You go Jim. You are a star. I saw him on ivillage and thought ," Wow!!, this guy should have his own show". This guy has one big personality and I can see him winning it all, and even if he doesn't win, he is still a star in my book.

Jim first cut my hair when I was 12. He wasn't much older. I can remember every haircut he's given me since then and one particular 40s-style that was so fabulous I didn't want to sleep for days so I wouldn't ruin it. He's brilliant!
Besides that, I could listen to him for hours! The room lights up when he enters ANY room. He could just talk in front of a camera a people would be glued to their sets. He should have a show of his own.
I guess his dazzling personality is topped only by his genius with hair. He's the sure winner.

Jim Crawford is an absolutely amazing hairstylist. He always get's it right the first time. I love his work, and love being with him. Jim is kind talanted, hilarious, and cutting edge. Jim should have his own show, he really loves making people look good, and feel good. I would watch it three times a week!

Well it's about time that the country FINALLY gets to see the talent that Jim has to offer. America, meet the Rachel Ray of hair and makeup. Jim is knowledgeable, kind, caring, considerate and has one of the greatest personalities you will ever encounter. His sense of humor is infectious. You can't be around him enough. I know the viewing audience will be captivated by Jim's presence once he appears on the screen. He makes you feel like you have known him forever. After Jim is crowned the "Shear Genius" I think he should have a show of his own. Viewers could really benefit from the many years of experience that Jim has had in the industry. Or maybe even write a book sharing his beauty secrets and tips!!!

Jim's the real deal! He absolutely loves what he does. The combination of his experience and people loving personality make him ideal to reach the public, sell products/styles, etc. What makes him funny is his open style of being himself, and putting others at the same comfort levels with themselves. He's got what it takes. If he wins, so will everyone around!

With Jim in the show, I know this will be one entertaining, fun, high energy show. He has a personality that sparkles and makes everyone smile. He is one talented professional who can take a tattered mess of hair and transform it into an artistic creation of style and beauty.
He has worked with almost everyone in the entertainment world and his resume reads like a who's who in Hollywood. Jim is a star in my book, win or lose on this show.
Let the competition begin.
You have my vote Jim.

I'm Jim's biggest fan! it's not just because he is good. He is the nicest most giving person. He has been the hardest working hair and make-up artist i've ever worked with. For those people who have worked with him, you know he has a strong presence and has his gift of the gab, can turn out any celebrity or model in minutes, and will know exactly how to make a person feel at ease. he's amazing! so, for those of you who don't know Jim, yet.....get ready! he's one to look out for!

Well, after this first show, he's shown what you all have been saying here; he definitely has personality and there is NO WAY he should have been ranked number 8! And I'm sorry, but his "hair art" absolutely should have ranked above that silly treasure chest!

ok, so we have seen the competition and Jim - you are the winner 'hands down'! Both styles were fantastic and the short cut was adorable. So many of the other cuts were as the judges put it 'assymetrical'. Jim's cut was wearable, fun and functional! I prefer to be able to see - what were the other stylists (used loosely) thinking with the 'in your face' cuts?? I thought the purpose of a good cut/style was to be able to hold your head up and be proud, not hide behind a bunch of straggly locks! Jim, thanks for thinking of us real life girls! You are the best! Love ya!

Jim has got it all going on..he is cute and has one hell of a personality which we have see too little of. Instead the producers and editors of this dull show think it best to concentrate on that modern day Troll from New Jersey of all places..Tabetha who cannot utter one sentence without the addition of some obscenity. Just another bleached out piece of trailer park trash with a bad accent.
No matter what happens, Jim is a star and his list of clients reads like a who's who in Hollywood. He is a great guy who is better than this show.

You are too right! Jim's the greatest! He produced the only do I'd do of the bunch. I had to set up a new e-mail address just to get a message on this board after so many frustrating attempts. Just to show how much I'm rooting for you Jim. You were the first one to cut my hair once I reached the age of consent and I've never had anyone that matched your talent. Or wit...I wish the show would showcase the personalities of the contestants, because I'm certain Jim would bowl everyone over with his charm. Not to mention his expertise and artistry. He once colored my hair in the back seat of a car on the way to a hair show (which he won) so that it would match my dress (it did), then did an excellent cut & style once we arrived. He works well under pressure! And never loses his sense of humor. You go Jim!!!! Luv ya

IS HE SOMEONES PERSONAL BUDDY? what does that mean?
i wanted to say i wish everyone in this competition a lot of support and luck. the idea of giving talented people less time than it takes anyone to do there job properly is a bit absurd. the show would be more interesting if we actually were to see them work at what they do best, and compete without the constraints of a short time limit.
there is so little interaction between the contestants which is the fun part when your around a lot of hair people ,that is a show within its self. what are we seeing or learning from this show?
a lot of responses that are mostly negative (yeah that will make you want to continue on the show) from an actress,( who is she to judge, and what is her credibility for being a judge )since she is still wearing the same hairstyle she wore how many years ago(not that she doesnt look good in it), also a judge that decides who should wear clothing for a magazine is making decisions on hairstlyes...(where was his sense of style) that is like having a hairdresser decide who is a better clothing designer.
speaking of which, what exactly does this renee person do, i thought that he was a salon manager (someone to help the artists) but he clearly does nothing but walk around and interview them. i want his job i am sure he made some money for this "talent".are renee and micheal dating each other to get on the show as a package deal!and as it was stated in a previous comment the truth comes out.
- Carl Johnson
- (April 12, 2007 05:06 PM)
- Rene Fris' bio is a complete fabrication. He was a very minor stylist at Saks in 1999 and while there, fought with other stylists, was often late and always threatening to quit. He finally left in 2000, going to John Frieda. But let me assure you, he wasn't a "celebrityy sytlist" as his bio suggests: he got fired for not bringing in enough clients. No one followed him from Saks - a true testament to a stylists' worth.
Additionally, Rene's two style guides were not "best-sellers". A few thousand copies in Denmark (a country who's entire population is smaller than Manhattan) does not make an international best-seller.
I know that most bios include a bit of spin, but this bio is fraud.
How fun that someone who clearly fired renee supported the belief that just because you look good talent does help, and is best not to lie about it. at the end of the day this response is what bravo is looking for. how sad that they did not support the artists who could have made a show break away from the other bad reality shows. for a bit of interest and fun and longevity, they need more imput to decide what to do for some sort of interest. but i guess lots of responses like this is supporting somewhat there belief in the shows abillity to ............

You're so right. Jim finished as a class act with everyone sorry to see him go. I'm sorry I won't get to see him every week. He is a shear genius and the judges have made a mistake. I believe he is far better than the show and could write an amazing book detailing all of his knowledge and experiences since he entered the hair industry so many years ago. His clientele includes A-list actors and politicians and ordinary people (like me) who love and respect him above all. And are not only thrilled to have their hair and make up done by him, but are fortunate to spend time with him. No one has the ability to put you at ease and make you laugh the way he does. All the best to you, Jim....

Jim, you were obviously the most popular stylist on the show! In addition to the most posts and views on this board, your presence brought the other contestants to tears in the short time they were with you. That is proof that you truly are a very wise spirit who has blessed all of us who have the honor of being able to say we know you. Your gracious comments in your exit interview makes it plain to see that you are the most sincere, kind, loving, and sweet individual who is dedicated to his craft for the Shear Love of making others happy. You are incredible and the judges will regret having voted against you as they have lost an opportunity to make the show worthwhile. Obviously the producers are looking for something other than quality of character. You are best to be separated from this, you didn't need it anyway with the who's who on your client list. In fact my son said that the models may have picked a style of your creation that the others were trying to replicate! You are at the top of your game and we are all so very proud of you and love you more than you will EVER know! Bella Baby!! Smooches!
