Ok first of all, It's more interesting about the job, rather than who Jackie is hooking up with. I think the young trainer (Rebecca??) is just flirting with Jackie because she wouldnt mind the $$ or the attention/time on TV. It was nice to see lesbians portrayed in a good light. (good looking, successful, etc.)

I'm curious about Jackie's % body fat. It must be around 13, but it seemed unfair that she made her staff do the test but didn't participate herself to kick their butts!

I am hooked! Perhaps its just editing that propels me to keep watching, but I was amazed at how many Jackie personalities we got to see in one hour!
Glad to see Jackie-Mimi thing over (for both their sakes), but hooking up with Rebecca is a bad idea. Rebecca is a reality tv persona whose motives I am convinced are not entirely pure. And Jackie should know not to get involved with one of her employees, unless said employee were to leave the company and find work elsewhere. Unprofessional!
Jessie is Jackies pet, but she should really be riding him harder if he is supposedly representing her gym. So instead she takes it out on less body fat trainer, Greg! How cruel. I would definitely give him my business over Jessie. I don't blame him for being upset about being thrown under the bus by the boss in front of strangers (potential clients).
It is hard to watch the scenes with Greg knowing that he is no longer with us. He seemed like a nice guy.

Revision: I meant to say that Jackie took it out on Brian, not Greg.

I thought the very same thing! I'd be interested to know what her body fat percentage is. Jackie should have taken the plunge too, since she made her trainers do it.

I HOPE the Jackie-Mimi thing is over, but I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Ms. Mimi. She'll be back before this season's over, trust that!
I was so proud of Jackie when she said to Rebecca, "Just because I like you doesn't mean I want to sleep with you." However, from what I've seen of previews, they end up "together" in a sense anyway. Oh well. I was also glad Jackie backed away from that Russian nympho at the house party. This dispells the notion that all gays and lesbians want to do is sleep with anybody they can find. It ain't all about sex! My goodness, that Russian woman needed a cold shower!
Brian started that altercation with Jackie (he's always starting mess!) when he said, "Well Jackie, when you're not afraid of a real workout, come on over to Peelerville." I don't blame her for lashing out at him, but she was pretty rough in front of the guests. He's so haughty, but in his defense, Jackie did not "make" him as she stated. Brian could quit Sky Sport and get work at another gym all in the same day (I wish he would!) And I agree she needs to get tougher on Jesse. Insist he gets himself in prime condition like you do the rest of 'em, Jackie!
I am SO GLAD Jesse and Doug came to terms with their disagreement, espeically in light of what we all know was about to happen to Doug. It seems Doug wanted to be everybody's friend. What an encourager! What a good guy! What a terrible loss.
I'm anxious to see the progress of the participants in the Sky Lab project. Using everyday people in a workout setting is an excellent strategy in Season Two. I think viewers will be able to relate to the triumphs and failures of these people in their quest to get in shape.
Looking forward to next week's episode!

brian is a punk. hey, brian, don't dish it out if you can't take it! i'm glad that jackie shut him up.
i liked the doug/jesse make up. it was funny because they both seemed drunk and doug was hitting on jesse, and even though jesse said no, you could tell that he was thinking about it. lol
jackie/rebecca where do i start. lol they're cute. they're fun. yeah, it's a bit unprofessional, but hell, i hope they have fun. lol
i'm hooked on this show!

I'm glad Jackie is done with Mimi (I hope). I was happy to see my favorite comedienne on the show, Kathy Griffith. I'm glad Jesse and Doug made up in light of what we know is going to happen to Doug. That wasn't right when Jackie lit into Peeler at her party but that might have been the alcohol talking too, they all appeared to be drinking ALOT.

just to add, what's ironic about brian is that he can disrespect jackie and tell her to kiss his ass behind her back and rib her in front of her friends and in her own house, but he doesn't have the b*lls to stand there and take it himself face to face.
brian was ribbing jackie and jackie was ribbing him back. i didn't get why he got so p*ssed. he's just way too sensitive, despite his grandiose macho act.

This season seems a lot better than last season, EXCEPT the whole therapy thing. Made me feel a bit dirty to watch it, so I skipped through most of it.
Jackie/Rebecca - they both seem a little superficial, so maybe their a good match. We'll see...
I don't think Jesse is as nasty as he has been portrayed this season. I remember last season - he was cute as pie. And so what if he has a little weight to lose. It makes him more relate-able to the rest of us. LIKE THE SKYLAB CLIENTS!
I am already in love with Carol and Amy and Dina - they are great. Can't wait to see more.
I feel so bad for Tess. I was so sad that she had gained back her weight. I understand that struggle and battle it everyday (as do most of us). I really hope she is able to work out with a bum knee. Surgery, right?
I, too, was wondering why Jackie didn't do her body fat. I mean, she tells the world everything else about her. What does she have to hide?
Finally... PEELER.
Jeez, buddy. You started the smart ass remarks, which I thought were GREAT. But then you couldn't take it when it came back around. Lighten up and just know that if you ARE brilliant (that was a bit cocky, don't you think?!), you need to be able to roll with the fun/punches that you revved from the get-go!

Ehh, Brian lobbed a very old canned joke about Jackie not being a hardcore 'bulker.' (which presumably she doesn't want to be)
In turn, she cut his b*lls off with a tirade (with no jokes or attempts at humor) about how he owes his job, his livelihood and everything he is to her.
It reminded me of a friend of mine who just completely doesn't get it when it comes to kidding around with people. Somebody will say something like:
"Hey man, nice sweater... are you going to a Cosby Show lookalike contest?"
and he'll turn around and say something like:
"Oh yeah, who flunked out of college and only makes $25,000 a year and has an alcoholic mother who passed out and p*ssed her pants at his wedding???"
But, worst of all, Jackie forgot the most important rule of socializing with your employees... the "doorway rule." On the inside of this door, I am not your friend. On the outside of this door, I am not your boss.
She lorded her authority over him in a social gathering. She emasculated him and neutered him and basically said "you're nothing," and there wasn't one trace of humor in anything she said. It all simply boiled down to, "remember your place, peon."
It's extremely unfair because he can't respond in kind, without fear of what repercussions it may have at work.
And yeah, Rebbeca is definitely just Anne Heche-ing it up with Jackie. She wants the attention and the spotlight and the best way to get it is to be standing at Jackie's side.

I had to come on and post my two cents, Jackie i am so proud and glad that you got up off that couch bravo to you but please don't jump in one dysfunctional relationship to another, that's not a dig to Rebecca at this point any one is better than MIMI but your Rebecca's boss, and she's not a lesbian so i can for see problems. But you could totally tell Rebecca was flirting with Jackie at the bar she got offended by Jackie saying she tought of her as a sister, than she said "I'm going to start dating Jackie so i can sleep in this bed" so i was kinda put off by her saying Jackie was flirting with her and she didn't know what her deal was. Hello Rebecca you don't flirt then get hit on and contradict yourself. As for Brian chill out your the biggest teaser, crap starter there is so don't play all hurt when someone picks on you. Be a man, as for Skylabs great idea i hope all goes well.

I missed the first 1/2 of the episode, so I can't remark on it.
Brian is just a jerk! Gosh, I'm from TX, but he sounds and acts like Gomer. He's playing for the TV, too. The guy is dumb compared to Jackie, so he needs to back off. Plus, she's his boss!? Leave your job if you are so great! I hate your language and just mute the TV when you're on. You aren't important to the show or to Jackie's business. She can find all new trainers. What drama! Fire 'em, Jackie! Such a waste of the show's time.
Rebecca, your slutty attitude is annoying to watch. I'm tired of cringing when watching you.
Jesse, listen to your boss/friend. You are fat.

I was glad to see that Jackie ended it with Mimi. It was draining all the engery out of Jackie; she kept trying to make it work and Mimi could have caried less.
I like seeing Jackie's flirty side. I don't think it is a good idea for Jackie to even think about hooking up with Rebeca. Rebeca seems like a cool person and fun to hang out withh...but she is to young for Jackie and she is straight, she likes guys to much. Plus it is not a good idea due to that Jackie is Rebeca's boss. If they did get together than something happens...it would be an uncomfortable work place for them both and the other trainers.
Brian is to full of himself. I agree that Jackie did not make him who he is..but come on..hands of Michael Angelo...He is just full of himself.
What happened to Greg? I like him.
Well those are my thoughts for now.

that episode was so good! i think its good that jackie got the trainer's body fat, they need to know where they stand. poor jesse, he needs some help ;] he'd be even cuter if he was a little bit more in shape. omg that rebecca man she's just a little flirt isnt she! i think jackie should go for the gold i mean rebecca is like adorable but bad but innocent, plus her body is amazing. overall, great episode

I AM AMAZED THAT THESE TRAINER I.E. JACKIE IS WILLING TO DISCUSS HER PERSONAL LIFE WITH CLIENTS. DO YOU GO TO THE DOCTOR OR LAWYER (AND PAY HIM) SO THAT HE OR SHE CAN VENT ABOUT PERSONAL ISSUES. NO! BECAUSE IT IS NOT PROFESSIONAL!!!FLIRTING, DRINKING, AND SO WITH CLIENTS -----HOLY COW!!!!!! COME ON PEOPLE. YEAH, THAT'S WHO I'D PAY BIG MONEY TO.

THE TRAINER THAT IS TRAINING THE GUY TRYING TO PUT ON WEIGHT. (DON'T KNOW HIS NAME) THIS CLIENT IS EATING 4,000 CALORIES A DAY RIGHT? THE TRAINER SAID SOME LIKE HE EATS A DOZEN EGGS A DAY. COME ON, ANYONE THAT KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT FOOD AND GAINING OR LOSING WEIGHT.(SOMETHING THEY DON'T ADDRESS) GAINING WITH NUTRITION IN PROPER WAYS EX: 1 EGG WHOLE PROTIEN IS 13GRAMS FAT 15 GRAMS --1 EGG WHITE 4 GMS PRO. AND TRACE AMTS OF FAT. NOW, KNOW THAT WHY DOESN'T ANYONE ADDRESS FOOD JOURNALS, PROPER FOOD INTAKE GEARED FOR THE GOAL AT HAND. THIS CLEARLY IS IMPROPER INFORMATION AND CAN LEAD TO PEOPLE GOING OUT AND EATING DOZENS OF EGGS THINKING THAT THEY TOO CAN GAIN WEIGHT CAUSE THEY SAW IT ON TV ---SO IT MUST BE TRUE. CLEARLY THE EXECUTIVES AT BRAVO DON'T WORKOUT. THIS SHOW IS NOT A REALITY SHOW ON WORKING OUT AND ALL THAT COME WITH. THEY ARE LOOKING FOR DRAMA AND THE "SUCK THE AUDIENCE IN " FACTOR ,RATHER THAN THE COMPOUNDS OF "WORKING OUT". I GUESS MONEY AND RATINGS ARE THE BOTTOM LINE!

I COULD NOT RESPECT A PERSON OR BOSS IF THEY PUT UP WITH MIMI'S GARBAGE AT THE CLUB (THROWING A GLASS AT THIER HEAD) AND THEN GO BACK WITH HER. IF I WERE HER TRAINER AT THAT MOMENT, SHE WHOULD HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT FROM ME WHAT SO EVER. JACKIE (OR ANYONE IN THAT SITUATION) NEEDS GROW A SPINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you know that on boards or IM's, using all capital letters is considered shouting?
You're shouting on the boards here!!
Secondly, instead of ripping the show apart, instead of causing yourself all this angst... CHANGE THE CHANNEL.
Some of us are finding the show motivating BECAUSE it's not just about working out. It's about the lives of people striving to be/stay fit and all the challenges outside the gym that may or may not get in the way.
Please, lighten up!
AMERICANMUSCLE
March 30, 2007 - 09:38 AM
The reason I don't lighten up is the following. I had a 27 year old guy refered to me. He had gone head first thru a windshield of a moving van. severe head injuries. His insurance sent him to the "BEST" trainer in the state. That's what she advertized. She was paid Huge money to help him learn to walk again. 3 years later his arm was curled in and atrophied. This trainer's education was a weekend course. Now, how do you think that man and his family feels? When someone states they know how to train they need to state thier education and experience. This show if it is going to be a a soap opera that is sometimes filmed in a gym ---then state it. But these people by no means should project themselves as professionals in the field.
The heavy set lady that was on the show---she has a knee injury now. Where was Jackie during the time of injury and after. A trainer of gym and a owner should have worked with her motivation post-injury, with her diet and gotten her help with the rehab of the injury, regardless of who is doing the rehab work. Jackie should have been in touch with that therapist. But look Jackie is willing to take her money again . Now, that lady , who got very small results is back to square one. She gained all the weight back. Does anyone address how hard that is mentally on someone? That's the real word! Not freezing the eggs of an aging lesbian, or the parties etc...etc...

tess could've gotten in touch with jackie too. people sign up for a membership and when their membership runs out, they're on their own. that's the way it is. once the trainer has helped that person reach his/her goal, it's up to that person to continue or not. these trainers are not these peoples babysitters when they're not on the clock.
i said it once and i'll say it again. this is an entertainment show. period! it's on tv to entertain those who watch. if your not entertained, why watch. they have work out sessions on the show, but that's not the main focus because they may not get the ratings if it was a show 100% about working out. i certainly wouldn't watch. lol it's mostly about the drama of these trainers lives.
i love the show just the way it is.

I too was glad to see Doug and Jesse clear the air even if they did need a little "booze" to soften the tone of the apology. It also appeared to me that Doug was flirting with Jesse or was that just "fun talk" when Doug asked Jesse to go home with him. Its hard to believe Doug is gone...!
I am glad to see Jackie enjoying her new singlehood. I hope she sees what she's been missing and the last thing she needs to do now is get into another dysfunctional relationship..ex Rebecca! I think she needs to enjoy her life and her success and learn to love herself before she looks for someone who will also love and RESPECT her! I too believe we haven't heard the last of Mimi...I've grown fond of the turmoil she tends to bring to the show and look forward to seeing her.

Okay, AM, I hear you. But there are some injuries that simply cannot be rehabed until after surgery. (I have a little experience in the field myself, and it isn't a weekend course.)
I believe that Tess said she had to sit on the couch and watch herself get bigger. That indicates to me that this was a real injury with bedrest until surgery. If you watched last season, she also said that she had a thyroid / endocrine problem. This indicates that she MUST have diet AND exercise to lose weight. One without the other simply isn't effective.
All I am saying is that we DON'T know the certifications of these people, we can't judge them based on the show. If you're going to judge anyone, judge the editor, but I still say this is a motivating show. I fell in love with Tess last season and really felt motivated in my own life!

I so agree with you Workoutqueen. Aside from not knowing the real circumstances behind Tess's situation and what transpired between her and Jackie in between seasons, the show is 97% DRAMA just like its marketed.

I think it was great! Although, I think Jackie may want to look at herself. She is in great shape physically but emtionally she is SO unbalanced. She is constantly projecting her own negative energy onto other people. She needs an energy healing from me (lol). I often feel that people really into physical fitness are control freaks, ( being that what they put into their bodies and how they treat their bodies is the one thing they can control) she needs to get balanced and find her own bliss in the emotional/physical plane.
- Also Bravo I hope your getting money from all of the white wine companies out there. There is way to much drinking on the show!! What's next camels and hash ?

I do agree with you workoutqueen. It is just sad in general. Tess need someone and as Tess's trainer that person should have been there during her time of injury. Even if only for emotional support. Maybe it is editing, but it would have made Jackie or anyone else in thet matter look like a more careing professional. She got paid alot of money during the time of training. It raises the question .... When the money is no longer coming in does a persons true colors shine???? I do agree we, as the viewer do not know the whole story. BUT, if it where you in Tess's shoes wouldn't you want your trainer to keep you on the road to mental health while dealing with an injury? Even if only weekly phone calls. "hey how do you feel??" That in my opinion is the "personal" in personal trainer. An injury set back is one thing, but the mental side of going backwards from all the prior work achieved-----sometimes that's a killer!

I just started watching this show and I love it! I just can't believe how much Jackie has put up with in regards to Mimi. Jackie is such a strong accomplished woman; she should know that she deserves more than Mimi can ever offer. It is so true what Jackie has said about Mimi: that she (Mimi) cannot be happy for Jackie as she sees her succeed in her business.

Brilliant post and keen insight. I completely agree, by the way. I was shocked at how Jackie tore into Brian...and then in turn disappointed that he didn't just stand there and stare coldly at her, as if she'd grown a third eye. Her wildly inappropriate and narcissistic remark deserved to be underlined by a pointed silence. Peeler's reaction just diverted the attention elsewhere. Too bad, Jackie deserved an uncomfortable silence from everyone around her for that one.

Did any of you braniacs think that she may have taken the test buther results were edited out? This show is heavily edited for the stuipid people that can't figure it out.
Dickheads.
It occured to me 100%. I'm still curious, because the show implies she's within the proper range but I'd guess from looking at her it's lower.
Dickheads? I don't think that word means what you think it means. I also think you meant that the show
is not edited for stupid people. Lay off the steroids, dude, or whatever is causing you to see red and post angry, impulsive things.
