Nate hangs with some high school friends but finds that as adults, they share little more than teenage memories; Ruth gets relief from George's daughter Maggie; Brenda is reluctant to accept Margaret's help and struggles in her new internship; David and Keith's latest baby dream starts to resemble a nightmare; Claire bemoans being pigeonholed by her art; Billy defends his career but secretly wonders what happened to his old self; and Rico, mortified that he couldn't take a dating hint, seeks sympathy from Vanessa.

Ok, so Ruth is abusing Geroge - there is no other way to put it. The man is sick, for goodness sake, and she is just distant, cold, and unloving. You know, you can get respite care if you are the caregiver for someone that needs constant care, but if you truly love someone, you don't stop because they get ill. I am starting to think she never really loved him. This hits a little close to home, because my 91 year old father has been getting similar treatment from my step mother. I have to say that Maggie is a saint for not telling Ruth to go to a warm place.
Good grief - Rico - what were you thinking??? And, then telling Vanessa that his friend died?? Has he not learned anything about not lying?
Poor David and Keith. Just when they seem to be getting their life back together, now this adoption problem.
And, Brenda - you would think they do a better job of screening interns before putting them into such an intense work place? If it is not for everyone, don't you want to make sure that you only send people that at least have a chance of staying?

Oh, and I forgot - Billy - I knew it was a matter of time before he went off his meds. And Claire - will she realize that maybe she is not the wonderfully talented artist she thought?

Oh Rico, why did you have to lie about that girl to Vanessa? He's a glutton for punishment. That's pretty low.
I see a blow-up coming for Billy in the near future! I see signs of him starting to go mental again. Is this the ep where he threw his meds in the toilet and flushed them down? Uh oh.
I'm sorry, but Ruth is a b**ch. What a whiney, selfish baby! For better or for worse...what doesn't she understand about those vows? Oh, it isn't perfect anymore, so now she doesn't want it. Now look what she has to deal with. A man who has a mental illness. Boo hoo. He's still the same person, most of the time.
Well, now we know who that woman in the blue dress is that George is always seeing. Can you believe a mother would do that to her own kid? It looks like she was mentally ill as well. It does run in the family. First her, then George, then his son. I can see why he is messed up.
Claire has changed. She's more selfish now than ever, and it seems like she's also materialistic. I'm starting not to like her, or Ruth. I wish Claire would get back together with Russel. Maybe in the future...
I think I'm mixing up episodes too. Oh well.

People change, but one always hopes for the better. In Claire's case, it is not for the better!
