Wow..actor..I didn't read that the same way you did...not taking sides in the old fight...but I got that she was busting on Brangilina and all the hubbub that surrounds them wherever they go. And then she was talking about "bumping" into them in a funny way to try to get a role...I didn't read anything about your acting talents in the post...Now I think we all need to go to sensitivity training..lol...we are literally reading into things...

I can see where your resonse, Amazon, could have been misread as being disrespectful to actors as a profession and to Actor himself. Sometimes your humor is off. I know mine can be and I try to apologize when it's been misunderstood. But you seem unable to put yourself in someone else's shoes and try to ubderstand why they might misunderstand you...but come all guns blazing immediately and create hostility towards yourself where now existed prior.
The internet is an extremely imperfect mode of communication and demands extreme flexibilty.
You obviously may do as you wish, but Actor's response has validity, if only because your responses often can be read a number of ways.

Ian McShane!! That would be too cool. I always have liked him but grew "foolishly devoted" (damn! have to stop watching these reality shows...I've been watching the Grease/AG one) to him after seeing him in Deadwood. He was so powerful, it took my breath away. Do you think you'll get to meet him (if he takes the part).
I thought he had balls the size or oranges to take on the role of Al Swarigen. He said in an interview that part of the reason he took the role was because of the character but part of it was because he wanted to work with Milch.
Grr ... I will never forgive Milch for giving up on both his fans and a tried and tested winner like "Deadwood" for something as "wet noodle" as "John From Cincinnati." You leave in the third season of an acclaimed, established series to do an unbacked, unfinanced, uncast pilot about surfing?
And, sure, now it's got a cast and all, but it still sounds ridiculous, especially when all you want is to hear Robin Weigert's "Jane" make one more drunken comment to Charlie Utter.

Actor, Many of us are tried of this feud and I know that the three of you can defend yourselves so I have stayed out of it. But I have to say this- after getting to know you, care for you and appreciate all the joy and laughter you bring to these boards... when we have also gotten to know the hell you and your wonderful city have been through and to know the passion you have for your gift...the statement "sell frozen Hurricanes’ in front of their house", knocked the wind right out of me and I was stun. Joke or no joke, you did not deserve that.

For heaven's sake, Actor. I really meant no disrespect. I was kidding about the hurricaine cart, for criminy's sake. I know you are acting and going to be in a movie, been in movies, been in theater, etc.
I really don't think I deserved this, Actor. You're right--I don't read all the posts. I try to, but sometimes I can't. It's a time issue.
I'm not going to ignore you, but I will certainly be very careful about what I post to you in the future.

*sigh* *shaking head* Taking self off boards for awhile, this is too much....have enjoyed Brillke muchly, just getting to know WAJ and Amazon....but honestly, isn't there just enough manufactured drama on the show without more drama on the boards???? Actor you may have missed my post a few post back but I see your point now. No, no one is getting kick out of the club. We are all one big board family that do not always get along. The tension of the show is just that, the tension I think we are all feeling here. To me it is like a football game, It’s the 4th with 2 minutes on the clock and the chefs have us all sitting on the edge of our seats. We have no idea what play the Bravo coach has thrown in and we can not estimate which direction this ball (show) is going to go. But like true fans, we each have our favorite.
Reminds me of the one and only super bowl I attended, when the NY Giants took on Denver, in the Rose bowl stadium in CA. Image 75,000 people in a place for college football that should only hold around 45,000. Image me with Bronco jersey and hat on sitting in a sea of Giant fans. Now that is tension... and that is drama. Someone pass the cocktails around. I need a few.

What the hell?? does any of this have to do with Top Chef... There needs to be a moderator to delete 90% of what is on this board as it has nothing to do at all with the show.. I suggest a private chatrom or at least take it of this episode thread so as not to detract from the real issue which is Bravo is distorting the show this season.
What happened to the show. One contestant off for stealing/lying. Two cheat at camp glucose no one goes home. Two weeks with no winners, Mia sacrifice, reunion show cancelled.. 4 going to the finals instead of 3. Mike (who I like) pulling a double win with dishes way out of character for the rest of the season. Assembling 2 knockout dishes out of mid air and getting butchered by a dentist and then getting eliminated for not buying bread plates? Than Clippergate with footage obviously taken after the attack.

TWoP(Television without Pity) has a forum that includes Top Chef that is vigorously patrolled and On Topic. You might want to try that forum if this one is too OT for you. Image 75,000 people in a place for college football that should only hold around 45,000. Image me with Bronco jersey and hat on sitting in a sea of Giant fans. Now that is tension... and that is drama. Someone pass the cocktails around. I need a few.

Too be quite honest, I am not positive just WHO I want to win any more. Yes, I think what happened in the loft that night was horrible by ANY standards. Yes, I think sending Cliff home was right, he did put his hands on Marcel. Yes, I think the others should have been disaplined. How much or in what way, I don't know, but they should have been held accounable for their part. Do I think Marcel should win just because he was the "leper" of the group? Maybe. I say that because of all the people, he was the one that kept on track. He didn't let it all change how he was in the kitchen. Is he a better cook? Will never know that because I am not there to taste it. We will all have to hope that Tom, Gail, Padma and the guest judge pick the TOP CHEF on their cooking skills and ability and not on how much drama or controversy they dealt with. I have, in the past rooted for Marcel just because he WAS being picked on so much. That does not make a fair contest. However, wil defend anyones right to root for their fave, no matter who it is.

Yeah, I have a feeling you're right about Shane. Especially last season when Jo was flirting with him and all he could do was stand there holding his rifle (and no, that isn't a euphamism for something else) like he was gonna smack her in the head with it if she moved any closer to him.
At least with Top Chef we can hope that they don't behave in their everyday lives like they do on the show. There's no hope left for the Housewives.
