Good Grief!! Since the other chat room was always empty, and everyone was using a different one, I deleted it from my faves and can't find it now. don't even remember the name of it either. Hey Kristl loved your post on kids say the darnest things...have one to add...I was takeing a smoke break yesterday and this three year old boy and his mother walked past me. The boy kept stareing at my leg cause I had a cig in it...but all he saw was the smoke....He was not coperating with his mom she asked what was wrong and he said that mans leg is on fire.....well we had a chuckle over that ..his mom and I tried to explain it was only a cig....but he thought I was on fire...funny stuff!

We were walking around the neighborhood...He saw the signs on the lawn that said the bug guy had sprayed.
So he asks what the signs say for the bugs..I tell him

Is anyone else as upset as me that sam didn't make it to the top 2 and win? that they actually picked ilan, who was an ass? He had no buisness being in the top 2. If sam had been there, he would have kicked ilan's ass. and They were way too hard on marcel all season.

Sam's gotten sort of a bad rep lately, and these days most folks seem to think he's a "weasel and/or a douche," but I'm not one of those folks. I'm with you, kate, I would've liked to see what could've happened had Sam made it to the finale as one of the final 2. Regardless of his "character," I think his food could have been worthy of a win.

Oh, definitely! Lots of people have said they wouldn't want to set foot in or eat at any restaurant he works at, which I think is a little silly. The guy can cook, he's obviously got the skills, and he's been an executive chef before, so he knows the ropes. He may have legitimately slipped up, and he may have been cast in a poor light there at the end, but it's not like he's going to spit in anyone's fois gras, so yep, I'd definitely eat from any kitchen he's cooking in.

They flew Wileam to Chicago on the 24th of this month and he was not at work yesterday so I assume he is still in Chicago ..it usally is about a three day trip so as soon as I see him hopefully tomorrow I'll let you know...oh and this was his third round he say's they are being very vague that much I do know..lol

I hope your friend, at least one of them, make it. Would be nice to root for someone we kind of know, at least through you. Guessing even if they do start filming soon, the show still won't start until Oct/Nov or some time around then. Still can't wait. I thought Marcel was the better chef and that the judging was based on producer ratings. The shows had too many judging conflicts in them and I'm not sure I am going to want watch bravo tv again.

After watching that poisonous Top Design episode last night, even Padma's impossibly long drawl, Metrotech call girl wardrobe, and occasionally vacant eyes seem positively fascinating by comparison. She has twenty times the brains and personality of anybody on that show. I'll gladly take skinny over stupid any time.

I only watched one episode of Top Design, the episode where they were designing a bedroom for a student. I thought for sure that the design (by the big guy w/glasses) would be eliminated. His finished room with the black walls and furring strip partition looked like something out of the "Hellraiser" flic; all it needed were the hooks and chains.
The room I picked came in second.
Padma doesn't bother me. In fact neither did Katie Lee Joel.
I was too focused on the chefs to be concerned about how a hostess dressed or sounded.

Wow... I was so dissapointed that a reunion show wasn't produced for the second season. I might understand why it wasn't done prior to the finale as the result of season 1 seemed to have an impact on the outcome of the performers. However, why not have one now that the season is over?

Yes, the TC1 reunion was filmed after the finale with the reunion airing before the finale. Harold, Tiffani and the four sous chefs knew the outcome but played dumb during the reunion.

Didn't a poster way back when say that Mia and one or two others had refused to participate in a reunion show? Aside from that, I don't think the producers could count on these people to even be civil to each other in a reunion show, much less hide who won. Added to that is the dilemma of whether or not to include Cliff. Better off leaving it alone, IMO. We saw enough poor sportsmanship as it was.

You are so right!! It would have been very difficult to get all these people to be civil and make nice after such a turbulant season!! On Project Runway they were able to bring back Keith who was kicked off due to impropriaties, but that was the one isolated incident and contestant!! On Top Chef, these people were at each other's throats and with Cliff's assault on Marcel, you might have had the idea of suing and they wouldn't want that!! lol!! It was the safe thing to do!!

He verbally assaulted Marcel at every turn and really lost his appeal by the time Cliff roughed him up!! I'd still do him though!! lol!!
I understand. I know what you mean but it was probably from all the b.s. I didn't think it was smart attacking Marcel either. I know they didn't mean real harm but that just crosses the line! Saffrom is a really expensive spice ... and yea ... he shouldn't use it in everything.

I just recently saw season two on a rerun marathon. I thought it was a bit more exciting than season one. I was drawn to Marcel from the very beginning. Despite his sometimes strange personality & bad hair style, I thought he always had the best looking food. He was the most creative IMO. Ilan is a big kid that needs to grow up. He's cute but too immature & his constant needling of Marcel was a turn off. I loved it when Tom said that one of them would go on to be the better chef in the longrun(Marcel!) because I think that is true. Marcel will excell!

I know this is late but I just joined. Hate Ilan. He's a beeep. Marcel should've won. He'll be more famous than Ilan.

Oh dude, I cant express how disappointed I am in ILAN! I picked him from a couple episodes into the season since he was personable, calm, people kept on task and focused; he was my favorite with Marcel being his competition as the villian! I was almost right except their positions have changed; talk about juxtaposition!! ! Marcel was found to be the more cutting edge chef, who was very singled-minded!! Ilan on the other hand degenerated in my eye with his non-stop aggression towards Marcel!! It had become his obsession it seemed!! He planted a bug in everyone's ear that Marcel was the enemy!! Then after he wins in Hawaii, he comes back a total doofus; no air of professionalism and maturity!! He looked more like a dishwasher not jumping into the task at hand saying he couldn't do it!! Spilling Marcel's cut up Mango was "bush" and he should have been shot right there and then!! They should have at least let them reshoot that scene so he doesn't bring disrepute to the production of the show!! I'm just lost in what is on this guy's mind when he acts the way he does as Top Chef!!

Ya I know. Marcel was always a favorite for me. I actualy like his Molecular Gastronomy work in the last two episodes. He finally showed us that Culinologists can make more than just foams. Ilan needs to show everyone that there are other common spanish ingredients in Spanish cooking(which I love) than Saffron. O and about the the cut up mango. Him going into the other teams room to spy was worse and more like topbeeeep.

Forgot to finish. Marcel will be more famous then Ilan. I know hes is sorta single minded but come on there are loads of kids like that in my school. I'm friends with a few. I would have bben happy also if sam or elia won the less so with elia. I had a heart attack when she shaved her head and I almost went out to go shhoot Ilan. This is the biggest reason why I hate him is brainwashing Elia.
