A good friend and co-worker of mine resigned in advance of being fired yesterday because she couldn't deal with the "heat" her new boss (who happened to be my old boss) gave her.
She couldn't stand it after 4 months, so she got out of the kitchen. Modern employee. Modern environment. Old saying, but hardly irrelevant or inapplicable.

I just like Marcel and forgive the others and feel sorry for Cliff. I think we all see more drama than there actually is. An example being when Marcel rubs Elia's shaved head at the end. She was not disgusted or anything..she was smiling and happy and simply stayed the same but moved her eyes and head towards him when he did it. No big deal. Yeah the sniping and the positioning they have done all season has gone over the top, and the prank/assault was certainly over the top....but really I do not think it is or has been as bad as we make it out to be for them.
I naturally still like Marcel...but I really have no bad feelings for the rest of them though. And yeah Sam is hot and Ilan is cute(even with the bald head) and Elia is cute as a button...I am so stupid and forgiving...I like them all. Oh well. It is just a reality show....

I don't think Marcel will win, but if he does it's not going to effect me one way or another. I will still watch the show next season and have a ball doing so

Thanks, CA! She's doing well, and has several opportunities she's persuing. It's just a shame she had such a personality conflict with "Boss Man." He's a "Type-A" personality all the way, and it's why I no longer report directly to him. She'll find something great, I'm sure, but I really wish she could have stayed within the company. It's an awesome company to work for, but (and I know firsthand) that particular "kitchen" is hell on earth!

My neice, who is only 7, did just that. Her little friend has cancer so it was her way to support her friend. I am so proud of her for cutting her long hair and donated it to Locks for love.

Thanks, CA! She's doing well, and has several opportunities she's persuing. It's just a shame she had such a personality conflict with "Boss Man." He's a "Type-A" personality all the way, and it's why I no longer report directly to him. She'll find something great, I'm sure, but I really wish she could have stayed within the company. It's an awesome company to work for, but (and I know firsthand) that particular "kitchen" is hell on earth!
It really is a "game," I agree. You either know how to play it, or you don't. If you know, you get "eggroll," but if you don't, you get what Charlie Brown got--you get a rock.

I am not bashing anyone either, and that means Marcel. More support here on the boards most of the time for Marcel and one in particular always bashing the group.

Read earlier that you have been trying some of the recipes. I found the QF this week interesting with the different uses of chocolate. I guess I thought they would all be desserts. The chocolate chill sauce that Elia made sounded good. My favorite part of the show is when they show all the different dishes. I love how they plate these creations.
