You seem like you've been around the Bravo boards for awhile, so I have a question: When one show ends and another starts, to posters from the old show's boards carry their animosity to the new boards? Or does it just depend?
-------------------------------------------
IGNORED: WhatAJoke, brillke
There've been a few crossover feuds, but most seem to sputter out eventually and die. Either that, or one feuder up and leaves because the hostility gets to be too much. There are just some personalities that conflict no matter what and no matter where, so while there have been a few that have moved from the PR Boards to the TC Boards and back again, they're fairly few and far between, thank goodness.
Iron Chef,
It's not a fued so much as its a quest for justice.
Don't you think that if you accuse someone of doing something and are proven to be incorrect that you owe that person an apology?
I believe that when someone has been proven wrong, they should at least say "Ok, ok, I was wrong." Whether the person feels it's necessary to offer an apology or not to someone they initially claimed was in the wrong depends on the individual, I suppose. I don't think an outright apology in a verbal battle like this is absolutely necessary, but I think an acknowledgment of the error and some credit to the person who was actually in the right would be, if nothing else, the right thing to do.

Tom Waits doesn't have to because it kinda looks like that naturally. That man seriously has a head of hair on him.
Marcel has to expend some effort to get his to look like that. Interesting, in an interview he was asked whether he really spent 45 minutes in the bathroom, and Marcel said no, absolutely not, or something like that.
Anyway, I've always wanted to run my fingers through Tom Wait's hair...not so much Marcel. I don't think he or I would like it much. I'm sure my husband wouldn't like it at all :-)

Ilan's hairstyle was what that dude on the Blowout show wore (or used to wear). I've seen lots of guys wear it.
PR2's Nick Verreos was the first one I'd seen wearing it, but it's definitely caught on. There's a guy at work who really really tries to rock it, but the poor guy must be using way too much product, 'cause he looks like the top of a DQ softserve with that little "curlie-q" every day.

DANG! i just lost my post again! My mouse has one clicky button that ruins my day! so, not replying to previous post, just using it!
about the previews for finale. here are my hopes/speculations/wild theories:
perhaps it was Ilan who cooked nothing or served nerthing or whatever it was that Chef Tom said in the preview and he is asking why they should keep him and not boot him and he says b/c Marcel is an A$$ and not a team player, a "virgin" etc and tom says, we aren't talking about your attitude in the kitchen but your cooking....that is my hope anyway. also, on that note, if someone didn't serve something or cook something when they were supposed to they darn well better go home since dave had to last year when the cirque de freaks preferred his dishes to the others. sorry, i'm still scarred
to holster in a previous reply: yeah, I could always tell Chef Tom liked Stephen b/c he'd take up for him about crap and say, he was "young". I think stephen was incredibly innovative and his food was beautiful but...I am glad harold won.
I also hope there are no previous contestant guest judges in hawaii, not just b/c they'd single out marcel if possible, but last season, it really took away my enjoyment seeing them as the high rollers. they knew too much about the contestants foods to really be objective and personally, i'd have like to see how real high rollers would have voted
sorry but I had to skip a ton of posts b/c I have to leave for a church thing tonight. Elia and I are having a prayer in to ask for forgiveness forher sins
see you guys tomorrow where I will certainly have a ton of reading to do!

But you would travel to work in theatre? Do you usually get the going Equity rate or do you carry over your SAG/Aftra rate or do you go by whether you really want to d a show or not?
Ofcourse I would travel to do theatre if I felt the show was worth it...see the thing here in NOLA is it is a right to work state so even if I work equity it is min. scale Sag and Aftra have nothing to do with Theatre...even when I do theatre here I usually make more than the equity min..lol With Indie Films you usually work for less than SAG scale but you get points on the film in the back end and by points I mean a percentage of the film..so if a film is sold for say 4 mill and you have 2 points or 2% of the film you can easily make atleast 100 k. I think the average small scale Equity contract is what $350 a week for 9 performances a week? That breaks down to about 5-6 an hour not much money. If your an actor you do not do theatre for money lol you do it for the love of it! That is why you have so many poor actors lol...I'm just getting to the point after 40 years in this business that I might start makeing some money in INDIE FILMS...the thing that cracks me up is if my face does become familiar it took 40 years too get there..lol

I have only been able to read a bout 1/7 of these post and wow...that has taken awhile...whew... anyway I have only posted a few times and each time I mention integrity and how it doesn't match to last year. So I decided that in order to make my prediction...I will number the chefs 1-4 and the first person to respond with a number (if anyone does)...that will be my pick to win it all. I know of no other way to do it...I can't really pull for any of them.
Oh but you can bet your sweet bibby I will by watching!!!

Hey actor...do you do stage work? If so do you travel to do it...like NY or other? Are you Equity or just SAG?
Yup grew up in theatre worked at the Alley when I was a teenager in Houston had a chance to join equity never did...I do get paid here in NOLA for theatre but union wise I'm Sag/Aftra...We only have one equity house here in NOLA and since Katrina we lost alot of our theatres slowly coming back that is why I switched to Indie Films!

I guess if you're going by "integrity" alone, then Marcel would have to win, simply because he's not allowed himself to be "overtly" involved in any of the season's drama. In which case, Marcel get's a #1 ranking, and the others would probably find themselves at:
#2: Elia
#3: Sam
#4: Ilan
I'd still like to rank them according to overall culinary skill and innovation myself, in which case I'd put them in the following order:
#1: Sam
#2: Elia
#3: Marcel
#4: Ilan

LOL Dames so true! I think it is one of the hardest professions to make a living at! My 25 years in L.A. even though I had some success I still had to work as a waiter, Bartender etc. It is a running joke in L.A. that every waiter, bartender, cocktail waitress or stripper is the next star, producer, or writer or director. In other words you really have to love the craft of creating despite all the hardships and believe me I have had my share. But it is like any other artists you have got to have the passion to do it...IF and that is a big IF, I get a chance finally to make a decent living and get paid to play it is a wish come true. Too be able to be in the calibor of say a Johnny Depp is what we all strive for but I'd say 75% of us fall to the way side trying for that dream. I guess I'm just to stubborn or it may be because I'm a Capricorn...lol but my Dream is to be like Irene Ryan and give that great performance and as the curtain closes die on stage, morbid I know ! The other is too die while having sex what a way to go..lol
But could not do the later because of what it would do to my partner..lol better to go out my first way who cares what the cast think...lol only kidding!

Yup filming on the 3-4th on a short film for Steven Speilbergs show Back Lot...Have the lead in a Indie Film called The Master starting in Sept. The Production Co. is trying to get Ian McShane for the master role if not him they are going after Chris Sarrandon. We are still waiting to see if my last film Dead Girl makes it into South By Southwest Film Festival keeping my fingers crossed on that one would be cool cause I could see AI again. We shall see!
