New as well, and I can't find any record of Mary McDonnell being interviewed and she would be great. Two Academy Award nominations, one Emmy, and at least one Golden Globe ... she has been mentioned by other guests as being amazing to work with, but I can't find any record of her being a guest herself.

Hi
I'm new here ...... I would love to see William Fichtner
He is an intense, versatile performer, William Fichtner has become a memorable character actor through his work with some of the most notable filmmakers of the 1990s and beyond. Fichtner earned kudos for his psychotic hit man in actor Kevin Spacey's directorial debut Albino Alligator (1997). As a gentle blind scientist in Robert Zemeckis' empyreal sci-fi adventure Contact (1997), Fichtner further revealed his considerable range; among the hip ensemble cast in Doug Liman's time-bending rave comedy Go (1999). He also portrayed one of the ill-fated swordfishermen in Wolfgang Petersen's adaptation of The Perfect Storm (2000). He now appears as Agent Mahone in Prison Break (Fox)

Gerard Butler would make a great interview..he's got an interesting
career and his performances are very thoughtful. His Phantom of the
Opera and King Leonidas from 300 are my favorites and show the
range of his talent and depth of committment to a role.
He's also a great storyteller as a Scotsman with a great sense of humor. His experiences would certainly be interesting to the students.

I think Gerard Butler would give an interesting, thoughtful, and funny interview. He is always open and honest, and I believe would have a lot to say of interest to the studio audience as well as the TV viewers..about acting and anything else that would come up.

Mary McDonnell is a perfect choice. She has had a varied and interesting career, nominated for oscars, emmy, golden globe, has won an Obie. She is very intelligent, funny, beautiful, kind and speaks quite well. I heard her give a public talk and the audience was enthralled. She is also great at Q and A. She is also a phenomenal actor and is doing some of her best work, in my opinion, on the critically aclaimed TV series, Battlestar Galactica.

He's had such a varied career and is passionate about his work...and I haven't ever found any real in-depth interviews with him. I think it's safe to say that would be well-watched hey?

I would like to see June Foray as a guest on ITAS! She is about 90 years old now, so James Lipton better hurry up with the interview before she...you know...dies. She's famous for her voice- over work, and I'd find it interesting to see an actor like that on the show because those types of actors are very underestimated/unappreciated in the showbiz world.
So, I hope some producer will take a look at this message and quickly set up an interview with the legened before it's too late.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!
If not her, interview atleast one voice-over actor like;
-Frank Welker
-Maurice La Marche
-Billy West
-Tress MacNeille
So, please interview one of them, they deserve praise for the many hours of work they put into creating and giving life to memorable characters that will go down in television and movie history.

Someone mentioned Maggie Smith. I think that is a good choice. However, my first pick would be Julie Andrews. Julie Andrews has received an oscar, three golden globes, at least two emmy awards, the BAFTA award, and the screen actors guild life achievement award. Julie Andrews was also a recipient of the John Kennedy Centre Honours in 2001. She has been named a Dame by Queen Elizabeth II. What more can you ask for in an accomplished actor?

Gerard Butler would be great! I saw Gerry in 3 movies before I realized all three of them were him! He has the ability to become the character, from head to toe - so few can do that. I've enjoyed learning more about him this last couple years, mostly from the great bunch of fans who support him. Half the show could be spent sharing about the fans and what they've done for him. They are always supportive, and up to date on his projects. I can't wait!

GERARD BUTLER, most definitely!
This intelligent, interesting, versatile, powerful actor has flown under the radar for far too long! The man is poised to enjoy a long, solid, quality career, and we who appreciate him will benefit.
The elegant James Lipton's thoughtful, well-researched interviewing manner and well-framed questions are perfect for the self-deprecating, unpredictable personality of GB, who usually responds most satisfyingly when actually given time to answer a question, instead of fielding too-fast, idiotic crap from most of our so-called 'news professionals'.
Inside the Actor's Studio is one of the finest offerings on Bravo or any other channel, and in my home it has always been a 'must see.' My thanks to all involved.
Now, about Gerard...

I think a great guest to have on would be Roderick Toombs, better known as "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. I know, I know, but the man has been a professional entertainer since 1969 and has been in over forty features and various projects ranging from "bit" parts on TV shows, voice acting, leading roles and even three or four music videos. That's not including the impact he has had (and still has) in the sport of professional wrestling. In my opinion, this man is a multi talented, multi genre performer. And I'm not alone in my thinking. Legions of fans would most assuredly tune in to watch their hero on Bravo "dishing" about the opposite side of the spectrum of his career. Not to mention that his own personal life is something that a script writer couldn't invent. I believe that Rod would be a fascinating guest and wouldn't hurt or discredit the Actors Studio or the show one little bit.

I would love to see Gerald Butler interviewed, too. He chucked his Law Job and life in Scotland to become an actor because he was utterly unable to live a happy life if not an actor. It's taken him 12 years to finally get well known, but he has made some wonderful, unusual movies before 300. I just think that his desire to be an actor would make him such a good guest for the acting students in Lipton's classes; Butler gives wonderful interviews, so he would be interesting as well. But basically, it's just his inner dream, his driving force to be an actor, that would make him an inspiration to all those who watched the show.
