Harold is still trying to get his open. I think he's close but heck it's been almost a year since he won. People have forgotten about his mag review by now.

I think it would have stopped everyone in their tracks. Yes. As Tom C said, being silent is as bad as actively doing something wrong. In that sense, the producers, and Tom, if he knew about it, are at fault for "permitting" if not "encouraging" Marcel bashing. As a former teacher and design studio manager, I know the value of a few well chosen words. Even with "adults." As my father said, running a business is 90% people problems, 10% business.
So, yes, I do think so. But Betty is a wild card, and nothing may have stopped her narcissistic rages. Ilan is a coward and would have towed the line. Sam and Elia too.
So instead of the drama, we probably would have seen more "silent treatment." THAT would have sent the producers into depression....which perhaps is where they wiil be sent when they realize how inhumanely they have used these people for monetary gain.

I really hope at some point(for their own sakes) that the asshats do a Stephen and apologize/admit to their asshattery. Look at Stephen-he was a tool and a douche-but after his acknowledgements at the reunion he was greatly forgiven and even embraced by many. If Sammyboy, Ilan, Elia, etc. have any sense they will come out with some kind of apology/acknowledgement to redeem themselves. Right now Sam, Ilan, and Cliff seem to just be trying to almost justify what happened-and that is not going to cut it. They hopefully will realize before this season is over how wrong they are and will admit to it and apologize. No matter what happens in the finale it will not redeem them from this assault incident.
As with Stephen you can see the viewers/public at large are very forgiving if the responsible parties fess up and apologize. I hope some of them are reading this and take it to heart. If they would apologize and admit the wrong(and their part in it) I know I would be willing to cut them some slack..any others think the same??

I may not have been a Mia fan, but will say she did try to stand by her beliefs. Didn't know she stayed in contact with Marcel. Kind of cool. Elia is a nut case!
Yeah, she has messages to Marcel on his MySpace page. I remember someone in an interview talking about how Mia and LeeAnne have become his friends. At least they will have his back and not stab it.
LeeAnne is a real stand-up kinda chick.
