I think that Padma's announcement was the single-most suspenseful moment in the show's history. You don't have to actual touch someone to be held responsible for this act!! They are all very lucky not to be handcuffed and escorted out!! lol!! Is Elia psycho? I am terribly disappointed in the turn of events. I think that Cliff had potential. I don't think that the prank was intended to disrupt the grand scheme of things. I did not want to see Cliff go because of this. In my opinion, Marcel really needed to just take it like a man and not whine to the producers. Too bad that Cliff had to go. Sam needs to take this baby home, now.

How embarrassing. Reading through this makes me sad that I watch this show. I love to cook, I love to learn about cooking - this is no longer about either.
Drama Chef maybe, Jackass Chef, oh no, Good TV Chef - that's it.
Yes Cliff was wrong, wow, off the deep end.
Yes Marcel is a douchebag, like "Red" encompasses many colors, Marcel encompasses all aspects of being a douchebag - and good for him, cos he would have gone long ago if he wasn't.
but also,
the producers like good infuriating TV more than real competition,
the judges like their reputations more than any sense of continuity.
This year, it's become another reality show that has nothing to do with reality.

Marcel would have been gone as well. IMO, the incident was his ticket to Hawaii. All the judges said they weren't thrilled with his dish, so if there was no incident with Cliff, Marcel would have been packing his knives and going home. It would have been almost wrong to send Marcel home after all that- and almost disappointing because I "love to Hate" Marcel. I wanna see Sam, Elia, and Ilan prevail in Hawaii.
If there were only 3 going like last seaon, Cliff and Marcel would have sitting next to each other on a plane, and Ilan, Sam, and Elia would would packing their swimsuits.
