Hey, I know there has to be someone else here who has already watched the entire series. Can you give me just a little hint, without giving anything away?

Do they ever explain why Lisa drowned, what really happened to her, in a future episode?

Yes they do, but I am afraid you will have to wait until the end of season 4.

(groan!!) Ok, thanks. Did they have to drag it out that long?? Sigh.

Oh, thank you! Showing 3 episodes a week, that won't be very long! 8-)

Does anyone know why they are showing the episodes in 1 hour 7 minutes on Mondays but 1 hour 15 minutes on Saturday? Is the difference just commerical time?

Thanks!
stillme4you
I think it would make sense if they showed more commercials on Saturday. They probably figure more people are home, off work and such. And it's earlier too.

Yes, that does make sense. It certainly is easier to tape from a figuring out the timing point of view. 8-)

I checked the braodcast schedule versus the list I have of episodes by season, and since their seasons are 12 or 13 episodes, and they will start season 5 by the end of this month!

Awesome!

Today's MONDAY! You know what that means. Put the kids to bed, get some popcorn, a glass of pop, and sit down for a night of SFU. I'm waiting to see what happens with the scene where Nate was at Brenda's door and sees she has a guy tied up in her bedroom. That should be interesting.

Boo hoo!! I hate to even think of season 5 starting because that means it all leads up to the finale, and again I don't want it to end.

I have to wait until Tuesday to watch what I taped - so I spent yesterday afternoon viewing them. 8-)

Ah, but thank goodness for reruns! And, I find that when watch things the second or third time, I find something new that I missed the first time. Looking forward to that!!

So, did they show the finale on Monday night? I was taping it since I was away, and set the machine to tape 30 minutes beyond the end of the second episode, and it looked like they did. Anyone know for sure?

No, I the finale will air on 2 April, preceded by an all day SFU marathon. I've seen it already, and prepare yourself because you are going to be blown away! I became a SFU fan through bravo and watched up until season 4 when I decided to purchase the box set of the entire series. Instead of starting off where I left off, I rewatched the entire series! It is the most unbelievable show I will ever watch. It sounds strange, but I feel like I'm mourning the loss of the Fishers and friends since I watched the series finale. I wish there was more, but they couldn't have ended it better. If you are planning on taping the finale, you better make sure you set your VCR long enough. It is 75 minutes long without the commercials. Enjoy!

Yes, they did show the finale. I watched it. They are showing it again on Monday, twice. You may be able to catch it on Saturday, they may show it again. Check the schedule at zap2it.com for air times.

Thanks for the heads up on the length! Yes, I do plan to tape it - the schedule says it is 90 minutes, but I don't trust that schedule anymore, since it did not show the finale airing last Monday and it apparently did. 8-(

I like most of you miss this show so very much and was glad to see they are going to be reshowing it from the beginning. While nothing could ever replace Six Feet Under there is a new show called The Riches that comes on FX, it is really a good show. You can go to this link http://www3.alluc.org/alluc/tv-shows.html?...tegory_uid=9251 to view the past 3 episodes, it airs every Monday night, not sure of the time. It is really a pretty cool show. Just thought I would mention it.

i have a question was maggie pregnate when ruth called her after nate died she was at the doc office and was it nates
lookingleft
I learned from watching the "extras" from rentaling the 5th season that Maggie was NOT pregnant when Ruth called. She was talking from a dr's office because she was a pharmacudical (sp?) rep. I wondered the same thing and listened to the directors comments to find out the story!

Sarah: I just read your post about Bravo showing SFU over from the beginning. Is that what they intend to do? I only got in on the series the last four months of so and I am so taken by it. I recently saw the first couple of episodes in rerun and then taking a look at Bravo's schedule see only one episode schedules in the near future - this is scheduled for 5/12/07 at 9:15 in the morning.

I would so much love to know that Bravo will be showing this wonderful show again in reruns. If anyone knows if that is the case, please let me know before I run out and spend all of my puny investment account to buy the five-season CD collection. I really miss my Monday nights and Saturday mornings all curled up with the best show on TV in many years.

Tearfully,
Joy

Joy,

I believe that Bravo is planning on reairing the series. I looked at the schedule on this website though, and the times are rather erratic. It's not the same schedule as when they first aired the series.

I really miss the show also, and did indeed buy the box set. I understand what you're saying, it wasn't cheap. But I would HIGHLY reccomend purchasing it and watching it unedited and commercial free. It's much more enjoyable that way. Then you can curl up every night and enjoy one of the best shows ever.

i bought the box set on ebay....you can buy six feet under from overseas, its in different packaging and comes in about 24 discs but i got it brand new for 29.99!! its not cheap packaging either, it came in a black velvet box with a colorful cover over it with all the characters on it and the velvet box says Six Feet Under 2001-2005. the inside is a case of sleeves with all the discs on it. i highly reccommend it.. i watched the whole thing in 2 weeks. i think its from china.

Thanks so much for replying to my pitiful post. I have tried looking everywhere on line to see if I could find any scheduling at all for SFU and only found one listing for May 14 at 9:15 a.m. CDT.

I read somewhere in my searches that Bravo paid 5 million for the rights to rerun the series so it is hard to believe they would not show it over again. Especially now, during the summer. I feel as if I have lost "real" friends. Monday nights will never be the same. There are so very few TV shows I care at all about watching and SFU was the primary show that interested me. Woe is me. I think I will take your advice and purchase the whole boxed set. It must be so much better without the editing of language and scenes that were shown on HBO.

Thanks a million, Joy
Catwoman16201
I agree. I am so disappointed that Bravo appears to have quit running the series, especially since they showed the first few shows. I hope it comes back on. I will have to purchase the DVD otherwise. It is the best thing I have ever seen on TV.

Joy,

Trust me, as a genuine SFU fan I can promise you that you will not regret splurging on the box set. YOu will really enjoy the extras, including commentary by Alan Ball (the creator).

I have been having a hard time finding SFU on Bravo as well. I can't imagine why they wouldn't be reshowing it, especially is the spent the money that you suspect they did. They sure do show a lot of reruns of other shows, why not SFU also.

Just Buy it.

I think it is ridiculous that Bravo stopped running the series, with no explanation whatsoever. They show the Sat. morning ones to the very end, then start Mondays all over from the beginning, which I never saw. So I was pretty damn excited that I'd get to see the show from the start. Then *POOF*, it's gone. No explanation, no information on the website to let us fans know when it'll be back, if ever. And of course they don't respond when you send a questioning email.
It's like (no offense to those who watch) they'd rather put on shows with no real depth like Shear Genius, Work Out, or Top Chef.
I'm so glad I can count on A&E for my Sopranos fix.
(are you hearing me, Bravo?)
Probably not. mad.gif

I totally agree with you. Bravo shows so many reruns of their reality shows (that I have absolutly no interest in), when they could be showing SFU, something with some real substance. I guess the Real House Wives of OC is more important to some viewers, sadly.

Aaahh! That was so not fair. Showing the first 4 episodes of SFU this morning and then not having any more scheduled!? I, too, was disappointed when Bravo promised to air the show from the beginning in May and then changed their minds. Then, when I saw it on this morning, I thought they were bringing it back.

Oh, I know I could just go to the video store and rent it...but it's not the same as having something to look forward to each week.

Sigh. Thanks for the tease...

I absolutely adored that show, Six Feet Under. I hope they start a new season soon.

I saw an old episode last week...did anyone else watch? They were showing like 8 hrs of SFU. I only watched one in the morning and had to take off for the day. I would have LOVED to have just stayed home-cemented myself to the couch to watch them all. Boo-hoo! How sad!

It bums me out just being here typing...never have had a show "crawl inside my head" like this one.

I need to buy the box set.

My Tuesdays just aren't the same...not having that "SFU" hangover . LOL wacko.gif (Because I couldn't just record it..had to watch it)

I would watch the series again...please Bravo...air it again!

Can anyone help me???
I am trying to find out the name and artist of a song sung in an episode. I am not sure if it is even available. My mother said she saw an episode in which some women (possibly 5) sang a song at their friends funeral. She really liked the song and would like it played at her memorial service. She is under Hospice Care for cancer. She is not sure what episode or season it was from. I am hopeing someone out there knows and can point me in the right direction. I tried the official HBO website and found no mention of this event in the music listings. Thank you in advance for your responses.

In case they remove my last post because of the link I included, I thought I'd give some more information.

I think you are looking for "Calling all Angels"
It was sung by a group of Ruth friends at a funeral. I'm not sure who's since I missed seeing that one. It was episode 57 "The Rainbow of her Reasons"

The original artists were Jane Siberry and k.d. Lang.

I'm sorry about your mother.

Thank You very much. From what I've seen that is exactly what my mom was looking for. I guess in my haste to find the info I skipped right past it on the HBO site. I appreciate the info very much as my mom passed the evening of the 27th and we will need the music Sat. for the service.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.......You are greatly appreciated.

To buy, or not to buy?

Hey, guys!

I found DVD store recently. All its DVDs are much cheaper than any other similar sites I know. I bought Two and a Half Men Seasons 1-6 DVD Boxset plus NCIS Seasons 1-6 DVD Box set at $103. What’s more, they returned $10 to me for special offer. That’s so fantastic! And I heard all its DVDs are at Summer Sale these days. If you are interested, you should have a check. Its site is www.dvdsetcollection.com, go and enjoy it.
